so since maggie said that no one remembers noah and this is backed up by no mention of him after his sacrifice, do you ever think about all the blank spots in the gangsey’s memory?
blue’s pretty sure she’s kissed someone other than gansey. she remembers the feeling of kissing someone and them not dropping dead. but she has no idea who it would’ve been. maybe it was adam, but that doesn’t seem right at all. she never wanted to kiss him.
gansey doesn’t know why there’s an empty bedroom at monmouth. it served as a guest room before and could do so again, but what’s the long-standing point of an empty bedroom? he wonders why he never tried to convince adam to stay there (with rent, of course). or maybe they could’ve separated the bathroom and the kitchen. or gansey could’ve pretended that he slept in his own room, though no one would’ve believed that. anything other than letting an empty bedroom collect dust.
truthfully, noah was so engrained in the hunt for glendower that i don’t see how any of them could ever fully remember it without remembering him. maybe one day they’ll all return to henrietta and find a living reminder of noah czerny. they’ll never understand why the name causes them so much grief. the feelings will never leave, but they’ll never remember him again
sarchengsey road trip is permeating my brain at all times. btw.
I don't know what I miss more, having free time to draw or these fellas
The raven cycle!!!!
Oh I love these guys. Everything about these books, I want to draw them soooo much more (I probably will)!!
Guys I'm back-
It has been a nightmare lately this is the only thing I managed to draw in weeks? Finals and uni stuff that's taking all of my time and energy, slowly turning me into a cafeinated slug (worst part is caffeine doesn't even have an effect on me? I only drink coffee for the TASTE can you imagine). Anyway the rush won't be over until end of January but hopefully I'll be able to ignore the stress and draw anyway :)
To be loved is to be changed ❤️🩹

sorry for the delay in responding to your message. I was walking around the house with unclear intentions
so like. we all know that the reason gansey was so intense about ronan graduating and adam moving out of his dad's house was because he knew he was going to die that year and wanted to make sure his friends were set without him right
random headcannons i have for the raven cycle:
gansey was long-distance dating a girl in washington when he moved to henrietta and after a couple months he just forgets that they were dating, it’s not until ronan answers his phone that they break up
blue has a pin that says “fuck the bees” that really confuses her environmentalist group in university
adam becomes fox way’s handyman and cannot come over without replacing at least one lightbulb
blue calls adam and gansey “nick and gatsby”
the fox way cats hate gansey. like he cannot leave fox way without a million scratches
adam and ronan are exactly the same height. like unnervingly so - so they truly look like horror movie twins and are on equal ground
even when ronan moves to the barn he still comes by and checks in on gansey at monmouth randomly
part 2
It’s cold as hell where I live so I made the raven kids suffer with me
percy isnt stupid or unobservant he just assumes the best of people until proven otherwise
what i like about the raven cycle is that the romance feels casual. most ya books (and many books in general) always have this profuse, gigantic focus and romance, which often weakens the plot and other elements of the story like character development or worldbuilding. but in trc, it fits right into the story as maggie stiefvater doesn't force it into the story, but lets it interact with the different aspects of the book and only distributes it healthy bits.
like, the characters have a life outside of their romance arc—they have their own motives, make their choices, pursue leisure activities and bond with other characters in a platonic way.
i personally really love that about the book because it shows how you can have romance subplots (plural!) without making the readers feel that there is nothing else in the book. we have the search for glendower, the pov characters' inner conflicts, the vanishing of maura, the appearance of the villains, family problems and mundane problems like school exercises and slightly eerie, old people that stay over at your house because they want to help you find a living corpse.
it's just that the book doesn't focus on one particular aspect (especially not the romance one, which is what the blurb unfortunately indicates) and i live for it.
I’ve not been well over the holidays so decided to mock up how i’d illustrate PJO instead lol - all in lorem ipsum so I don’t get in trouble with the big mouse!
