These are Safe Shorts. They were made by Sandra Seilz after someone attempted to rape her. If the fabric is torn, an alarm will be sounded.

This is the Rape-aXe, invented by a South African doctor by the name of  Sonnet Ehlers. After interviewing a rape victim who wished she had teeth down there, she made this. If someone’s penis is inserted and pulled back out, the teeth will sink in, and can only be removed by a doctor.

The Killer Tampon (couldn’t find a site for it), made by retired anaesthetist Jaap Haumann. When penetration takes place, the sharp end will slice the offending appendage.

What’s so bad about periods

So, I’ve been pulled over a few times in my life. Not many, but a few. And I’ve also been in a couple of cars that got pulled over. And let me tell you, if you were actually doing something wrong, the officer doesn’t make any small talk, just straight into “I clocked you doing 70 in a 55.” The only time I’ve ever gotten the “do you know why I pulled you over?” was the time when I wasn’t doing anything wrong, and I got let go even though he insisted to the end that I was doing 87 in a 70 (white privilege at work).

“Do you know why I pulled you over?” is a trap. It means there’s a good chance the officer doesn’t actually have a good reason to ticket you, and is trying to get you to waive your 5th Amendment rights and incriminate yourself. If you make a guess, that’s a confession of guilt.

But there’s another trap, that I’ve heard of but haven’t yet experienced. It’s “do you know how fast you were going?” With that one, they’re hoping you’ll say no, because then they can name whatever speed they want – you just said you didn’t know how fast you were going, if you deny the speed they name then you’re lying to them.

Right now Washington, Oregon and California are experiencing one of the worst wildfires to date. The sky is orange and everything smells like a campfire and I'm bad at articulating but it's really serious. Thousands have had to evacuate and lost they're homes in the process. I don't like talking about topical stuff on the blog v often but I'm in the midst of the evacuation zone in Oregon and shits scary. I'm afraid of losing my home and I'm afraid for my family and friends.

Idk what the point is of this post but I feel like not many people outside of the northwest know how bad it is rn cus it's bad. The moment I find donation links I'll link them to this post but I haven't found any yet. And if you're in the northwest rn, please be safe.

Thats right, I said what I said. I listened to his music and honestly its great. There's defiantly room for improvement but over all he has a beautiful voice and shows great potential. But he's 16 years old, he's still learning and I want him to continue making music. Comments are turned off on his videos which I can only guess is because people keep spamming him with rude and mean comments. Even if you dont like him that doesnt mean you can shit on his work and make fun of him. His music isnt perfect obviously in fact here are some of my critiques as a singer myself

My main criticism is that he over stylizes his singing voice, he sings in cursive basically and it does get a little bit on my nerves but he's learning. He's still a kid and that's just how he sings, give him time and he'll learn to grow out of it, hell I used to sing like that. Thats really all I have to say on fixing his music

Now we get onto people not liking his personality or just,, him in general. You dont have to like him but good lord, once again I point out that he is still 16 and in fact, he's my fucking age. Just be nicer to the kid because god damn some of y'all are being total pricks. Have some picks of our boy because I said so

Oh my fuck, thank you! When the season 2 trailer came out so many people said that "his music ruined it" or "It'll never be the same" which is ridiculous. I thought calling a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD cringy for expressing his creativity would stay in the fandom of old. Along with it being some of the older fans is ridiculous, like he's learning because he's still a CHILD

Okaaay, so I've seen a lot of shit on TikTok about Aidan Gallagher's (the kid who plays 5 on Umbrella Academy) music, most of which are older fans of TUA laughing at him. And I just want to ask like can we not? He's sixteen, a LITERAL FETUS, he's allowed to explore creatively and then GROW from that. If people keep cutting down the flower before it even blooms then of course you're going to be stuck with a boring stem, talent isn't something people are born with. They work on it! Let him make "bad" or "cringy" music and hell, even if he never gets better at it then at least he's enjoying himself right?? Can't people accept that humans can enjoy and partake in an activity without being fucking perfect at it??!!

If you lived on the FUCKING MOON for 4 years, would you be able to shut up about it?

I have a theory about Luther.

