thought up a monodeku scenario last night and it followed me to today so here we go

It's their second year and its currently prom or some shit idk. some sort of big school party event.

and the two are talking (Monoma and Izuku obviously) and Izuku brings up that he does, in fact, not know how to slow dance.

and Monoma is SHOCKED. appalled even. so naturally, he offers to teach Izuku because he's just so great and amazing.

but he didn't exactly think about all the physical contact that is involved with slow dancing, so when Izuku has to put his hand on his waist Monoma just freezes.

he's gay. he's panicking. boy oh boy is he panicking.

or like since Aoyama isnt canonly French (said by his classmates ie "dude ur not even french") monoma just gives him shit for it all the time.

What BNHA Got Wrong: In-Universe Rules

So I’m making good on my word on making this a series of listing things that this series got wrong.

And this time it’s in-universe rules.

When it comes to creating a fictional world, of course you’re gonna need a set of rules for your universe so you would know how to avoid plot holes and helping things make sense. Such as limits to certain powers and the extent of what they be or even do.

But as the title implies… BNHA doesn’t really do this very well.

Pointing at the most obvious issue with this. The costume designs.

Mirio is allowed to have a hero costume that can fade into things with him to avoid him being stripped naked in public, yet Momo isn’t allowed to have one that can decently cover her and allow the items she makes to phase through to avoid tearing.

The fucking sexualization in this series I swear…

Then there’s the extention of quirks and what they can do. Some quirks are said to have certain limits that if reached will leave the person vulnerable. Such as Shoto almost freezing himself from using his ice half too much, or Izuku breaking a bone from going over the maximum percentage he can use.

But then we have Katsuki Bakugou, who supposedly DOESN’T have any limits when using his explosions and just freely use it whenever he wants! Fuck the logic! He’s the perfect hero to be number one if he never gets tired or suffers anything from using his quirk too much!

FUCK ME FOR THINKING ABOUT THIS!!

Sorry, but overall the series to have a set of in-universe rules as it’s inconsistent for some characters and just doesn’t exist for others.

Monodeku headcannon where Monoma is partially French. and can speak French.

and he will insult, compliment and like basically confess his love to Izuku IN FRENCH since he doesn't speak it.

maybe in year two Midoriya takes a French class and things get a little interesting.

Monodeku royalty AU where Monoma has been a wealthy prince of his kingdom for a while now. he's not the best, wealthiest prince around but he's well established and that's okay with him

until a commoner gets adopted into his neighboring kingdom's royal family.

this boy, Izuku, being poor basically all of his life knows almost nothing about being a prince.

and yet, somehow, he grows to be even more popular and wealthy than Monoma and multiple other kingdoms combined, and it leaves Neito beyond frustrated.

how could this boy, who has no knowledge of royal mannerisms or traditions become so popular in such a short time, while Monoma has spent his entire life working and dragging himself up to where he is now?

It's not fair, and Neito despises him for it. he wants absolutely nothing to do with him or his future kingdom.

that was, until, he met him in person for the first time ever.

this is another special interest one so get ready

Another one of monoma's special interests is FISH. (and marine life but mostly fish.) I have no canon reason why i chose this. i just felt like it fit him.

He absolutely loves fish. he loves the way they look and their dopey faces, he loves how many different kinds there are, he loves learning about specific breeds diets and behaviors and all that junk.

he absolutely owns and takes care of some big ass tanks back at home too.

i feel like Deku/Monoma works bc Monoma acts kinda like Bakugo, except he doesn't think he's any good but values others quirks and not his own. Monoma preaches how class B is the best not himself Monoma doesn't think he is the best he honestly hates himself. He doesnt think his quirk is any good. I don't know if you remember or seen in but in the movie with Rody on it when Rody said "Oh my quirk isn't that special it's lame" and he thought Deku wouldn't wanna hear about it Deku almost immediately said "There is no such thing as a lame quirk and i wanna hear about all quirks cause all quirks are amazing do not slander yourself" not exactly like that but you get what im saying. So Deku would be the one to left Monoma up in that aspect tell him he's worth something more than what he believes he is.

omg yes! i definitely think they can have a similar vibe to bkdk without all the childhood background and trauma!!

I like this route, monoma has a confident facade but honestly is a bit insecure about his quirk and questioning his role as a hero. But, our sweet ray of sunshine izuku is there to reassure him any day that he thinks his quirk is amazing and that he will be a great hero someday

I'm thinking about how they could fall in love, obviously monoma falls first and he's very confused by the feelings and tries to mask them with rudeness but deku is just so cute!! he can't resist!! For Izuku I think it would take a bit more, becoming friends would come first so he can realize monoma is actually great company and he makes him laugh and feel good, the feelings switch naturally and it would make sense to be in love.

give me your thoughts on how their dynamics could be!! I'm getting invested in this

Midoriya, tetsutetsu, kendou, monoma, setsuna friendship is something so necessary as well like. they mean the world to me.

