Hidden Beneath My Ribs

Hidden Beneath my Ribs

A self-indulgent bkdk fanfiction :)

It was all boiling up to this very moment. I looked up into ruby red eyes and felt my gut squeezed tight. My heartbeat was so loud, nothing but the steady thump could be heard. Then breaking through the deafening panic of my heart, a shaky breath captured all my attention.

Against my mind's better judgment, I reach out my hands to capture his big hands in my small damaged ones. He intertwines our fingers together, squeezing past my crooked knuckles. I know despite how scared I feel, I smile at the thrill he never failed to bring me.

Katsuki Bakugo was my everything. Now he knew he was. He was everything I wanted. He was everything I craved. Now he towered over me, coating my skin in goosebumps and igniting my skin.

Something possessed me, making me tilt my head. The magnetic force that was Bakugo Katsuki enticed me to come closer. He met me halfway, letting go of my hands to capture my face. His hands gently guided me to him, his thumb dusting over my freckles.

It felt like time stopped and started instantaneously. My mind went blank as all I wanted to do was indulge. He was perfect. Flawless in every way shape in form. His choices and actions have molded him into a person I wouldn’t trade for the world. His hands, his heart, his dumb spiked blond hair, his sharp eyes, and his lips. Oh god, his lips.

I cry as he kisses me. I grip the fabric of his tee, pulling him closer. I want to feel his heartbeat pounding against my chest. Our lips part, but our bodies remained pressed together. He looks at me and I feel the emotions swarming in his expression.

All I can do is cry as I declare my love like a mantra.

“I love you. I love you. I love you.”

In exchange for my declaration, warm, strong arms encase me as a gruff whisper reaches my ears and fills my heart.

“I love you too.”

I hide in his embrace, unable to fathom how lucky I am. I am beyond blessed to have someone so special, so irreplaceable, love me back. I’ve lived in a world where Katsuki didn’t exist and it’s a world I can’t say I’d survive long in.

I’m so overwhelmed, that my crying doesn’t relent. I’m so grateful.

“Why are you crying?” he asked in an uncharacteristically gentle voice.

“Because I’m so happy.” I cry, tilting my head to peek up at his face.

I feel his heart thump, thump against my skin. His heart is beating just as fast as mine. All it makes me want to do is kiss those addictive lips again. He beats me to it, capturing me in a kiss that made my knees buckle. Still, I want more.

Green. My favorite fucking color. It took me too long to realize that I couldn't function without him. A month without him and I was falling apart at the seams. He radiates a liveliness that takes my breath away. His beauty makes it hard to breathe.

Now he was in my arms, smiling as I kissed him. His knuckles against my back, sending a chill up my spine. That feeling had never been more welcome than it was at this moment.

Everything about him was addicting. He was an irresistible craving that was always satisfied, but I still want more. Now that I knew he felt the same, I didn't have to hold back. I could love him in all the ways I wanted to. That thin line that had been holding me back was now nothing more than a memory.

Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. Two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly. It took them three tries, but they snapped into place on the fourth. They were a pair that only fit each other and not even fate could change that.

The End! I was sad and lonely so I wrote this.

Taming A Bitch

For Plot Reasons, Izuku's dating a random OC

I, Izuku Midoriya was the pushover nerd at Aldera Junior High. Pushover was an understatement, but I digress. I was bullied by close to everyone in this school, verbally that is. Physically, I was bullied by a trio I've known since I was a toddler.

For Midoriya, things had always been that way and from the looks of it, things would continue to be that way.

It wasn’t until Midoriya's 2nd year of Junior High that he came home one day to see his mother packing boxes. His dad was home and they were moving into a bigger house. They were far enough away that it was ideal for Midoriya to switch schools.

Midoriya had been through three major changes in one single day. A new home, a new school, and a new relationship with his Dad. Hisashi was overjoyed to be home, sitting at dinner and wanting to know everything he had missed while he was away for business. Midoriya was happy to talk, glad his Dad was back from Germany, and openly excited to be home.

Midoriya was overjoyed with the sudden lavish lifestyle. He and Inko had lived comfortably in their small apartment with their minimalistic life before. Midoriya had a larger room to fit more bookshelves and All Might merchandise. It was a very exciting discovery of Midoriya.

The best thing that had happened out of it all was Midoriya sat between Inko and Hisashi as they all huddled together on their gigantic lounging couch.

