“I’m Fine” Starters (for characters who are breaking but hiding it behind practiced smiles and default sarcasm)
✧ I’m fine. I mean, sure, I haven’t slept in three days and my thoughts sound like static, but yeah, I’m great. ✧ It’s easier to make jokes about the chaos than to admit how much of it is mine. ✧ Every time someone asks how I’m doing, I lie a little more convincingly. ✧ I can’t tell if I’ve gotten stronger or if I’ve just gotten better at pretending. ✧ I cried in the bathroom stall and came back out with a joke ready. No one noticed the red eyes. They laughed. ✧ I tell people I’m tired. It’s easier than saying I can’t remember the last time I felt okay. ✧ I’m the go-to friend for advice. No one ever asks if I’m surviving. ✧ I don’t know what scares me more—someone noticing or no one ever noticing at all. ✧ I’ve built this version of myself that everyone seems to love. The only problem? I don’t recognize them anymore. ✧ Smiling is just muscle memory now. I wish it meant something.
Enemies Softening Starters (for when hate starts turning into understanding, and understanding starts burning a little too sweet)
✧ I used to hate the way they looked at me. Now I hate how much I want them to do it again. ✧ We don’t talk about the moment our hands brushed. But we haven’t stopped thinking about it either. ✧ There’s still tension when we speak—but now it’s the kind that makes my stomach flip, not clench. ✧ I catch myself defending them when they’re not around. I don’t know when that started. ✧ I know I’m supposed to hate them. I just don’t remember why as clearly anymore. ✧ They’re still annoying. Arrogant. Impossible. And I think about them way too often. ✧ When they’re angry, I find myself watching too closely. Like I want to understand the fire, not put it out. ✧ We bicker the way fire crackles, dangerous, but kind of addictive. ✧ They’re the last person I should trust. And yet, when things went bad… they were the only one who showed up. ✧ It’s not that I want to kiss them. It’s just… I wouldn’t dodge if they tried.
“I Thought I Was Over It” Starters (for characters who swore they’d moved on—until the memory hits like a bruise)
✧ I saw them across the room and it felt like a ghost walked through me. ✧ I thought the ache had gone. But one song, and suddenly I was seventeen again, heart cracked wide open. ✧ I can say their name without flinching now. But thinking about them still feels like biting into something bitter. ✧ I told myself I healed. But then I saw that smile—our smile—and all the old hurt came flooding back. ✧ I let them go. I did. I just didn’t expect to still miss them when it rains. ✧ I don’t want them back. I just want to know if they still remember me too. ✧ I laughed when I saw their name. That sharp, bitter kind of laugh that tastes too much like grief. ✧ There are people I’ve loved since. But none of them cracked me open the way they did. ✧ I found our old photo and couldn’t throw it out. I just… moved it to a drawer. ✧ Healing isn’t linear. Some days, I forget them. Some days, I remember everything.
Continuation of Soap using military talk on you, let's change things up a bit
When you use military talk it always makes Soap crack up.
The first time it happens he's playfully chasing you through the appartment. "You little shit! You ate the last one, don't deny it!", he is shouting after you. And when you just giggle he can feel his heart skip a beat.
"Can't prove it Johnny, maybe you ate it and forgot!", you counter. And you can hear the soft thumping of his feet speed up.
You're sqealing in delight as you try to rush around the couch to have a barrier between you and him. Before you can do that, there's fingers on your waist and Soap grabs you. Your body abruptly changes directions, being thrown onto the couch instead of running behind it.
You land with a soft "oof" and Soap immediately holds your wrists down. His cheeks are tinted a lovely shade of pink and he's panting.
You wriggle in a mock attempt to get free and say: "Captain! There's been an ambush!"
He grins: "Yeah? Captain, really?"
You laugh a bit and answer "Captain we got a Situation Alpha over here!"
Your heart soars when he barks out a laugh. "That...", he tries to stop laughing and fails "That's not how it works."
Now you're both breathless with amusement and you get out between huffs of breath: "We need backup! Got a charly foxtrott here! Need an evac right now, or we'll be in a deep code red!"
Soap absolutely wheezes in laughter above you, his entire body shaking and he finaly collapses onto you. His voice mocks you between his bursts of laughter. "In a code red...", he's near hysterical as he throws your words back at you "Got a charley... charley..." He gives up trying to repeat you, rolls off of you and falls to the soft carpet next to the couch with a thud.
You lean over the side still giggling and watch him, as he clutches his ribs while shaking with laughter.
"Ow, ow, ow it hurts.", he wheezes between laughing and your grin grows soft and fond.
Finally he calms down and smiles up at you, both your expressions mirroring the affection of the other.
He crawls up to you again, caging you in between his arms and leaning down until his lips brush yours. "Better rescue you from your dangerous situation then."
The following kiss if full of smiles.
im just a girl who sleeps for 12 hours and still cant get out of bed bc shes imagining romantic scenarios with her favorite comfort character
The Avengers 2012 era was the best time ever in the fandom
Thor loves pop tarts, Clint lived in the vents, Bruce and Tony did science together, Steve was the mom friend of the team and did art in his free time, Natasha was cool aunt of the team, Loki was there too and a bunch of other characters like Peter, Sam, Bucky, Vision and Wanda all lived in the Avengers tower together
It was a much simpler time where everyone in the fandom was chill and having fun together

