This is a tribute to MCU Black Widow and Princess Allura from Voltron Legendary Defender. They deserve better than the BS handed to them.

Well, y’all, I lost again.

I still haven’t seen the Avengers Endgame yet but in this movie and the MCU, Romanogers isn’t canon in this universe when Black Widow sacrificed herself for Hawkeye to get the soul stone and Captain America decided to stay in the past to be with Peggy Carter. So I’ve taken another L. But I’ve been through that before when it comes to ships in TV and movies. Lion-O didn’t end up with Cheetara in Thundercats 2011, Superman and Wonder Woman’s romantic relationship along with New 52 got retconned in favor of that dreaded Rebirth and my all time favorite Kallura along with all the ships didn’t end up the endgame, the moment when Princess Allura briefly dated Lance and then sacrificed herself to save the universe and all of reality. I guess when it comes to the ships I like, I ended up losing. The only time I won is when Korrasami became canon on the Legend of Korra in 2014. To be honest, I don’t know what to say anymore at this point. The only way I’ll keep those ships alive is through fanfic. Until they make more shows where my favorite ships will be the endgame in the future, they’ll always be canon in my head and more importantly, my heart. Until next time....

After seeing the promos and commercials of Avengers Endgame movie, I became excited, anxious and frightened at the same time. And those damn spoilers before the movie comes out on April 26 are causing us to get paranoid and emotional in any sort of way and I don’t like it one bit. To those who wanna spoil the movie that caused us to get in our feelings, just don’t.

While not getting my hopes up on Romanogers being canon in the movie, I want Romanogers to be canon because of what happened on Thundercats 2011 and Voltron Legendary Defender because of what happened on that dreaded season 8. Lion-O didn’t end up with Cheetara and Keith and Princess Allura didn’t end up together when she died. So that’s two strikes for me. If Romanogers isn’t canon in the end of the movie, then it’s strike 3 for me. Which means that I’ll admit defeat as a Romanogers shipper. So see y’all when the movie comes out. Peace!

What up fellow Romanogers shippers! We’re days away from the Avengers Endgame and I’m excited and cringing at the same time. And I’m sure that everyone is feeling the same way. That’s I’m presenting the Romanogers bodyswap on Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes called Super Soldier Switch! Here’s the summery.

Captain America and Black Widow accidentally switch bodies when their secret mission to get the Cosmic Cube back from HYDRA went awry. Now they must work together to defeat HYDRA, foil Red Skull's evil plot, get the Cosmic Cube back and revert back to their original bodies. Meanwhile, the Avengers are planning a surprise birthday party for Cap. Romanogers bodyswap. On Hiatus until further notice.

Clois Shippers Are Being Toxic

I don’t know if y’all notice this issue but I’m going to address a Clois elephant in the room. Ever since New 52 and Superwonder has been retconned in favor of Rebirth, the Clois shippers ruthlessly bullied and made fun of us Superwonder shippers and shoving everything all the anti-Superwonder BS right in our faces and down our throats for their own petty reasons and we have done nothing to provoke them. 

They even have the audacity to tell us that the movies Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen are better than the Justice League movies: War and Throne of Atlantis when we didn’t start argument. 

They keep ranting the Lois is a better wife and mother than Diana just to feed their big egos and they also want to laugh at us for shipping Superman with Wonder Woman. 

That is unacceptable.

We can’t let them bully us like that just because our ship is retconned for good. If they wanna ship Clois (which is stale) that’s fine but they should not do that at the expense of Superwonder!

Our ship may not be canon anymore but we will continue to ship Superwonder no matter what. We will always be passionate with our ship, even if DC comics will continue to shove Clois right in our faces and down our throats.

If Clois shippers continue to be toxic with us, let them because we’re better than their BS. As long as Rebirth will last with Wonder Woman being OOC and Clois back in the spotlight, we’ll continue to support Superwonder by not supporting DC comics anymore but reading throwback comics about the Superwonder romance. 

P.S.: DC messed up Wonder Woman’s character because they’re being petty over the success of her movie starring Gal Gadot.

Screw DC and their now anti-Superwonder nonsense! I’m Superwonder shipper til the end of time!

#JUSTICEFORALLURA: a fan project

As season 8 came to a close, signifying the end of Voltron Legendary Defender, a lot of us were shocked, hurt and angry to find the show had chosen to kill of one of their main characters, Princess Allura, after a long trend of having her suffer loss throughout the course of the show.

To have this version of Princess Allura be dark skinned meant something significant to many fans of color who often are not granted the ability to see themselves in the media they consume, let alone in such a significant role among a diverse cast. By choosing to kill off the only iteration of Allura where she is a WOC, the show slipped into a very tired and unfortunate trope which tells women of color they are meant to suffer, sacrifice, and either die or end up alone. There are many examples of this in media (Example: Abbie Miller- Sleepy Hollow) and it is disappointing for many fans to see the same fate happen to Allura and especially in a way that was senseless, unnecessary and seemingly only used as shock value to elicit an emotional response from viewers.

Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to reach out to Dreamworks/WEP to make our voices heard.

The point of this is not to get a rewrite or a release of an “original” season they supposedly kept from us. The damage has already been done. The point is to express disappoint at the season they chose to release and hope that by expressing our thoughts and feelings on this they will address our concerns, take this knowledge into future projects and learn that diversity isn’t just simply inclusion (in the rare instances that it’s given), but also respect for those characters and the communities they represent.

With that being said, we are taking in letters and/or 15-20 video comments to submit to Dreamworks and World Event Productions.

SUGGESTIONS FOR YOUR LETTER AND/OR VIDEO:

Be clear and concise on the reasons why the killing of Allura’s character is concerning. Avoid swearing, “yelling” or threatening. We want to be taken seriously rather than come off as ranting from a “toxic” fan.

You may bring up shipping but please keep it in the context of how Allura’s romantic arcs were simply used as plot devices and/or drama, often at Allura’s detriment. You may also take this time to explain the significance in which the one instance where Allura is a WOC is the one time she does not end up with the main male lead. Please remember, this is about Allura so stay focused on the writing/handling of these arcs. This isn’t about Lance, Lotor, Shiro or whomever else you hoped she would end up with. You may also explain why the “strong independent female who doesn’t need a man” trope actually negatively impacts WOC characters versus white female characters.

You may bring up your disappointment in how her character was mishandled overall, not just season 8. For example, her backstory was glossed over in comparison to other characters.

If you are a POC/WOC fan please share your personal stories/experiences about representation and inclusion in the media you consume and how Allura’s death has affected you. They need to hear how Allura’s death was perceived and the message it sends to the community she represented. If you’re not POC but still have stories to share please do.

🔥 LANCE ROASTS

I’m so hopped up on meds that I can’t fucking read

Hooo boy *rubs hands together* 

Lance has literally no angst. He’s insecure? Well you know what? Insecurities are the most common thing when you’re a teenager, he’s not special in that regard

I’ll get roasted on this one but his possessive jealousy towards Allura is not healthy. Keith, Matt, and Lotor have all fallen prey to it and he has no right to act the way he does. Allura deserves better. 

He bullies Keith, there’s no sugar-coating that. Keith is better than him at something and he’s rude to the guy. Deflate your ego son and apologize to him, that’d be nice. Because if he’d said what he said to Keith about wanting to usurp the leadership position when he’s clearly grieving, he’d be missing a few teeth, just saying. It’s not sexual tension, it’s just Lance being an asshole. 

Everyone calls Keith a hot-head but I’ll tell you right now, Keith isn’t the one starting fights for literally no reason. That would be Lance. 

Black Paladin Lance sucks. He’s not mature enough nor does he seem to understand how much of a heavy burden the position is. There’s nothing fresh or exciting about him leading, he’d hate it once he realized what the position means. Yes I know he’s grown A LOT but he’s a better second in command. You can see him being that for Keith and to an extent Shiro. 

I’m fine with bi or pan Lance, but that would still mean that he has a STRONG preference to women. 

5x02: He literally tried to send Lotor to his death because of his boner and jealousy. That is probably the most monstrous thing he’s ever said so I don’t wanna hear how pure or good he is. He’s done and said some legitimately fucked up things and I’m so tired of this fandom overlooking it but ripping into another character for doing that one thing that one time 

This is more of a roast for his rabid stans: He’s not a depressed and sad boy, just because he’s a POC doesn’t exempt him from criticism, and aside from him needing to do something about his jealousy problems…he doesn’t need much else. He’s second-in-command, has a sword, very skilled at long-range, and he’s the jack of all trades. He’s an every man. Nothing wrong with that.

Kallura/Plance Season 8 Fanfic Challenge/Request

So with that being said, I challenge/request someone to do a Kallura/Plance fanfic take on season 8 with Keith and Allura resolving their issues with each other and develop their relationship into romance and after the final battle, Allura survives after sacrificing herself to save the universe and she and Keith getting married becoming the King & Queen of the Galra and Alteans bringing peace and prosperity to the entire universe. And on that, find a love interest for Romelle. She could be either straight, lesbian or bisexual.

My Reaction to VLD Season 8.

I have to be completely honest with all y’all. When the 8th season of Voltron Legendary Defender came out, I skipped it to the final episode and boy was I pissed, angry, sad and heartbroken. The entire show became another reboot epic fail like Thundercats 2011. Not only that Kallura didn’t become canon in the end when the creators of the show paired Allura with Lance, they killed her off for their own petty reasons. In the end of the Shipping Wars, it turned out that all ships are casualties and the fandom lose. So yeah, we took a major L. Nobody wins in the end.

