Demigods meet Shadowhunters

Ok, so let’s get this started with headcannons that are close to my heart: Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunters meeting Rick Riordan’s Demigods! • So I think this would start of as most things in Camp Half-Blood does, with a prophecy • I’d imagine it would go something like this : “three half-bloods, Born of angels and gods, Will fight against the greatest odds To fight the monsters of the deep, For these worlds should never meet In either peace or grief this will end To make both foes And friends” • Meanwhile this whole mess got started because Zeus knocked up the wrong girl, a Shadowhunter girl. • It’s not Clary, it’s Emma. • So now on top of all the paritbati stuff, she has to deal with that she is definitely not carrying a normal Shadowhunter baby, because, while she doesn’t know that the father is Zeus, she does know that the dude was not a Shadowhunter or a mundane. • So she does the next best thing she can think of: she runs away. • In her mind she thinks it’s for the best: the best for both Julian and for her child. • A few months later, Clary and Jace are on a date at Coney Island, when they go to the beach, they meet this man selling shaved ice, so they go ahead and grab some. But Clary could sense that something wasn’t right. • And she was right. Since Zeus started the ball rolling, his brothers had to follow his lead, the dude with the shaved ice was Poseidon. And he put some magic potion in Clary syrup so that she could carry his child without Poseidon ever having to “do it” with her ( first off, the gods have come up with very unconventional ways of having their demigod children over the years. Two, Poseidon knew that there was no way to get to Clary with Jace, because she’s to loyal for that. And three, about why Clary specifically and not someone single, he had sort of a crush on Clary and because of her status as a hero, if the child came from her, then the Clave might be less likely to exile it.) • Hades now has to sire a child with a Shadowhunter but goes a slightly less than ideal route with this one, he goes what I like to call the Heracles route, because Zeus went this route to site Heracles in the myth, Hades disguises himself as a lady’s husband, knocks her up, leaves, at which point her actual husband returns and does the same thing. • It’s Tessa if your wondering. Hey, at least Persephone isn’t gonna be out to get the kid and the parents for something they had no control over *cough* Hera*cough*. This is gonna be part one for this and I’ll upload part two later, but for now this is it. What do you guys think?

These are only a few recent examples, feel free to add to it! Pretty much any scene where recognizable, real world flowers are drawn in detail, they’re typically chosen to convey a meaning.

Satoshi (Ash) returns home at the end of XY, after Serena conveys her feelings, to these blooming outside his home…

Anemone: anticipation, forsaken Espurr waited patiently for the old woman it played with, anticipating her return, too young to understand why she could not return…

Marguerite: secret love, faith

After developing feelings for a doctor who saved her, Musashi (Jessie) was prepared to leave her old life behind for a chance to attain her dream of a stable, married life… upon realizing he loved another and choosing to rescue her friends, she took her leave with unspoken feelings.

Anisodontea: until today, today is the final day. [identified by may3104!]

After a series of misunderstandings, Satoshi accidentally knocks down the flowers Iris wears, and crushes them–with the journey over, the friends only have a little bit longer to travel together and this incident causes them to part ways a little sooner than intended. These flowers also play a role in the resolution.

Pokémon ships that I ship

Amourshipping (Ash & Serena) don’t come biting my @$$ for this, but I think that Serena and Ash have a better chance at a relationship than Ash & Misty. Speaking of which... Orangeshipping (Misty & Tracy) I feel like Misty and Tracy have had some really cute moments together while Ash was off traveling else where and that Tracy is not one to be intimidated by Misty’s fire (despite being a water type user). Luckshipping (Brock & Lucy) this ones a bit more obvious, since Lucy is one of the few girls who ended up returning Brock’s affections. She loved his eyes😍 Contestshipping (May & Drew) May and Drew had way more chemistry than May and Ash, just getting that out of the way. Appealshipping (Dawn & Zoey) continuing our coordinator ships, I had a hard time finding the perfect guy for Dawn, and then I remembered that slash ships were a big thing, and I thought about it and realized that these two have really good chemistry with each other and are perfect foils for each other too, bringing out the best in each other.🎀 Wishfulshipping (Cilan & Iris) I just cannot see these two characters with anyone else but each other! I know that might be a slightly were reason to ship two people, but that’s my reasoning for this one. Diodeshipping (Clemont & Ash) I know this might seem contradicting since I ship Amour already, but not only am I a sucker for slash ships, I just cannot see Clemont with anyone other the guy who always thought science was the coolest. Kaiwe x Lana x Mallow - I honestly ship these three on a ployamory relationship since I can’t really imagine them parting.