Midoriya started his new school and quickly gained the interest of everyone around him. Midoriya stayed quiet about his academic ability and interests. It was safer for him to be boring than to be targeted for his interests. This caused people to label him as the mysterious new kid.

Midoriya was quite fair and was relatively reserved and shy. It wasn’t until he got his first love confession that the majority of the guys assumed he was a girl. Midoriya couldn't blame them considering he never talked.

Midoriya had to unfortunately explain that he was a guy and that he was uninterested in dating. He had been asked out as a prank far too many times to allow himself to even consider accepting a confession.

Midoriya's attitude quickly got everyone: boys, girls, and genderqueer people to ask Midoriya out. People were desperate to see Midoriya chose someone. Everyone who asked genuinely liked Midoriya and wanted the chance to get to know him better.

Midoriya developed a friend group outside of school. Midoriya also, as usual, had new haters inside of school. It wasn't a concern of his considering he has the help of the staff and his peers to get him through the dumbasses who wanted to make him miserable.

It wasn’t until Midoriya was in the middle of a sleepover that he not only realized he liked feminine clothing, but he liked the rush the attention gave him. If he hadn't been dared to crossdress, he would've never known.

Midoriya grew more confident as he started dressing up more for school, putting on more “feminine” accessories and clothes. He tried all types of styles. Everyone loved to see what new ideas he had for outfit ideas.

Hisashi was very accepting of this new side of his son and even offered to take him shopping. Every Saturday the Midoriya's would go shopping and have a family day.

Popularity in school grew despite Midoriya's lack of friends. Midoriya had one single person he was close with. It was the class president Naito Matsuta. Everyone thought that the two were dating after months of the duo spending every second they could together.

What nobody knew was despite them being in a relationship, they wanted to try some things out and decided to have an "open" relationship.

They spent the most time together because of their responsibilities as President and Vice President of their class. It was only the occasional times when Midoriya was busy or Naito was busy that the two went to other people.

Midoriya outside of Naito, had found a person who craved their attention. The duo liked not having any strings attached as it made things easier.

What Midoriya wasn’t aware of was during some time in their time of going out occasionally, the guy had gotten into a relationship. The relationship he was in was not an open relationship and Midoriya was a side piece that the girlfriend never knew about.

When word got out, it blew up. Everyone accused Midoriya of being a home wrecker and that he was a whore. Naito heard the news and was quick to help clear the air. Naito explained they were dating, but had an open relationship to relieve additional stress.

Midoriya discussed that they had been meeting each other far longer than he had a girlfriend. Once everyone realized Midoriya was not at all to blame, they backed off and went after the boyfriend even though that's what they should've done from the start.

The guy must’ve convinced his girlfriend Midoriya was some crazy psychopath as the two remained together and the girl despised Midoriya. Midoriya didn’t see her as a threat as he maintained his high status, popularity, and position as Vice President.

Naito had grown more protective of Midoriya after the incident. The two quickly agreed to close their relationship, more than content with one another.

Now that people knew they had a chance, they persisted in asking Midoriya out and requesting a hookup. Midoriya continued to reject people and soon started explaining he wasn't in an open relationship because of the incident.

Gima had tried spreading rumors, but no one believed her. Midoriya’s old playtoy, Hiroto Toyozo, would still try to meet up. Inko and Hisashi didn’t know anything had been going on so they happily let Hiroto inside to wait in Midoriya’s room until he got home.

Izuku had called Naito sobbing and Hiroto was banned from the house. Hisashi almost killed Hiroto, but Inko stopped him before he could get his hands on the boy.

It wasn’t until Midoriya and Naito had to interact with the crazy girl that Midoriya saw her as a threat. She had this snide smirk and always had her gaze focused on Naito. Nonetheless, the duo remained unbothered.

There had been a competition going on all over Musutafu where aspiring directors were to write an play. Whoever wrote the best play would have their creation performed in front of all participating schools (only certain classes attended the show). It was a big deal, to say the least.

This prissy little bitch, Gima Erisa, the crazy girlfriend, had won. She was getting permission from the President and Vice President for some unknown reason. Naito was unimpressed, going to excuse her. Midoriya stopped him and challenged Gima.

“Why do you need our permission? If your play is appropriate, then there should be no reason or us to give you permission hmm?”

Gima felt her face pale, she had been caught. Midoriya knew if she made one wrong move and it hadn’t been approved, she could be expelled without question. Naito noticed this and smirked, resting a hand on Midoriya’s thigh and squeezing.

