He is leaning forward, and has one hand under his chin and to his chest as an extra flare. There are sparkles flying around him

Image 3 has the two looking at eachother in shock. Sif is bringing their hand down, while Isa has crossed both his arms. It's to note that Sif has a star in their eye

Image 4 has the two looking away from eachother, flustered. Siffrin has their face in their collar, looking shy, with more blush to their cheeks, the star still in their eye. Isabeau has put one arm on his neck awkwardly, he is sweating and looks even more flustered then Siffrin.

He is looking intently over some fabric, one hand gripping it to feel the texture, while the other simply holds the fabric. He has a thoughtfully silly look on his face, with squinted eyes and pursed lips.

The drawing is in color, unlike "In stars and Time's" normal art style. Isabeau's sleeves are bright yellow in color, and the lines at the end of those sleeves are a deep yellow/orange. The belt over his shoulder is the same deep yellow color. His turtleneck is a dark green color. His earrings are green and so is his nail polish. His hair is an orangish red, his skin is light and his eyes are green almost hazel like.
The fabric he is holding is purple.

Bonnie is sitting cross legged about to crack an egg in their cooking pan. They are looking intently at the pan, with furrowed eyebrows saying "Eat the berries, I bite you."
Behind them is Nille with handful of berries, who has turned around to look at bonnie in shock and slight worry. She is kneeled down in front of a bag filled with similar looking berries. The two seem to be in a field clearing.

The drawing is in color, unlike "In stars and Time's" normal art style. Bonnie's hair is a pastel orange with a deep blue accent. Their tanktop is a slightly darker shade or orange, with similar blue accents. Their pants and bracelet are a deep dark shade of blue, while their boots remain black. Their skin is dark, eyes brown, hair black and their earring is a bright blue.

Nille's bandana is a bright blue, with green stitching at the back. Her piercings are all bright yellow in color, her shirt is pastel green. The cloth around her waist is a warm green with yellow switching, while her pants are a dark blown, and her boots are a slightly darker brown. Her gloves seem to have a slightly blue tint to them similar to Bonnie's pants.
The berries she is eating are a bright pink color.

I just wanted to try drawing in the game's artstyle, to see how far I could make it- Considering my normal style looks like this-

A drawing from a previous post. The drawing has a lot of sharp angles and is very dynamic, in contrast to the very soft and round artstyle of the game.

A description of the actual image is not needed as it is nor relevant to the conversation, however, just in case, here it is.

"A Sadness' enemy attack connecting with Siffrin, who's jumped in between the Sadness and Nille to take the hit. They've pushed Nille to the side, a scissor sign in one hand, as she recoils and yells out "SIFFRIN!?"
He doesn't looked phased at all, and has his dagger high up, ready to strike back."

I think I did okay.

And for fun I decided to give everyone my color headcanons cause I've been meaning to for a while-

I HAVE NILLE THINGS IN THE COOKER BUT FOR NOW YOU GET NORMAL ISAT STUFF, COUNT YOUR BLESSINGINGS (I am joking I love them all dearly)

Traditional watercolor painting of a chimera. It has a lion body, a puff adder for a tail and two golden wolf heads. The body is angled to the side. The chimera is mostly tan, the colors close to each species in real life and each section blends into the other seamlessly. Both heads look to the side.

When I read Dungeon Meshi and saw that Laios had created a chimera as a child, I was reminded of my own childhood chimera. I decided to bring it back to life, this time with species that live in the same area (lion, golden wolf and puff adder).

Little me also thought that giving the chimera multiple heads was the coolest!

I couldn't find the original drawing, but I recreated it the best I could. Please, enjoy.

I can't possibly be the only person who had a "ahah I did that" moment with Laios and his chimera, so!! If you created a chimera at any point in your life, please do share them!

hi the wip for this was absolutely not supposed to blow up. why does that have 1k notes. horrifying. anyways!!!! it’s update time baby!!!! 64 new assets this time around!

so that’s what the caption was supposed to be. this update was already pretty damn big and took a ton of time to make!!! and i was finally done!! but then my hand slipped and now we’re at 143 new assets. super sorry for the delay! That Was Not Supposed To Happen.

i’ll go more indepth below the cut, but this update encompasses all menu/profile art for both isat and sasasaap, battle portraits for sasasaap, every single pixel icon in isat (to my knowledge anyways), the dialogue skipping animations, and a few miscellaneous additions.

also i spent too much time on these to put them below the cut so Please God Look At My Icon Resprites I Spent 16 Hours On Them. enjoy!

okay first things first. why the hell is this batch 143 assets. so. i HEAVILY underestimated how many times the menu drawings are used in the games. even removing all of the custom art, it’s still ≈30-40 variations! that’s a lot! and once i finally finished everything, i got Posting Anxiety and somehow convinced myself that attempting Animation And Pixel Art (two things i haven’t done in YEARS) would be easier than writing a normal post. so here we are.

the custom art here is pretty much par for the course at this point. extra menu art for bonnie, extra expressions for the party in act 5, we’ve done this enough times that it’s expected. i am aware that bonnie’s custom menu art gets completely covered by the ui. i kept it in because it’s really funny (and also i didn’t feel like extending the sprite (but then the sasasaap version forced me to extend the sprite anyways so Whartever)).

once again, provided a spritesheet for sasasaap’s battle portraits! i do intend to cover both games, it’s just a slightly lower priority atm. unlike isat though, i’ve got Less (read “No”) experience with sasasaap, so there might be more issues with those assets?? apologies if there are, i’ll try to fix any issues that come up!

the Miscellaneous Additions i mentioned above are the sprites used on the teleport map and the loading screen, which is just a tiny version of the skipping animation. they were pretty small, so i figured i might as well get them out of the way!

not actually much to say about the 75 icons surprisingly! i haven’t done pixel art in about 5 years?? and that’s a Travesty actually these were super fun to make. i did make mockups for the overworld sprites earlier, but they aren’t Officially part of the redraws (yet) so they’re getting posted seperately

and also!! some exciting news!! this project might actually become a Proper Published Mod pretty soon!! i’ve been in contact with someone who’s willing to help me get everything set up, and i’ll be getting a Usable Computer around the end of the year!!!! it’ll still be at least a month before it’s up (i’d like to get the enemy art finished beforehand wauaua) but!!! still exciting!

okay, i think that’s everything relevant to the update!! i Definitely can’t fit all of the relevant assets here lol. but i’ll try my best ! please enjoy !!

i watched one (1) video on how to draw hands that changed my life forever. like. i can suddenly draw hands again

these were all drawn without reference btw. i can just. Understand Hands now (for the most part, im sure theres definitely inaccuracies). im a little baffled
