✘ caretaker has whumpee locked in a room (or chained down to a bed) so that whumpee can’t escape, except that — instead of whumpee’s completely being a prisoner — caretaker’s having to hold whumpee captive is genuinely for whumpee’s own safety, too.

✘ whumpee constantly expects caretaker to hurt them.

✘ whumpee may be injured, but they’re not submissive. they always hiss and snarl at caretaker like a caged animal; clearly scared and terrified, yes, but they refuse to surrender.

✘ whumpee tries to attack caretaker, but with them being hurt, caretaker can easily overpower them by placing a firm hand on the back of whumpee’s neck and holding them down to the bed, keeping them still. (keep in mind that caretaker is not hurting whumpee, they’re in fact keeping whumpee from hurting them and themself in the process.)

✘ feeding time is a nightmare when whumpee constantly tries to literally bite caretaker’s hand.

✘ whumpee thrashes around when caretaker holds their jaw open with one hand, feeding them with the other, forcing the food down their throat.

✘ neither whumpee nor caretaker is having a good time.

✘ whumpee always challenges caretaker to kill them and just get it over with. but even though whumpee tries to hide it, caretaker can still see genuine fear in whumpee’s eyes.

✘ caretaker isn’t going to “comfort” whumpee (they’re enemies, duhhh), but caretaker does tell whumpee that they’re not going to hurt them. that whumpee doesn’t believe caretaker is… none of caretaker’s problem.

✘ whumpee gets sick and throws up on their bed / on the floor (the choice is yours), they are less embarrassed than they are surprised by how gentle caretaker is being, as caretaker helps clean them up.

✘ or how mindful caretaker is when they’re changing whumpee’s bandages.

✘ caretaker gives whumpee a bath and when whumpee reflexively tries to cover their wounds and their scars even if they know caretaker has already seen them all (because they don’t want caretaker to see what they consider a sign of weakness), caretaker says, “you don’t have to feel like you have to hide your injuries from me. I’m not them. I’m not going to take advantage of your wounded stage. I’m not going to hurt you.” — “what do you want then?” whumpee asks. — “I just want to take care of you and make sure you’re okay,” caretaker replies, firmly but softly with no hint of mockery in their voice.

✘ caretaker hears whumpee cry at night. though whumpee stops and pretends to be asleep when they hear the door open.

✘ caretaker knows whumpee is awake, but caretaker chooses not to say anything.

✘ or, one night, whumpee is awake but pretends to be asleep. this time, however, caretaker doesn’t know whumpee is actually awake when they walk over to whumpee’s bed to adjust the blanket properly around whumpee’s shoulders. whumpee keeps still and continues pretending to be asleep. they only open their eyes when they’re certain caretaker has already left the room, but they don’t push the blanket away, for some reason.

Whump Prompts: Water Torture

Content: Suffocation, waterboarding, drowning, creepy/intimate whumper, tiny whumpee, dehydration, forced to hurt, impossible choice.

Waterboard them. Put a cloth over their face and tip a heap of water onto them before watching as they flail and choke.

A creepy/intimate whumper bathing with their whumpee or sitting on a stool beside the tub and just dunking their entire head underwater without giving them enough time to suck in a deep breath. Make sure they're terrified of bathing by the time they're done:)

A dehydrated whumpee asks for water? tie them down, put a o-ring gag into their mouth and start tipping water into their mouth without giving them enough space to drink it all. Watch as they inevitably choke and scramble for air, trying to turn away from the stream of water but being completely stuck until you decide to show them mercy.

String them up like a piece of meat and dunk them inside a pool or a tank.

Tie them up and toss their entire body into the pool. Just watch as their writhing body floats to the bottom, not realising that they're attached to a rope and can be pulled out at any time.

Making them swim laps around a pool with no way to get out and the floor being just deep enough that they can't reach it without their head falling under. Forcing them to constantly work to keep themselves above water.

Putting a tiny whumpee inside a jar filled with water and screwing the lid on so there's no escape.

If they can keep their head below water for a certain amount of time, they can receive a day without any torture. If they fail, Whumper gets to have hours upon hours of fun with no stop. Their deal involving breaks so Whumpee doesn't die is revoked in this instance. Does Whumper make it achievable for Whumpee? Do they just wanna see how far Whumpee's body can be pushed?

Tying TWO whumpees together with a rope around their waists and tossing them into a pool.

Giving whumpee the choice between waterboarding someone else or getting waterboarded themselves. Bonus points if it's a loved one.

Dunking their head in water and then causing so much pain that they can't help but scream, effectively running out of air almost immediately in the process.

Forced Comfort

Because who doesn't like a little bit of intimate whumper vibes?

Whumpee wrapped up in a blanket. The soft fabric hides the fact that their hands are still bound behind their back.

Gentle fingers brushing the hair from Whumpee’s face - carefully peeling it back through the sheen of sweat that’s left.

“Shhh…you’re okay. I’m not gonna hurt you anymore..”

Kissing tears from the corners of Whumpee’s eyes.

Whumper keeping Whumpee sedated between sessions to 'help them cope'.

“Hold still- hold still or I’ll start again.”

Pinning a squirming Whumpee in an embrace. Grip tightening the more they struggle. 

Whumpee being so tired. So so so very tired. They can’t help but lean into the gentle touch. 

Whumper ignoring every shiver and twitch that accompanies the gentle pets they give their broken toy.

“Nnnnono-sst…d-on’ t ouchme-!”

