Directly inspired by @millastaria 's mini fella drawings and art style. She recently posted a little guide on how she draws her little guys (I'll link the original post under the cut) and i couldn't help myself to try it cuz its just so damn cute!!
Since Wild Life is finally over (one of my favorite season by far) I wrote the watchers intro poem for the season the night i watched the finale lol. This is the 6th poem for the 6th Season of the life series. You can find the original post of the first 5 at the bottom!
In shadows deep, the dice are rolled. All the players, the fated eighteen, Day by day the game now differs. Wild cards begin at Darkest green,
You feel fractions of us,Β in size and famished desire, Death by shell of a dweller, The speeding arc of the timer,
Dropped with tests on the past, Untamed creatures alter and run, A gift of phenomena, each selected, The ending is yours, but Our will be done.
Here's the original post with all the poems for the first 5 series if you wanna check them out. :D
Omg I absolutely love this HC, I like to believe that in wild life Grain had been given a little more wiggle room with the things he can add in to make the game more interesting since the 6th season and he cant be repetitive. With the little freedom he has with adding more ways of "punishment" to the players he's trying to give them all the little mercies he can, kind of developing it into more of a game than a plain fighting arena. They're all doomed to be there and he's doomed to make the games. He says "they aren't supposed to have fun" and ""this is a PvP series" simply because he has to to convince the watchers, he's not gonna stop them from indulging in the little but of fun he's able to give them though.
Going with the "Grian is the one who designed this game as opposed to the others" headcanon, it makes you think about the superpowers he gave his friends, how they were all laughing and having fun in the beginning, and that was intentional. It goes to show that even when forced to design the death game his friends are put through (a punishment for trying to usurp the Watchers time and time again), he still cares. They all know he's the one who designed this game, and he hopes they realize the little mercies he's giving them.
He gives Cleo the power to bring people back from the dead, just so he can have a chance to see his best friend again.
He gives Pearl the power to fly, and hopes she appreciates having her wings back, if only for a short time.
Jimmy gets to go invisible because Grian knows the Watchers aren't happy with the curse being broken. He wants to protect him.
As for Martyn? Grian doesn't really know a lot about what's going on with him and the Listeners, but he might as well try to strengthen that connection in the little ways he can without arising suspicion.
He says it himself in the beginning, "let's not forget this is a PVP series," but it sounds hollow even to his own ears. It's pandering to the watching eyes, making them think the lighthearted fun is all unintentional.
He falls out of the sky with the wings he gave to Pearl, and he wonders if the Watchers are starting to catch on.
After watching Martyn's POVs of the life series and like the rhymes he has in the lore bits. I got thinking what if the Watchers spoke the the players at the start of the series to "explain the rules" of the game and stuff. So I wrote a poem for each season that is what I imagine the players would hear before spawning in. I put loads of like little hinty words and stuff for fun since the watchers like to be a little unclear with what they say sometimes.

Life Series Winners stained window-looking-pedestal things!
I absolutely adore the life series and I'm always seeing amazing art on Pinterest and Tumblr so with my limited skill I tried my hand at fanart and i think it turned out really nice!
Each one has little things that represent each winner both in how they won and just the series overall. I drew each of the celestial bodies that represent them instead of their heads/faces (def not cuz idk how to draw heads) and tried to convey as much as possible in just the poses, body language and background/sky).
I drew them traditionally on my sketchbook then did the line art and coloring on procreate so it took a while.
