Just went on Google to read the lyrics and I want to throw up now.

So glad I am not a part of the fandom. I wasn't a hardcore fan before but I liked her music but her not saying a word about the genocide in Palestine was my last straw.

Guilty as Sin? is a song about Taylor Swift emotionally cheating on her partner.

Where are the Swifties who launched a hate campaign against Joe Alwyn and his female co-stars? Ya'll are awfully quiet now.

This fucking BITCH, claims to have a whole laundry list of mental disorders yet she can’t spare any empathy or imagine someone being debilitated by depression. Also, still sticking by the unproven claim that he cheated and he was a “narcissistic abuser.” if anyone is the NARCISSIST in that relationship it’s the one who wrote songs about cheating on a man because he was too depressed to feed her ego and then vilifying her fans who criticised her for rebounding with a racist.

THIS. I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL

taylor swift is her own boss she owns her own music production company and even if she was actually working under another company, no one would ever dare cut her loose cause they'd lose too much money in doing so but spinning back to the emphasis on the fact that she works under no one but herself that's how much money, power and influence she has and she hasn't spoken a peep about palestine. she could post a link in her bio on instagram and probably raise close to 2 million dollars in 3 days. I've seen the word "cowardly" thrown around a bunch, maybe she simply doesn't care, maybe she doesn't want the world to know that she does not stand for a ceasefire, maybe she thinks speaking will put her life in jeopardy and her entire PR team has advised her to never speak on it or she'll have to be carried around in a bejeweled bullet proof glass case for the next 5 years but if she's silent out of cowardice then she really must think her life is more important than 30 thousand lives maybe because she has 250m instagram followers. I can't imagine being holed up with my billions of dollars and wielding the kind of impact to generate the seismic activity of a 2.3 earthquake at a seattle concert but never speak on anything that matters. what a complete waste of mass scale influence.

Obviously I hate her. All that drama she pulled that "I want to be on the right side of history" and women's rights this and women's rights that and didn't even call for a ceasefire once. She always used feminism so that people have to be nice to her. But never for it's actual purpose. Abd no I do not accept that she doesn't know. She has been friends with Gigi Hadid for so long. I can't believe she doesn't know what is happening

While America is distracted with who Taylor Swift is sitting next to and watching zionist paid commercials, Israel is busy bombing 1.6 million people in Rafah.

Just so everyone understands: these are displaced civilians with absolutely NO WHERE to go.

And Israel has given them 2 options: Be ethnically cleansed or die.

gentle reminder you can rise up from everything. you can recreate yourself. nothing is permanent. you are not stuck. you have choices. you can think new thoughts. you can learn something new. you can create new habits. all that matters is that you decide today and never look back.

literally though if you feel like your life is slipping through your fingers and every day goes too fast… try doing hard things, not just taking the easy route, like reading and making art and exercising and cooking a meal from scratch and journaling, doing these things without distraction, without being absorbed on a screen… the time will stretch and you’ll be reminded that life is long and beautiful if you make it so.

Save my family from the war in Gaza, organized by Hussam Aburamadan
gofundme.com
I am reaching out to you for your help in saving the lives of my family from the… Hussam Aburamadan needs your support for Save my family fr

This campaign is relatively new but I have it on very good authority that it is legitimate.

Hussam needs to evacuate 13 of his family members from Gaza, including his sister who gave birth in February and now has an infant to care for as well as a young daughter. He’s already lost more than 18 of his family members, and now his remaining family are spread out in refugee camps across southern Gaza.

Any donation makes a difference. Sincerely, if everyone who sees this gives $5 that’s already a great step forward.

On my way to get Saleebein Meray Dareechay Mein 🏃

15 August 1952:

15 August 1952:

Your letter came today. I feel happy today after a mild attack of a blue period lasting over a few days. It must be the weather. It is more like spring than summer. The mornings are vaguely cool and disturbing like the first breath of love and the sun in the early hours brings more colour than heat. In the evenings the breeze seems to bring the breath of the seas and the skies seem to close not on drab prison walls but on distant palm- fringed beaches. And it is sad like all beauty that is within your sight and beyond your grasp—like all beauty that you know to be an illusion.

An excerpt from Faiz’s Letters to Alys (Saleebein Meray Dareechay Mein)

A new favorite from Faiz <3

February 27, 2003 (To her mother)
Anyway, I'm rambling. Just want to write to my Mom and tell her that I'm witnessing this chronic, insidious genocide and I'm really scared, and questioning my fi ndamental belief in the goodness of human nature. This has to stop. I think it is a good idea for us all to drop everything and devote our lives to making this stop. I don't think it's an extremist thing to do anymore. I still really want to dance around to Pat Benatar and have boyfriends and make comics for my coworkers. But I also want this to stop. Disbelief and horror is what I feel. Disappointment. I am disappointed that this is the base reality of our world and that we, in fact, participate in it. This is not at all what I asked for when I came into this world. This is not at all what the people here asked for when they came into this world. This is not the world you and Dad wanted me to come into when you decided to have me. This is not what I meant when I looked at Capital Lake and said: "This is the wide world and I'm coming to it." I did not mean that I was coming into a world where I could live a comfortable life and possibly, with no effort at all, exist in complete unawareness of my participation in genocide. More big explosions somewhere in the distance outside. When I come back from Palestine, I probably will have nightmares and constantly feel guilty for not being here, but I can channel that into more work.
On March 16, 2003, an Israeli bulldozer crushed to death 23-year-old U.S. peace activist Rachel Corrie as she tried to prevent the Israeli army from destroying homes in the Gaza Strip. In a series of emails to her family, she explained why she was risking her life.