So he said that he never had any friends growing up, right, which means he doesn’t have that much of a mental framework for relationships. Thus, he only had his siblings or mainly his siblings to look to for comfort and relationships. Therefore, he fell in love with Allison because he didn’t have any exposure to too many other people besides his siblings.

Also, I think that after his transformation he feels that, similar to nurses marrying their disfigured patients during/right after WWI because it was thought that no one else would be able to see past their disfigurement, he feels that only someone who knew him before his transformation would be able to stomach seeing him as he is now. The man canonically has such poor body/self image that he doesn’t think anyone would love him other than the few people who knew him before the accident.

Thoughts?

I really do understand where people are coming from with their anger at Luther for locking up Vanya - it was a messed up thing to do and in no way defendable.

But did it not make anyone even s l i g h t l y uneasy when Diego decided to strap a picture of her face to a punching bag and punch the shit out of it? When he decided that she didn’t deserve to have a vote? That she was a liability? That she didn’t belong in the Hargreeves home?

Because honestly, I think about that a lot. And the only reason Diego doesn’t get half the shit that Luther does for his outright hostility is his last minute “she’s our sister!” in the 9th episode. Like? Is she your sister, Diego? Because you put a lot of effort into trying to convince her that she’s not.

Luther who KNITS though.

I’ve been learning to knit during lockdown as a way to deal with stress and it works so well. It engages your fine motor skills while still allowing you to zone out to some music or a show and it’s really helped me deal with things better, so all the while I couldn’t stop imagining him really loving it.

And I mean, think of all the cute things Luther would knit for his siblings? Because you better believe Luther would not be interested in knitting things for himself (except maybe a few stylish pairs of gloves to cover his hands with when going out) but damn if he wouldn’t shower his family with knitted presents.

He’d probably make Vanya some of those cool infinity scarfs in different colors and also at least one beanie. Diego definitely gets colorful socks or a sweater because Luther has a sense of humor and enjoys being a little shit. He’d honestly make Klaus tons of things because Klaus definitely would wear all of it and that makes Luther very happy? Allison mostly wears fashionable clothes but Luther makes her one of those really nice blankets she is very protective over and doesn’t let anybody else have since it’s just the coziest. Five would be like “I don’t /need/ anything” so Luther knits him one of those silly cup warmers for his coffee mugs and Five is just “ok yeah fine” and uses it because he’s secretely a sap. knitting for Ben is hard but Luther asks him what he wants anyway and learns to crochet just to make him a octopus plushy.

Favorite Luther Moments

- the first scene we see him in where he’s caring for his plant friend ❤

- when he’s bOPpin and accidentally hits his plane, he’s so gotdarn excited

- *dumps ashes* ………….. :/ 

- *struggles for two solid minutes to get in Five’s van* *breathes deeply* “You okay?”

- When he pushes Allison and Diego out of the way of the falling chandelier. Like…. that moment gives me chills, ngl.

- *beats the shit out of Hazel for touching Vanya and Allison*

- Honestly though he checks up on Five so often, even when he’s busy with other things. All of those moments are wholesome.

- he brought rope to a fuckin fort party?? what did that child think they were going to need rope for im genuinely curious.

- when he’s riding his bike through the halls cuz he’s bored

- “but that’s murder!” bruh. you once THREW a man out of a very large building with minimal effort what is you saying

- oh while we’re on that can I just mention his face when klaus confronts him the morning after the rave? that “omg omg I’m in so much trouble D:” face of disTRESS over losing his v card ?? oh poor boy

- it doesn’t happen often but that Smile™ is cute

- carrying Five all the way back to Diego’s place

- “I’d never been to a rave before and… well it’s kinda nice actually -”

- also why does no one talk about the fact that he just threw a bowling ball across three lanes and got a perfect score? that is Talent my friends

- tbh every moment that his siblings are like “youre not our leader >:[ ” only to later approach him with every issue they have like the videotapes, wanting to be tied up, rescuing Allison, etc. 

- just the blatant contrast between Mission Mode and Brother Mode, like you know his dumb ass is so bad at improvising plans on the spot but he can be the best lending hand when he actually listens ❤
