It Begins

The Next Beatles Game

this is only a placeholder of course. Let it be known that as a placeholder menu song it plays the guitar solo from Freebird. I wish it could always be this epic but stupid beatle song will have to replace it.

Good news for Ringo fans since he is actually in this one.

I spent the last 30 or so hours working on Act 1's coding. I have 1459 lines of code in the script as of now.

This is a much more ambitious project than CBML. To put it into perspective, the first choice in CBML was at line 1611, and AHDN has about 10 choices and a minigame so far.

But as Can't Buy Me Love improved upon Paulgame, I aim to improve upon CBML with "A Hard Day's Night: The Game". A Hard Game's Night? The title is a work in progress...

The outline is more or less finished. The plot follows along the lines of the film, but I don't want to make it an identical experience to watching the movie either.

Like CBML there is an original player character, I draw info from the original script, add a little here and there, ect.

Your choices will matter much more in this game. I have variables and a point system, the Beatle boys will remember if you slighted them, or vice verca.

It is planned to be a tamer game than Can't Buy Me Love, (I mean, CBML was a real fever dream of a plot), but fear not, I will try to integrate my classic Brummelliana wacky zany humor everybody and their mother loves.

My current plan is to finish act 1 as a demo, and then continue on the rest of the game. If I'm lucky, maybe it will be out this summer, give or take. Maybe the full game will be done by winter 2025.

Maybe I should go crazy and sell the full thing for like... a dollar. I don't know if that'll make Paul sue me or what. The full game might be a few hours, so I might get away with it.

No thoughts, only curious bab who wants to explore and touch and put their whole hand in their mouth even though it won't fit. Who bites their lips and rocks back n forth- then a paci is there to replace anything that bab would put in their mouth. Only Doc Mc Stuffins n soft blankies n sweet milk that makes me sleepy

i decided to give you guys two options for each week this year and i wanted them to correlate to one another in some shape or form + an extra month to work on it!

the rules are simple!

each prompt is explained under the cut

Week 1 - Sun & Moon / Cat & Dog

these can either be taken literally (as in you make them into for eg; noah, a black cat, and cody, a golden retriever) or metaphorically (noah has moon energy so you include things that symbolize that, and same goes for cody with his sun energy)

Week 2 - Monsters / Angst

you can turn them both or one of them into (a) monster(s)! this could be tethered to the angst genre or you could make a completely different angsty scenario between the two of them

Week 3 - Older / Childhood Friends

they can either be in university, full-grown adults, or heck! even elderly men 😭 so how do they look now? what's changed in their lives and in their relationship? do they still keep in touch or have they strayed away from each other? who knows! it's all up to you

as for childhood friends? they could be toddlers like on dramarama, maybe prepebusecent teens? just make sure they are younger than they are on the show (aka 16)

Week 4 - Canon Divergence / Reality TV Duo

i wanna see you put these two nerds in a completely different reality tv genre! it could be a cooking competition, something like wipeout or love island, a quizz show! anything as long as it isn't total drama.

unless,,, you do want them to be a duo in TD then you could make a canon divergence situation where these two are the ones participating in ridonculous race, or write/draw them in a scenario that's based off any scene in total drama (one that either has them or has nothing to do with them whatsoever) and twist it in a way that makes Noah and Cody's relationship the main focus
