Magnolia

(Jeez it's been a while since I've drawn her)

I referenced her as the Poecilotheria tarantula/spider and used some of the tarantula's color palette for her and in all honesty, I like the color palette! Fun fact about Magnolia (in her opinion, not the best) like tarantulas she can't really eat solid foods/prey and can only ingest liquids, but she doesn't need to eat as often as humans.

Can she eat regular foods?

Yes, she can but she has to blend it down and liquefy it so she can eat it.

(If you are wondering why Magnolia is lifting herself, instead of sitting down. It is because of her abdomen [is also the reason why she's thicc] Her abdomen like other Spiders/Tarantulas have all her organs and is where her heart is, and tarantulas tend to be relatively delicate since the exoskeleton of the abdomen is relatively thin. She can die if she isn't careful with her surroundings and tries not to trip backward.)

Ok backstory time!

Valéria and her mother moved to the Encanto as they were banished from the isles for (*ahem*)reasons as for that they had to find a new place to call home! So they packed their things and her mother used her staff to fly somewhere far away from the boiling isles

They ended up wondering into the Encanto, I feel like it would be weird to see new people entering the Encanto out of no where and they have magic too, like the Madrigals do. Alma would be suspicious at first but would be kind enough to let them stay.

Inviting to dinner! Valéria‘s mother doesn’t want her daughter to be alone as her daughter has her own quirks that can be seen as weird towards others so she’s sees it as a new start for her! Her Palisman is a Cockatoo, his name is Collin and is very territorial of his owner, since Cockatoo’s bond with their owners like mates and will protect them at all costs, and he‘s a bird who will closely bond to one person in the household and may shun the rest, even becoming aggressive to anyone who isn't “their” person. so he basically sees Bruno and almost everybody in the Encanto as a threat (you can see him eyeing Bruno lol😂)

I can see Sebastián being protective of Bruno as well! Like i can see a Bruno protection squad brewing.

Valéria is a hugger, and does not know the meaning of personal space, because her social skills are pretty bad but she works on them with Collin and her Mother and still tries to be friends with everyone! She does have anger issues that still need be resolved but she’s alright.

Florencia is officially a Madrigal

Lemme tell ya, their wedding day was complete chaos. Never leave Pepa in charge of decorations, make sure Agustine stays away from catering. Oh! And one more thing. Don’t let Alma have full control of your wedding. It can only lead to some unnecessary arrangements.

Luckily the wedding was a complete success and they were able to enjoy the rest of their day with ease. Who knows, maybe I’ll make a comic outta this.

Encanto Owl House Au ! Another Fanart from the idea and design from @ramshackledtrickster ! Such a delight to draw stuff from their idea. One thing I can do while I‘m in quarantine is drawing and this idea kinda sucked me in and here we are. I hope there will be more fanart from other artist from this Au, I would love to see it, too. Bruno Looks kinda soft and his third eye is shut. Cute Sebastian is his rat Palismen. The first one is a png. with a transparent background.

Valéria does homeschool them to help them with their choices of magic and Covens as best she can, and the Madrigals also help them out too showing them the benefits of what they choose and the downside of it.

For David I think he wouldn’t want to be in a Coven, because he likes using all kinds of magic not just the same thing he’s stuck with for his entire life. Although he did take an interest in the Bard Coven that doesn’t mean he wants to be tied down to it.

As for his Palisman, it would be a Fox their personalities are shy and timid, and they represent wisdom, quick-witted, and cleverness. I thought that it would fit him better and I like it!

For the twins it was hard but I think I like where I’ve put them right now!

For Hugo, I would see him being in the Oracle Coven, not just because Bruno was in it and that he also has a third eye like him(which he also keeps closed as he is self-conscious about it), but because of how it can be helpful in peoples lives. Not a lot of people trust him or his brothers because of their fathers reputation but he still seeks out to help other people, even if he is deaf that doesn’t stop him. He’s more with palm readings and fighting as for fortunes they aren’t his cup of tea but he’s still learning.

His Palisman would be a Rabbit, their personalities are highly intelligent, social and affectionate. They also can be bratty, willful, destructive and even vengeful. He can be like that only because a lot of people forget that he is deaf, so he can be emotional towards people when he sees their expressions showing that there yelling or that they think he’s dumb, even though he doesn’t look it, he will be up someones ass if they get on his bad side and say mean things about his family, mostly his side of the family. He will give somebody a bad fortune and not regret it. What the rabbit represents is love, harmony, sensitivity, and imagination. Those traits he does have he does have an active imagination, and he pours it into his drawings.

Lastly Atifa, he would be in the Healing Coven, I did think about him being in the Plant Coven like Valéria but then I thought that wouldn’t be something that defines him so I chose the Healing Coven, because he has a extroverted personality, and he loves helping other people like his Aunt Julieta! He likes to help her in the kitchen when she has too much on her plate he and his brothers are always willing to help out and let her relax.

