You open your phone and immediately saw you had a text from your boyfriend.

At least you had could stay away from the heat. As you set your phone down on your coffee table you sat up and made your way to the kitchen. You quickly started cooking something for the two of you to eat for dinner.

Time seemed to fly by quickly because you were already finished with the food and went to get your phone from the table you left it on, just to see if sunoo had messaged you.

You were surprised to say the least when your phone was bombarded with messages, not only from sunoo but also from you other friends, jungwon and niki. You pressed on the notifications and opened jungwon's message first. It was a photo of sunoo in front of a mirror, which he captioned with, "pls he is so whipped for you" with some laughing emojis next to the sentence. Next, it was niki's message, it was a photo, no two photos of sunoo in a supermarket, him looking immersed in to buying some chips, niki then sent you, "he even dragged us to the supermarket to help hin choose the best snacks and drinks pls :')"

You found yourself smiling widely, happy with how organized your boyfriend wanted to be for the important date ahead of you two. Lastly, you opened sunoo's message. It was him saying that he wanted to build a blanket fort so he'll bring his favorite blanket, and than he's bringing lots of snacks. Your smile widened, dAMN ARE YOU TWO WHIPPED FOR EACH OTHER.

And then, it hit you.

It was the first ever time you would build, or make, a blanket fort. Yes, that was the lamest thing ever. You quickly searched up on youtube for any guides or videos that could help you prepare for the make of a blanket fort.

After wasting half an hour watching different videos, you only knew one thing, you needed lots and by lots I meant LOTS of blankets. With that information in mind, you went to your room and opened the part of your closet where you had all the blankets and bed sheets. To say that your room was now a bit of a mess was an understatement. However, you had successfully pulled out seven huGE blankets and was trying to move them to your living room when the door bell rang.

Oh snAP!!

"IM COMING!!" you yelled, as you threw all the blankets you were holding, on your couch and ran to open the door.

"hey angel!!" sunoo almost screamed when you opened the door, picking you up while laughing and spinning you around. You were truly happy.

"sunoo I swear, put me down!!" you hit his back playfully and once he heard your voice, he put you down and simply pulled you in a hug. That's when you noticed it. There were bAGS, literally three bags filled to the top with snacks, his school bag (?), and a red bag with a golden ribbon on it.

"sunoo why did you bring all of this??"

"y/n, you know I love you right? it's not our 5 month anniversary every month honey"

"please I love you so much" you said and gave him a light kiss on his lips. Many people would call you naive. Saying you live someone you've met a year ago and been in a relationship for five months. You knew you would be characterized as naive, however, sunoo gave you the warm and comfort that is hard to find, he made your heart fuzzy and filled you with love, you though your eyes had turned into hearts. He made every place you went to together feel like home.

You broke of your hug and helped sunoo get the bags he was carrying inside when you got hit by a boomerang again.

"hey sunoo, there's something I think I should tell you"

"hm?" he turned to you, looking concerned "what is it y/n?" he looked kind of upset?

"well, I might not know how to build a blanket fort" you said looking at him, weirded out when you saw him break into a fit of laughter.

"I swear that you got me worried there for a second, y/n"

"what do you mean? aren't I lame for not knowing how to make a blanket fort?"

"I mean, knowing how to make one, isn't that important, really" he started, you didn't know where he was going with this but the next thing he said made your mood lift up with too much ease.

"do you want to help me with the fort so I can also teach you how to make one!!"

At that moment you were filled with joy and excitement, you grabbed sunoo's hand and pulled him to your living room with you, where he saw all your blankets on the floor and on the couch.

"are those enough sunoo?" you turned to him and saw him smiling widely and looking down at you, his eyes forming into crescents from his smile.

"yes they are angel" he responded while smiling, the pet name was not necessary and a little cringy but it had stuck to him from your first month of dating so you let him call you that.

You quickly got down to business, sunoo gathered some chairs and a broom from your cleaning closet. You went into your room again in order to get your pillows so you can put them in the fort once it was ready. You sat on your bed and thought about how cute sunoo was and how lucky you both were to be with each other. However, you didn't know for how long you were in the room until you heard sunoo scream from the living room.

"y/n are you aliVE?!"

"I'M COMING SUN" you screamed back and quickly got out of the bedroom with your pillows in hand. You were surprised however, when you saw most of the space in your living room taken, by a big pillow fort.

"wait, sunoo you made it all alone?!?!"

