I admit I took a lot from Horizon and Call of Duty Extinction and more I'm making up as I go. I finally got Declassified and I could not help myself.
In my mind, child Sombra was taken by Anubis loyalists, and forcibly turned into a cybernetic freak. Unlike Sojourn (Who isn't really there anymore. There nothing left of Vivian Chase, only Anubis.) as the God Program host body, Olivia Colomar still exists, fighting against the Sombra's persona.
Doomfist, he's definitely one of the major leaders, or figures on the Mars Colony of Humans. His Social Darwinism philosophy to reclaim the Earth from the Omnics and the 'fake humans'. He, and Moira would be the biggest Martian Humans Heroes. Compared to maybe Mercy and Lifeweaver who should stay on Mars and focus rebuilding.
I see you had Cassidy as among the Human Survivors on Earth. In my eyes Cassidy would be an Jeremiah Johnson/Man with No Name. A man with few if any words to say, it all in his actions. So alone for so long, but still has a heart in him.
Of course Mauga would still be alive and kicking. He gone full Ocean World.
Illari, could be interesting if the Inti Warriors are still around in the Andes and just wanna be left around/left undiscovered.
All the cloned cast would be very different. But you can still see certain characteristics from Canon as part of the 'Human Nature.' Some would become rebellious like Ashe, and Junker Queen, others trying to figure out what a human being actually means.
Ramattra would be one of the most interesting to explore. Even here I feel he would be a sorta outsider because of being a Ravagers, built by Anubis for war. He has no reason to hate humans, but maybe thinking the project to bring them back to be a bad one. Even so I like to think he defends everyone on top on going after Anubis itself. Peace at any cost. The same for working with Macaria.
Curious to see Echo and Orisa. I guess the're attempts by the Omics to create a new generation.
Large parts of the Earth have been left abounded, reclaimed by nature, litter with the legacy of mankind and the Crisis, Omnics are often clustered around the old Omniums as well as several other locations.
No idea why I did this, but you might enjoy it and offer some insight on it. The Omnic Crisis ended with the Extinction of Humanity. Or Pyrrhic Victory in the Crisis.

I now have brain rot. I love this so much!!
Ok first I would like to point out a couple of things. The first being, considering the state of the Overwatch world during the Crisis, other then then brilliant minds being saved, the only other people who would have been saved were probably rich. Another thing is that I think the only people who would be cloned would be those who died at a young age, so a majority of the old guard stay dead, and a suggestion I would make to avoid complicating ages would be have the cloning process match how old the DNA is.
I would also like a specification on what Sombra is doing in this AU, because I assume she's trying to save Sojourn, but it also sounds she's either also being controlled by Anubis or helping him in some way.
However speaking of Sombra there is something I need to specify and that it, if a character has augmentations like she does in canon and they are part of the few surviving humans on earth in this universe, they wouldn't have those augmentations unless they were needed for survival and they were saved by Omics.
Also I would love to see how morals change for characters because of this change. Specifically the Talon characters.
I would also like to point out that Ramattra and maybe Zen would probably be the main ones trying to stop Anubis on the Omnic side of things, maybe even working with Macaria.
Anyway I also made a list on what I think the state of all the characters, so enjoy;
OK. The Prince of Persia idea was a shot in the dark and a random idea I had before I went to work I wanted to get out there.
Now the Mummy? THAT is a idea I can get behind and what you have works very well. I watched both the orignal and Mummy Returns (Got both DVDs I think still.) and even the Cartoon series. The above mixes very well with the characters and orignal plot. Even can use some of the orignal movie characters to fill in the gaps. Especially Imhotep.
Xerath/Imhotep: "I will show you true power."
Jinx: Or how about this! (Blasts Xerath as Jinx drags Lux away.)
In my mind Lux, who became a archaeologist to make a name for herself and out of her family’s shadow, bets everything on finding the ‘City of the Dead’ and Ezreal just so happens to have the only map of it existence and she can prove her nay-sayers wrong. Using all her reaming funds to mount a expedition into Shurima, Lux gets saved by Jinx from a assassin trying to take the map. Jinx ‘offers’ to help them lead to them to the city. (A lie, but she does know where it is from a dying prisoner who claimed to have escaped from it.)
Eventually (After more run ins with rival Noxian/ Demacian group, and assassins/Medjai trying to stop both.) they reach the half buried city. Events unfold that sees Xerath/Imhotep awoken and all hell breaking loose as the survivors flee back to Piltover.