You know the funny thing about Afghanistan?’ Griffin’s voice was very soft. ‘The British aren’t going to invade with English troops. They’re going to invade with troops from Bengal and Bombay. They’re going to have sepoys fight the Afghans, just like they had sepoys fight and die for them at Irrawaddy, because those Indian troops have the same logic you do, which is that it’s better to be a servant of the Empire, brutal coercion and all, than to resist. Because it’s safe. Because it’s stable, because it lets them survive. And that’s how they win, brother. They pit us against each other. They tear us apart.

[A screenshot of a comment, the comment was posted by someone under a threads post. It says the following;[Israel has run out of creativity. They lack valid arguments. If you witness them killing someone and label them as murderers, you are branded as antisemitic. If they engage in theft and you accuse them of being thieves, you are also deemed antisemitic. Even when their snipers target civilians carrying white flags, any criticism is swiftly dismissed as antisemitic. What is happening, Israel? So much effort in public relations, yet such a feeble response.]

This comment was in response to Israel accusing the ICJ court of "antisemitic biases" after they delivered their ruling.

I’ve been trying to put into words for a while something that I just really really can’t stop thinking about, and that’s the Falasteeni elders in Gaza.

It’s just. How many times now have they been displaced? How many times now have they been forced to leave their homes and move elsewhere knowing that wherever they ended up would not be safe? It happened first in ’48 (maybe even prior to that, depending), then again in ’67, and it’s happening to them now in Gaza with all these false evacuation orders that just lead people to areas that get bombed anyway. They have spent their entire lives enduring Nakba after Nakba. They are proof that the Nakba is ongoing, that it never ended.

How many of their homes have been destroyed? How many loved ones have they lost over the past 75+ years to Zionist violence? How many times have they been forced to rebuild their lives from the ground up again?

Maybe it’s childish to say it, but it’s just not fair. It’s not fair that their entire lives have been stolen over and over and over again. It’s not fair that someone who is born in California can go to Falasteen, pick up a gun when they turn 18, and have more rights to the land, greater claim to “citizenship” than the Falasteeni elders who are denied their right to return. It’s not fair that their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, have only ever known what is it to live in a permanent state of displacement too. It’s not fair that there are elder Palestinians older than the “state” of Israel who remember what it was to live on their own land and who long for their childhood homes and who will never be able to see parts of the beautiful country they were born in again.

I don’t know what I’m trying to say, really. I think we need to just remember them in everything we do. I think we need to constantly be thinking of our Falasteeni elders, whether they’re in Gaza or the West Bank or the Israeli territories or anywhere else in the world. We need to think of them wherever they are, and we need to let the anger and the sadness and the grief we feel for them move us to action because they deserve to see a liberated Falasteen in THEIR lifetimes. They deserve to see their dream of returning to their homes become a reality. They deserve justice, and freedom of movement, and safety, and stability. They deserve to get back what was taken from them when they were children themselves.

We think of them, we show our gratitude to them, and we fight like hell for them until Falasteen is free.

guys i actually beg of you to not let palestine become an unpleasant flashback, a transient tumblr trend, a hasbeen subject that just faded away. as an arab—and specifically iraqi—girl, i know what it feels like to have family displaced all over the world as a result of western imperialism. i know what it feels like to not be able to step foot into your homeland because it’s no longer safe. as an american iraqi, raised in the us and insulated from my roots, it wasn’t until last summer that i was able to visit iraq for the first time, and even then my family was worried for my safety—in my own blood country. although nothing like what palestinians are experiencing right now, it might be the tiniest semblance of what it feels like to watch your country disintegrate in front of you.

and this is a universal arab experience. i volunteer weekly at a refugee center that serves middle eastern refugees, and every day i see the longing in their eyes when they speak of where they hail from. it’s safe to say that we will be getting a wave of palestinian refugees very soon: just another generation of arabs who can’t inhabit their own country.

arab culture is so rich, so profound, so beautiful. i am tired of being told by the world—through literal genocide—that it doesn’t mean anything. please never let this be forgotten. free palestine. free palestine. free palestine.

Seeing footage of the aftermath of the flour massacre in Gaza is so painful

"Where is my daughter? Tell her I don't want flour anymore"

"My brother was shot holding a bag of flour. He kept holding on to it so they kept shooting him"

"Why does flour have to be stained with blood?"

Over 100 have been killed. Every single one of them hungry. Every single one of them has someone waiting for them to come back with the bag of flour.

Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war against innocent civilians. Israel ambushes starving Palestinians and shoots them. Israel is not fighting a war to defend itself. This is another episode of Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza.