"I practically yelled at you but you didn't answer the first three times, hence why I asked if you're alive, love"

"sorry I didn't help you and left you one sunoo" you said, feeling kind of guilty that you didn't help him, but he pulled you in bear hug, telling that it was completely okay that you didn't help him.

When he broke the hug, you got your pillows again, entering the fort and placing the pillows in different spots inside the fort. You also made sure to bring two blankets inside the fort so you and sunoo could be kept warm if the a/c made the room too cold.

"hey, y/n, I'll go wear my pjs, be right back" he said and a slight blush appeared on his face and then he left, the bathroom being his only destination.

You found the chance to change while you were in your room so there wasn't any need for you to change into your pajamas. You sat up to leave the tent and go grab some of the fairy lights you had kept in your room, quickly running to your room to get them. Once you had got the lights, you got some clips to hang them inside the fort, making it a little more cozy than it already was.

You heard the bathroom's door open.l, sunoo stepped out of the bathroom wearing a pair of navy blue pjs, with white stripes and some cute little teddy bears on them. Cute. You might have been starting to stare for too long, as he caught your eyes and that slight blush from before reappeared on his face.

You held his hand and tiptoed, giving him a gentle kiss and then took him to your fort. Once you both stepped inside you opened your fairy lights, and turned the a/c on so that the room y wasn't too hot.

"shall we watch a movie?" you asked as you brought your laptop inside the fort and he nodded his head, "how about a disney movie?" he suggested and immediately your eyes started to light up from the excitement. "well, how about beauty & the beast?" you suggested, it was one of your all time favorites and it was also the first movie you saw with him.

"yesyesyes" he whispered and made a little victory dance, and then he hugged you.

You searched up for the movie on one of the sites you usually went to when you looked for movies and immediately found beauty and the beast.

You were halfway into the movie when your eyes were starting to get heavy, you turned your head to sunoo, he was looking at you too and you felt like time had stopped. The sound from the movie was blurred out and you forgot about your surroundings when his hands reached to your cheeks and pulled you in for a kiss. It was light, you held each other as if you were so fragile, you could break any minute. Sunoo's lips had the taste of your favorite jellies and they felt like feathers.

You broke the kiss for some air and then stared into each other's orbs, you had found the warmth you sought in each other and it was the best feeling ever. You shared a goofy smile and turned again to the screen where the movie was playing.

You were about to fall asleep when sunoo closed the laptop and left it outside the fort

"it's late and you're about to sleep, y/n" he said sounding sleepy himself. He lied down and pulled his blanket over him and he patted the space next to him, softly holding your hand and letting you lay beside him. He engulfed you in a hug and gave you another smile while closing the fairy lights. It was really dark inside the fort now and you felt him shift his body and his breath fanning against your neck. You shifted your body so you could face him and heard him mumble, "you know I love you right, y/n?" he asked quietly, "yeah, I know, I love you too and I'm always here for you, I hope you'll always remember this".

"Oh, I'll make sure to always remember it", he said and gave you one last smile, before closing his eyes and dozing off to dream land.

"yo jake!"

you were sitting on one of the park's benches with your best friend while eating strawberry flavored ice cream he got for you, when you heard someone call your best friend's name.

"jake!"

it was louder this time, meaning the person calling him was coming closer. Suddenly one of jake's friends, sunghoon, came into view trying to catch his breath while he sat down on the bench between you.

well now that was awkward.

he looked between you two, clueless to the situation you were in and asked,

"did I interrupt anything?"

he asked and to that question, your cheeks reddened as you turned to look at jake, noticing how his cheeks were also light crimson as he opened his mouth to answer his friend's question

"n-no you sure didn't" jake stammered. but jake never stammers?? and you just stood there, a little sad that jake answered sunghoon's question negatively and you just stood there, taken aback by jake's answer and by his stammering.

"it doesn't seem like it tho, anyways, heesung needs you in practice, jay was late and he almost got yelled at" sunghoon started talking without getting a breath, almost as if he was rapping.

you searched jake's face for a reaction and he didn't even look surprised by ths situation going on at the school's gym.

"well, y/n, I'll have to go, sadly, however, ill try to return you your book on saturday on our picnic!" he told you while he got his school bag, from the bench you sat on every day after school, and started walking behind sunghoon to the gym.