“Yes, there is no reason you should need approval. You will be representing our school so we have high expectations of your play Misa. Now leave, we have important matters to attend to.”

Their “important matter” was them giving each other their undivided attention for way too many minutes. They finished their paperwork shortly after.

Weeks passed and soon the play arrived. The participating schools arrived. It consisted of four schools. Midoriya’s school, Rebun Junior High, Katsuro Junior High, and then Aldera Junior High. The schools flooded the biggest theatre in the area and were all excited to be out of school for half the day.

As President and Vice President, Midoriya and Katsuro High School were seated in the front with the other school's Presidents and Vice Presidents. They had all met each other on several occasions for school fairs, academic competitions, sports, and other extracurricular activities.

They had all gotten along perfectly and became a close group of friends. They all knew about the situation revolving around Naito and Midoriya and were highly supportive through all of it. The President and Vice President of Aldera Junior High apologized for their past mistakes which were later forgiven.

The adult staff was in the back, they were the first line of defense if anything happened. Midoriya and Naito were called to the stage to give a quick rundown of what was happening, how they were amazed and proud of all participants, and thanked for the school’s cooperation for showing up.

Midoriya quickly went over safety and evacuation procedures in case of emergencies along with explaining the roles of the staff and them as Presidents and Vice Presidents in the case of emergencies.

Katsuki Bakugo’s eyes met Midoriya's figure and instantly felt himself freeze. He hadn’t seen or heard of Midoriya since Mitsuki told him that Midoriya moved.

Bakugo didn’t think Midoriya was still nearby when she said “moved” so he was pretty stunned to see him. Midoriya was in their school uniform which consisted of a grey collared shirt with a black vest, and a red pleated short skirt, with black tights.

Naito was wearing black trousers, a grey collared shirt, and a black blazer that had red accents. Their calm and kind aura was misleading considering they were the definition of a scary power couple. Midoriya’s confidence in being gender nonconforming and Naito's confidence to eye fuck him was everything.

They made their way down to their seats after receiving applause and regrouped with their friends. The play quickly started and Gima was on the stage.

It only took five minutes for Midoriya to realize what she was doing. It took ten minutes for the rest of Midoriya’s school to realize what was happening. Everyone else was left in the dark but was eating up the performance.

Midoriya and Naito were already agreeing that Gima would be expelled for how inappropriate the play was. The six others sitting with them were quick to agree, appalled at how low Gima stooped. It seemed that the performers were even caught off guard by the play.

“She’s going off script,” gasped one of the Presidents.

Midoriya’s nails dug into chair arms as they watched. He was trying to restrain himself and not go up there and claw Gima’s eyes out. The actors noticed what she was doing too and none were willing to cooperate. Gima slowly realized nothing was working how she hoped it would.

The aggressive behavior of her body language and voice had Midoriya on their feet.

At one point, she snapped at the actor who was in the role of Midoriya. “You home-wrecking bitch! If you could’ve just been satisfied with one man then none of this would’ve happened!”

Midoriya felt his eyes widen and his heart clenched in his chest. Naito looked at Midoriya in distress, wanting to make sure Midoriya wasn’t going to cry. All of the other presidents and vice presidents looked over all well, all worried for Midoriya.

What none of them expected was to see the look of humiliation and rage in Midoriya’s eyes. They all were now worried about the state Gima would be in once Midoriya was done with her.

It progressively got worse to where the actors started to actually argue and yell at one another. The crowd watched, mesmerized. No one knew this wasn’t supposed to be happening so this was spectacular acting in their eyes.

“You ruined… everything! You stupid slut!” shouted Gima, looking directly at Midoriya.

Unable to stop himself, he shouted back. “I’m the slut? You’re the fucking slut fish-lips!”

The group of his friends were all gasping and shaking Midoriya, cheering him on for defending himself. The crowd was confused. No one but the students at Midoriya’s school knew where to look to find the person who belonged to the pissed-off voice.

The majority of the crowd cheered for Midoriya, loving the scary side of their class's vice president. This got some others from the random schools to cheer as well.

Gima felt her eyes widen a bit, realizing there was no turning back. This performance would be her last after she’s expelled per request of both Midoriya, Naito, and the rest of the schools' presidents and vice presidents.

