I made a post about color correspondences before, but I looked back on it and decided I could have done a little better. That being said, here is a more updated list of color correspondences based on my own beliefs and what has been working for me. Not too much was added, but every color has something a little different compared to what my last color correspondences post did.
I determine color correspondences based on psychology as well as folklore and superstitions from the region I'm from. I also must give the disclaimer that I do not believe white is an all-purpose color that can replace all other colors. That feels like a very misleading thing to me. I do, however, believe that some colors can be used for similar purposes depending on what you're looking for in your results.
The terms before the || will be the non-baneful correspondences, and the terms after the || will be the baneful correspondences.
➳ White: Purification, Peace, Clarity, New Beginnings, Reflection, Cleansing || Isolation, Emptiness, Coldness
➳ Grey: Neutrality, Balance, Compromise, Intelligence || Depression, Detachment, Indecision
➳ Black: Protection, Banishment, Power, Authority || Fear, Nervousness, Paranoia
➳ Brown: Grounding, Strength, Stability, Warmth, Fertility || Materialism, Stingy, Dullness
➳ Blue: Communication, Truth, Wisdom, Calm, Loyalty || Deceit, Manipulation, Predictability
➳ Green: Abundance, Prosperity, Growth, Wealth, Luck || Envy, Greed, Insecurity
➳ Yellow: Optimism, Joy, Confidence, Creativity || Cowardly, Egotism, Impulsiveness
➳ Orange: Vitality, Adventure, Friendship, Attention || Indulgent, Cynical, Arrogance
➳ Red: Passion, Assertiveness, Determination, Courage, Desire, Romance || Aggression, Violence, Obsession
➳ Pink: Compassion, Nurturing, Hope, Innocence || Weakness, Naïve, Childish
➳ Purple: Inspiration, Individuality, Intuition, Spirituality || Delusion, Illusion, Fragility
➳ Gold: Success, Charisma, Generosity || Egocentric
➳ Silver: Reflection, Illumination, Enlightenment || Lonely
As I mentioned earlier, I don't believe that white is an all-purpose color (or any color, really). I do believe that some colors can be used in place of another, so long as they have meanings that are similar.
Here are some examples.
➳ Money: Green, Gold
➳ Creativity: Orange, Yellow
➳ Wisdom: Blue, Purple, Grey
➳ Healing: White, Blue
➳ Self-Love: Pink, Red
Resources for Practitioners
As it's seen on the blog, there are a lot of philosophies and texts that go into my practice. It can be very confusing and taxing to understand it all, I get it! So, this post is my best attempt at making it easier for everyone regardless of how much experience you may have, I hope this helps! If you cannot afford these books, a quick google search for PDF's can help you! I do not want TOS strike for sharing PDFs. If able, you may support the original author's work that you feel correct for you! ^^
Note: I do not condone and/or advocate for the beliefs & actions of the authors. Some texts are foundational & others are UPG adjacent. Do not take the recommendations as means to base morals & ethics, as they are product of their time. My opinions are my own.
The Throne of Saturn by Elihu Vedder
♡ Multum amor ♡
Things that have helped me feel closer to my deities:
Praying before their altars (bonus points if you write your own)
Read books other than their myths (books you think they’d enjoy themselves)
Meditating with them
Learn about magickal subjects related to them
Dedicate a journal for notes and document experiences you have with that deity (including moments where they’ve assisted you and any divination conversations you’ve had with them)
Listen to their messages and follow through with them
Light incense that reminds you of them
Find artwork that feels like that deity and hang, print or save them
Divination Methods (Runes, Tarot, Pendulums, Bone Throwing, etc.)
Watch content on different subjects they’re related to (documentaries on death, relationships, crime, etc.)
Dedicate, care, and/or name pets, plants, plushies, etc to them
Learn not just their pantheon and myths but the culture that influenced them
Wear jewelry dedicated to them (bonus if you have that deity enchant them with protection)
Share meals with them
Thinking of them in passing (like “hey that thing reminds me of *insert deity*”)
Talk casually at their altars and give them an itinerary of your day
Define your relationship with that deity and refer to them accordingly (if its a more formal/in reverence, use a formal title. if it’s warm/personal, use an affectionate name.)
Easy Curses for Beginners
Here are some simple yet unusual curses for beginners. These curses are low-energy, easy to perform, and require minimal tools. They are subtle and perfect for those just starting their baneful practice, but still pack a punch. Always be mindful of your intentions—curses can carry karmic or energetic consequences. Always start the curse process by protecting yourself and end it by cleansing yourself. Remember to do your own research before using baneful magick.
Causes a person’s luck, relationships, or finances to decay over time.
Needed:
• A piece of fruit (apple, orange, etc.)
• A slip of paper
• A black pen
• A dark place (cupboard, drawer, or under the bed)
Instructions:
Write the target’s name on the paper. Place the paper inside or beneath the fruit. Hold the fruit and focus on your intent—imagine the person’s life slowly rotting just like the fruit will. Place the fruit in a hidden, dark place and leave it to decay. Once fully rotted, dispose of it far from your home.
Traps a person in misfortune, confusion, or stagnation. The target experiences obstacles, delays, and problems that keep them from progressing in life.
Needed:
• A piece of black thread or string (12 inches long)
• Your voice and breath
Instructions:
Hold the string in your hands and focus on the target. With each knot you tie, say a phrase like:
• "With this knot, I trap your fate."
