I was looking at the math for one band (KOVEN, they're great, check them out) I like so much Youtube thinks I'm in the their top 0.1% of all listeners. If I listened to them on repeat for basically an entire summer - 8 songs an hour, 8 hours a day, for 90 days - the world's loudest Introvert-Extrovert tag team would have earned $1.15 from me. (Websearches gave me a 0.0002/stream rate currently). That's obviously an over-estimate, even in brain-rewiring obsessions I listen to other stuff occasionally - but you see the point, right? Life-altering levels of love of their music, and I wouldn't even have gotten Katie and Max a cup of coffee each. Buying one of their EPs probably got twice that to them, immediately. You can see why Katie's always on the road doing DJ stuff - that pays actual money.

one of the more bleak things to acknowledge is that if you pirate literally all of your music and then set aside a spotify subscription's worth of money each month to spend on a single pay-what-you-want album, it would almost immediately amount to you supporting those musicians more than streaming does

Been working on my Necrorando collection, making fun little folk to hang out in the underhive. Most recently I have painted an auto-scrivener (unnamed) and a mutant Bounty Hunter ('the Rat-Catcher'), and built an ex-Escher Rogue Doc mixing AoS and Necromunda bits. Particularly happy with the Auto-scribe's scroll-work. Nothing fancy since the writing is all sculpted detail on the original model, but a few drops of red ink have done a lot of work!

"A common leftist critique of superhero comics is that they are inherently anti-collectivist, being about small groups of individuals who hold all the power, and the wisdom to wield that power. I don’t disagree with this reading. I don’t think it’s inaccurate. Superheroes are their own ruling class, the concept of the übermensch writ large. But it’s a sterile reading. It examines superhero comics as a cold text, and ignores something that I believe in fundamental, especially to superhero storytelling: the way people engage with text. Not what it says, but how it is read. The average comic reader doesn’t fantasize about being a civilian in a world of superheroes, they fantasize about being a superhero. I think my first fandom fandom exposure was arguably livejournal, but before that I was in a university RPG society, and before that I was making a weekly pilgrimage to Games Workshop to play games and talk about games, so I think "local club" is an honest answer, also this sentence is too long and must end soon.