I decided that from now on until someone makes another Voltron cartoon that’ll top that monstrosity that is Voltron Legendary Defender, I’ll stick with the original Voltron from the 80′s and Go Lion from Japan because they are a million times better than that damn reboot from Netflix because seasons from 4 all the way to the 8 turned it into biggest piece of crap and all the characters have been botched very badly, mainly Keith and Allura! Sorry. I’m just gettin’ it out of my system.

And yeah, we were wrong for being toxic fans over characters and ships. One day, we’ll be better human beings and fans. Season 8 has been our punishment for behaving the way we did. We’ll try hard to make sure that it never happens again. So....our bad!

And to Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos, I must speak on behalf of the Voltron fandom since 1984 when I say that you didn’t ruin our childhood,both of y’all broke all of our hearts and make us love, cherish and appreciated the original Voltron Defender Of The Universe even more because it’ll always be better than your creation Voltron Legendary Defender. Thanks but no thanks. And you get millions of middle fingers and smiles from us as our way of showing how much we appreciated y’all and how much effort you put into it. Nuff said.

I’d like to get this off my chest

Ever since I watched the 7th season of Voltron Legendary Defender, I’ve been thinking about Kallura while hoping that they would develop and improve their relationship and hoping that Keith and Allura would kiss each other in the lips in the end despite the creators and writers pushing for Allurance but I need to be completely honest with you. The main reason why I wanted Kallura to be canon because of what happened with the Thundercats 2011.

On that show, I wanted Lion-O and Cheetara to be canon but instead the creators put her with Tygra in the end. That’s where the show went downhill and the characters suffered character assassinations after the other with Pumyra betraying Lion-O in the end which led to show’s fatal demise. After hearing about what the creators had in store for season 2, I didn’t like it one bit and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Which is why I’m planning to write a fanfic about my take on season 2.

After watching VLD, I was hoping that it would different as so far it lived up to my expectation until Keith left the team on season 4. I only watched seasons 4 and 5 once and never watched them again until Keith came back in season 6 as the Paladin of the Black Lion. I’ve watched season 7 and despite some of the Kallura moments, the creators pushed hard for Allurance and I’ve suffered for it because I desperately wanted Keith and Allura to be romantic and hopefully he’ll give her a wholehearted apology for all the mean things he said to her about Alfor and Lotor. While at the same time, I’ve maintained the fact that fighting and bullying people over ships can only make things worse, which is why I refuse to bash over ships while hoping and praying that Kallura will be canon like all the Voltron incarnations in the past, like it’s a tradition. 

So I’ll tell you what. If Kallura is canon on VLD, I’ll be happy. If not, me and my fellow Kallura shippers will admit defeat and tell the world that we’ve done our best. That’s all I can say for now. And promise you that none of us fans will survive season 8.

I Must Confess

I’ve watched the 7th season of Voltron Legendary Defender and I gotta say that it was good. The action scenes were second to none but the final episode of the season was extremely intense and nail biting. But there are some positives and negatives.

Positives: Keith’s leadership is on point and improved since he came back, Keith’s bond with his mom Krolia is complete, Hunk shined this season, Lance’s sister Veronica shined as well, Commander Iverson redeemed himself by making amends to Keith and Shiro, Acxa is now one of the good guys, Shiro is now Captain of the Atlas and the Pal. The action scenes, animation and story telling are amazing as usual. Oh and Coran, he continues to be charismatic and resourceful as well. 

Negatives: Top Officers of the Galaxy Garrison are being boo boo heads while hiding the truth about Galra Invasion of earth (mainly the Admiral who turned out to be the traitor until she was double crossed by Sendak, only to redeem herself by fighting back until she died. Ain’t that a bitch?), Keith said mean things about Alfor and letting Lotor in their ranks to Allura (which is OOC of him and he has yet to personally apologize to her in season 8) but he apologized to his fellow Paladins after that, the LGBT community were being queerbaited when it comes to Shiro and Adam and as far as pairings are concerned, let’s just say that the creators of the show pulled the fast one on us (as much as I strongly ship Kallura, they insisted on Allurance and Keith/Acxa but I refuse to give up on Kallura. Keith and Allura have one more season to develop their relationship into romance. Some of y’all lost hope but I won’t. We must hold on to hope. We may suffer for now until season 8.)

That’s all I can say for now. Right now, I need a hug because I’m sad that Keith and Allura aren’t canon this season. Yet. But like I said before, we can’t give up on Kallura. And don’t worry, I won’t talk bad about your favorite ship. At least, I’m happy that Hunay is canon and I hope that Romelle will find a love interest in season 8.
