wish i was oscar isaac in ex machina, just running around, titties out, saying completely unhinged things to my co-workers
He did all of this while sick. He showed up to set and filmed intense, physical scenes. He traveled the world for press tours and made time for fans. He crafted an intentional legacy with the time that he had. And he did it all while he was sick.
I was grateful for and in awe of him before...but now? To know what this legacy cost him? The sacrifice? The only words I have are these:
Wakanda forever. Our king forever. Chadwick forever.
“It was meant to be for Chadwick and me to be connected, for us to be family. But what many don’t know is our story began long before his historic turn as Black Panther. During the premiere party for Black Panther, Chadwick reminded me of something. He whispered that when I received my honorary degree from Howard University, his alma mater, he was the student assigned to escort me that day. And here we were, years later as friends and colleagues, enjoying the most glorious night ever! We’d spent weeks prepping, working, sitting next to each other every morning in makeup chairs, preparing for the day together as mother and son. I am honored that we enjoyed that full circle experience. This young man’s dedication was awe-inspiring, his smile contagious, his talent unreal. So I pay tribute to a beautiful spirit, a consummate artist, a soulful brother…”thou aren’t not dead but flown afar…”. All you possessed, Chadwick, you freely gave. Rest now, sweet prince.” #WakandaForever
here are some very important things to keep in mind!!!! go follow these leaders also.

“Chad was this lanky young man with big eyes and an endearing smile and a very gentle way. What I saw in him was the sky was the limit. He never asked me to introduce him to anyone – that’s not his way. He was going to make it on his own merits.” Phylicia Rashad

Rest in peace, King.
Rest in Power, King.

This honestly is so powerful and painful. The way he talks about the kids’ excitement and determination to survive long enough to see Black Panther is bittersweet. He gave generations of Black audiences a movie where a Black man is a king, a warrior, a loyal friend, and a grieving son all rolled into one. That’s fucking iconic. Knowing now that he carried the hopes and expectations of his community while battling literal death and that he reached out to kids struggling with cancer as well just brings home the fact that Chadwick was an actual hero and a beacon that got extinguished too early.
Being where I’m from, he was a hometown hero. “The one who made it out” so to speak. He played many great roles of great people. He will be sadly missed.
Chadwick Boseman (1977-2020)
imsebastianstan: Today is beyond devastating to comprehend. Just shock and pain…I was in awe of Chadwick, as an actor, in his commitment to the work and as a human. I looked up to him. The way he carried himself, how thoughtful and mindful he was, how generous…he elevated everyone around him. None of it makes sense to me. There was so much more coming from this man. It’s such a loss. Such a shame.
Perfectly said. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
this is so heartbreaking
The Marvel family pays their respects to Chadwick Boseman, you changed the lives of many people in your portrayal as The Black Panther. You will always be our king and never forgotten.
brielarson Chadwick was someone who radiated power and peace. Who stood for so much more than himself. Who took the time to really see how you were doing and gave words of encouragement when you felt unsure. I’m honored to have the memories I have. The conversations, the laughter. My heart is with you and your family. You will be missed and never forgotten. Rest in power and peace my friend.
Rest in power, Chadwick.
"Not only was he Black Panther. He was Jackie Robinson. He was Thurgood Marshall. He was James Brown. He was Thoth. He was the culture..."
Rest in Power, Chadwick Boseman.
Rest in peace, Chadwick Boseman.