New Lightcannon idea: Prince of Persia crossover. A new exhibit of rare relics from Shurima opens in Piltover with the highlight being the supposed 'Sands of Time' hourglass and Dagger of Time. The ancient Vizier attacks the Museum to gain both items, and use them to turn both cities into a replica of his kingdom he was master of in ancient times. However Jinx (Surviving being stabbed by the Dagger she just happen to be wanting to rob as well.) makes off with the Dagger in a visiting Lux being dragged along for the ride.
Never played the Prince of Persia games (I seem to be saying that a lot with having not watched/read/played lol) so I'm only able to talk from context clues, but I'm somewhat struggling on figure out how to mentally develop the idea (If that makes sense).
Usually with these submissions it gets my brain buzzing, but with this one I don't really know how it would go. Like I can see Jinx being a little gremlin sneaking in to the exhibit, maybe getting found out by Vi and Caitlyn (who are patrolling the exhibit given it's high profile nature and the fact Jinx likely sent them a note expressing her interest). Lux could also be there as a diplomat.
It's just I'm drawing a blank on how the story would advance past getting the cool dagger.
I don't know, for some reason my mind just drifts to the Mummy given the subject matter and my enjoyment of the movie. In that case it could be an AU (or take place in Runeterra who knows) where Lux hires a team to explore newly discovered ruins that are thought to house unimaginable treasures.
Team would be: Lux (Kinda over it archeologist), Ezreal (Well-intentioned explorer friend that's a massive idiot surviving through sheer luck and is practically unkillable), Sivir (Local guide, gruff with a heart of gold when it counts, constant mocker of "Dumb foreigners"), Jinx (Ex-Convict hired due to her unmatched skills when it comes to traps and engineering, keeps flirting with Lux), and Caitlyn and Vi being thrown into the bunch as Jinx 'technically' isn't an Ex-Convict since she escaped prison early because she got bored.
Villain would be Xerath or something, who the accidentally unleash and have to deal with.
Maybe I just want to rewatch the Mummy.....
That’s actually is a wonderful idea.
The main surviving Greek Gods should be Aphrodite, Apollo, Demeter and Artemis. Hestia too as you pointed out and maybe Dionysus. Demeter especially would be hell-bent on killing Kratos for killing her daughter on top of everything else. (Despite Persephone trying to end the whole world along with herself in Chains of Olympus.) She go after Atreus in an heartbeat.
Apollo and Artemis would be the biggest after Demeter to want Kratos’ head for destroying the Greek Pantheon and the destruction of Greece itself. Aphrodite may not be as lustful as we saw her last. Dionysus drinking away with Egyptian wine.
Hestia may be the only real one that could want to make peace with Kratos and see her grandnephew in Atreus/Anubis.
On the flip-side, you may find surviving Spartans who still worships Kratos as the God of War for better, or for worst. Even an aged, older version of the Last Spartan, Kratos most loyal mortal follower leading them.
I kind of wish that the God of War sequel series had taken place in Egypt instead of Midgard. Aside from just loving Egyptian Mythology and it being severely underrated, I really think it could have worked thematically with God of War.
Let me explain.
So, the most famous myth in Egyptian Mythology, and arguably the most important, is the succession crisis between Horus and Set. Basically, Horus is the son of Osiris, the previous King of the Gods, whom Set, Osiris’ brother, murdered and took the throne for his own.
But, it’s not so cut and dry. See, the original King of the Gods was Ra, the creator deity, who was forced out by Isis, mother of Horus and wife of Osiris, and then forced him to name Osiris his heir. Set was Ra’s greatest general and oathsworn warrior, and by all rights should have been king after Ra stepped down. So Horus’ claim isn’t as ironclad as it appears.
So, why does this work?
Because it’s a legitimate divine WAR. A war where no one is clearly in the right or wrong, and both sides have to stand on the strength of their morals, rather than being ruled by a generic fantasy Evil King you need to rebel against.
So, picture this for the God of War sequel series:
Kratos makes his way to Egypt after the fiasco in Greece, and there he meets Nephthys, the sister of Isis and a Goddess of Night, the Dead, and Air. Nephthys is in hiding as she doesn’t want to get involved in the war between her family. She knows who Kratos is, he’s got a reputation, and hides her identity as a Goddess, tending to his wounds. They end up falling in love and having a child together, whom they name Atreus. But Nephthys gives him a different name in secret.
She names him Anubis.
When Atreus is young, the family is thrown into the Succession War when Nephthys’ identity is revealed. This obviously pisses of Kratos because he’s still in his “hates all the Gods” thing and thinks Nephthys used him. But he still loves her, and despite the tension the three of them try to keep themselves together and try to stay alive in the midst of this divine war.
They don’t really like either side of the war, and both occupy a somewhat villainous position in the beginning. Horus is an arrogant jerk and Set is a brutal warrior. Both are meant to be a parallel to Kratos as well, Set having a similar backstory and warrior mindset and Horus emodying the brutal hateful anger at everything that made Kratos destroy the Olympian pantheon.
