Never let your shadows be black. The shadow's color will always match the background's one. It can be halftone brighter or darker - depends on the lighting you have on the scene, but never goes completely black.
Preserve the colors at any cost. No matter how many additional layers you have above, the original colors must be preserved even after all manipulations.
3. Convert your raster images into smart objects. Resizing such things in default mode = quality loss. Luckily for us, this problem was foreshadowed a long time ago. Convert your non-vector images to smart objects before doing the resizing / warping / perspective transform and enjoy the flawless result!

What do we have for now? First, we have almost written script which is HUGE, believe me. It even had to be subdivided up to 3 parts (one day - one part). Second, we have all appearing characters ripped off the game, rigged, with additional texture editing and prepared to take their rightful place in the render <3

The Valve Texture Format (VTF) isย the proprietary texture format used by the Source engine. In case some of you might want to convert mdl files for Sims 4.
I firstly discovered this problem a long time ago. I was just about to snap a bake button when I saw that the texture is half-transparent in the UV editor. Model is different but the texture looked something like it:
"Why? How? The model looks fine. It has no visible transparency." It does indeed, but when you try baking VTF something strange happens. Baked texture looks like someone lowed down the brightness and half of it gone completely black. So how do we avoid baking transparency channel? Quite simply, honestly.
Save all the VTF textures you are going to bake in TARGA (TGA) format. Why not png / jpeg? Because only a TGA format preserves the transparency channel we need. Another way of doing it - use VTF Edit utility.
Open our exported TGA in Photoshop (or any other image editor that can work with channels)
Go to channels. What do we have here? An alpha channel. This is what cause our texture to darken. Simply delete it.
Now you can save edited texture in any format comfortable to work with.

Why would anyone decide only upper front fangs being made out of solid geometry is a good idea ๐๐ While the rest inner mouth area is like "hi i'm just see-through pixels" ๐ญ It does indeed reduce polycount significantly and I'm sure the point was to remove as many as possible but dear lord Sims 4 hates transparency

tomorrow the russian government is gonna add a few new laws in the criminal code:
1) if youโre posting a fake (fake is literally anything that doesnโt say the offical state information) - itโs a crime = you can go to jail

At age of 12 I was making money by hacking a poorly secured online game. Not so special talent considering that all materials allowing me to use that hacking utility were in public but still. What else? My special talent is to scare everybody with thin pale skin and bulging blue-green veins all around my body ๐๐

I've grown amongst domesticated birds - chickens and ducks (we didn't eat them, so they were way more like a real pets). Had two of them as a pets in childhood (raised in my room like a cat or something ๐) , one is still alive by the way despite how many years have passed
