Karuta time!

Good news, I got another set of cards passed to me, so once again it’s time for the next set of Karuta Cards from Sinbad no Bouken. As always, this is an amateur translation. I’ll do them in sets by letters as they become available to me. Today is the T.

Ta- [I] become depended on like a mother of everyone.. たよりになるみんなのお母さん。

Chi- Don’t ever call me things like pipsqueak. ちびなんていつもでも言わせませんよ。

Tsu- Gradually raise the skill of the plunge*. つっこみの腕もじょじょに上げてます。

Te- Enemy officer grimaces, also uneasy. てき役も楽じゃないよとしかめ面。

To- Drakon's real name is very long. ドラコーン本当の名前はとっても長い。

KARUTA TIME

Hello any and everyone who’s been following my translations of the SInbad no Bouken Karuta cards. At this point, all of the letters have been released. Congratulations! However, I am still misisng the first sets of the cards. These sets include (Listed in both the English set and the actual Kana):

Any one who further wishes to provide the Karuta cards to me so I can go back and translate the original sets, please send me a message with the files. I will only accept image files, so please don’t send zips. If for any reason your message is not going through, please send me an ask with your name and I’ll get back to you. I request good quality images and require both the front and the back of the card in its original Japanese. Also, please include a link to your blog so I can give you the credit you deserve for the cards you provided. Thank you everyone for your support, and anyone who helped me fix translations ^-^. I hope you’ve all enjoyed the Karuta Card Translations.

Next set of Karuta Cards from Sinbad no Bouken. As always, this is an amateur translation. I’ll do them in sets by letters as they become available to me. This set will likely be the last set uploaded for some time. Today is the W set including N by itself.

Wa- I don’t understand... Timidly Unite Duo. わからない・・・　おっかなびっくり二人組。

Wo- Unidentified deep crimson pupils invoke mystery. 謎を呼ぶ正体不明の真紅の瞳。

N- “Adventures of Sinbad” Regards the future! シンドバッドの冒険これからもよろしく！

Some pictures of Yunan~ Some of these are really early works, some of these are more recent. The artists for the original line art are as follows

1. An Icon taken from the labyrinth of magic manga. Owned by Ohtaka-sensei. 

2. I’m not precisely sure if this is accurate. The furthest I could trace the line art back to was Zahedra Henderson on Pintrest. So I believe that’s the original artist. Please feel free to let me know if you find someone else as the source. The line art I took can be found here.

3. Again, not precisely sure who the original artist was. I had downloaded it through Pintrest which stated it was saved from Tumblr. The only version I could find of it on Tumblr was this which I’m hoping is the original one. If anyone can give me further information please send it to me.

Ya- Across the mountain, across the valley, long journey to Artemirya やま越え、谷越え、道のり遠い　アルテミヤラ。

Yu- Yunan manifests the disappearing mystery many travellers. .ユナン現れては消える謎多き旅人。

Yo- Welcome! Mysterious land Heliohapt. ようこそ！神秘の国エリオハプト゚へ。

Next set of Karuta Cards from Sinbad no Bouken. As always, this is an amateur translation. I’ll do them in sets by letters as they become available to me. This one took a while because I was having a lot of trouble with it... Today is the R set.

Ra- Roaring Thunder Lightning Sword, Masou* Baal! らいめい轟かす電光の剣、魔装バアル！ *The word here is masou (魔装), which translates as “devil’s instrument” or “demon’s tool” The exact translation is uncertain, so I left it as was, but it could mean Djinn or Metal Vessel? Edit: Mari M Rose states that Masou in this case is translated as Djinn Equip.

Ri- Ria Venice Island, the capital of one shot reverse gambling. リア・ヴェニス島一発逆転賭博の都

Ru- House sitting, entrust it to the chamber of stock**! るす守る、商会のことならお任せを！ ** A leap of words. “Koto” (こと) means things and “stock” is things of the store.

Re- Valefor ability is reiki of water stagnation. れいきの波動停滞の能力ブアレフオール。

Ro- Young and old, men and women, people are attracted to SInbad. ろう若男女人惹きつけるシンドバッド。

Old pic again. THis one is primarily an experiment with glow effect. To make it look like she’s irridescent. The original line art can be found here but I’m currently still looking for the original artist. The blog it links to does not contain the original image, and if I recall from earlier attempts, is not the original holder of that name.

Macaron Priestess with Detail images

Time for some new pictures, and boy was this one hard. Took me a few weeks to finish because of all the texture details that went into it, but it’s finally up. The original line art for this can be found here and is done by the wonderfully talented Chpi from Deviant art, however the colouring was mine and done on my own. Hope you like it,~ Enjoyed doing all the textures for the fur and the eyes, hardest part arguably were hte tear ducts in the eyes and the texture for the macarons. The fur was actually really fun to do.

Mi- Even Mistoras spearmanship is number one rank! ミストラスこれでも槍術ピカイチです！

Mu- Silent when he goes to help, this Mahad. むくちでもお役に立ちます、このマハド。

Me- Standing out is inevitable!? Sinbad’s honorable troupe. めだつのは必然！？　シンドバッド御一行！

Mo- Forest strike is a deadly blow, Hinahoho! もり放ち一撃必殺ヒナホホだ！

Starting today I’m going to be translating the Karuta Cards from Sinbad no Bouken. As always, this is an amateur translation. I’ll do them in sets by letters as they become available to me. First up the H set.

Ha- It is good to have the king form one leaf. は王誕生葉つぱ一枚あればいい。

Hi- Pipirika loves her sister-in-law and brother. ピピリカは義姉さん兄さん大好きだ。

Fu- Fatima is the head slave of Mariadel Company ファチマーはマリアデル商会の奴隷長。

He- Snake meat is a valuable food to eat. へびの肉貴重な食料召し上がって。

Ho- The truth is I really want to be friends. ほんとうは仲良くなりたいほんとだよ。

Last one from the old colourings. This is Blood Dupre and Elliot March from Wonderful Wonder World. Really alovely picture, and I’m quite proud of how it turned out in the end. The original artist for this is the series illustrator Hoshino Soumei. I don’t own anything but the inspiration to colour

Another old one. Honestly I don’t like this one, but I do like the colours of it. I really feel like I was lacking when it came to the boarder. The line art is by a AnotherYou on Deviant art. Unfortunately, they have since deleted their account, and cannot be linked back to directly. If someone knows any information on the original artist, please send it to me. In the meanwhile, here’s a photobucket version of the original lineart.

Another old colouring, best viewed on a black background. This was a huge experiment with complex lighting. The original image is by Tremblaxx at Deviant art, and can be found here. I don’t own the line art, just the idea behind the colouring.

More catchup. This project was playing more with lighting, different colouring options, and backgrounds. I felt like bob ross doing this one~. Again, don’t own the line art, but just the idea behind the colours. First time playing with freckles. The original line art can be found here by Sabinerich on Deviant Art.

Another old picture I did. These are two differnt colourings of a faun picture, mainly used to test fur texture, but also for another character. The original lineart can be found here and is by rapunsal at Deviantart. I don’t own the line art, just the idea behind the colours. It’s not very expansive, but I like the pop of green against all the brown.

These are past drawings, but I figured if I’m going to have a colouring section, might as well catch up first right~? Meet one of my RPing OC’s by the name of Cassia. I’m really proud of the shading and everything on this one. Textures. Also this was my first time doing white hair.