"I'll be waiting for my book!" you yelled and screamed, happy that he remembered the poetry book he borrowed from you, two weeks ago. you see, your and jake's bond was something unbreakable, being friends and classmates from a very young age and being lucky enough to be able to continue this friendship till now. you started packing your bag and put the cup from the ice cream in the park's trashcan while going to your house. there really wasn't anyone at home however you prepared your table fully and made yourself lunch. you sat down trying to find a boring enough movie so that you'll be motivated to stop watching it and study or catch a nap.

it was now 7pm on a friday afternoon and you were currently doing your homework so that you didn't have to do them during the weekend, when your computer started alarming you that there was an incoming skype call by jake. it made you instantly smile and you answered his call watching his face brighten once he saw you had picked up.

"are you doing homework on a friday night?" he asked, while he looked at me as if I was a weird creature.

"yeah, I don't understand your opposition on me doing my homework on a friday night" you said, the fake offended look on your face made jake laugh and that moment it was like you heard an angel laugh.

"have you prepared anything for our picnic tomorrow?"

you panicked

"I swear to god, y/n y/l/n, did you forget about one of the most important days of the month?" it was his turn to act offended now taking a dramatic pose acting as if he was crying.

you were about to start crying because, hoW. COULD. YOU. FORGET. YOUR PICNIC?!?!

"oH HELL NOH, how could I forget our picnic?!" you stated nervously hoping that he didn't notice the panic on your face when he mentioned the picnic.

"great, I was hoping you remembered about it because, well,,, tomorrow's picnic will be extra special, than just a day on the calendar" he said, he seemed nervous and by his sentence you became nervous too, hoping that something joyful will be behind this "extra special picnic"

"YO Y/N YOU THERE?" he yelled and then proceeded to slap his laptop's screen, just to make sure his computer wasn't the problematical one.

"yeah sorry, my laptop started glitching, see you tomorrow at the park!" you yelled at him and ended the call in a hurry.

you sat up from your desk's chair and walked in front of your mirror

"I now have to go down and prepare for tomorrow's picnic" you said to try and convince yourself to go down and prepare however your plan was interrupted when your phone rang, the name of your other best friend lighting up the screen.

you woke up by the sudden sound of your alarm, you didn't even remember setting an alarm but you find have time to worry about stuff like this as you wanted to get up and get ready quickly for the picnic.

your phone rang and jake's number lit up your phone's screen.

"yo jake, bro, homie, fella, how you doin" that was the weirdest thing you've ever, like eVER, said in your life.

"Y/N Y/L/N ARE YOU DRUNK THIS EARLY IN THE MORNING?!"

"of course no jakey, it's 11:29 am, the picnic is in two hours "

" uh uh uh- special picnic" jake emphasized special once again.

" oh well, guess I'll take more time to get ready since its spEcial" you said, mimicking the way he said special.

" I swear to our friendship, y/n, if you're not ready by the time I come to pick you up, consider yourself not my friend" he said sarcastically, adding a laugh at the middle of his sentence.

"oh well, it's your lucky day because I have just started getting ready!" you lied, you walked to your dresser and started searching for that one pair of brown corduroy pants jungwon suggested you wear.

"I'm hanging up jake, gotta go get ready, see you at 1 outside my house!" you hung up without giving him a chance to reply.

you finally found the pants, searching for a shirt now. you found a white blouse you had got last Halloween for a pirate costume but never wore it. It didn't look like a costume shirt anyway, you shrugged and got into the bathroom to take a shower and get ready afterwards.

You were done with your shower now, the time was 12 pm and you had an hour left before jake got to your place to pick you up.

You put on your clothes and matched a pearl necklace (which was, indeed, a gift by jake) with your outfit, you opted for some classic black converse high tops as for the shoe choice, and with that, your outfit was complete.

You headed downstairs to prepare your basket, full with snacks and fizzy drinks, also getting a light blanket with you, just in case.

You heard a car honk from outside and checked the time, it was 12 : 40, twenty minutes before jake should be here to pick you up. The same honking sound was heard again and you headed to the door to see if it was jake by any chance. It was jake indeed, you got your basket, your keys, sprayed some perfume on and left the house, not forgetting to lock the door behind you.

"well hello there, y/n"

you were ready to tell general kenobi literally at his face, the pun must've been intended as you had a star wars movie marathon some days ago.

"hello to you too, jakey"

You both got in the car and jake turned the music up, a song unknown to you playing on the radio. Jake seemed different today, he seemed nervous, something unusual to him.

