Wondering how they'll react once they're freed..

I wanted to try and work out Aym and Baals backstory for my AU. I made it before the update and it differs from canon. (Canon is merely a suggestion u_u)

They were members in Rataus cult, and his most devoted followers. So when Narinder asked Ratau for a sacrifice they basically volunteered.

Their mother lives by herself and accepts her childrens decision to devote themselves to their god, but she is still sad to see them go. Because she was so heartbroken Ratau talked to Narinder and he gave them 3 days to spend with their mother before they leave.

I have this head cannon when Leshy is first indoctrinated he has trouble differentiating sounds and will constantly ask "what was that?" or "what made that sound." and sometimes asks for the lamb or someone else to repeat the sound so he can remember for later. after X amount of time where Narinder is used to the idea that his younger brother is there to say he constantly messes with him. Example:

*someone digging with a shovel and hits a rock or something making a clanking noise.*

Leshy: "What was that?"

Lamb; "oh just a shovel. don't worry."

Leshy; "I didn't get a good hear of it. Do it again.'

Narinder: "say less bro." *whacks him upside the head with a shovel*

(possible fic idea but idk lol)

Good grief.. "Congratulations! We're all dead all along!"

Your day off shall consist of your sleep deprived brain making you believe that the last 100 years were an elaborate prank devised by satan himself, rather than your irl family being disappointed in you for not living up to ungodly high expectations.

I have my rescheduled spinal procedure coming up on friday so I'm not gonna be able to draw for a short period, but there's some REALLY good asks in my inbox about this comic so I'll see if I can do those before the big day. Every time I do a big angst comic I'm kinda blown away by the response, I keep saying it but genuinely it means the world to me when I see people giving their thoughts on my art like this. For this specific comic I've gotten multiple asks, tons of comments/tags, a couple drawings and even a short fic??? Like I lose the ability to speak I get so flustered. I love these characters a lot so I'm just happy I can make something of them that resonates so much with people.

Kallamar is definitely getting a rest from angst after this, idk when I'll be up for another one of these long ones but you guys will know cause I'll put up a poll again >:)

Okay I hope the more lighthearted asks earlier offset this comic, I had to rewrite the sticky note scene and almost cut it because the original was like. TOO angsty so I hope this version still conveys the point without being overly dark

ANYWAY. The older sibling instinct to reach your breaking point in front of the rest of the family, but ignore it until you're alone and physically can't take it anymore <3 I LOVE OLDER SIBLING ANGST!!!!! It's vindicating getting to write for someone who feels indebted to everyone else because "it's what older siblings do", and feels selfish for wanting a break. I don't think shamura like parentified kallamar in any way but I feel like since they're the second oldest, everyone immediately expected them to be a perfect leader after shamura's incapacitation. I'll touch up more on that in the next part

The audio is from metalocalypse and it's SO WEIRD hearing these voices come out of the bishops because they fit oddly well imo. NOT SHAMURA AS TOKI THOUGH. THAT IS A CURSED PAIR THAT CAME ONLY FROM A LACK OF OPTIONS.

Kallamar's ears still work (minus the tinnitus + vertigo), but it's hard to listen when everybody's yelling at you about how you shouldn't help them, but also that you SHOULD help them, but ALSO that you're bad at helping and that you should take care of yourself better but not let that get in the way of you helping them, and- *implodes*. KALLY YOUR DAY OFF!!! IT'S HAPPENING SOON!! HANG IN THERE!

Also guys I fucked UP I thought there was 6 parts to this comic but there's only 5. These panels are separated into 30 different canvases so it's a fairly easy mistake to make imo. The real part 6 is the friends we made along the way ✨

My wife's follower form design. I kept the arm bandages that were on her eldritch form. She doesn't have wounds there, but her shoulders sore a lot, so she bandages them or Lamb does it for their wife <3

ALSO my friend and i had some conversation about bishops human forms, so i tried to make a human Heket. I'm imaging her having short curly hair and some freckles. And that's all i guess. Nothing much, the hair is my agony in making human designs for them. Maybe i'll make other bishops as human someday

This were my previous spouses, where I finally got to name em all

1st Spouse (Wendi O): They were the first but they have that mischievous trait which made them continously steal my money. I believe I almost lost 1000 gold from it, before realizing that ressurecting them is a mistake

2nd Spouse (Alty): They and me were an accidental marriage after I forgot whom proposed to me which made me fail their request (Hategre's Request).

But as time passed, I realized and compared how better and diligent they were than Wendi.

I had ressurected them multiple times, before I stopped recently after getting to marry all bishops

3rd Spouse (Hategre): Though optimism as they are, and diligent, I have only married them out of request even if I failed it, and to simply boost faith.

They died shortly after they got old right after the marriage and died, where we haven't really built a bond, thus why I did not grieve much.

4th Spouse (Hejul): After ressurecting them a 2nd time.. I do not remember how I married them, is it out of request or I simply picked them because of their back fur which resembled the Bishop of Death's fur.

Diligent and Efficient they work, we had not built any close bonds, I don't even remember showing much affection to them.

Overall, 2nd Spouse, Alty were one of the best marriage I actually had on the game