Ever After High Pokemon Teams - Hunter Huntsman

Part 4 is here!! Time for the huntsman who could never harm a fly -

Hunter Huntsman

Growing up, Hunter’s father really wanted him to follow in his footsteps and become a Pokemon Trainer like he did. However, Hunter’s heart lay on a different path: Pokemon Breeding! Hunter is a natural caretaker and dotes on injured and Baby Pokemon.

Trainer Class: Pokemon Breeder

Hunter's team is mainly comprised of Pokemon he has either taken in after finding them hurt or Pokemon he raised from Eggs.

Cheeky the Greedent

Moves:

Cheeky was Hunter’s first Pokemon, found in the woods and injured. Hunter secretly took him home and nursed him back to health. He tried to release him back into the wild, but he just kept coming back over and over again until Hunter finally agreed to catch him. Cheeky often caused trouble for Hunter due to his habit of hoarding berries. However, after Hunter became a Breeder and started raising Baby Pokemon, Cheeky quickly became a fun-big brother like figure to the Baby Pokemon. He would often sneak them their favorite berries after dinner time and would play with them after dark - much to Hunter’s frustration. 

Cheeky is, obviously, in reference to Pesky, Hunter’s pet squirrel. Skwovet and Greedent were the obvious choice to represent Pesky. I also think Greedent’s berry filled tail would be very helpful when feeding Pokemon.

Indy the Indeedee

Indy was the second Pokemon Hunter caught. He met her when he was sneaking out of his house to release Pokemon that were caught in his father’s traps. Indy helped him and even helped him get Cheeky under control. Hunter caught her after a quick battle. Indy greatly helps Hunter with watching any Pokemon he is looking after, both Baby and adult Pokemon. Indy has a very calming aura about her and has quelled many arguments. Indy is also close with another Indeedee who's trainer is also fond of Hunter…

When I read that Female Indeedee are great babysitters, I knew this had to be on Hunter’s team as he would be taking care of a lot of Baby Pokemon. I also chose this Pokemon to parallel Ashlynn's Indeedee, Gladiolus, as well as helping the two forge a connection.

Grampy the Drampa

Moves:

Hunter met Grampy when he was trying to find his younger sister Fern who had wandered into the forest. Grampy found Fern first and took care of her until Hunter found her. Grampy ended up liking Hunter and he would come around Hunter’s house just to help out with Fern and Baby Pokemon and Hunter ended up catching Grampy because he was around so much anyway! During his journey, Grampy would help by watching over young Baby Pokemon and Eggs. He is a gentle, old soul who loves making youngsters laugh.

Drampa is a perfect Pokemon for Hunter! Dragon types are typically tough, strong Pokemon that are feared by all. And while Drampa is certainly a strong Pokemon, it is also known for its caring nature and love of small children. This description reminded so much of Hunter and I knew Drampa had to be on Hunter’s team!

Marley the Magmar

Marley is the first Pokemon Hunter hatched from an Egg. Right from the beginning, Marley was attached to Hunter’s leg and followed him around like he was his parent! Marley has a love for both small Pokemon and battling and is always ready to protect his weaker buddies. He alway helps with Egg hatching as his Flame Body ability is perfect for helping Eggs hatch! He also helps introduce Baby Pokemon to berries by warming them up to make them softer and easier to eat.

I knew I wanted Hunter to have a Pokemon that had an ability to help hatch Eggs (so Flame Body, Magma Armor or Steam Engine). After looking through the options, I decided that Magmar fit Hunter’s team the best. Not only did Magmar have the Flame Body ability, but it also evolved from Magby, a Baby Pokemon, which felt very on brand of a Breeder. I also chose not to have Magmar evolve, because while Hunter would train his pokemon, he does not battle for profession or sport, so he would not be hard pressed to evolve any of his Pokemon - especially if there was a risk he would not get it back, like in a trade.

