WB Pirates Mini Episode: Low Rations and No Land in Sight

- Quick read - bullet points - head canons to think about while you’re falling asleep -

The White Beard Pirates sail a full month without docking in order to avoid massive, ship crushing, currents that hugged the nearest land mass.

Unfortunately, when they finally reach their supply post, they find it’s been ransacked by the navy. There’s nothing there.

Being low on food is bad enough but being low on supplies and medicine is Marco’s worst nightmare.

Here’s some of the drama that goes down:

Eddie Nuggs

No one is better at maintaining calm and positive energy like Newgate. At no point is there even the slightest hint of worry on his face.

His first priority is to make sure there is as little in fighting/bickering as possible during this high stress time.

He stays out on deck more often than usual. This isn’t the time for the Captain to be holed away in his office.

Marco

Unlike Newgate, Marco is so incredibly stressed out. This is the most short fused and irritable anyone has seen him in a good long while.

He will defiantly apologize for being snappy with the other commanders after this whole ordeal has ended.

Bad attitude aside, the strict, military style schedule he put the crew into is the only reason they were able to ration supplies long enough to make it to the next island semi-comfortably.

The other commanders vogue for Marco when the crew complains about how much of a hard ass he’s been.

“Show some fucking respect, we would have run out of drinking water a week ago if it weren’t for him.” -Thatch probably.

Ace

Ace has five more days worth of narcolepsy meditation.

With this time, he takes his division scouting and they manage to ransack another pirate ship. The take is small, but anything helps.

He’s back on the Moby with half a day to spare and tells Marco, “Would you relax? I feel fantastic! I’ll be fine.”

It only takes 3-5 hours without his meds for Ace to drop his head in the middle of a meeting.

Newgate excuses him from his duties of Division leader until they can find land. Naturally, Ace would rather throw himself over board than take him up on this offer.

To his credit, he’s incredibly helpful while awake. Good attitude. The patience of a saint. Will not take it personally when Marco inevitably snaps at him.
