So I finally got to making a small video for pearlessential. Like the game, it was overscoped and I spent a bit too much time producing it, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
It also let me polish up my video producing skills which is nice.
Punting everything over from twitter is a bit tedious. At least reposting everything slowly gives me time to make things I should've made while wasting time... I guess?
Oh yea I guess take a look at this super old UI, it looks different now... in the future. Well if I ever get to implementing it instead of tweaking it left and right
A dump of some things. I briefly mentioned how I had rewrote the game in Godot 4. During the transition I decided to give up on pure 2D and just make a 3D game that looks 2D... so in my own words, pearlessential is now a Psuedo2D game. Here are some captures from early in the transition.
I had to model this... with a blender! ridiculous.
Hello, I made a post on TIG just now. It summarizes some future progress that hasn't been posted here. Check it out if you feel like it.
Made this invisible trigger to move the camera around. All it does is tell my camera to focus on a new position and has settings to create a new focus point between the player and a defined position around the trigger. The transition could use some work tho haha.
A blog for a game about a rather peculiar exam. Made in Godot Engine!
