So as a result of getting back into Wild Kratts, the idea I had for an OC kept gnawing in the back of my mind until I eventually caved in and did it. I finished his reference back in January, so ignore that this is roughly.. 2-3 weeks late. Whoops!

This is Cedar!

Backstory blurb below the cut...

Cedar, formerly known as Finlay Armstrong, was a lab technician and data administrator hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. Upon learning about the Kratt brothers and their unique methods of researching wildlife all across the globe, he was inspired to create a replica creature power suit with the hopes of being able to conduct similar research for the better of his own team, as well as the whole of Scotland. He and his team were successful in their efforts, but amidst a testing phase, Finlay underwent a transformation that quickly became irreversible when the suit malfunctioned.

Unfamiliar with these new animalic instincts, Finlay quickly became overwhelmed, with his colleagues' attempts at calming the man-turned-wolf quickly failing as he lost control, going on a rampage that led to team members getting injured and lab equipment being significantly damaged, including replica creature power suit as it was turned to nothing but scrap.

When the opportunity presented itself, Finlay fled into the wilderness, leaving hardly a trace nor hints to where he might have gone... But he's still out there somewhere, lurking, enduring a new life in unfamiliar territory, taking on the name Cedar to hide his former identity and remain hidden.

Aight so a couple weeks ago (??) when I first saw @ranfordgallus' silly WK oc, Einhorn, the lone brain cells floating around in my cranium came up with the random ass idea to like.. Draw Einhorn encountering this one alien horse thing from a creature survival game I used to play. Thought it would be neat because Einhorn got one horn, and the horse also has one horn. Fast forward to NOW.. I did it

Einhorn and th.. The alien horse, equeruma. They both got one horn. That's it, that's the only reason Also have this because it's five in the morning and I thought this was mad funny \/

Despite being the most rare species...unfortunately the burden is that he cannot find a mate to love due to being the only one-horned antilope (or in this case, a unicorn) to be discovered and no other species like him

I wanted to give him a mate but...ehhh i got zero ideas, i wanted to do oc x oc with my friend(s) where they make an oc to ship him with but...im too shy to ask, to make an oc for the sole purpose of being his mate sounds too boring thats why i need her own personality and backstory and lore so it will work maybe..

But i can't ship them yet if he happens to find a "mate interest", because they just met, maybe it's like friends to lovers OR...smirks...enemies to lovers OR..enemies to friends AND to lovers...siighhh, slow burn....teehee... any of my friends who want to....make an oc....TEEHEEHEHEHEHEH..so we could ship them together...

Hey there!

My name is Adler, but I also go by Rasmus, as well as a few other nicknames my friends have given me over the years. I'm a fresh adult furry who just graduated high school last year (class of 2024) and is still trying to find their place in the world. Hello, everyone. I'm making this new post in hopes of revitalizing Youssef's campaign which is stagnating. Youssef is NINETEEN YEARS OLD and he bears the crushing responsibility of keeping his family alive during a genocide. In Youssef's words:

"Every day is a new battle. I work long hours, searching in the corners of the camp for any opportunity that allows me to earn some money. Fatigue grips me, but I can't afford to give up. My father is sick, trapped in his pain, and his eyes plead for help. There are moments when I feel my heart shatter when I see his gaze; he endures his suffering in silence, but I know he is hurting. As for my little brother, despite his innocence, he is fighting hepatitis due to contaminated food that we are forced to eat."

After a few weeks of pretty consistent 20(+) per day donat1ons, suddenly we've dropped to FOUR in 24 hours! Youssef and his family are still struggling, so let's not give in halfway. Currently, we are at $7611/15000. Let's do our part and help relieve some of their suffering.
