Spoiler warning for UA traitor

Something I realized about the mangas because of my own collection is that on the spine of every one of the mangas, the character is looking up at the reader, except for one. Volume 10. Who’s on the spine of volume 10? Aoyama. Instead of looking up at the reader with his usual kind of expression, like everyone else, he looks down in an almost ashamed expression. Kinda feels like this was done on purpose.

Panel 1: kid on the right wearing a backpack walking. Panel 2: Kid on the right turns, noticing their friend is gone, and stops walking. Panel 3: kid on the right is standing a couple paces behind, looking down at the ground with their hands gripping the straps of their backpack. Kid on the right has stopped and turned around. They say, "what's wrong?"

Panel 1: kid on the left looks downcast and says, "I don't wanna go to school. It's scary." Panel 2: kid on the right walks up beside kid on the left. Panel 3: Kid on the right says, "yeah, it is." Panel 4: kid on the left says, "But we have to go."

Panel 1: kid on the right stares. Panel 2: kid on the right starts to take off their backpack. Panel 3: Kid on the left is staring down at nothing. Panel 4: something catches their attention and the kid on the left looks up towards their friend. Panel 5: The kid on the right says, "here, give me your hand." They hold out their hand towards the kid on the left and holds an uncapped permanent marker in their other hand.

Panel 1: Kid on the right holds the kid on the left's hand as they writes in it. Their backpack leans up against their leg as it rests against the ground. They say, "I'm gonna write the biggest, strongest thing I know on your hand so you can take it to class. Panel 2: kid on the left asks, "What is it? A cassowary?" Panel 3: Kid on the right says from off-page as the kid on the left covers their face and turns away, "Stronger than that. But you can't peek right now. You can only look when you get reeeeeally scared." Kid on the left says, "why?"

kid on the right says from off-page, "The trick is that when you know what it is it'll be so big and so strong, you won't be able to be as scared anymore." Panel 1: kid on the left's hand being held by the kid on the right as they continue writing on it with a permanent marker. Panel 2: kid on the right closing the kid on the left's hand for them. Kid on the right says, "So you gotta save it." Bottom of the page is black gradient.

The kid on the left floats in the void, sitting at their desk with their hands folded and looking down. They get smaller as they begin to hunch down and rotate in further iterations of themselves down the page until they have their face in their arms. It looks like they're floating off.

Panel 2: The kid on the left's eyes have tears dripping from them as they peek up from behind their hands.

had this idea stuck in my head for a while and thats the MHA x BMC Au. With Denki being Jeremy. Kirishima was going to take the place as Micheal though I Thought that it would be cooler if he was Rich due to the fact Rich used to be a loser, and Kirishima’s Middle school self kind of matched that image.

also the squip was a hard choice but I got stuck with the idea that villain Iida would be cool?? anyways this was all made for fun!

Just saw that an artist I admired on here was driven to delete their TOH art because of toxic people and I just wanted to say this:

If you are a TOH stan (I'm hesitant to use the word 'fan') who harasses people because they like Belos in any way, go fuck yourself.

You do NOT have the right to dox, send death threats, harass, demean, or otherwise be an asshole to people because they like a character you don't.

Belos is a FICTIONAL CHARACTER for fuck's sake. It's OK to find him attractive. It's OK to like him as a villain. It's OK to like him as a character in general. It's OK to write fanfic about him, to draw fanart of him, to make AUs where he's a better person. And it's even OK if you relate to him at all, or if you sympathize with him at all for his backstory (I mean, dude grew up an impoverished orphan ffs). None of these things make you a bad person.

There are FAR worse villains out there that don't get anywhere NEAR the same levels of vitriol from their respective fandoms if you so much as express an inkling of interest in them.

If you're a TOH stan who's thinking of harassing me next, just know that I refuse to put up with your bullshit.

I will be forever salty about how they played it safe with Belos.

So afraid to follow through with what they put in place because that meant he was sympathetic and complicated so they just went "Oh, no he's just evil, nothing else."

It's like telling kids they can never be this way if they aren't already. Belos' mindset can literally affect anyone at any age and turn them into monsters. You can fall into the pit of doing bad things because you think you're in the right. A lot of people already do that by taking activism in the wrong direction and harassing others they disagree with. It's people who try to use violence and threats "for the sake of good" against anyone they perceive as their enemy when they're anything but the good guys. You'll often find them trying to speak for others who don't want to be spoken for because they have their own voice and miss the mark entirely.

