War & Economy

"War & Economy" is my first big project. It's the game about two city-states at the war with each other. Nobody knows the reason for this war. For their rulers, it's just very exciting game. And you act in the roles of these rulers. But nobody thinks about habitants of these city-states...

Now the game is in closed alpha testing. To take a part, send me a private message.

I plan to start beta testing on Steam and/or Google Play this summer.

Added the control section in the settings menu, but it's read only. I added so little content because i'm currently optimizing the game.

I plan to add a background music, so if you're good at making music, let me know so your tracks can get into my game

Added a full debug menu that can be turned on/off. Also added settings for simultaneous sound playback. Currently turning the debug menu on/off is the only setting on new Other page but i'm going to add more useless settings to this page.

Today i forced myself to work on the game on friday evening, and now i'll show you results of this work:

Now the bot can calculate distance from border diagonally too. This means the work on this algorithm is complete and tomorrow i'll work on building construction algorithm. Hopefully, i'll have its first version by the end of the weekend so i can publish a second post this weekends

PS: yes, there is a bug with an uncalculated green cell. But let's pretend the bot isn't very smart and it also take mistakes 🙏. So it's not a bug, it's a feature!

About the next update: results

Hi there!

The poll i posted the last week is now completed, so let's talk about results, they are weird..:

Tumblr (5 votes): save system - 60%

bots - 40%

Discord (4 votes): save system - 0%

bots - 100%

Maybe the comment about why i should add save system first influenced the results? But i posted screenshot of it on discord, so i don't know.

Anyway let's sum these results:

Save system: (3+0)/9=33.3333333333333333333333333...%

Bots: (2+4)/9=66.66666666666666666666666666666...%

Bots won, so in next update i'll add them

PS: day before yesterday and yesterday i was writing docs for one of my modules to publish it on github. It's so boring. And i'll do the same today and tomorrow (maybe even and day after tomorrow) with my another more complex module 😮‍💨. Good luck me...

Hi!

Now if a tool/attack isn't selected, the description displays info about building built on the selected cell. Also added a description for empty cell. I think it's very informative...

Today, after 1,5 months after the last one, i release a new interim release on my discord server

PS: yes, the description of empty cell is the longest description...