"is everything okay jake?"

"yeah why?" he responded while he let out a small laugh.

"oh, nothing!"

The drive went by quickly, however jake had taken you to a place you thought you'd never see again, it was the place where you and jake had first met. A park filled with bushes and sunflowers, huge trees and benches along with wooden tables. You were on the verge of tears, left speechless, you opened the car's door, taking your basket and started running around the park laughing loudly. You were feeling truly happy.

Jake was watching from inside the car, deciding to open his door too, taking his own basket, locking the car and started running towards you.

After running around for some good minutes, you sat on bench and left your baskets on a wooden table, starting to set your food in order for your picnic to start.

You had started eating your second sandwich when jake interrupted you, making you put your sandwich down and turning your attention to him.

"yo y/n, do you remember those love letters you kept on receiving last year?"

"of course I do! I've been searching till this day! but what does that have to with our special picnic?"

"well, I'm the one who sent those letters" jake said, lowering his head and starting to fiddle with his hands.

"well, that was a good one!" you started laughing. Noticing the situation jake was in right now, it only meant one thing, "WAit, you're not joking?"

"not really" he said giggling sadly, lifting his stare and watching into your eyes. You extended your arms and reached out to hug him.

"why didn't you tell me?"

"wait, you really didn't know I liked you? The boys kept on telling that my crush on you was too obvious!" he said, looking annoyed by his friends that moment.

"I mean, you did throw a basket ball at me once that had, "let me take you out" all over it but I didn't think you meant thAT TAKING OUT" you said, laughing at the old memory you had remembered.

well, y/n, would you officially allow me to take you out?" he asked, a glowing happy slice on his face when he noticed your emotionless face, "on A DATE, I mean, not with a basket ball!" he added. With that, you burst into laughter and looked at him, showing him your brightest smile.

a/n : hi I'm rlly excited about this as it's my first request and I'm sorry it took so long, also sorry the pics don't rlly match!!

It was 3 am. Fricking 3 AM. And your phone was obnoxiously ringing as there was an incoming call. You checked the time and immediately realized who was calling at this ungodly hour.

"Are you stuck again?" you inquired, with a husky voice from waking up.

"WHERE YOU ASLEEP?" jay literally scrEAMED at your ear

"Why did you scream though? Is being peaceful that difficult for you?" you heard him chuckle through the phone.

"Bro, homie, dude, I'm in a band, of course it's hard for me to be peaceful" he said with a sassy voice, trying to imitate yours. " But um yeah, I'm stuck again and we have a show this Friday night"

"JAY FRIDAY IS TOMORROW" you were shocked to say the least, jay was usually the person that was very organized and always had back up lyrics for new songs.

You see, you knew jay like the back of your hand and you're pretty sure he knows the same about you too. However it was 10 months ago that you realized you liked jay as something more than friends. You thought that everyone new since his bandmates have seen the way you looked at him on stage. The stage, his almost natural habitat. The place where he shined and was having a genuinely great time. It wasn't only love you felt for him, it was admiration too. You knew you liked him and thought you showed it through your actions, getting him gifts and praising him after performances, picking up the phone at 3AM. Maybe he was super oblivious or incredibly dumb.

"Y/N ARE YOU THERE?!" you heard him scream through the device and you woke from your trance and put phone away from your ear.

"Yeah luv, I'm here" you said while you put your phone closer to your face.

"Thank God, I thought I lost you there hun but can you, like, come over?"

"Jay I'd love to but it's 3AM and if I sneak out I'll get myself in trouble"

"Oh well, will you come to my practice tomorrow evening?"

"Sure, just send me exact time and place and I'll be there"

And after that, you exchanged good nights' and you went to sleep thinking of jay and his band's practice.

The next morning you woke up late. You suddenly remembered that it was Friday and jay's festival was tonight. You thought of his practice before the show and smiled to yourself. There was no point in eating breakfast so you just went ahead and made yourself a tasty cup of instant ramen. A famous person once said, Ramen Never Disappoints. While scrolling through social media you came across an ad about the festival and your eyes fell on jay's band name.

You decided you'd watch two episodes of your favorite tv show and then go get ready for jay's practice and the festival.

Time went by quickly and you realized it was about time you started getting ready. You picked out what you'd wear and opted to go with a simple makeup look. You had just put your right shoe on when you heard a car honk from your window.

Opening your window and looking down you saw a black jeep and hay standing beside it.

