people are playing games of telephone with information about palestine and sometimes it's harmless and sometimes it's not.
no. all of the hospitals in gaza have NOT been destroyed. all of them have been ATTACKED, none of htem are fully functioning anymore, but, NO, they are not all fully destroyed.
tweets by palestinians mourning the safety of the last FULLY FUNCTIONING hospital have been misconstrued as "no hospitals are left" and that misunderstanding leads to a sense of hopelessness that can translate into less medical aid going through to the hospitals that remain--damaged, attacked, more vulnerable than ever before but still standing.
israel has destroyed a large amount of the FUNCTIONALITY of all 36 hospitals but doctors are still doing their best within many of them. and need aid, calls for support, power.
i am once again on my KNEES begging y'all to not just spread one sentence tweets about the state of gaza from people who are... not in gaza. i am asking you to do more work to verify the information you spread.
Asra Alnazar is not the asshole!
WIBTA if I messed up the count's ritual on purpose so I could bring my partner back to life?
I (20sX) am a mage hired by the count (30s-40sM) who rules over my region to help find a cure for a plague that has been dooming all of us for quite a while.
There have been many victims of the plague, including my (soon no longer) deceased partner, and the count himself. As he grows more desperate, he asked me to perform a ritual involving the major arcana (like, the actual figures represented by the cards) which would transfer his soul and conscience to The Fool's body.
However, I have a better idea. What if I used the ritual to resurrect my partner instead? I mean, it's a selfish thing to do, but to do it for the count would be equally selfish thing on his side, and besides, he was the one who brought the plague here and no one actually liked his snobby, selfish ass, so.. would I really be the asshole if I were to bring my partner back to life by messing with the ritual and let that count die?

Today, me and Tori are going on a museum date. We both wore our favourite outfits. We arrived at 11 am.
"Hey, what if we check that new section over there, Al?" Tori pointed to an exhibit with a sign that says "Violet Wreaths and Green Carnations".
"Sounds good." She held my hand and led me. Turns out, the new exhibit is about same-sex relationships in history.
There were lots of photographs, paintings, written records, you know, things you'll see at most museum exhibits.
"Allie, there's the original draft of that play you were talking about that day !"
"Really? Let's see it, then!"
We looked at the said script, carefully displayed inside a glass box. There's a sign beneath it.
«This is the original script of the play "The Knight And The Elven Bard" by Claus Chasterell. The Rosenhart Theatre refused to perform this version of the script because of its "depiction of unacceptable behavior"(this play depicted romance between two men), saying that it would ruin the public's impression of both Chasterell and the theatre itself. Chasterell then revised it, changing the terms of endearment Alois (the knight) and Albion (the bard) used to refer each other with to platonic terms such as friend, dear companion, etc. He also changed the kiss scene in the epilogue to a warm embrace. But even with the changes, the playwright's true intentions are still recognizable.»
Then, right beside the script was a letter. The sign beneath it said:
«This letter was found by Claudia Izabel Carper on her sixth great-granduncle's house, on the main bedchamber, to be exact. The identity of the sender is unknown, as he (the sender stated he was a man, although not explicitly) used an alias, Victor. But, the handwriting seemed quite similar to the handwriting of the famous poet Claus Chasterell. The recipient is only addressed as "My Beloved", but because of the location this letter was found on, it's safe to say that the recipient was Ms.Carper's sixth great-granduncle.»
"Wait, so your sixth great-grandfather...," Tori whispered. "He liked men too?" We both said in union.
After a long silence, I shrugged. "Well, maybe he does, but, I think it's better to do more research after this date is over, don't you think so, babe?"
Tori nods. "Yeah, I guess so, sweetie."
(A/N: I'll try to finish the second part as soon as possible)
The bus stopped. I hugged Aloisia one last time before they walked home. Then, I walked to mine, just a few blocks away. I walked quickly, because I knew Papa must've cooked something nice. Even if he didn't, well, we could just eat instant noodles.
House no. 182. I knocked the door. Pops opened the door.
"How's the date, Tori?"
"Amazing!"
He patted my head. "Tell us more after you change your clothes, okay?"
I nodded. "Sure!"
After I changed into my PJs, I walked to the kitchen. "What's for dinner?"
"Hmm.. it's been a while since we ate instant noodles, right?" Pops asked, glancing at Papa.
"Instant noodles doesn't have that many nutrition, you know?" Papa asked back. But, he ended up grabbing a spicy cheese noodle. "This is the last one, too bad.." He smirked at Pops.
"I'll let you have it," Pops responded, picking a curry flavoured one. Papa pinched Pops' cheek softly (ugh they flirt like clingy teens). I grabbed the original fried noodle (fried here means that it has no broth, FYI) and we cooked it. After a few minutes, I mixed my noodles with the premade seasoning and fried onion.
I was going to walk to the living room and eat there with Pops (A/N: as a +62 citizen, this is actually how my family eats, even tho we have a dining table), but Papa patted my back. "Have some rice with it, kiddo. Noodles isn't really filling."
"Yes, Papa." The three of us sat down on the carpet of the living room. We ate.
"So, how's the date?"
"There's this new exhibit at the museum about same-sex relationships. They finally acknowledged that couple."
"I knew he's more than his confidant."
I smiled. "Also, dads, I.. I just had my first kiss with Aloisia."
"YOU WHAT?"
I nodded enthusiastically. Papa hugged me. Pops congratulated me. Then, Papa let go and looked at me.
"You should tell your mom after we finish!"
So, we finished our dinner, and then we came back to the living room. I brought my phone, turned it on, and video called Mama.
"Ah, Tori! Hello! And hello too, Victor and Robert!"
"Hi, Mama."
"How are you?"
"Good. Anyway, Mama, I wanna tell you something.."
She looked at me curiously. "What is it?"
"Mama, I just had my first kiss with my sweetheart."
She did the (:0) face. "Aww, congrats!" Then we talked more. Mama hanged up first. Me and my dads brushed our teeth and went to bed. Before I closed my eyes, I looked at a picture of me and Aloisia.
Today was a very nice day.
Disclaimer: Victor (aka Papa) is Tori's biological dad, while Robert (aka Pops) is Tori's stepdad
If there's no disclaimer about whose POV the story is, then it's Aloisia's.
In case anyone needed some context (page 237 to be exact)
