i have posted about my friend Firas @firasmuhaisenn and his sister Nisreen at length before here they are two siblings living in Egypt, currently enrolled in university, about to start their second year. their biggest dream in life is to finish medical school to be able to help people in Gaza and give back to their community. they were all set to start this journey but then everything changed on October 7th. their family is stuck in North Gaza with no way out and no way to pay for the skyrocketing food prices. Firas & Nisreen are, on top of everything else, responsible to send their family money so they can survive. every little bit you can give to them is helpful. i cannot overstate how extremely urgent this is. their fundraiser keeps stagnating a lot, oftentimes going without a single donation for days. we cannot afford this right now!! Help Firas and Nisreen Raise $545 in a Week
prices for the simplest items in North Gaza can fluctuate wildly, if they are available at all.
my friend Firas @firasmuhaisenn and his sister Nisreen are two first-year medical students who went to study in Egypt before the genocide started. their family is stuck in North Gaza and lost their source of income. i have posted about them extensively here Firas and Nisreen must not only pay for rent, food and necessities for themselves in Egypt, but they also have to make sure their family survives and has enough to eat.
to make sure the entire family can survive, they absolutely have to reach a weekly goal of $545 USD (= $734 CAD) while the possibility of the Rafah crossing opening soon remains, it is important we also think of these funds gathered as a form of Palestinian survival amidst a genocide. until the crossing reopens, Firas and his family need our help just to survive another day! anything you can give this family truly helps them feed themselves. let's help Firas and Nisreen, they are so young and can only carry so much on their shoulders! $0 / $545 USD (until 09/05/24)

We have featured Moataz Abu Sakran @moatazart many times in past. He is a gifted multimedia artist and a friend of this blog. You can read more about Moataz’s situation on his blog and in our “#Moataz Abu Sakran” tag.
Moataz’s home was bombed by the occupation early on in its latest onslaught against Gaza. He has been undertaking months of difficult fundraising in order to rebuild his home. In the short-term, he hopes to evacuate with his wife and daughter to Egypt. However, they do not plan on staying in Egypt, but instead to return to Gaza to rebuild their house. He has been undertaking months of painstaking fundraising toward this goal via PayP*l. However, without warning, PP terminated his account. This brought his campaign to a halt, and he was without a way to support his home reconstruction fund.
You can still buy him a coffee to support his work and the rebuilding of his home. So far he has had only 2 supporters. We would like to see that number increase to 10 in the next 24 hours. Let’s see what we can do!

I had big dreams and hopes for the future, longing for stability and a sense of security to protect myself and my family from harm. Unfortunately, none of that was realized, and now we are suffering in every possible way. We face hunger, malnutrition, poor living conditions, and a severe lack of medicine, food, and even basic necessities. Sadly, there is no one left to take care of us, and hope has faded away. We have been displaced multiple times searching and seeking safety and secure , now we find ourselves living in a tent on the street without healthy food or water after our house was completely destroyed by bombing , in addition I have lost my small business after the warplane destroyed the store .

Today, for the first time, I feel extremely helpless and oppressed to think that the world has forgotten Gaza and the genocide there. The world has begun to look at my family members who were killed by Israel as mere numbers that appear on the news screen. But the shock was when I asked more than one of my friends outside Palestine if the world had forgotten the Gaza war and stopped supporting us. I went with their love and the pictures they sent me, which confirm that the world has not lost its humanity in a world that quickly forgets, where crises fade under the weight of renewed news. But they still maintain their solid principles and free awareness, which is a living embodiment of the power of human compassion. It is a testimony that great humanitarian issues are never forgotten, but are remembered and supported even in the darkest of circumstances. Therefore, I tell you all that my family and I, in the midst of genocide, love you all and we want you not to stop supporting us, no matter how long the war lasts. Please, any amount that will help my family get out of the war zone.