Also aoyama and midoriya friendship because theyre just. yeah.

little monodeku senario ive been thinking about for awhile where monoma is like SUUPER tired from like pulling an all-nighter for a test or something

but izuku and him pass eachother in the hall so izuku waves at him

and since monoma is kinda out of it he just smiles the sweetest smile hes ever smiled at midoriya

and midoriya is just caught SO off-guard (in a good way) and ends up thinking about it for the whole day

another fun monoma hc i have is that hes SUPER flexible.

this idea mostly runs of the fact hes like super nimble?? idk the word to describe it but we have seen him do flips and be mad gracefulll

i like to think he might be a little hypermobile/double jointed in his hands and other places

he likes freaking people out by bending weird

Okay so I have this AU in which Monodeku are pro-heroes and live in an apartment together (with two cats but that's not important) and I also have this headcanon that Izuku can't cook. Anyways Neito shares his boyfriend's attempts at cooking with their friend group (Ochako, Tenya, Tsu, Shouto, Testu and Kendo) and it's just, so horrible. He burnt the mushroom cream soup :(

THIS IS SO SILLY OMG. WAIT. IM ACTUALLY GIGGLING SO BAD. I'm picturing monoma sending pictures of his dinner and going "guess what this is guys" and ochaco goes "IS HE TRYING TO KILL YOU??" And then tetsu sends like twelve articles called 'easy to make recipes for people who can't cook' kendou follows tetsu texts with "all of those look too hard for midoriya to make I'm sorry"

Shouto says that he'd try midoriya meal because he 'put so much effort in it' and then tsu says she already has a coffin ready

Tenya trys to convince everything that it's very admirable how much midriya and trying to cook yet when asked if he'd try midoriyas food he's extremely silent for some strange and totally unusual reason

Midoriya finally texts back "IT WAS A GRILLED CHEESE"

Monoma affectionately calling him his class A boyfriend but it always somehow comes out like a insult, even Deku gets annoyed to a point with Monoma so he often kisses him to shut him up. Deku getting Monoma to open up and tell him about his feelings on his quirk and how Monoma doesn't actually think highly of himself.

monodeku fic idea for its like their second year, and the school festival is coming up so class 1-A and 1-B decide to collab (much to Monoma's protests), and everyone decides it would be fun to host a somewhat professional play with their own script.

Monoma and Izuku get picked for the main rolls, but one of girls (probably mina tbh) makes a joke suggesting "lmao what if we turned this into a romance" and monoma was like

"absolutely not"

but kendo on the other hand, (who, btw, knows monoma has a fat homosexual crush on izuku) was like "actually that's kinda genius"

and she goes on to explain that it could help monoma be less of a petty asshole and monoma KNOWS what she's trying to do atp so he's silently cursing her whole family.

but apparently kendo's reasoning is very convincing and everyone is like "lowkey we should" and monoma is like

"OHGOD NO. MIDYORIA, PLEASE WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS DOMT DO THIS TO ME" but Izuku just says "I mean i'm okay with it, sounds like fun"

so boom, romance play. the two classes start scripting and shit and one day during practice or whatever, Monoma and Izuku are rehearsing a fairly emotional scene and it gets a little TOO real and raw, and it seems like Monoma isn't acting anymore.

monodeku idea where one of the main reasons izuku started to crush on monoma is because of how good he is to Eri. I bet you he comes by sometimes to help watch/take care of her and does an amazing job every time.

I absolutely love monodeku but I'm just thinking about how BAD monoma's inferiority complex is gonna inferiority complex if they ever started dating. like neito is always going to be second to his own LOVER and its lowkey heartbreaking.

a monodeku fic idea where monoma and izuku are fighting a villain together who happens to have a love quirk, and monoma gets hit, but the catch is that the quirk doesn't work if the person affected already has a crush on the person that the quirk was SUPPOSED to make them fall for. so monoma has to make up all these bullshit excuses on why the villains quirk didn't affect him at all.

IT JUST MAKES ME INSANE. I especially love when like one character is just super obviously flirting and way into the other one but the other character is like 'theres NO WAY. I love this monodeku headcannon im abt to talk about but i dont think ive ever actually posted it on here so,, here we go.

monoma has an interest in quirks like izuku does (its one of his special interests, i hc him as autistic).

like he has a VERY organized journal with notes for like A LOT of different people and their quirks (probably color coded and segmented into groups (pro heros, different classes like 1-b and 1-a ect))

I actually had this idea before i shipped monodeku, and this headcanon is really what interested me in their dynamic in the first place (so it has a special little place in my heart)

I feel like that this hc makes sense because it would be super useful for him in battle, especially as a pro hero (his prior knowledge on other pros quirks would make it easier for him to work with them in the future), and that he might just be drawn naturally to learning about quirks because of his quirk.

but i think that the main way monoma and izuku would connect is their mutual interests in quirks and RAAAUGGH i just love them so much.

once monoma stopped like refusing to acknowledge their shared interest and be even a little bit friendly to izuku, they started journaling together and like quirk theorizing and stuff.
