I was sitting on this painting for the past week, but I’m finally putting it here.

I have a lot of feelings about this ship. John and Abigail are still my favorite, BUT the thought of John and Javier also pulls on my heartstrings, and they would end so tragically that I can’t help really enjoying seeing their relationship explored, both platonically and romantically.

This is literally just a screencap from X-Men: Days of Future Past starring an older Akechi and Akira.

I’m pretty new to the fandom, but these two have a lot of similar vibes to Erik and Charles, so I had no choice but to do the thing albeit very messily.

I was listening to Pink Floyd while drawing yesterday, and I dunno. I think he’d be into them.

I wish my first contribution to this fandom was some of my own art and not a recolor, but alas. All I have hidden in my folders apart from this are half-hearted doodles I won’t be posting anytime soon. 😓

But that aside, I’m pretty happy with this! And before anyone @s me. I know Soma is Japanese, that the exchange student thing was added to the English localization to make him more relatable to an American audience. But…I dunno, y’all. I still find my little rationalizations for it. He could easily have one Mexican parent and one Japanese. And the thought of him being Mexican like me just helped to further endear him to me, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that.

After doodling these two last night, I wanted to do something a little bigger and cleaner. So I drew Lonán making his wife laugh, and I’m really happy with it. They’re so sweet.

Akechi in an Atreus Cosplay

Because Persona 5 and God of War: Ragnarök are all I can think about.

I could have fleshed out the design more, but the hour was late, and I just wanted to get this out of my brain.

I think the color yellow suits him surprisingly well.

No color and a little messier this time, but I really love the way Soma looks wearing a tilmàtli, and wanted to give him one with more patterns along the edges.

Y’all ever find yourselves drawing OCs you know you’ll almost certainly never use? Because I do.

It’s probably pretty obvious who these two are based on, at least visually, but I like how they came out. May go back and draw more of them once I’m finished with chores. I just needed to get them out of my system while waiting for laundry.
