However, unlike Kirby, Rifty is more shy and introverted, though they still enjoy the close company of their friends. Backstory & Lore: Riding in from a winter breeze, Rifty arrived in Dream Land from a mysterious inter-dimensional rift. They have no memory of who they were before, the only thing they remember is waking in Kirby’s house after Kirby took them in from the storm. Rifty has been living in Dream Land for a couple of months now, doing their best to settle into their new peaceful life, all while still being haunted by the past they can’t quite grasp. Status Update: Hi everyone! It’s been a bit, huh? Sorry that it’s been a while since I’ve given any updates on the novel project or ask blog 😅 I’ve been a little busy with developing my artstyle + other matters. I should be getting back into the flow of things though and plan on working on Chapter 3 of Purple Butterfly pretty soon! I’ve been working very hard to make sure my work is the best that it can be for your viewing pleasure! I can’t wait to share the next part of Rifty’s story with you all, it’s gonna be quite a big one!

ROUND ONE: Rifty VS Antu Jr.

Starting to get more comfortable with adding personal little details to my AU’s character designs now. Here’s what 🦋!Kirby looks like during the winter! I learned what winter coats were somewhat recently and now I really wanna start implementing that into my work. Something else I also decided recently was to give Kirby a little cottontail! I might give one to Rifty too, maybe it’s something astral starborns grow only during the winter season sometimes?

🦋 A Star is Born 🌟

On one winter’s night, as the cold wind blew, Meta Knight looks up into the sky atop the towers of Castle Dedede.

“A star shines bright in the skies of the north, prophesying the birth of another astral starborn. It has been a very long time since an event such as this has occurred, when Kirby made their way to this planet during a spring breeze, but that felt like eons ago.

I wonder why the galaxy believes it needs another one of us again, is there another threat that has yet to put our land in peril? Is there a danger that lurks in the dark once more? Whatever it is, it is clear that there is a reason for this occurrence.

I wonder what you will be like when you arrive. Will you be kind and compassionate like Kirby? Will you be strong and heroic like Dedede? Will you be as brave and considerate as Bandana?

Or will you threaten this land once more like dark matter did years ago?

Will you wish to care for and nurture this land? Or will you wish upon its destruction?

Nay, I mustn't let such thoughts plague my mind, I must stand firm and observant in my judgment…

…and yet I just cannot wait for you to arrive, young one.

I raise my mighty blade in the air for you, awaiting the advent of a brand new star.”

SURPRISE PROPAGANDA ATTACK!

I want to cheer on as many people as possible! Since I’ve already done posts for these four in previous rounds, I’ve decided to do one for all of them together! All of them are my friends, so please vote for them!

- Rifty is kind and fun to be around! They’re also purple, which is the best colour. They went out of their way to pose for me to help me draw their horns last time I drew them, and I think that’s really nice of them! I still need to do something for them to repay the favour. This post doesn’t count!

- Peony is smarter than most adults I’ve met, and she’s even younger than my little sister! She has really cool soul magic powers, and even though she’s much smarter than me, she isn’t ever mean to me about it. In fact, she’s a real sweetheart! And her parents are really nice too!

- When I first met Noir, I thought he seemed really cool and I wanted to be friends with him. But now that I am friends with him, I can see that in fact… he is really cool! He’s nice to kids and I respect that a lot! He also once offered to scare away anyone who bullied me. I’d do the same for him!

- Mr Mapobas is a royal mage! He’s very important! And yet he’s been really nice to me and offered me lots of advice, even though I’m just some random noddy who does magic tricks for a living. He’s one of my favourite people to talk to. And he’s super fashionable! And he has cool hair!
