We live in the southern Gaza Strip, and my other half, my husband and support, lives in the northern Gaza Strip with his elderly parents.
Since the morning of 10/7/2023, our lives have turned into hell, and every day our lives get worse. We lived the most difficult days of our lives, and we were displaced and displaced 9-10 times. The occupation forced us to flee after destroying our home and destroying our private project, and we were left with neither a home nor a job. We left without knowing where we would go, without shelter, and to this day we do not know where we will go.

This led to malnutrition and they started to show symptoms of stomach problems, diarrhea, and the spread of skin rashes in their bodies due to the spread of viruses. There is also a lack of cleaning agents and insecticides. There is also a shortage of drinking water, and when it is provided, it is not safe to drink.
My children cry every day because they don't eat fruits, vegetables, eggs, chicken and meat and I can't stand their crying. There is also a shortage of gas that has forced us to use fire in all aspects of life such as cooking, baking and heating water for bathing. We use solid waste to light fires because of the high price of firewood and its unavailability.
My children suffered from a severe health problem. One of my children was infected with severe pneumonia and was placed in the intensive care unit for a long time. After that, my children suffered from hepatitis due to malnutrition, and I was unable to treat them due to the high prices.
A year of war has passed and winter has returned with rain, wind and severe cold. We do not have any winter clothes or blankets to keep my children warm, and I cannot buy them because of the high prices. The tent has become worn out from the sun and has begun to tear, and I cannot buy new tents to protect my children from the cold.

Severe complications for pregnant women & newborns
Higher risk of frequent illness and more severe illness in both children & adults, slow deaths complicated by dehydration (due to diarrhea) & muscle wasting
The combination of starvation, dehydration, & infection can be deadly to anyone, but the effects on children under 5 (especially newborns) is catastrophic.
None of these can be dealt with in Gaza right now: the healthcare system is on the edge of collapse. Lack of clean water, sanitation, and overcrowding is making the situation worse.
Samah is the doting mother to 3 children: two girls (aged 2 and 9), and a 6 month old baby boy, who was born in a field hospital in incredibly difficult circumstances. All he's known in his short life is scarcity & danger. Like his sisters, he's been fighting repeated respiratory infections and with winter here, Samah is terrified for them. The continued siege & destruction in Gaza has made basic essentials (i.e., baby formula & fresh food, clean water, diapers, warmer clothing) incredibly expensive. Samah & her family are totally reliant on donations just to survive, but they're still very low on funds. These basics are simple solutions to help the kids avoid getting sick, becoming severely malnourished, or having to deal with the complications of either.

A Plea to Save My Family from the Horrors of War
Hello, my name is Ghada, I am 32 years old,
and I once lived a life full of hope and ambition.
I studied Information Technology and earned my bachelorβs degree, working for a private company for some time. But when the war in Gaza erupted, the company stopped operating and was completely destroyed, leaving me without a job and no place to work π.
As the bombing intensified and the violence escalated, we were forced to flee our beautiful home, which was completely destroyed, to the city of Rafah in southern Gaza. We lived in a small tent barely a few meters wide, but even that was not enough. We were forced to flee again to central Gaza, where we now live in a school for displaced people, moving from one place to another without knowing when this tragic journey will end πποΈ.
My father, Nabil, who is 62 years old, used to own an aluminum workshop, but it was destroyed during the war. My mother, Fatima, 57 years old, faces daily struggles with the lack of electricity and the closure of bakeries. At their age, my parents suffer greatly from the constant displacement and the challenges of moving from place to place πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ.
My younger brother, Khaled, 23 years old, graduated with a bachelorβs degree in accounting and worked at a contracting company before the war took away his job and shattered his dreams. Despite this, Khaled now bears the responsibility of providing for our basic needs like food and water, trying to keep our family afloat under these harsh conditions ππ§.
I also have two married brothers, Mohamed and Ahed, who live with us in the same displacement location with their children (Lama, Nabil, and Amir) and (Fatima, Eman, and Noor). The children, having lost their toys and games, have found some joy playing with the pets πΎ, trying to find happiness in the darkest of times.
But the bitter reality is that we are living in an uninhabitable environment. Diseases and insects are widespread, and sewage water floods the area around us. The children, who should be focused on learning and playing, now suffer from malnutrition and disease. Recently, the spread of the polio virus among them has only added to their pain and suffering π¦ π.
Life here no longer meets basic human dignity. We live without clean water, without a home, without even the basics of survival. Our children have no education, no toys, no new clothes, not even shoes to protect their feet. Skin diseases, malnutrition, and polluted water and food are our daily reality. We are living in inhumane conditions in every sense of the word, and we beg you not to forget us π.
All we hope for now is to find safety, to not die before we can escape or move to a safer place. But even that simple right seems impossible. We need your help to raise the money needed to cross the Rafah border between Gaza and Egypt, where the coordination cost for one person ranges between $5,000 and $7,000.
We are trying to hold on to hope π, trying our best to find safety for ourselves and our children. With your support, we might just achieve that. Every share of this story, every donation, every bit of help can make a huge difference.

