Damain: Drake.
Tim: Demon Brat.
Damian: ...
Tim: ...
Damian: I require access to your power points.
Tim: Oh?
Damian: There appears to have been a slight oversight in regards to Daniel.
Tim: An oversight? About Danny?
Damian: yes.
Tim: ...
Damian: ...
Tim: Which one do you need?
Damian: Hero 101.
Meanwhile in Dukes room.
Duke: Danny why are you hiding under my bed?
Danny: I am not hiding.
Duke: ...
Danny: fine! I am hiding from Dami.
Duke: Why?
Danny: He said I need to have a talk with him when he learned that I go by Danny Phantom in the field and even go out without a mask.
Duke: So, it's not a stabbing threat?
Danny: He called me dearest little brother when he said that.
Duke: ...
Danny: ...
Duke: Dick or Cass?
Danny: Can you ask Jason if I can camp out in one of his safe houses?
Duke: Sure.
Damian: Daniel, I know you are in Thomas's room.
Danny: Hiek!!!
I fully agree with you on the bad parents bit. Throughout the show, they are shown accepting him pretty much outright when his identity comes out. I understand them when it comes to being neglectful parents, but murderous or attempting to dissect him never really seemed like a possibility. It's honestly really hard to find story bits where the Fenton's are good parents; it's less common in general. I grew up with the show and remember their personalities really well, and neither of them really seemed in any way inclined to intentionally or accidentally hurt their kids. In some fics, they assume instantly that Danny is not Danny and are gung-ho about killing him, not even considering the possibility that they're telling the truth—no doubts or fears, nothing, just straight death or dissection.
With Batman, it's really hard for me to come up with a real take on his depictions. There are so many takes and adaptations of him that I can never really give an actual consistent read-through like I can with the Fentons. He can be a good intention but a bad execution type of guy, cynical, or just plain out of character. Meanwhile, the Fentons are out of character 90% of the time in fics.
I decided to take a look-see over at what's going on with this DPxDC crossover stuff over on AO3 just to get a sense of the general vibe of the fandom over there. And just... Y'all be killing me with these Additional Tags.
Like, don't get me wrong, most of these I get. I can vibe with a Ghost King Danny AU. Everyone agrees that Phantom Planet was shite. But like... Bad Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton combined with Good Parent Bruce Wayne...? Why do you have to do Jack and Maddie dirty like that!??? Like, don't get me wrong, Jack and Maddie are far from being perfect parents. They can be forgetful or overenthusiastic about hunting ghosts, but they are genuinely trying to be good parents! They very clearly care about Danny and Jazz, try to be involved with their lives, care about their interests, and support them, while also giving them the space they need to grow and be independent as people. And most of all, they would never do anything to intentionally hurt their kids! As far as cartoon parents go, they're pretty alright! Why you gotta do them dirty like this!? And for what? So that Bruce can be a good parent in their place!?
Now I don't like it when the comic writers make Bruce a bad parent. I don't like how common it is for Bruce to be outright abusive with his kids. But as far as current comics canon stands, he is pretty damn horrific as a parent. What Bruce did to Jason in that recent Gotham War arc in Batman? Absolutely inexcusable. (FYI, he kidnapped Jason and exposed him to some chemical to make him constantly afraid any time his heart starts racing or he has an adrenaline rush. He did this to stop Jason from doing any more crimes. And it's FUCKED!) If I could have my way, I would want Bruce to be a flawed, but overall okay parent. Someone who is trying his damnedest to be a decent parent, but who will stumble and make mistakes now and then. Someone who is a good parent, all things considered, given his life circumstances, but can improve and isn't always great at it. But boy howdy is that not where Bruce is at in current canon! Because like... Where Jack and Maddie would NEVER even consider intentionally doing something that would hurt their kids... Bruce is the kind of character where he might if it gets him what he wants/needs...
Like, in general I'm on board with Good Parent Bruce Wayne, but why does it have to come at the cost of Jack and Maddie being okayish parents? Why not have both Bruce being a good parent and Jack and Maddie being okayish parents!??? Why not let Danny have 3 decent parents!???
I made this for a fellow player in a DnD campaign to be used in my bestiary from my book. it's not really a character in the story more of representation of the dark elves and possible professions.
I learned a while ago that the age of the pharaohs was largely dependent on what happened to the previous one. The past didn't have a teenager, only a child and an adult-like age system. If your parents are no longer able to feed you or themselves well, you just leveled up to an adult and now must work. This applies as well if the parents (father) died, then the heir, regardless of age, would become the pharaoh with the remaining parent or elders making the major decisions(sometimes not always, yes, it varies) and acting as an advisor. I believe the youngest was under ten or was Ten years old. If a member of the JL were to question it it would have to be a loudmouth, put a foot in my mouth, or speak before thinking type characters.
:) I’m backkkk you all thought you could get rid of me
Yes I’m bringing attention to this like why is nobody talking about this????
Now let’s get into the main plot so Danny, Sam and Tucker have to GO and fast ( GIW or bad Fenton au either or. !!!Bonus points!!! If Danny got hurt and than it would make this so much funnier y’all get what I mean in a sec) and they all go to the ghost zone where they meet up with clockwork and he tells them that one of Tuckers earlier reincarnation made a place so in the future he’s good even if he doesn’t remember it so clockwork brings them to what looks like an ancient Egyptian empire with the civilians and the people who live there as the people who died in the past {sorry if this is a bit hard to read I am very tired} and they are brought to the place where clockwork just casually reveals that Tucker is the pharaoh ie: The King and Sam, Tucker and Danny take this very well for them this is a safe place for them to heal and live with the added bonus of helping with Danny’s obsessions (Protection and Space) and after a bit they gain the affection of the people and the…Protection of the people??? Because for the people they see that one of their queen (Danny) was hurt before the royals came here so they get a bit protective and for a bit of information here’s the main jobs of the trio
Tucker taking care of the rules and doing the main running of the empire
Sam takes care of the army and gardens of the empire ( making sure they have enough food and such )
Danny takes care of the people (who grown the most fond of ) and such
So you can see what I’m going for with this now here’s where the JL comes in so the empire was NOT in the ghost zone it is in its own little world but somehow the JL gets tipped off about a triving empire that NOBODY has made contact with so a group ( Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the flash, green lantern you know the works) goes to make contact and hopefully make allies with them so they go and are taken aback a bit by how much this place is triving and what to meet the people who made this happen so what the JL was expecting was a lest a adult but instead they got what looked like a 16-17 with what looked like two people the same aged sitting next to him on either side (!!!EXRA BONUS POINTS!!! If one of the supers helped Danny before the meeting) and someone makes the dumb decision to ask them where are the REAL rulers and the guards in the room ( who I forgot to mention ) get mad at them and become hostile to them and Sam has to clam them down and that’s all for the plot at the moment
Now on to the details let’s start with tucker I’m thinking about this
( just instead of blue it’s red) and for a head piece I’m thinking the good old classic
It just fits
Now for Sam I’m thinking is for her outfit
But in darker colors because she’s SAM and for a head piece I’m thinking something like this
Nothing to big because she has to train the army and she’s outside a lot so if it’s anything to big I think it will just be annoying
For Danny this
Mixed with this
Because ye and for his hair piece I’m braining
This I think it looks neat
Now that’s all from me byeee
