This a Master post of different Native American reservations and peoples needing assistance this winter due to weather emergencies, my links are from the Minnesota Public Radio News, especially a reporter and digital producer for the outlet, Sam Strooza.
The MPR News article about thousands being trapped on Pine Ridge Reservation and ways to help get people winter clothing and firewood. Condition right now are dire with reports of people trapped in their homes and needing to burn clothes for heat.
Friends of Pine Ridge is doing a drive of both quilt/blankets/comforters and also heaters, they have links to stores where you can buy blankets that will give them to the reservation and links where you can donate money to help people buy propane, fire wood or other immediate needs
Friend of Pine Ridge works very closely and supports First Families Now that works to support children, elders and families on the Pine Ridge Reservation and you can donate directly to them below
One Spirit Lakota does a lot of work supporting the citizens on Pine Ridge Reservation and supporting the Lakota people in both firewood supplies for the winter and supporting in the youth in the Allen community around the reservation and more.
Any donation right now will be used for emergency services and supplies such as firewood, and food and other things for supporting people in need.
Sićangu Co typically works to provide housing, food, education, health and addressing systematic issues regarding those concerns but given the twenty feet piles of snow and emergency situation their donations right now are shifted to meet current need of clearing the snow, filing and distribution of drinking water, and donations will also be used to feed their personnel including snow plow drivers, delivery drivers, other volunteers as well as those in need.

Hey, y'all. Turns out getting kicked out is pretty expensive! My spouse and I were both recently kicked out for being queer. They're disabled and struggling to find a job, and I'm working as much as I can but things are tight right now. At least, we need like 50 dollars to pay for some medicine for them. Anything extra will go towards food, gas, bills. Any amount helps, or just sharing the link around.

so, i've been noticing lately that english speakers that don't support neopronouns have been saying stuff like "neopronouns are for americans, no one else uses neopronouns in other languages! they're confusing to non-natives!" and it honestly upsets me SO MUCH, because that's simply not true! neopronouns exist all around the world, and i'm here to speak for hispanic neopronoun users as an argentine myself.
spanish has neopronouns, hispanics use neopronouns! it's not debatable!
spanish does not have an equivalent to they/them, "someone dropped their wallet, if i find them i'll give it back to them" would be "a alguien se le cayó su billetera, si lo encuentro se la devolveré" (someone dropped his wallet, if i find him i'll give it back to him).
so, since there's many non-binary people that felt like they needed a gender-neutral pronoun for themselves, elle/le was invented as opposed to Ă©l/lo.
as you may know, a neopronoun is a pronoun that is not official to a language (although some neopronouns may become official), and since elle/le is not official to spanish, it's a neopronoun to us.
and no, this isn't our only neopronoun.
we have others such as elli/li, ellu/lu, il/li, etc. that do not have a translation to english, kinda like how xe/xem, ze/zir, ae/aer, etc. do not have a translation to spanish.
and yes, these are actually used, and not only online: i've had many friends in my country that used these pronouns among nounself pronouns (a friend that used Ă©l/ella/elli/quack, another one that used elle/ella, etc.)
so, i've made an il/li/-i pronoun flag!
il/li are pronouns derived from italian, and they're one of the most common neopronouns around here!

A total of 216 people experiencing homelessness died in Toronto last year, according to new data from the city.
Figures released on Friday by Toronto Public Health (TPH) indicate that there was an average of 4.2 deaths per week of unhoused people last year.
The city says the number of deaths in 2021 rose significantly from 2020. Seventy-two more people died last year than in the previous year, when 144 unhoused people died. The number of deaths has more than doubled since 2017 — the first year that the city collected such statistics — when 101 people died.

for my fellow psychotics who struggle with thinking someone is in their house, a method I’ve found that really works are these guys:
i put them on my front door and anytime it opens they ring. that way if i think someone has broken in or i see someone who isn’t there i can think back to if the bells have rung, and if they haven’t i can assure myself it’s not real. obviously it’s not fool proof, like if you are prone to auditory hallucinations, but it has really helped me calm down in time to avoid major psychotic breaks. it’s a real lifesaver