Ripley the Lucario

Ripley was an active Pokemon, even when he was newly hatched! He looks up to Hunter and wants to make him proud. Thanks to how close he is to Hunter, he evolved into a Lucario rather quickly and he often used his new Aura Abilities to read how a Pokemon is thinking or when an Egg might hatch. He is the strongest battler out of Hunter’s team.

Riolu is one of the most popular Baby Pokemon and it and Lucario would for sure be Pokemon that Hunter would want on his team. Not only is this line really good in battle, but I also think that it would fit Hunter so well to have a Pokemon that evolves via friendship.

Woody the Sudowoodo

Like Marley and Ripley, Woody was hatched by Hunter from an Egg. Woody looked up to Ripley as a strong battler and would always train with him. As a Bonsly, Woody was shy and scared who knew how to use his tears to get Hunter’s attention. After evolving, Woody developed a love of pranking and making other Pokemon laugh.

Like the prior two, Bonsly is a Baby Pokemon. I chose the Bonsly line from Hunter’s final member because it often pretends to be a tree to deceive others and Hunter used to have to pretend to be okay with his destiny, plus I thought the fact that he looks like a tree to be a great bit of irony.

And there is Hunter's team! I hope you liked it! Next team will be out soon! I am planning on releasing another soon, so feel free to comment any suggestions!

What makes this even more hilarious is that in the Shannon Hale book "The Unfairest of the All" we learn that part of the reason Badwolf and Red Riding Hood fell in love and got married is because they just kept making each other laugh - even when they were trying to do their story! Red even mentions that every time they went on a date, they had to go somewhere far away because they would laugh so loud with each other!

So, Mr. Badwolf is probably literally turning blue trying to surpress his laugh when her hears Cerise tell her classmates these things!

Yuri On Ice!! AU

figure skating up-and-comer Cody, discouraged after an untimely accident in training spooked him right before the Grand Prix, returns to his home town of Kamino after graduating from college to consider his next steps surrounded by family

his younger brother, former-high-school-hockey-player-now-local-ice-rink-owner Rex, has never fully understand his dreams of growing up to be on the same level as figure-skating wunderkind Obi-Wan Kenobi, but has always done his best to support Cody's choices

Cody decides to thank Rex by putting on a performance for him, imitating a recent short program from his idol (rumored to be one of his last, given his suggestion that he's courting burnout and considering retirement from competitive skating in a few recent interviews), which their little sister Omega sneakily records and posts to the rinks youtube channel

Cody is Mortified at the prospect of others seeing his work after his disgraceful last public performance, but the video is immediately a huge hit

it's so popular that even Obi-Wan Kenobi himself sees it, and immediately decides to drop everything and fly out to Kamino to coach Cody himself, veritably throwing himself at the younger skater at every opportunity

Cody is, of course, flustered by the sudden attention from his long-time crush and professional role model, but is determined to prove his worth as a student...

...only for Obi-Wan's former junior rink mate Anakin to show up and start making demands of Obi-Wan's time and attention

and that fires up Cody's competitive side: he's ready to throw his all into his skating with Obi-Wan at his side!

Cody starts mentoring Anakin too on the side, fully committed to a partnership in this endeavor! if Anakin wants Obi-Wan's attention, he's getting Cody's too!

Anakin goes back to Coruscant pretty quickly after that

There was a phrase that I used in my classroom when my students would ask me about doing questionable things, and my response was always, "Technically you can, but should you?"

The reason I used this instead of a simple yes or no answer is because it opened up conversation. Instead of blindly looking for permission, the conversation became more about cause and effect. Usually it navigated the "well you can't tell me what to do I'm going to do it anyway" instinct in kids when I'd say no, because all they were looking for is something to challenge them.

For example: "Can I jump off the slide?"

"Technically you can, but should you?"

If they answer no, I'd ask why. Usually they'd say because it's against the rules or I don't know.

