To the people saying "Jason wouldn't have jumped into tartarus for Piper, like Percy did for Annabeth" as a way to demean him. Jason, plunged into the sky from the grand canyon to catch Piper in the first few pages of the lost hero without even knowing who she was, and without the knowledge that he could fly. so he basically jumped to his death attempting to catch her. In the first few pages of his journey, he didn't mind dying to save Piper, and ironically, that's also what he did in the last few pages of his journey. Y'all just be making the most out of pocket claims abt jason fr
you wanna know what i think about all the time? what my "roman empire" is (to quote an old trend)?
i think about how william brent is doing. how is he? what does he do now that he's not an actor anymore? how's life going for him? And i wonder these things with genuine concern, he's the only member of the cast that completely vanished from the public and honesty I get it, he's obviously not the kind of person that wants to be linked forever to a character he portrait several years ago. i remember that before deleting his social media, there was a period of time where his Instagram's comments were turned off because, years later, people were still calling him "chase." i bet that can get tiring. also, he's a father, so it's probable he just wanted privacy.
in addition, on a recent podcast episode, bradley, jake, and kelli were talking about elite force, and they said they don't even know where william is or how he's doing. i believe, when talking about a possible season two of ef, jake short said "I'd love to do an episode, but we'd have to locate william brent and whatever wilderness he's hiding in."
recently, his wife started posting more on her Instagram account, and from what I see, they are doing well and have a beautiful family together, and honestly, it warms my heart. i hope he's living his best life and he's happy.

Genuinely I think at this point the whole "Daphne was just useless in the original series" is misogyny. She and Fred did the exact same stuff, found the same amount of clues as each other (if anything daphne found more) and were both the "faces" of the gang. Basically the only thing Daphne didn't do that Fred did was drive the van.
And if you include the Scrappy era she did that too and also found more stuff cause she stuck with the gang
The "danger prone" bit is just as much Shaggy as her, and if anything I associate "falling into a trap door" with him over her (not to mention Fred does it IN THE TITLE SEQUENCE). And the whole Kidnapping thing is like. Barely there? It happens with the clown and I can't remember many more instances in WAY.
Anyways all of this to say we have no need for plotlines in Scooby-Doo films where Daphne "works to have a place in the gang" SHE HAS ONE SHE'S THEIR FRIEND AND SHE FINDS CLUES AND SHE CAN DO ANYTHING WITH LIMITED RESOURCES
Guess who's desperately trying to find a site to rewatch Generator Rex but always end up with the page filled with sus popups?
You know, I've seen plenty of comments about "Descendants should have been a young adult TV series!" and... I dunno how I feel about that.
Are there concepts that could use exploring much better geared towards an older audience? Sure.
But would it be the same without silly costumes, brightly-colored hair, stupid (affectionate) songs and teenage drama? All of which I doubt would be allowed in a grimdark teenage action/fantasy series like a bunch of us keep wanting? I doubt that.
I think it being a DCOM is a genuine part of its charm, and if it had become something like Shadowhunters, Once Upon a Time or Fate or even just something that would run on Freeform, all the fun would have been drained out of it.

One of my hottest takes is that I think the mystery and more specifically the transition from a casual mystery show to a more thrilling and serious one was done much better in Detentionaire compared to Mystery Incorporated
