Based off this post. funny doodles i took too seriously.
Since we all agree that people of the Alley of Crime adore Red Hood and believe in him, I think it is time to imagine Jason in a scene similar to the one from OG Spiderman, where his identity is accidentally outted in front of crowd of people, and they all are just choose to protect him and help him out.
So maybe Gotham is facing especially nasty trouble, and vigilantes are on the receiving end this time. So maybe Jason is thrown at the dirty Alley in his part of town, wounded, with helmet flying off, and there is just a crowd of people staring as bleeds out, astonished. And Jason thinks, oh, that's the end — he can go and shoot himself, honestly, because he just failed the man rule every vigilante have: never show your face, never reveal your identity.
But people are... helping him? His eyes are half-open, breath laboured and pained, but all he hears is gentle murmuring:
'God, he is just a kid...'
'He must be younger than my son.'
'Poor child...'
He feels soft elderly hand against his cheek as someone from the crowd, an ex nurse, comes closer to bandage his injuries, while a kid, barely with the size of his helmet, brings it back, sticking out their tongue as they try to place it back on his head, to hide his face.
'It is okay,' the old woman reassures him. 'You are safe with us, son. We hadn't seen anything.'
Jason's eyes sting, because, oh.
It is his people. He loves them. He will die for them.
And they love him just as much.
He still waits for someone to out him, though. But the week ends, the villain is out of the picture, and no one says a thing. The only proof that it ever happened is civilians, who keep waving at Jason — not Red Hood, just Jason — when their paths cross somewhere in the shops or streets.
And that's how he knows that it is them; it is them, and they keep him safe as much as he keeps safe them.
My child is growing wings under his skin and they look… pretty fully formed… like they’re about to burst out any minute
Do you know which hospital has better care for….alternative biology we’ll say
Or would I be better off getting him to a metropolis hospital in this case?
For the growth period we’ve been managing the pain for him pretty successfully with some pain killers and occulting between a heating pad and a cooling one but… idk somethings about to happen I know it
Good question. Gotham is getting better about (as you put it best) alternative biology. Probably ever since the Signal showed up and people remembered that metas exist. But I'd definitely still recommend going to Metropolis for this. I've got some friends at Knight Memorial who see cases like this pretty regularly. Keep at the heating and cooling routine and (depending on your kid's age), you can cycle between ibuprofen and tylenol as needed. Best of luck and let me know if you need anything. I'm not well read on wing development, but I'm happy to look into temporary housing out in Metropolis or to call in a favor with the good people of Knight Memorial. Stay safe out there
Love this
we healing from this ending so have the inko adopts tenko/izuku-tenko siblings au
other scribbles of it ....... also lol if u think about it this au is kinda the equivalent of the afo-yoichi-kudou dynamic but lighthearted and no actual murder stuff happens .....
AND HERES THE VERY OLD VERSION OF THIS AU LOL i had this around 2022 and had a whole thread about it. im not sure if i even posted this here but whatever. so sorry its kinda Cringey bc of how outdated it is
Imagine being Alfred during Batman Begins when Bruce leaves to “find himself.” Alfred is worried, but reminds himself that all rich men do this and he’s probably just going to come back as a worldly, obnoxious vegetarian. Then Bruce shows up several years later buff as hell and it’s like no, he’s a ninja. he’s a ninja and he wants to terrorize Gotham in a bat costume.
No like, fr though. Jet is such an asshole during that arc especially when you think about the context of accusing someone with a Burn Scar of being a firebender, I'm surprised nobody tried else to kick his ass
Jet from atla is so funny bc like, he's fighting zuko and taunting him being like "bet you wanna use some fire instead of those swords, dont u fireboy" which is a funny thing to say to a guy who is clearly very eager to fight using swords
Heart wrenching... more writers should write Bruce like this, as a man who cares so so much, but can't show it as Batman, cuz if he shows weakness his villains will exploit it, they have before
Bruce is known for bottling up his emotions, shoving them aside in favor of the greater good, the work that needs to be done, getting rid of his own so he can deal with other peoples. But… emotions have to come out, they always do. And bruce knows that. And plans for it. And after Jason’s death… he shoves it all down, shoves it away, so he can focus on Dick, and Alfred, and Gotham, and Tim, who’s newly introduced into his life, and then… and then he shoves them all out of the house, for one day. Asks for one day. Gives Dick and Tim bonding time, forces Alfred to finally take a “sick day” and meet up with some old military buddies. But Tim forgets his phone, and heads back into the Manor to grab it, telling Dick to wait outside.
And he goes down to the cave, because thats where he left it last-
And stumbles upon bruce, kneeling on the floor in front of Jason’s memorial case, his old robin suit clutched in his hands.
Tim almost speaks, almost goes closer, when Bruce tips back his head and screams, the sound so bone chilling and frightening- that Tim almost thinks for a moment hes been mind controlled or something- but it devolves into sobs, heart wrenching, horrible sobs, as he screams his hatred and sadness at the world, his wrath at his son being taken from him, his sorrow that it was so soon.
Bruce wails in mourning, every pent up emotion from everything just exploding outward.
Tim retreats back up the stairs and lies, tells Dick his phone was in his pocket the whole time.

Jason as a theatre kid means so much to me, so I am here to share a slightly related concept with you - Jason, who helps a small theatre group in local Crime Alley school.
It is obviously nothing grand. The school itself is quite poor, barely functionating, but it is here somehow nowadays, and a small group of five kids are so enthusiastic about the whole thing! They don't have anything else, though, so when Jason notices them, he decides... to help them out. He is great with sewing and stuff, so at first, he starts helping them with making costumes. Then, slowly, he helps them more with others things - scripts of their staging, lighting, decorating. He suggests different plays, reads it with them to see, who is interested. And soon other kids start to get interested, too! Even the ones that skipped the school, deciding to give up on a very poor education system there. Jason inspires them.
(And Red Hood starts sponsoring a school; some of his goons turn out to have a very old teaching licence that they give up, because being an honest man with a work wasn't much of a choice, but that's beside the point.)
And that's how Alley of Crime gets their own theatre with a bunch of talented kids.