Speaking thoughts aloud:
I love Cullen. Everything about him. His strengths and his flaws.
I love his story. Every bit of it. As it is written.
I may have wished for more. For him to be a companion so we could dive deeper into his character and arc. To see things handled a bit differently only because his story had the potential to be truly fantastic.
But even so, for me, it was.
He may not be perfect in Inquisition, he may still have some growing to do (and my opinion of what that growth looks like is not the same as others, which is okay), but in truth, that makes me love it—love him—all the more.
It keeps the theme of his story that has been there from the beginning:
What it means to be human.
To have hopes, dreams, ideals, ambitions. To have preconceived notions and to have them proven wrong. To have your heart and mind at odds. To have doubts, struggles, fears. To have your heroes fail you. To have your friends turn against you. To have your ideals used against you. To be broken. Used. Abandoned. Violated. Manipulated. To have that pain twist and corrupt. To have that pain weaponized. To weaponize it. To lose your way…and yourself. To face your sins. To claw after redemption. To seek atonement. To have faith as your shelter in the storms of life. To want to serve something greater than yourself.
“I have decided to take Seeker Pentaghast's offer. The Circles have fallen. I can give no more to the Templar Order, nor it to me. The Maker has shown me a new path; I must take it.”
Hands bloody, tears streaming down your cheeks, throat raw from prayers and penitence, heart trembling with the fear that you’re too far gone as you dig through the refuse of your own making to find yourself—who you truly are—again.
To persevere.
And against all odds to find life, freedom, purpose, hope and even love in the end.

pulling away and their faces are all flushed and they hear nothing but the sound of eachother trying to catch their own breaths
grabbing them by their waist and tugging them closer to deepen the kiss
^ maybe it catches the other off guard and they let out a little noise of surprise (much to the amusement of their partner)
cupping their cheeks and giving them a peck on the nose or lips
smiling into the kiss (it's gonna do it for me every time)
or if they smirk a little whilst doing it oh my god
they're lying on the bed, one on top of the other just planting kisses alllllll over their face. all over.
just going at it and suddenly they're being picked up and placed on the counter (or whatever surface is near)
laughing out loud when one of them makes any noises accidentally
one is shorter and they just plant a soft kiss (or kisses) along the taller's jawline
gentle. forehead. kisses.
a first kiss: one just goes for it so fast that the other doesn't realize what's happening at first. then they're like "oh shit"
^ but they slowly melt into it, let their eyes close, and kiss back
back hugging and the one in front just turns around to press their lips against the other's
those kisses that start off short and sweet, but things just naturally escalate
whispering words of admiration and love between a kiss
one is on the other's lap, holding their face between their hands, kissing them and instantly forgetting everything else in the room with them
those kisses that are just passionate from the start, they wrap their arms around their partner's neck or waist, being dipped back slightly.
after a heated session, they admire their flushed partner and softly place a peck on the cheek.
when they're holding hands and one just brings them up to their lips and places a kiss on their fingers.

if i'm not DISGUSTINGLY in love with at least one (1) of the characters in any given piece of media it is not for me. if i have no one to crawl and weep for? can't get into it. if there is not one single character that makes me want to bash my head through a wall and then write ten thousand (fictional or academic) words about them then what is the point. respectfully
