I’m VERY excited to show you the back cover of Speak Now (my version) including the vault tracks and collaborations with Hayley Williams from Paramore and Fall Out Boy. Since Speak Now was all about my songwriting, I decided to go to the artists who I feel influenced me most powerfully as a lyricist at that time and ask them to sing on the album. I think something so funny about the LOTR books is that when Gandalf told Frodo about the fact that Gollum used to be a hobbit, and Frodo had his shocked and frustrated reaction, Gandalf was like “well it was obvious, it was clear in his love of riddles” and Frodo had to be like “you know liking riddles isn’t exclusive to hobbits, right?”
