Enoch have you talkled to Benjamin??
Anon.
I... am quite pleased to say that he has visited me in my confinement. I was quite surprised to find that I missed him. He initially came to me for some advice on what to do about a particular predicament in his own personal matters, which I will not share.
I was shocked to find that Benjamin is an incredibly forgiving man. Despite the fact that I betrayed him, destroying his life of science, something that I could not forgive someone else for... he forgave me. Near immediately. He did not want to talk about science, which was an incredibly reasonable request.
But he did want to reminisce on the good times we had together. He shared news on his friends and various animals. He even showed me a few drawings he'd done. It was all quite... quaint. Fun, even.

To anyone,
WHY WEREN’T YOU AT ELF PRACTICE?
🎅
Ah, St. Nicholas!
Ah! My good fellow, I knew there was something I was forgetting. I am afraid it rather slipped my mind, as I had various cases going on in the foggy December evenings. I studied dentistry, astrology, heraldry, zoology... Elfistry somehow fell by the wayside.
My deepest apologies! I shall be better next time.
With love, Sherlock Holmes
To Klimt, Did you have any hobbies? Something relaxing to help take the edge off of your more strenuous duties? Signed, Ivy
Dear Ivy,
Appropriate to your name, in life I deeply enjoyed gardening. I took over Rosie's garden after she passed, and it was rather important to me. Our favorite thing to do together was dig in the dirt, finding worms and roots and rocks. Covered in earth and mud, with the smell of peat rising... that was what we got in trouble for most.
In my adult life, I enjoyed venturing to a neighbouring town, to watch how the people there grew plants, milled flour, raised livestock, and created things out of the items they grew. I wanted nothing more than to join them.
I am now working on sowing seeds to grow.
Best, Klimt van Zieks
Yujin,
Would you still be my partner if I was a Worm?
Respond with haste!
Sherlock
My dear Holmes,
You are most certainly the strangest man I have ever met in my life. I can think of none other who would even think up such a question, let alone ask it to me. This letter is utterly perplexing, and though you asked for a rapid response from me, I am not ashamed to admit that it took me a few days to ponder what sort of answer I could give.
I have never before loved a worm, or any such creature. Insects tend to make me feel uneasy, rather than the way I feel when I am with you. At best, they are a neutral stimuli for me, a thing that I do not notice as I pass by it on a rainy day.
That being said, worms are quite useful creatures. They are entirely necessary for the world around them, despite how some people may see them as annoying. They live a life that I can never quite comprehend but that I can very much appreciate. So, I suppose to answer your question, though I do not love any worms in particular, if you were a worm I would still be your partner. I do rather hope you remain a man, however, if it's not too much trouble.
With affection,
Your Mikotoba
Dear Heather,
I must encourage you to be careful engaging in this matter. I would not be surprised if your brother is in serious danger. I would keep any news about your brother to a minimum in case your letters are being monitored. While it is unlikely, it is always a possibility. I do not believe he would want to destroy evidence if he was still interested in it, and would not be surprised if there were some sort of third party involved here.

Hi Enoch! What can you tell us about your hand?
Ace-chaser,
You mean this old thing? I created it myself many, many years ago. It is a fully functional prosthetic, the first and only of its kind.
I created it piece by piece, I have to wind it frequently, and it must be oiled, which is a problem, as I am... currently away from my place of residence. It must be removed every night, and for that reason I tend to sleep with it under my body. I am afraid that someone will steal it from me, as it is something that seems very expensive.
I will not deny that it was expensive. It took years to create. But it is something that aids me in my movement. Without a second hand, it is much harder to tinker. It is my most prized possession. I could not be more proud of having created it.
Thank you for asking.
Enoch Drebber
yeahhhh Ben it might be a good decision to talk to Enoch or someone about it
Dear anon,
I fear you may be right. The moment I received this, I made up my mind to go and visit Enoch, not only to discuss his treatment of me, but also simply to... reconnect. Believe it or not, the two of us were friends, in the amount of time that we knew each other.
He and I never talked much about our personal lives, though, and discussing my feelings and life experiences with a man who hurt me so feels... odd. I know he had his reasons, but, even still... Perhaps when I share my thoughts with him, I can share how he made me feel, what he made me go through. It seems as though it could be cathartic.
Thank you! Benjamin Dobinbough
Hey, Hosonaga. Have you ever considered getting that cough checked out?
Dear Uniquartz,
What do you mean? I am perfectly, fine, it hardly bothers--
Ahem. Excuse me. I have not visited a doctor, though when Dr. Watson was dining with us, I did happen to cough while around him. He stated that it was something that would most certainly kill me. But, he is not a doctor for the living! He was a doctor for the dead.
Though, now that I think of it, perhaps he's seen some people who have died to my condition.... I really should go see someone about this...
Signed, Detective Satoru Hosonaga
Dear Henry,
I am afraid that I have experienced quite a similar situation in my past. While we did not know for certain whether or not my client was guilty, I (as well as my judicial assistant) suspected that he was openly lying on the stand, even going so far as to manipulate the evidence and bribe members of the court.
While I do not know the particulars of your situation, it sounds like an upsetting one indeed. I know that, if I lost my judicial assistant, I would be... well... lost. She is the cornerstone of my court experiences; without her, my skills as a lawyer would crumble.
If you need to talk to someone about those events, I have quite a bit of free time.
Respectfully, Naruhodou Ryuunosuke