His Palisman is the wolf, the decision was between the iguana or the wolf reasons to why I chose the wolf is because what the wolf represents Loyalty, Compassion, partnership, and togetherness and even thought their personality is complex they are caring, caring, playful, and above all devoted to family. Wolves educate their young, take care of their injured and live in family groups. Although this seems more like Valéria, he does exhibit these factors whenever he looks after his little brother and Antonio. Mostly Antonio because he loves his little cousin very much that he hangs around him a lot and helps him with whatever he needs, he doesn’t take the spotlight away from his siblings.

Ok so if you’ve seen the post of where Mirabel and Camilo are hugging David then you know who he is

this is David! ⬆️

It took me awhile to find out how to write and draw this character because with his first one I didn’t really feel that it was him or right for him

this was his first design, originally he was supposed be 13, have the gift of Empathy and that he was deaf, also he had a sister named Elena, and I liked but only for a little while, so I dived into rewatching some Steven Universe episodes (even SUF) and then that got me thinking, the fact that he was hating on his Moms decisions and that it was placed down on him, all of her mistakes, and problems she caused just got passed down to him and he barely knew shit. The absolute resentment he felt when he heard that Pink hurt her first Pearl in episode 2 or 3 of SUF, he was so fed up with fixing his mothers problems and hearing about it again.

Rose didn’t mean for that to happen, even though made mistakes she had good intention, she went being a Child throwing temper tantrum left and right to being a matured being. The things she did can’t be easily forgiven but she tried to be a better person.

(Used to be a hater for Pink/Rose but after rewatching some episodes and analysis videos it changed to just being neutral about her)

I loved it, it fitted him more than the first one I changed his gift to Cyrokinesis (because of the let it go lyric at the end so I thought yeah this could work?)

It has a reflection on his emotions when he was both young and how he is now. When he was young you could he was like Jack Frost, He loved snow days cause you can have fun with friends and family, but as he got older his personality on the outside changed from snow to ice. He was treated the same way as Bruno, other than the fact that he always took the blame for his cousins problems and mistakes.

I wanted to give him siblings and I wasn’t feeling it for Elena so instead I changed it up. He now has young twin brothers named Hugo and Atifa.

I’m still learning how to texturize African American hair and how to draw digitally because doing line art on it is Torture.

Atifa is older than Hugo by 1min. If you look at Atifa’s shoes they are the colors of his brothers in order David, himself, and then Hugo.

As for their powers Hugo has the Telepathy power and he is deaf and can communicate by ASL or using his gift. I can see him and Dolores getting along pretty well not because she can hear every and he can hear and see images of peoples thoughts, but because he grew attached to her when he was young and saw her as an older sister and they can relate to each other!

For Atifa I transferred the Empathy gift onto him! He is an extrovert and social butterfly, willing to befriend anybody! He likes to hang around his Tias and Tios mostly with Pepa and Félix, he also helps her with her emotions only when she‘s alright with it. He can absorb other peoples emotions onto himself but it mentally drains him and he gets tired.

They were born 7 months after Bruno’s disappearance, and after they were born Valéria moved back to her old home, because she didn’t want Abuela to treat them like she did with Bruno or anybody else in the family (Mirabel mostly). As the years passed she grew very depressed, always thinking about why Bruno left and thought was because of her since she had anger issues that still need to be resolved, and abandonment issues. She had many emotions towards him, mostly she was sad and mad.

Atifa offered to use his gift to help her but she always refused, always covering it up with a smile and that “I’m fine“ with an excuse. She never lets her emotions get the better of her all the time, she didn’t have the time to cry about someone (who she thought) had walked out on her and her kids! So she always pushed her emotions away and focused on her kids and family more!

Always willing to beat someone’s ass to protect them, and shall always be there for them!

I would see Valéria being in the Plant Coven, because of her gentle, and caring nature, also because she’s always been interested in farming(is a side job in the Encanto) and gardening!

As you can see Mirabel sewed flowers and the Coven brands on her cape and the second layer of her dress with the Oracle and Plant brands too!

And yes, she is both married to Bruno and taller than him by 4 inches, he doesn't mind it that much but only when he tries to give her kisses does it bother him a little, but she fixes that problem easily by getting a step stool, placing him on it and taking off her boots and then he’s 5’8 too. or just picks him up.

(Yes I ship my Oc with him, fight me)

If someone tries to harm or insult him, they’ll have to deal with a very angry wife who will use PDA to make them uncomfortable. Only does that because he doesn‘t like violence.

Reason to why I changed her appearance was because I thought she looked to much like Mirabel so I altered it, and I have to say I’m very proud of it! I chose the dreadlocks because they look really cool and it’s more her style! she is an Afro-Peruvian if you were wondering!