It wasn’t until Gima physically attacked the uncooperative actor who was supposed to dehumanize Midoriya as a person, that Midoriya snapped. Rising from his seat, at the side, Midoriya vocally hissed.

“That’s enough. This is ending now.”

Midoriya marched up the side steps of the stage, tossing off his heels swiftly with each step he went up. Gima noticed and started running. Midoriya made a straight beeline for her grabbing her by her collar and throwing her backwards.

The crowd roared in the section Midoriya’s school was in. The three remaining schools all felt their jaws drop at the sight of a vice president playing a part in the performance.

Bakugo and his two lackeys Hifumi and Tejio watched in amazement. Midoriya was confidently running on that stage, in a skirt, with an enraged expression. This was not the "Deku" they knew.

“Dude, I don’t think Deku’s acting,” whispered Hifumi excitedly.

“Deku looks fucking pissed,” laughed Tejio, enjoying this way too much.

Bakugo knew that look all too well. He had seen many occasions where Inko wore that haunting look of rage when her son got hurt. Midoriya wanted blood, and Bakugo wanted to see Midoriya get that.

The presidents and vice presidents were chanting, “Beat her ass! Beat her ass!”

The group of students from Midoriya’s school were also cheering on Midoriya. Many of them knew Midoriya wasn’t acting which resulted in their scream cheering. This amount of support directed towards Midoriya shocked all of Aldrea’s students.

They had never expected Midoriya to rise in popularity in a way that would influence a whole school. They couldn't be too surprised after the initial surprise to see he was the vice class president at his new school.

Midoriya looked at her in disgust as she scurried to her feet like a pathetic coward. She couldn’t face him, she knew she’d fail at wherever he tried to do. She got blocked by one of the actors and when she turned around to run, Midoriya was already there.

“Fuck you!”

Clap!

Midoriya had drawn his hand back and sent it flying forward into Gima’s face. Gima stumbled back from the force, immediately holding her face with the incredible sting that spread across her entire cheek.

Everyone gasped. Some people jumped and others went wild, scream-cheering and clapping at such an excellent performance.

Gima ran and Midoriya bolted after her, from what the audience could see, Midoriya tackled her to the ground. Midoriya held her to the ground while shouting at one of the people backstage to send out her understudy.

The group panicked, having no other choice but to freestyle everything as they weren’t willing to mock or insult their vice president.

Finally being free to do whatever they wanted and put their creativity to the test, actors went wild. No one could deny they were completely entertained. Still, despite the show put on before them, everyone was waiting for Midoriya to return.

Naito eventually got up from his seat, quickly getting out and searching for Midoriya. Midoriya’s black heels were still laying on the stage, evidence of the unknown fight. Midoriya had been in the back hall teaching Gima a lesson.

The both of them were roughed up, Gima had a slightly bruised eye and a busted lip. Midoriya had scratches across his cheek and skinned elbows. Gima had been crying when Midoriya settled on disciplining her.

They sat alone in the hallway as Midoriya explained everything that had happened. Midoriya even explained how her boyfriend had assaulted him barely over a month ago.

Midoriya explained the trauma she and her boyfriend had brought him when none of the situation was his fault. Gima broke down crying and Midoriya glared at her before breaking his streak of silence.

“You’re expelled and so is your boyfriend,” informed Midoriya swiftly, ending their talk. Gima threw her perfect record away for a boy who cheated on her.

Midoriya turned down the hall only to run into Naito. Naito rushed to Midoriya, holding him closely. Midoriya sank into the touch and cried, fed up with the situation. Naito teared up as well, feeling horrible for his significant other.

Naito cupped Midoriya’s face and kissed his cheeks, nose, forehead, his tears, and his closed eyes. Midoriya couldn’t help but laugh as he cried, cheeks glowing a light red as he was flustered and embarrassed.

Naito grinned, pulling Midoriya close again. “You did well. I stopped by the headmaster and explained that what happened wasn’t a part of the play and that the play was to humiliate you. She will be officially expelled not only for hurting you, but for risking tarnishing the school's reputation.”

Midoriya relaxed at the news, thanking him for informing the school’s headmaster of what was going on so he didn’t have to. Naito guided Midoriya to the bathroom to clean the scratches on Midoriya’s cheeks and to bandage the skinned elbows.

Midoriya quickly fixed himself up and made sure to dab his eyes with cold water to assure no one could see he had been crying.