If they say it's against the rules, I'd ask them why they think it's a rule. And if they'd say I don't know, I'd explain that the slide is five feet off of the ground, and jumping that high is a good way to hurt your knees or worse.

And then the most important part: if you did do it, how can you make it safer?

That's when the creativity juices started to flow. I'd get anything from pillows to beds to bouncy shoes to wings to someone catching them (which became a whole different conversation). And I told them since we didn't have those things here, it wasn't safe. And safety is everyone's number one job at school.

It stopped them from doing it behind my back. It got them to engage in critical thinking. And it helped them figure out how to do things without help.

However, there's always been an itching thought in the back of my head. Somewhere out there, did one of my past students drag their mattress out to the slide and jump off of it?

Ever After High Pokemon Teams - Apple White

This will be a series on my headcanons for what Ever After High characters would be like if they were in the Pokemon World. This will include what their trainer class is, why, their teams and their Pokemon's movesets, why and their motivations. Without further ado, lets get started!

Apple White

Daughter of the Ever After Region’s Champion, Snow White, Apple is determined to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become the Region’s next Champion. 

Apple hoped that the daughter of her mother’s rival, Raven Queen, would become a Trainer too so they could compete with each other like their mother’s did. However, this did not come to pass as Raven chose to become a Coordinator instead. 

Apple does not understand why Raven became a Coordinator, mostly because Raven never seems to catch “beautiful” Pokemon. She often tries to dissuade Raven from the Pokemon Contests because she doesn't think she has the right team for it and she does not want Raven to be hurt - but Raven never listens to her!

Trainer Class: Pokemon Trainer

Apple's team is made up of Pokemon that look good while also being well balanced and honor her story.

Candy the Hyrapple

Apple's first Pokemon and main partner, Apple did so much research to figure out which of Candy's branch evolutions would be best for her and her team and by Grimm did she make it happen!

I was always gonna put an Applin and one of it's evolutions on Apple's team - it was so obvious - and I thought Hyrapple suited her and her team the best.

Crispin the Ninetales

Moves:

Flamethrower

Extrasensory

Will-O-Wisp

Energy Ball

Apple's secondary main Pokemon, Apple caught Crispin as a Vulpix and Apple strategically planned when to evolve her!

Ninetales was also an easy Pokemon to place on Apple's team to represent Apple's pet Arctic Fox, Gala, from the books. I didn't give her an Alolan Ninetales because I felt like the OG Ninetales suited her better. Both in color scheme and for her team.

Pacific Rose the Milotic

Moves:

Surf

Ice Beam

Dragon Pulse

Draining Kiss

Apple was never gonna pass on the opportunity to own a Milotic! On top of them being know as the most beautiful Pokemon, it is also a strong Pokemon with a great moveset!

Milotic was another obvious choice for Apple, with her being the future "Fairest of the All", it wasn't even a choice! Apple had to have a Milotic!

Jazz the Lopunny

Moves:

Headbutt

Bounce

Flatter

High Jump Kick

Caught as a Buneary, Jazz evolved rather quickly due to Apple's ability to befriend almost anyone! Lopunny is quick on their feet and their moves and will almost always strike first!

Apple has been frequently shown to love bunnies, both in the show and the books, so Lopunny was another obvious choice.

Melrose the Clefable

Moves:

Dew Life

Metronome

Thunderbolt

Apple found Melrose as a shy and scared Clefairy that quickly bonded with the Pokemon who soon joined her team. She has often saved the team when using Metronome, which Apple is grateful for despite not liking the unpredictability of the move.

I really wanted Apple to have a Fairy Type Pokemon because I thought the Type would fit. I landed on Clefairy and Clefable because the have "fairy" and "fable" in the names.

Honeycrisp the Pawmot

Moves:

Thunder Punch

Brick Break

Dig

Slam

Apple's final team member! A cute little mouse-like Pokemon like Pawmi was an easy sell for Apple! This was also a good Pokemon to help Apple round out her team!

I really thought that an Electric Type Pokemon for Apple's team and, after looking through the options, Pawmot fit Apple the best.

Aaannd that is Apple's Pokemon Team! Raven will be the next one! Hope you liked it!