Basically, Atreus/Anubis in these games would be Kratos’ opposite. He’s gentle and weak where Kratos is brutal and powerful. Atreus’ unique ability is to communicate with the dead, drawing power from them and laying their spirits to rest. It’s this power that makes him indispensable to the war, as he gains the ability to do the same with dead Gods as well, including Osiris.
Ultimately, it’s revealed that Apophis, the Chaos Serpent, has been manipulating both sides this whole time in an effort to throw the world into chaos. Isis finally relents her mbition, Horus unbend his pride, and Set stops fighting.
They end up putting Ra back on the Throne for the coming conflict with Apophis, and the gods recognize Atreus as Anubis, one of their pantheon. Kratos is forced to learn to trust Gods and realize that Ra is not the tyrant Zeus was. He forgives Nephthys for her deception and accepts his son as a God, and they work together against Apophis.
I dunno. I just think it could work.
Here here.
I’m trying to prove a point to Blizzard
That’s not Ohio that’s Iowa good sir.
1: Sojourn's fate is very much an example of what happened to John Connor in Terminator Genisys, both as a means of survival for Anubis, how prefect Sojourn was for him (Being a heavily augmented cyborg.) and the horror she has become a heartless machine after all with the old person gone.
2: I am getting some Last of Us themes with Jack, Cole, and Sombra traveling across a abounded North America litter with rogue Omnics, leftovers from the war, and Anubis loyalists/an Anubis trapped in Old Canada. Cassidy loses his arm while Sombra gets dragged away.
Honestly the end of the world would give Mauga the same 'live in the moment' fun loving attitude even Jack and Cole can't understand, but learn to kinda live with it.
3: Gabe being brought back to life and still becoming Reaper...them ore things change the more they stay the same. I can see Jack and Gabe having drinks in a old bar that still got bottles, drinking to all their lost.
Jack: To Vincent.
Gabe: To my family.
Jack: To Ana Amari, Mina Liao, Reinhardt Wilhelm, and Torbjörn Lindholm. We barely knew them, but they was the best of them.
Gabe: Can't argue with that.
Jack: You think...if we had come together sooner...thinks would have been different?
Gabe: Morrison, I got pump full of lead in mankind's last stand in Nepal, and someone came back to life as...I don't know what the hell I am now. The Omnics are cloning people back to life, people we knew. I don't know what could have happened. How the hell you get back to the States anyhow?
Jack: Wasn't easy. The temple collapse on itself after...after what happened. Took forever to dig myself out, more to heal even with the SEP. Omnics were fighting each other for a while, finally found a boat and made it to Hawaii, and then a plane to the West Coast. By myself for a long time.
Gabe: If Naughton could see us now...
I also like the idea of Reaper having to be a peacemaker between Jack and Cassidy.
4: Like I said above, the more things charge, the more they stay the same, in your other posts, Fareeha's want to do good and bring justice to this New World. More so if she is actually Ana's daughter and not knowing about it. The same others still be driven by certain traits from Canon against both Anubis, as well as angry Martian Humans attacking.
No idea why I did this, but you might enjoy it and offer some insight on it. The Omnic Crisis ended with the Extinction of Humanity. Or Pyrrhic Victory in the Crisis.

Now this set up is very, very good as always.
The Princess of Poseidon is a good choice as some do said there should have been something for her in Valhalla and Old Kratos using her as doorstop.
Hera is curious, but makes sense he killed her just because she bad mouth Pandora when she was no danger to him.
Hercules, in Valhalla says he has no regret in killing him, saying Hercules wanted to be the God of War for all the wrong reasons, and not the right one. But I can also say Kratos at that point of time was willing to let Hercules live if he would step aside.
Hephaestus I can see from his downfall from grace, his savage beating from his father, failure to save Pandora, and Kratos respect towards Hephaestus doing what any father would do, protect their child.
Ares definitely needed to be in Valhalla and Kratos fighting Mars and the battle ending in a draw is pretty the same for Mars taking up both the legacy of Ares and Kratos as a God who fights to bring peace and who loves his people and followers. (Mars the Father and Mars the Avenger.)
I would also give a shot-out to Orkos, who was Kratos' last true friend for the longest time, being forced to kill him to free both from Ares.
It also would be great to see Atreus in his Anubis persona and the Guardian of the Dead.
Long time I know. I first offer a Merry Christmas for you and my family. But the Valhalla DLC for Ragnarök just dropped (Super wonderful), and I been thinking about how the old God of War in Egypt ideas would work with it. In Egyptian Mythology you have the 42 Negative Confessions and it 42 Judges of Maat. It's not about perfection, but to keep trying to outweight your bad deeds with good ones, to bring more balance than chaos to the world.