"Weren't you supposed to be practicing with the band?" you asked, surprised.

He looked up at you like he had just noticed you were there and instantly smiled. His smile made his face glow and then you took notice of his outfit, it didn't seem like an outfit for practicing but he answered your question.

"Heesung canceled it, said we are perfect so don't need to practice and be anxious" he simply said.

The look he had on was different from other days. His eyes were glowing and he looked happier that usual but also a bit?? nervous??

"Wait I'm coming!!" and with that you closed the window, put on your left shoe and headed to the door to leave. As soon as you looked the door you went to jay and he extended his arms out to go for a hug which you accepted and then returned.

You opened the car's door and sat at the passenger's seat while jay did the same but on the driver's seat. You turned your head to the side and caught jay smiling while looking at you and there it was again, that look from before. You stared for a good minute and then jay started the car.

"Should we go to the festival now or a bit later?" you asked, actually confused with the fest's program.

And another bad date. One after the other, each date was getting worse and worse. Your only comfort right now was ice cream, sweets, snacks and hugs from your friend heesung. Thank god heesung existed. No, literally, he's your closest friend, the one who drives you to and from your progressively bad dates, the one who comforts you after them and honestly, the only boy you'd really love to go on a date with.

Suddenly, the sound of fingers snapping awoke you from your trance and brought you back to reality.

"You zoned out" heesung spoke. "Don't think about it, the date, I mean" he added.

"Look- before you say anything- I really haven't gotten the chance to tell you yet but I really really like you, like I could write a ten page essay on how much I love you and why" you said, while heesung had a puzzled look on his face.

"ok but like, WHY DID YOU GO ON ALL THOSE DATES?!?"

"To be honest, I didn't want to tell you about my crush on you in fear of you rejecting me and ruining our friendship, so the dates were my last solution..."you said quietly, scared of his reaction.

You tried to study his face in order to figure out any emotions or reactions but he had a blank stare on, slowly turning to a soft one with a little smile.

"I would like to confess my feelings too then," he played with his fingers nervously trying to find the correct words to express himself, " I've liked you for close to a year now and I've never had the courage to tell you because you started going on those dates and I was scared of sounding jealous so I kept quiet"

After that you pulled him in for a hug, inhaling the scent of the expensive cologne he loved so much and he tightened his arms around you.

After that, you stare up at him and reply,

It was around 3 a.m when jay heard something knocking on his window, he thought it was his mind playing games as he had been studying for an exam for the past hour or so and he was slowly losing it. After a few more knocks he went to check and saw little rocks falling on his window and then to the pavement. Next thing he saw was you standing on the pavement outside his house and searching for rocks around you.

𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘦, he thought. Shaking his head, he opened the window and stared down at you

"You're trying to break my window aren't you?" he shouted.

It startled you as you lifted your head and smiled as you saw your boyfriend.

"Nah, just trying to catch my boyfriend's attention" you shrugged.

That made jay giggle, he loved it when you called him your boyfriend, it made him feel like the feeling he felt every time he saw you was mutual.

"That was cringy bro" you said as you entered jay's apartment.

"So I'm bro - zoned now?" he put his hand over his heart and acted as if he was crying.

"No~" after that you hugged him. You had honestly missed jay, you hadn't seen each other for some days as you both had to catch up with some studying for finals.

"Do you want to go for a midnight drive?"

"You came here for that? I thought you wanted to invite some ghosts, you know, 3 am and stuff?" He laughed.

You also laughed as he hugged you this time and he started kissing the top of your head and smelling your hair.

"Do you want to go on a drive tho? Also, are you smelling my hair?" You laughed into the hug which made jay giggle as he mumbled a small "yeah"

"Are we taking my car?"

"Yes, did you see mine outside?" You sarcastically asked him as you watched him get his car keys and his black bomber jacket.

With that, you opened the door and waited for him to close the lights and you left the house, now heading to jay's car.

"Seatbelts on?" He looked over at you.

"Yes" and with that, you left for a drive to god knows where.

You loved the peace of the night, people were going or leaving their workplace, others were having fun and others will be having trouble remembering in the morning. Others were loving and others were feeling loved, some where leaving the town and others were just arriving, new chapters ahead of them.

Jay turned the radio on, one of your favorite songs playing and you turned the volume up, not caring about the people criticizing you or cursing at you because at that moment, you felt so happy. Your boyfriend that you loved, the night sky, your favorite song and a night drive.