Whumpee thrashing to the point of hyperventilation as Whumper wraps them up in blankets. The panic in their eyes ever so slowly fading as they realize they’re not being hurt anymore.

Whumpee desperately not trying to lean into it or accept the comfort. They don’t want it from them - don’t want to melt into the hands that ripped screams from them just a few minute before. But they need something. And Whumper knows it.

“Look at you. Pathetic little thing~”

Shoving Whumpee into a bath to trigger some kind of calming response. Whumpee just thinks they’re going to be drowned. …….maybe they will be. Just a little bit.

Whumper combing a hand through Whumpee’s hair - soft and rhythmic and sweet - as they carve into Whumpee.

“Shhh..just focus on me. Don’t look at  it- just look at me. Listen to my voice. You’re doing so good, little one.”

Kisses peppering over Whumpee’s cheeks, lips, forehead, brows, jaw, etc as their face puckers up, trying to twist away. 

A hug that looks gentle until you notice Whumper’s hand fisted in Whumpee’s hair. Keeping them exactly in place.

“Don’ don t t-ouch me- STOP-”

Drugging Whumpee to ‘help with the nerves’. Watching their panicked sobs slowly peter out into nothing as they stare miserably at their captor. 

“Make the most of this. We start again in the morning.”

Biting / kicking / hitting Whumper at every possible opportunity, regardless of how much trouble they get in.

Spitting in Whumper’s face instead of answering a question.

Whump Prompts: Recovery

Content: Recovery, murder, abuse, captivity, [implied] past minor whump, restraints, [mentioned] vivisections, branding, conditioning, muzzles, past non con.

Whumpee recovering from the trauma stemming from, not only all the abuse they went through, but the fact that they had to murder their abuser to get away from them.

Whumpee finally getting to experience the outside world for the first time in what feels like forever. Gawking at nature and how pretty everything is, excitedly pointing everything out to Caretaker as they go.

Crying when they see children playing in the park for the first time since their captivity because they had their entire childhood taken from them.

Learning about all the new inventions that came out while they were gone. Caretaker introducing them to mobile phones, that board game they'd been looking forward to playing before, the new gaming consoles, all the music Caretaker saved just because it made them think of Whumpee! It delights Caretaker to know that they get to show it all to Whumpee, after all.

The personality changes that have happened, whether that be due to conditioning/trauma/etc. A stoic whumpee now getting emotional at everything (not just because they're scared or sad - there's also a lot of happy/joyous tears shedded), an aggressive/angry whumpee who is just so loving and filled with adoration for everything, and vice versa.

Learning to break old habits. Realising it's okay to have and express opinions instead of bottling them up, it's okay to walk on their own two feet, it's okay to not want to spend every waking hour restrained because they're "dangerous".

Hating the freedom. Wanting structure and consistency in their life again, wanting no autonomy because it's so scary after years of living without it.

Having to learn to accept their more prominent scars. The outline of where their muzzle always sat around their face, the visible scars from all Whumper's poorly executed surgeries/vivisections (also the low-quality stitching up they did!), the mark from where they were branded.

Whumpees who immediately try (and fail) to go back to who they were before. They don't want to admit that it's not possible - they're in complete denial and end up hurting all their friends and family in the process.

That said, also having to grieve because they've lost the person they were. Does Caretaker secretly grieve with them? Do they miss the person Whumpee was?

The amount of hospital visits and treatments Whumpee needs to get following their return. Bones healing incorrectly, diseases they may have caught, badly infected wounds.

The letters they write to their abuser. Whether they actually send them or not is an entirely different story, but what do they say? Do they beg for forgiveness? Do they hurl insults at them? How coherent are their words?

Caretaker not getting to see them for the first few days/weeks because they spend so much of it holed up in their room, trying to forget about what happened. Maybe they're just so happy to finally be alone without having to worry about Whumper turning up and wanting something from them.

Sexually abused whumpees who experience hypersexuality.

Whumpees who become chronically overstimulated by the time they escape because of all the constant noise/bright lights that Whumper had around them.

Whump Prompts: Muzzles

Content: Vampire whumpee, burns, muzzles, conditioning, recovery, starvation.

Whumper forcing Caretaker to muzzle Whumpee for them.

Whumpee doesn't want to take the muzzle off because they're conditioned to believe that they're dangerous.

Whumpee always having a muzzle on them because they'll bite chunks of skin off otherwise.

A vampire whumpee having to wear a muzzle for everyone's safety because they're so hungry that they can't control themselves.

The muzzle on Whumpee's face being so small that they can't physically open their mouths or breathe properly.

Whumpee secretly keeping the muzzle Whumper always used on them after their escape to feel some sort of normalcy in their new life.

Caretaker and Whumpee sitting on a beach, trying to guess who the seagulls will terrorize next. Laughing and exchanging "I told you so"s when they get one right.

The two decorating the house for the holidays. Snacking on far too much chocolate and candy as they put up cheesy figurines and window stickers.

Caretaker making two cups of tea and wordlessly handing one to Whumpee, sitting next to them so they are just a little bit less alone.

Whumpee knocks quietly on Caretaker's door after a nightmare. They slip into Caretaker's bed, snuggling in close and letting the fear melt away into warmth and sleepiness.

Caretaker and Whumpee sit on the ground in front of a campfire, staring into the shimmering coals and telling countless stories.

The two climb onto the roof with a bottle of cheap wine in the middle of the night. They just lay there, passing it back and forth as they stare up at the constellations.

Caretaker and Whumpee singing along to the song on the radio at the top of their lungs, bouncing up and down as they drive down long, empty highways lit by stars.
