Oh Duolingo is sick for this šš
At the wedding receptionā¦
Based on @headcanonthingsās cute little post. It amused me, so I had to draw Han being stupid. Heās probably had a little too much of the tihaar, if you know what Iām saying.
Also I wanted to draw Luke and Cobb being friends
someone had to do it. might as well be me
EDIT: you can get it as a sticker now
The last time they met vs. meeting again
Making Din and Luke fall in love is the best plotline The Mandalorian can take.
I can imagine it so vividly it's like I've already seen it the show. Din being able to confide in the person who shares so much of his struggles, who's seen him at his most vulnerable, who possesses wisdom beyond his years. Luke finding solace in the person who doesn't know about his exploits, who doesn't care once he learns, who is similarly burdened with the task of reviving his culture.
Luke is tempted to rewrite the Jedi code, to make it less strict, to be a Jedi like his father before him. Luke falls in love and feels pulled between duty and selfish desire; he understands once more how his father fell. He falls in love and realizes with horror just how far he is willing to go for Din. It gives him insight on why the strict no marriage rule was written in the first place.
Although his father could have revoked his oath, Luke tells Din, he, the last Jedi, does not get that choice.
Din is tempted to escape his duty as the king, and at times, he does ā takes his starfighter to Yavin IV and stops answering the comm. Although Din has advisors, like Bo-Katan and the Armorer, only Luke's advice is truly helpful. They spar and meditate, which takes the mind off kingly duties. They also kiss. They also take care of each other. It doesn't last long, but Din walks away having learned the Jedi wisdom on how to let go.
Luke makes Din a better person, just like Grogu did. He also makes him a better king.
Dinluke could be the new Obitine, except we get to see it this time.
*emerges from 3 straight months of writing* Oh god what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck how does arting work what the fuck what the fuck what the fuckkkkkkk-
I'm so glad I didn't go ahead and post with an earlier fuglier sketch of this which is based on something I scribbled in my tiny sketchbook while at L.A. Comic Con earlier this month. Anyway, warmup sketch for something incredibly ridiculous I hope to work on and finish before the end of the year... among a fuckton of otherthings I hope to finish either before the end of the year or before Season 3 of the Mando Show airs. Rest in fucking pieces, self.
So I had this dream that in tonight episode of #TheLastOfUs you could spot Ellie reading a silly little comic about Din, Luke and Grogu. And I just had to. The scene is from my favorite series on Ao3 āFinding the lost and losing the foundā by @deniigiĀ , itās clever and funny and go read it.