• "With this tie, your plans fall apart."
Tie nine knots while envisioning the person becoming stuck, unable to move forward in life. Hide or bury the thread somewhere secret.
Makes a person’s words return to them, causing gossipers or liars to suffer their own consequences. Their own words work against them—exposing their lies, making people distrust them, or causing them to face social backlash.
Needed:
• A mirror (small handheld one works best)
• A marker or lipstick
• The person’s name (or just "liar," "gossip," etc.)
Instructions:
Write their name (or a word representing their offense) on the mirror. Hold the mirror and say:
"What you say returns to you, every lie and every word untrue."
Place the mirror facing a wall or inside a dark drawer, so their energy is reflected back to them.
Causes a person’s stability to fall apart—relationships, money, confidence, or mental clarity. The target experiences instability, whether emotional, financial, or personal.
Needed:
• A raw egg
• A marker
• A place to smash the egg (outside, near their path, or a trash bin)
Instructions:
Write the person’s name on the egg. Hold it and whisper your curse into it, such as:
"May your life crack like this shell."
Imagine their stability shattering like the egg will. Smash it on the ground or in a trash bin.
Causes a person to lose focus, forget things, or make mistakes. They struggle with their memory, lose track of things, and make more mistakes.
Needed:
• A black candle
• A piece of paper
• A pencil
Instructions:
Write the target’s name on the paper. Light the black candle and hold the paper over the flame (don’t burn it yet). Whisper:
"Like a shadow slipping through the cracks, your mind stumbles, your focus lacks."
Let a few drops of wax fall on the name, then crumple the paper. Blow out the candle and throw the paper in a busy place (so their energy is scattered).
Causes confusion, indecision, and emotional instability. The target struggles to understand what's happening and make the right choices.
Needed:
• Two twigs or sticks
• A piece of string
• A crossroads or a place where two paths split
Instructions:
Tie the two sticks together at one end, so they form a V shape (symbolizing a forked path). Hold them in your hands and say:
"Your choices split, your path unclear, may confusion follow near."
Leave the sticks at a crossroads or place where two paths meet.
Causes a person’s words (spoken or written) to be misunderstood, ignored, or turned against them. Everything they say becomes misinterpreted, loses power, or backfires.
Needed:
• A pen
• A piece of paper
• A cup of water or ink
Instructions:
Write the person’s name and a word representing their harmful speech (ie: “lies,” “gossip,” “manipulation”). Hold the paper and whisper:
"Your words twist, your message lost, what you say will bear the cost."
Drop the paper into the water or ink and let the words dissolve. Dispose of the soaked paper in running water (sink, river, or toilet).
The person experiences social isolation—people ignore them, avoid them, or lose interest in them. This will eventually lead to profound loneliness.
Needed:
• A small ice cube
• A photo of the person (or just their name written on paper)
• A freezer
Instructions:
Place the ice cube on top of their name or photo. Whisper:
"Like ice, you freeze in place. No warmth, no friends, no welcome space."
Wrap the paper/photo in a piece of cloth or plastic and place it in the freezer.
Causes a collapse in a person’s relationships, home life, or work environment. The target experiences instability in their personal life making it harder for them to maintain relationships or stability.
Needed:
• A small handful of graveyard dirt
• A piece of paper
• A black pen
Instructions:
Write the person’s name on the paper. Hold the dirt in your hand and whisper:
"Your foundation weakens, your roots unsteady. That which holds you crumbles already."
Sprinkle the dirt over the paper and then fold it, with the dirt inside, like a little packet. Throw into running water or the rubble of a collapsed building.

Unpopular Opinion: Humans are no less worthy of this Earth than any other species
Humans are not the Big Bad™
Humans have definitely causing climate change, they're also plenty fighting it x
Humans have caused extinctions, we are also a species that can cooperate together to specifically save species from that fate
Removing humans from an area doesn't make it pristine wilderness, thats anti-indigenous bullshit
Humans are of this Earth. Not above it. Not beside it. A part of it.
SELF-REFLECTION SPREAD
I mostly use tarot as a tool for personal introspection. Even people who don’t believe in divination of any kind can use tarot as an aid to explore different perspectives to a situation or even their own psyche. These are some things which I believe I need to confront about myself before achieving any real personal growth.
1. FIXATE
What are the parts of yourself or your life that you tend to get hung up about. Confronting yourself can be good, but overly obsessing on a particular problem or aspect of yourself can inhibit growth.
2. IGNORE
Conversely, what do you tend to push to the side. This can go both ways: some are unable to see the good things in themselves or their lives, while others gloss over their faults and avoid addressing their problems.
3. FALSE
What are the things we think to be true about ourselves, or our lives that are not. These are often negative qualities, a lot of people think they are less capable, less deserving or less worthy than they really are.
4. DECIPHER
What about ourselves have we yet to understand. Everyone has some things about themselves which they don’t yet fully grasp or cannot quite put to words.
5. WANT
What do we most want from ourselves and our lives. The things we wish were more true about ourselves or that we aspire to be. This is a long process to achieve, and part of that is learning that we can’t just skip to this step, we need to deal with the other parts of ourselves too, including the undesirable parts, before we can achieve true personal growth.
Note: Tarot is not a substitute for professional counselling and other forms of licensed therapy! Feel free to use it as a complimentary practice (unless otherwise advised), but do not rely on it as your sole means of treatment if you believe you need professional counselling.
