it’s so funny to me that throughout the books, movies, AND tv show that everyone still walks around calling hannibal “DOCTOR lecter”. like. none of yall thought to revoke this man’s medical license when he went to jail for MURDER????
Anyways, here's some 1830s ladies watching an opera.
((They're in love btw))
A week ago, my school gave me a certificate for getting the silver medal for National Science Olympics (the winner for each medal is more than one). The competition's name might be National Science Olympics, but there are a lot of separate subjects ( for the selection, I won silver for English and math, which is the medal required for passing, and on the final, I won silver only in English). After they finished taking a picture of me holding the certificate, I went back to my seat with my girl classmates. My crush called me cool and I was so happy aaaaaa
So my class took a class picture and for a girls only picture , the teacher who photographed us asks us to, like, hug the person next to us from the back and lean to them and the girl next to me is my crush aaaaaa

(Author's note: there's a slight mention of period typical homophobia on the 8th paragraph)
Today, me and Tori are going on a museum date. We both wore our favourite outfits. We arrived at 11 am.
"Hey, what if we check that new section over there, Al?" Tori pointed to an exhibit with a sign that says "Violet Wreaths and Green Carnations".
"Sounds good." She held my hand and led me. Turns out, the new exhibit is about same-sex relationships in history.
There were lots of photographs, paintings, written records, you know, things you'll see at most museum exhibits.
"Allie, there's the original draft of that play you were talking about that day !"
"Really? Let's see it, then!"
We looked at the said script, carefully displayed inside a glass box. There's a sign beneath it.
«This is the original script of the play "The Knight And The Elven Bard" by Claus Chasterell. The Rosenhart Theatre refused to perform this version of the script because of its "depiction of unacceptable behavior"(this play depicted romance between two men), saying that it would ruin the public's impression of both Chasterell and the theatre itself. Chasterell then revised it, changing the terms of endearment Alois (the knight) and Albion (the bard) used to refer each other with to platonic terms such as friend, dear companion, etc. He also changed the kiss scene in the epilogue to a warm embrace. But even with the changes, the playwright's true intentions are still recognizable.»
Then, right beside the script was a letter. The sign beneath it said:
«This letter was found by Claudia Izabel Carper on her sixth great-granduncle's house, on the main bedchamber, to be exact. The identity of the sender is unknown, as he (the sender stated he was a man, although not explicitly) used an alias, Victor. But, the handwriting seemed quite similar to the handwriting of the famous poet Claus Chasterell. The recipient is only addressed as "My Beloved", but because of the location this letter was found on, it's safe to say that the recipient was Ms.Carper's sixth great-granduncle.»
"Wait, so your sixth great-grandfather...," Tori whispered. "He liked men too?" We both said in union.
After a long silence, I shrugged. "Well, maybe he does, but, I think it's better to do more research after this date is over, don't you think so, babe?"
Tori nods. "Yeah, I guess so, sweetie."
(A/N: I'll try to finish the second part as soon as possible)
It's always 'wyd' and never 'lmaiay'
I finally decided to tell Tori about the charcoal sketch. I invited her, and she came to my house. I showed her the sketch of Alois Vilhelm and said that he might've been the inspiration for my family members' names.
"Interesting. Who do you think wrote the endearments?"
"I don't know. The portrait dates from 1819, so the person who wrote it must've lived during those times.."
"The naming of Louis variant names was started by your fifth great-grandfather, right?" Tori asked.
I think about it for a while. "I don't think he's the one who wrote it, Tori. He's born in 1815, so he probably wouldn't address Alois by his first name."
"You're right, Al." Tori continued, "And it couldn't be your sixth great-grandmother, since your sixth great-grandfather and her divorced a year before."
Suddenly, I remembered about the exhibit.
"Tori? Remember about that letter from 'Victor'? What if.. what if Victor was indeed my sixth great-grandfather, and this Alois.. was his beloved?"
"We can't confirm it yet. We need more proof."
I replied quickly. "I got the sketch from a secret storage under my bed! Maybe there's more things in there!"
"Let's check it!" She turned on the flashlight function on her phone. I opened the secret storage and pulled out a pile of unsealed envelopes.
With shaking hands, I opened one of them and examined the content. A love letter for 'Victor', signed by "Your Beloved". Tori held Alois's sketch, and we compared his handwriting to the letter.
"It fits," we said in union. Then, Tori quickly opened her gallery app, viewing the letter from 'Victor', then comparing it with the endearments behind the sketch, and finally, to Claus Chasterell's handwritten original script of "The Knight and The Elven Bard".
"Is it him?" I asked. She nodded. "Yes, it is Claus's handwriting."
"So, does it mean, the reason my fifth great-grandfather named his son Alois.. is because Alois Vilhelm dated Claus Chasterell?"
"Yes."
We both looked at each other. We did it. We found out who's this Alois my family members are named after.
His name is Alois Vilhelm, and he's my sixth great-grandfather's lover.
(A/N : sorry if this is so rushed, guys! I just wanted to make sure this wouldn't end up unfinished like Cosette and Louisette.. also the secret is pretty guessable isn't it?)
Welp, he looks pretty decent I guess... Anyways, here's my The Arcana mc in Julian's upright ending hehe