Well, if you care about disabled rights, you should be caring about the rights of the disabled people in Ghazzah right now. Muhammad, only 4 years old, is one of those people.
Muhammad is the son of Noor, and he is one of 2 siblings. He was born with a condition that causes his muscles to be very weak and makes it difficult for him to move.
In order to to treat his condition, Muhammad received regular physical therapy sessions, which really improved his quality of life and health.
However, when the siege on Ghazzah began, Muhammad was no longer able to receive the medical treatment that he desperately needs. He is now displaced with his family, living in unbearable conditions without basic resources, and his health has been rapidly deteriorating
This treatment is essential to Muhammads survival, and without it his life is in grave danger.
In order to help Muhammad continue his treatment and evacuate Ghazzah, Noor is trying to raise Β£80,000. So far, she's only raised Β£4,367, and her last donation was 4 hours ago.

Hello, my name is Hani Hamid and I am from Gaza. I am writing to you with a heavy heart. I now live in the northern part of Gaza. I was shot in the knee and it caused a catastrophic condition for my leg. I am unable to walk at all. I need urgent and urgent treatment. I have three children, Abdullah, 12 years old, Salma, 10 years old, and Saleh, 7 years old, and my wife Nour, 33 years old. Unfortunately, our house was bombed and destroyed during the initial events, which caused severe psychological and physical damage to me and my family due to the catastrophic situation we are currently living in. Are you just tired of these kinds of posts coming from G@za strip that ask you not to skip and to read the whole post, interact with it, and help in sharing/ reblogging it? Well, maybe you are right, but guess what? We are also tired of living in this reality for a whole 11 months.π
And you know what? You have no idea how mentally and emotionally trying this is. Asking for help isn't easy at all, but when I think that the price will be staying alive, getting our basic needs and rebuilding our lives, it pushes me more and more to do this until we reach our goal.
This is Ola, the older sister who is trying to help her family. For 11 months until now, we have been struggling to get proper food after prices increased by 15 to 20 times, struggling to have clean water for use and drinking and now we're out of them all. Mutual aid for Palestinian artists in Gaza!
This video is a poem written by Palestinian poet @mariampoetry and sung by the amazing Gazan singer Reem from Gaza. The video is taken by Mahmoud Shamia of the destruction from the past year throughout Gaza.
My friend Mariam is fundraising again for many different Gazan artists and their families, including Reem's, and wanted to ask for your help in gathering $8,000 to help support them this coming winter.
After a year of daily massacres, so many Palestinians in Gaza are feeling hopeless and let down by humanity. But Mariam decided to do something and I hope you can help with her mission!
So many of her friends have left their homes in a hurry leaving everything they own behind. They're lacking basic necessities with most people becoming displaced more than ten different times. if the condition of the children of gaza doesn't move you, i don't know what will. there is no school this year. there was no school last year either. no clean water or healthy food. no medicines for when they hurt themselves. no toys to play with. no way for them to come out of this genocide unscathed. it's with a heavy heart that i've realized that childhood in gaza is an empty promise.
my friend alaa [ @alaakh998 ] lives in gaza. she has two little kids aged 4 and 6. i cannot help but think about them. how are they doing? what lies in their future? are they okay? I've come to the realization that they wont be safe unless they're able to evacuate from gaza.
the rafah crossing is closed as of now. alaa is fundraising in hopes that she can collect enough money to address her immediate needs and eventually evacuate when the crossing opens. she needs to buy a tent and medicine and supplies and food.

I know I donβt owe any of you anything but I still felt compelled to write about my long term absence. And I feel far enough away from the dangerous spot I was in to be able to make this comic. I have a therapist now, and she agreed that making this could be a very cathartic gesture, and the start of properly leaving these thoughts behind me. I am still, at seemingly random times, blindsided by fleeting desires to kill myself. Theyβre always passing urges, but itβs disarming, and uncomfortable. I worry sometimes that my brainβs spent so long thinking only about suicide that itβs forgotten how to think about anything else. Like, now that I've opened that door for myself, I'll never be able to fully shut it again. But Iβm trying my best to encourage my mind in other directions. We'll see how that goes.
I am still donating all proceeds from my store to Palestinian causes. So far, I've donated over $15K, not including donations coming from my own pocket or the fundraising streams which jointly raised around $10K. In the time since I made my initial post about where this money would be going, the focus has shifted from aid organisations to directly donating to escape funds.
If you'd like to do the same, you can look at Operation Olive Branch, which hosts hundreds of Palestinian escape funds or donate to Safebow, which has helped facilitate the safe crossing and securing of important medical procedures for over 150 at-risk palestinians since the beginning of the genocide.