God forbid he has a sympathetic backstory. God forbid what happened to him makes people think. People are so afraid to have sympathy for the bad guy that it makes them look like freakin' robots who can't think for themselves. It makes me think back to my grandmother's time when people were so fucking afraid of what others thought of them that they didn't do what they thought was right or wanted to do. My life would have been a bit different if my Catholic grandmother didn't worry about what other idiots in the neighborhood thought.

Sympathizing with a bad guy DOESN'T MAKE YOU A BAD PERSON. It says more about you than the bad guy in general. Showing sympathy to someone like Belos shows you have compassion. You realize that nothing in this world is black and white and something drove him to what he currently is today. You're not excusing anything. You're not wishing he had redemption, but that he took different routes in his life and there's nothing you can do about it. You PITY him. Belos can't be redeemed because he's too far gone.

I don't feel bad for saying Belos deserved worse because he did, but I do sympathize with him for his early years considering the only person he cared about up and left. He was a fucking orphan for Christ's sake, he had no one but Caleb, had been taught to be a certain way, and Caleb just does a 180 on him and disappears? You feel nothing for someone who goes through that? You can't tell me to look at it from Caleb's perspective because we didn't GET Caleb's perspective. If we did, MAYBE we wouldn't be at this point, would we?

I wish they had just gone the "he's just evil" route instead of dropping all of that complex crap they put into motion for him knowing they were cut. Why the hell was he a witch hunter with religious undertones if they just going to make him evil and discard everything up until that point when it would have just saved time and effort to just drop it?! I would have believed it more if he was a corrupt member of a church than someone thinking they were actually doing good BY THE CHURCH and the society he was raised in.

Belos was too good of a villain to be wasted like this. The sympathetic background made it angsty and showed that anyone can cross a line if they think they're in the right instead of "Oh, you don't have to worry about that, you aren't that way". Luz was right about feeling complex about the situation because it is complex. She noted that Belos is doing something that would be considered a good thing. The Titan just brushed it off and pulled the whole "Well, it's okay if we do it, but not when he does it, he's not sincere" which is the same message a religious establishment would give you.

You want a non-sympathetic "evil for the sake of evil" villain? Go watch Puss and Boots and observe Jack Horner. Jack Horner embraces his selfishness and knows he's doing bad things. Belos is not it. Just because the writers flubbed his character at the end, doesn't mean he's not a sympathetic villain.

PLS part 2 i NEED this

Comic panels of the cartoon show "The Owl House".
The first picture is from the last episode, as Belos is reforming, except instead of reforming into his adult self, he regresses into a child. He whispers "it's not fair", before saying it again, louder. "It's not fair, it's not fair! I just wanted him BACK".
His back is turned and he is crouched on the ground. Behind him, memories of him and Caleb are displayed.
"It's going to be fine, I promise" Caleb says in one, comforting his little brother. "We will get through this together, Pip", he says in another.

Second part of the comic panels. Belos's child wooden mask fell to the ground. Behind him are displayed more memories of him and his brother, holding the mask he carved. "With this mask..." He puts it on, acting scary. "... Witched are going to be afraid of you!". The You is in italics for emphasis.
In current times, Belos yells, crying "You took him from me!"
More memories are displayed of the two brothers, looking a bit older. Philip says "Come! They're doing another witch hunt!". Caleb replies "Oh.. I'll sit this one out." He seems a bit apologetic. "... But we always go together." Continues Philip. "What, you still scared of going alone, pip?" Caleb looks smugly. "Am not! Fine! I'll go by myself, then!"

Last part of the panels. "All of you witches... You can't win..." Belos, still in his child form, is crying angrily.
Behind him is shown memories of him noticing Caleb in the woods as a witch hunt is happening. Surprised, Philip whispers the name of his brothe. He follows him in the wood, as he sees him talk to a person not shown.
In the last memory, Philip is shown looking sad, reaching a hand toward an arch from which some drops of titan's blood are dripping.
In current times, Belos is looking down at the ground, defeated. He continues. "You took him, because he never, never would have..." It cuts to him, head against the ground. "... left me."

I've always thought he acted like a child...

Also killing him isn't enough, I want to see him break down and cry.