Alright so, in the God of War in Egypt AU, we've gotta trim the 42 down a bit, so we're grouping it into six groups of seven. Each group of seven represent a level to clear, with the final one at the end.
So the story is, after the final boss of the second game, Apophis, Osiris invites Kratos to the Underworld for "a great matter", and tells him someone wants to talk to him. Basically, Kratos has to traverse the 42 Confessors/Judges of Ma'at with Nephthys, facing one of his sins as a boss at the end of each level.
The 42, again, in groups of seven, you're not facing all of them at once, act as witnesses, watching him go through it, and talking to him at the end of it.
The bosses are all from the previous God of War games, particularly the ones Kratos feels kinda bad about.
Also, you get the Blade of Olympus at the beginning of the DLC, and it gains power with every boss you defeat.
First boss is Helios, good solid start to the story.
Second is the Princess of Posiedon, who sort of uses Posiedon's powers from GoW3. This ends with Kratos apologizing to her and her soul finding rest.
Third is Hera, who points out he could have shown her mercy but chose not to.
Fourth is Hercules, this one is lighter than the others, since Herc isn't really salty about losing, and Hercules passes on on good terms.
Fifth is Hephaestus, who is angry at the world more than Kratos himself.
The Sixth boss is Ares himself. the man who started it all. This is a knock down drag out fight... and it leads you into the REAL final boss.
See, once you've defeated Ares, you're led into the Heart Weighing Chamber where Anubis has begun his tenure as Guardian of the Dead, and under your son's gaze you fight the real Final Boss of the Ma'at DLC.
The final boss is Mars, the Roman God of War, the inheritor of both Kratos and Ares' legends. A more grim and noble God of War.
The fight ends in a draw, and Mars leaves, having put the ghosts of old to rest and returns to the fledgling Rome, to tak eup his post as the God of War.
Anything is possible. His official Overwatch 2 backtstory states Junkrat founds something on the lines of ‘a extremely valuable secret in the bones of the Omnium’. What that could be we have no idea what it might be, or could be even now.
What is this secret? Could it be the means of speaking to Aurora, or understanding the Iris? Could it be the means of freeing the Omnics from Null Sector? Is it the answer to Ramattra’s unsaid question?
We just don’t know. But I still think whatever Jamison knows, or even has could be critical element of the story.
Random theory: This is a old one, but Junkrat's treasure is actually the secret of Omnic life and could be the key in saving them and starting the next generation and future generations onward.
Of course he's much too crazy and insane to even understand what he knows, or what he has, but Jamison could actually be the biggest game changer of the whole setting.
That's the irony in the Junker who hates Omnics could be the one to save them.
That is both very funny to me and also a very interesting way to get the Junkers involved in the main storyline.
Do I think it's possible? No, I think a big thing in the story is the fact that Omnics are a set generation, but that's not the only problem, they are an oppressed minority. Making a new generation isn't going to stop the discrimination and abuse. It's a fix to a problem but not a fix to the problem.
But this did get me thinking.
In an interaction Rammattra has with Echo he mentions that he has a question he constantly asks her and that he wishes she could answer. Maybe what Junkrat has it the answer to that question. Or maybe it's the answer to what happened when Aroura ascended/what the iris is.
Better yet what if what he has is the key to saving the Omnics who have been subjugated? Like it's a technology that can remove the helmet without hurting the omnics?
I don't know but this ask has gotten me thinking-
You done screw up.
Oh I don’t have the skills, or resources to do it myself.
The idea came from your post about Blazamy, of how the two can just talk to each other, and having better communication between Amy and Blaze. (Compared to as you said ‘ it's like a whole song and dance and a few near death experiences to get Sonic and Shadow to talk about their thoughts and feelings, that's just how they are written.)
My idea is ‘what happens when you give a good reason for trouble between the pair?’ and cue Blaze not wanting to get close less she cause harm to Amy, still loving her dearly for a second time, and Amy wanting to know the truth, no matter how painful it could be for both of them.
I love all the ships, Amy/Sonic, Amy/Shadow, and yes, Amy/Blaze and you done a wonderful job with them all, especially the Amy Rose, Agent of GUN and Team Dark comic you are doing right now. If you find the time, I’m sure you could have fun with it.
Random idea: Blaze and Amy was in a relationship before Amy's death in a slightly different Sonic 2006 timeline. Cue the reboot, Blaze is one of the few who remembers, but is afraid she would cause Amy's second death while wanting to love her again if she gets too close and Amy just wondering who Blaze is and why she seems so familiar... what could go wrong?
Interesting idea. Maybe you should write more about it👍
