This poll is specifically asking about how parents named their children, so even if you have a different chosen name now, answer for your given/birth name. If you're not comfortable doing so but want to see results, just choose the "not sure" option.
Answer based on the intention when the name was chosen for you, not the actual origin - so for example if your grandmother was named Mary after the biblical figure and you were named Mary in honour of your gran, you'd answer "a relative" instead of "a religious figure".
We ask your questions so you donāt have to! Submit your questions to have them posted anonymously as polls.
There's alot of us here and it's abt time our voices are heared too because the community on tumblr is.. Nightmarish for trans ex-Muslims rn
I'm a tea person, I guess?
Pools, because why not.
Comedy movies because I'm a scaredy cat sksksk
Rain, because I live in a place where there's no snow
Are you a coffee or tea person? Sea or pool person? Comedy or horror movie person? rain or snow person?
(Author's note: there's a slight mention of period typical homophobia on the 8th paragraph)
Today, me and Tori are going on a museum date. We both wore our favourite outfits. We arrived at 11 am.
"Hey, what if we check that new section over there, Al?" Tori pointed to an exhibit with a sign that says "Violet Wreaths and Green Carnations".
"Sounds good." She held my hand and led me. Turns out, the new exhibit is about same-sex relationships in history.
There were lots of photographs, paintings, written records, you know, things you'll see at most museum exhibits.
"Allie, there's the original draft of that play you were talking about that day !"
"Really? Let's see it, then!"
We looked at the said script, carefully displayed inside a glass box. There's a sign beneath it.
«This is the original script of the play "The Knight And The Elven Bard" by Claus Chasterell. The Rosenhart Theatre refused to perform this version of the script because of its "depiction of unacceptable behavior"(this play depicted romance between two men), saying that it would ruin the public's impression of both Chasterell and the theatre itself. Chasterell then revised it, changing the terms of endearment Alois (the knight) and Albion (the bard) used to refer each other with to platonic terms such as friend, dear companion, etc. He also changed the kiss scene in the epilogue to a warm embrace. But even with the changes, the playwright's true intentions are still recognizable.»
Then, right beside the script was a letter. The sign beneath it said:
«This letter was found by Claudia Izabel Carper on her sixth great-granduncle's house, on the main bedchamber, to be exact. The identity of the sender is unknown, as he (the sender stated he was a man, although not explicitly) used an alias, Victor. But, the handwriting seemed quite similar to the handwriting of the famous poet Claus Chasterell. The recipient is only addressed as "My Beloved", but because of the location this letter was found on, it's safe to say that the recipient was Ms.Carper's sixth great-granduncle.»
"Wait, so your sixth great-grandfather...," Tori whispered. "He liked men too?" We both said in union.
After a long silence, I shrugged. "Well, maybe he does, but, I think it's better to do more research after this date is over, don't you think so, babe?"
Tori nods. "Yeah, I guess so, sweetie."
(A/N: I'll try to finish the second part as soon as possible)
It's kinda baffling how some people still think that the Pompeii eruption happened because of gay people lmaooo
Sorry for being inactive, anyway here's some lovers from the regency era :>
(their clothes are probably not very historically accurate, but eh)

I wish somebody would talk to me first, or ask me about what happened instead of me being the one asking if I could talk about something, but the fact that I'm even writing this just reveals how much of a pathetic loser I am so I guess I'm better off dead
The piece he dedicated to Germi is guitar quartet no. 14, right? I found some recording of that piece! (The movements are separated though)
Movement I:
Movement II:
Movement III:
Movement IV:
Can we talk about THE GUITAR PIECES OF PAGANINI. Jisus, I canāt stop feeling like theyāre so underrated, I mean- Listen, Iāām never romantic about music because of personal stuff, but damn⦠āRomanzaā. ROMANZA. I feel like seeing a yard of just herb and butterflies flying around. Itās beautiful. And āGrand Sonataā feels pretty nostalgic (maybe because my country took it to make a kids melodyā¦. yikes). Itās just a safe comfort place when I listen to it. And not gonna imagine how GOOD could be the guitar piece he dedicated to Germiā¦
It's always 'wyd' and never 'lmaiay'
