This idea will live rent free in my head.

I just want to see them happily retiring together, with him as a Battlestar Commander turned househusband, and her as the Secretary of Education, a working wife. Then, years later, a party asks her to run for presidency, and she gets elected, and they become the unstoppable power couple they are.

(Also not me, trying to write a fanfic where they first meet at the Galactica decommissioning ceremony and then fall in love. Adar regrets losing her, especially to an aging soldier he deems unworthy and socially inferior.

He even insults them, saying she's playing a matador, messing around with a Tauron bull, and trying to SA her. But she punches him in the face (because Bill taught her boxing skill), and it's all caught on camera. Suddenly, she's the talk of the town, praised for defending herself against assault and becomes the new face of #metoo.

And Tauron people all become fans of her because she chose to defend her Tauron partner and chose him over the frakking President of the Twelve Colonies himself. And baby Kyliegh Curran as Lenore Usher, may or may not be their granddaughter from Lee and Dee, who's so close to and loved by her grandparents <3

But since English isn't my first language and I'm so busy with work and adulthood, I don't even know if I could find time to continue drafting this shite. I just love Roslin x Adama in AUs without the attack soooo sooo bad.)

Bill Adama: “You ever think about the times much on New Caprica?”

Laura Roslin: “I try to think about the good times, yes, I do.”

Bill Adama: “One in particular stands out in my mind.You were wearing your really bright red dress. Said you wanted to build a cabin.”

Laura Roslin: “It was Baltar’s ground breaking ceremony. I got a little silly that night.”

Bill Adama: “You ever wonder what would’ve happened if the Cylons hadn’t have come back?”

Laura Roslin: “I think given Baltar and the terrain we couldn’t have made a go of it. What about you? Do you think you would’ve stayed on Galactica, or do you think you would’ve settled?”

Bill Adama: “It’s pretty hypothetical, isn’t it?”

Laura Roslin: “It is. Until it isn’t.“ *laughs* “Did I just say that?”

Bill Adama: “It’s worth just seeing you laugh like that. We’ve been at war so long sometimes we forget what we’re fighting for: Raise our kids in peace. Enjoy one another’s company. Live life as people again.”

Laura Roslin: “Like that night on New Caprica. That’s really what we are talking about here now, isn’t it?”

Bill Adama: “That and other times.”

Laura Roslin: “So if the Cylons hadn’t come back…?”

Bill Adama: “But they did.” *pause* “We have certain responsibilities.”

Laura Roslin: “Yes, we do, Sir. And… I will be back in a few days, and if you’d like, we can talk more about that night. Bill? The answer’s yes. I absolutely would’ve built the cabin.”

I do believe he's lost.

[2x10] Adama and Roslin talk

This conversation follows after they talked in the corridor about admiral Cain not sending supplies to the Fleet, only Galactica, and not answering Roslin’s calls. Adama assured her he’ll mention this to the admiral. After that Roslin took off her glasses, signaling that talk about business is over and they gaze at each other. I included the times when they pause a little to just look lovingly at each other, because it’s so frakkin adorable XD

So after that Roslin inquires about how he’s dealing with the situation. His command was effectively taken away and that’s a hit. Adama’s all smiles and reassurances, but that last look after she turns her back is very telling. He’s only pretending that all is fine. He doesn’t want to worry his bae Roslin without any real reason, but Cain is already raising his suspicions. Out there, in this fleet of survivors of the Cylon attack, military protocol matters less than loyalty that was honestly earned. Cain has his obedience thanks to her rank, but she doesn’t have his trust.

Ok, now let’s go back to appreciating the soft and tender looks :)

I haven't kept up with the series as a whole, but I saw Mary McDonnell's season and a few at the beginning. Really enjoyed it all.

But boy howdy, I keep picturing her as Lorraine Lyon and she would have killed it.

No disrespect to JJL. I just would have found Mary's a tough ass bitch more enjoyable to watch.

This scene is beautiful for its subtly. 

In the last episode, these two had said some angry words: “You’re so afraid to live alone!  / “And you’re afraid to die that way!”

We needed to see them make-up, right?

Of course Laura will not die alone. Bill will be there, reading to her at her bedside, during every treatment. 

As always. 

The acting here is brilliant. GIFs cannot show this. There’s no dialogue beyond what Bill is reading in the book. But you can see Laura is grateful he’s there. He was right. She is scared to die.

And Bill is sorry. He’s telling her - through the book’s words - how much he loves her. 

She will never be alone. 

Because of him. 

She understands and smiles.

Do you ever binge read someone's work on ao3 and get the urge to serenade them, like, hello my fair fic author you have wooed me with your excessive flowery metaphors and complete lack of plot, even your messy 3am fics with very visible flaws are gorgeous, your self indulgent dynamics have enchanted me, please accept my kudos

If I had a bat signal for fic writers, I'd put one up for this scene. It feels decidedly truncated to me. Now, I do know that there is an extended version on the released DVDs, but it is rather unsatisfying.

Somebody! Please! Fix this for me? Thanks. 😘 Unless maybe I'm crazy. Does this scene bother anybody else?

Ahem. Useful, as I am here mainly to follow fic writers. 🥰

Bot accounts and Real people with accounts.

I’m pretty sure the tumblr community is well aware of this problem and probably loads of other people have already made posts about this, so I’ll keep it brief.

So recently blogs like this keep appearing in my followers list (these are recent ones)

Now when you get a spam blogs or p*rn bots you’re supposed to block them. But some these blogs are actual people who are new on tumblr and have the default icon, so you’re supposed to check before you block them. But here’s the problem…

some of these blogs don’t have anything. No posts, No description, No title. So you’re gonna automatically assume that these are spam and block them.

Now I hate fact that some of these blogs belong to actual people and I’ve been blocking and reporting on blogs like these for the past few days, and that they’re probably wondering why there being blocked or reported. ( sorry to the people who own blogs like these that I blocked you)

So a couple of tips for new blogs on this site,

1.You could change the title (a catchphrase, a favorite quote, a random sentence etc.) or type small description, or whatever random stuff you like!

2. You could change the your avator or icon (it be a picture of you, a cartoon, again it’s your choice do whatever)

3.If you’re not planning to frequently post stuff and just sign in to check out other people’s stuff, just put a put a post something like this just to show you’re new here.(again u can write down anything)
