Sam offhand using, “well I’m older, so what I say goes,” during an argument and Quorra immediately disagreeing with him. Because yeah, Sam was technically “born” first and he’s older in the real world sense. But Quorra’s lived thousands of cycles on the grid, so in that sense she’s existed for longer than Sam has. They argue about it constantly, to the point that even Alan’s heard the discourse. So to shut them up one day Alan just says, “you’re twins. Now cut it out.” And it’s kind of stuck.
It became such a thing that Alan bought them ‘thing 1’ and ‘thing 2’ shirts for Christmas one year. They wore them in the Bradley family Christmas card.
And when someone at work asks Sam, “Who’s the girl?”, motioning to the picture of Quorra on his phone.
He always shrugs and says, “Oh that’s my sister. We’re twins.”
Yes! I also want to point out that the little trance Gabriel goes into in episode 4 when he's remembering things is paraphrasing the book of Revelation! "The dead will leave their graves and walk the earth once more and there will be great Lamentations." There is a part in the Bible where the sounds of trumpets and instruments and other things mark the second coming of Christ, and the dead rising from their graves is ALSO one of the signs (I can't remember if it's before or after, it's been a WHILE since I've read it). And coupled with the zombie Nazis, the living dead? It was all foreshadowed and I just love that for once all that miserable reading and sermons throughout my childhood and teen years gave me at least some knowledge for this wonderful show specifically. However, the thing that really sticks out to me is the word "lamentations" which gives off a more...dark interpretation. I was under the impression when I first read the book that it was meant to be a happy thing. First the dead would rise to join Jesus, and then the living. So I wonder if Neil's interpretation will be something more out of a horror movie. I can't wait :) Sorry to hijack your post op, I had some thoughts and you sparked them!
I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out yet, but in Season 2 episode 3 (aka the grave digging episode) Aziraphale drives their Crowley's car. In the car he's listening to classical music and the piece he gets to play is 'Danse Macabre' by Camille Saint-Saëns. And if you don't know the 'Danse Macacre' it's a classical piece from 1874 and the French title translates to 'dance of death.' The piece itself is in a minor key and has a lot of strings that gives it an almost playful yet dreary tone. It's often interpreted to represent the resurrection of the dead, no matter the walk of life, and then dancing around graves. The overall message is basically that death is inevitable and no one can escape from it, that it doesn't matter who you are, all things come to an end.
So anyways, I recall Neil Gaiman or someone (sorry if it wasn't you Neil, I can't remember if I saw it here on Tumblr or in one of the several Good Omens interviews) that everything that happens in the show is deliberate. We all know it's deliberate that Crowley listens to Queen/the Bentley turns all music into Queen (sorry im not doing this explanation justice) and we also know that Aziraphale seems to like classical music. But I think there's a darker meaning almost to him listening to the 'Danse Macabre' and that maybe there's just subtle hints all through the season that the end is inevitable no matter how desperately this angel and demon try to prevent it. Or maybe it's even that this whole time it was telling us anyways that Aziraphale was bound to become Supreme Archangel. Or maybe it's just because this episode is about grave robbing, digging up the bodies that died and using them for a new purpose (also considering the grave robbing episode takes place in the early 1800s, before this piece was composed but still) and the piece is actually just to set the tone of the episode. Or maybe it's different all together.
Either way, I think it's important to note the piece he's listening to and the story the piece tells and it's relevance to the story as a whole.

Hey guys I made an FMV :)
Have you also been feeling down about the ending of Good Omens 2? Well look no further. This probably will still make you sad. Enjoy!
Ooh time for my first ever post that isn't a reblog - exciting!
So, a while ago now, I came across a post about Gabriel's statue which pointed out what seemed to be a blatantly obvious continuity error. For the life of me, I CANNOT find that post again and so I am going to attempt to recreate it here because I just noticed something else interesting related to Gabriel's statue. If you are the original person who found this, please let me know and I'll credit you!
Edit: I found the original on reddit! https://www.reddit.com/r/goodomens/comments/17tjfdc/spot_the_difference_statue_of_gabriel_s2e6/ Right, so, have you ever looked very closely at the scenes of Gabriel and Beelzebub in the graveyard during Gabriel's flashback? No? Well, here are some clips of these scenes I want you to take a close look at, taken in order they're shown:
Why is the cross missing??? In the distance shot, there is no cross. In the closer shot, there is. Then we switch back to the distance shot and it's gone again. Just for clarity's sake, when we see the Gabriel statue in any other scene, yes the cross is present.
I know there have been many ineffable continuities mentioned by other posters (such as clocks, chairs, rugs, road markings, Crowley's glasses, Maggie's store signage etc). It's still up for debate about how many of these actually mean anything, or if they are genuine continuity errors. However, I find it VERY hard to believe this is a continuity issue... in any other show I could believe that, sure. But the Good Omens team is detail-focused and this is a huge missing cross on a statue that was specifically built for the show. Why would you have the whole scene set up in the graveyard, but without the cross ready, and then not bother to fix it in post? So the above is what I read in someone else's blog post and I'm really sorry that I can't recall where to find that. However, here's what I want to add. The Gabriel statue appears at the end of the opening credits and guess what... :
The cross is missing the top half! What does any of this mean? Who knows? Not me, that's for sure. Is it something to do with S3? Is it some comment on a religious theme? Are Gabriel's memories faulty when they're restored? Several others have pointed out that there are some suspicious things shown in the memory restoration sequence. Why is Gabriel bearing a cross in the first place? If you have any ideas let me know, I'd be interested to hear them!
Regardless of the statue, you might be wondering what is this part of the opening credits all about? The parade of characters is being led by Crowley and Aziraphale up this rickety mountain made of what seems to be a trash heap with a whole bunch of religious iconography scattered through it and a Lady Libertas (aka what the Statue of Liberty is based on) appearing opposite the Gabriel statue here. I always wondered what this whole sequence might be about, but I've seen very little written about it. If you're interested, here's this post from @lady-of-the-puddle. There is a lot of interesting imagery in the opening sequence, that's for sure!
