āWe all have our own curses. Our own blessings. We are the gods of our own universes, arenāt we? Destructive ones.ā
Ezra: At least Callum has been eliminated.
Callum, 4 feet away:
Callum Nova
Not me sleepless at night over Novacaine's fight scene in The Atlas Paradox where Tristan tries to tell Callum they had a thing that is now broken through noone's fault but their own and Callum feels rage for the first time that is all his own and not secondhand, and all zen-like he channels Dale Carnegie and goes 'I hope you and L*bby Rh*des are happy together', and Tristan just flails.
Tristan trying his literal hardest to be proud of Callum:
The thought of Callum Nova suffering everytime he uses his powers, and knowing that he keeps it to himself because he doesn't think anyone will care or that he doesn't deserve to be cared for breaks my heart...of course, being the whump writer that I am, I have a bajillion hurt/comfort Novacaine fic ideas, but am terrified of writing them because there is no way I can ever emulate Olivie Blake's beautiful, uber-deep, thought-provoking prose. It's devastating.
What if I died? What if I started frothing at the mouth and crumpled to the ground??

āThe Atlasā series is so much more than dark academia or romance. This series studies what happens to human beings when they are promised access to infinite knowledge and power. It is about how quickly we turn on each other and abandon our own morals to gain. said knowledge and power. Each installment blew me away as I watched Blakeās six protagonists gradually find and/or destroy themselves. My mind was continuously expanded by her prose and it made me question my every decision. Itās a soul crushing read, but perhaps also a necessary one.

callum vs parisa sparring: tragic, ironic, poetic cinema, shot in 4k with a gothic rainy london background, ramin djawadi soundtrack, slow motion scenes, riveting and terrible and inevitable, corrupt academic magicians fighting mind battles and wielding mutual trauma, wins 4 emmys and a tony, many tears were shed
callum vs tristan face-off: bitch on bitch violence, brutal but sam levinson directs it, depeche mode plays in the background, tristan is doing parkour, callum is drunk, there's an extended scene where they're just pointing at each other's faces, libby chained to a wall says "you're not even hitting each other you're just slut-dropping", nico has his phone out but he's not calling 911 he's just streaming it on twitch
Listen, thereās a LOT of things to be said about the actual ending of Atlas Complex, but Callum Nova unequivocally served cunt and comedic gold right up to the last second.

why is no one is talking about this part in The Atlas Complex:
"Oh. So it's like that?" Nico said.
"Yeah." It left Gideon in a rasp, but fuck it. It had lived in his throat long enough
"Good." Nico caught him by a fistful of his T-shirt tugging him in again. "Good."
everyone loves torturing blonde men, but what about men who are fake blondes? why can't we torture the guy so filled with lies and personas that it is symbolized in his appearance? why can't we kick and stomp on men that of all the colours choose blonde????
it's hilarious to me that all the characters in ta6 thinks that Callum, the empath, is utterly incapable of actually understanding emotions and especially love, but then he's also the character who says things like "Tristan, I love you. I need you. I crave you." and "it was always meant to end with one of us" and "You don't have to choose me. Just know that it won't stop me from choosing you." and "See me for what I really am. You're the only one who ever has." and after Tristan asks him "Who am I supposed to be now?" replies "Whoever it is, I won't turn away."
that man doesn't know what it's like to be loved but he sure knows how to love with his whole being
folks on tumblr will be like āoh my sweet baby, my darlingā whole time itās a grown adult with a list of crimes longer than they are tall