Opening the doors to the auditorium, Midoriya was soon stopped by the headmaster. Before anything could happen, the headmaster whispered an apology to Midoriya for not doing more to prevent the issue from happening. Midoriya whispered back his gratitude for the apology and took Naito’s hand in his own.

The couple walked down the aisle back to their original seats. The group immediately huddled Midoriya, making sure he was okay in heavy silence. Midoriya let them all know he was okay and focused back on the completely unscripted performance.

The performance was a wreck. It had started genuinely well except for the fact the pay was written to make Midoriya look like a sex-obsessed home wrecker. Then it turned into an unhinged war with everyone fighting until Midoriya stepped in a smacked the shit out of Gima. Then the actors went completely freestyle and used the fight as a way to turn the issue into the plot into an enemy-to-lovers romance.

Midoriya squeezed Naito’s hand, glad it was all over.

The play quickly came to an end as two of the actors came together for the closing kiss. The curtains slowly closed and the audience cheered loudly, enjoying every second of what they had watched.

When Midoriya and Gima failed to come onto the stage for the performer's bow, most people grew suspicious of the fight. While they had no way to prove it, they got excited at the thought that what they had seen was an actual fight.

Midoriya was standing beside Naito. The duo was beside the headmaster as people left. They thanked everyone for coming and watching. Everyone in return thanked Midoriya, loving the actual entertainment.

Eventually Aldera Junior High was exiting and Midoriya continued to thank them, pretending as if he had never met any of them before. Bakugo stopped before the desk alongside the other two bullies.

“Deku.”

Midoriya raised his gaze to meet Bakugo’s eyes. Immediately growing embarrassed at the fact his bullies had seen him, Midoriya looked away.

“Kacchan.”

“Next time, punch 'em in the throat,” grumbled Bakugo, hands stuffed in his pocket.

Midoriya's eyes gazed up to see Bakugo, Tejio, and Hifumi. It was foreign to see them not showing any malice or judgment. Shoulders relaxing, Midoriya kindly smiled.

“There will not be next time as she is expelled,” chuckled Midoriya, enjoying the comment.

“Good.”

“Yeah! I could tell she was bad news from the start!” boasted Hifumi proudly as he crossed his arm.

Midoriya grinned, dusting off his uniform. “It was very unprofessional of me, but I had to defend myself and keep some of my dignity.”

“It was so badass dude!” declared Tejio while shaking a fist with a puffed chest.

Bakugo narrowed his eyes at the two before looking back at Midoriya. “Nice to see you are doing something useful for once. Also, come by sometime the old hag misses you.”

“Tell Aunty I’ll swing by sometime. I’m sure I can get a ride.”

Naito wrapped an arm around Midoriya’s shoulder, grinning. “I’ll drop you off one day after our duties.”

“That would be wonderful!”

Bakugo glanced over at Naito and couldn't help but feel relieved to know that Midoriya made some good friends. Midoriya could read Bakugo's expression and grinned, glad to know Bakugo cared. Naito couldn’t help but be nervous as Bakugo was a hella intimidating guy.

“Bye loser,” huffed Bakugo, suddenly turning away and heading out of the school.

“Bye Kacchan,” sighed Midoriya, rolling his eyes.

Hifumi rushed past, quickly waving to Midoriya. “Bye, dude.”

“See you,” murmured Tejio, his cheeks a little flushed from embarrassment.

Naito nearly collapsed, shooting his gaze at Midoriya. “That blond guy is scary. How do you know him?”

“Our parents are close friends. I’ve known him since I was a little kid. His growth spurt served him well,” noted Midoriya, seeing Bakugo was taking his training seriously.

Midoriya and Naito stayed together all the way through Junior High. Things were a little different in their third year when Midoriya started training with All Might but had to keep it a secret. Midoriya was taken the bus to visit Bakugo but got attacked by the sludge villain on his way. Then he talked to All Might, got rejected by his idol, and ended up saving Bakugo from the same villain.

Izuku knew it was a lot of traveling, but he would go over to Musutafu every morning to train at the Takoba Beach Park with All Might. Hisashi was very approving considering Midoriya explaining he was training with a pro hero, but had to keep it private for safety reasons.

Once Midoriya got into UA High and was busy with training and school, things with Naito naturally fizzled out. It was too stressful of a time for the both of them to be in a relationship. Midoriya was obviously sad, but it wasn’t like Naito disappeared from his life.

Midoriya gained a lot of confidence after moving schools so Midoriya wasn’t insecure about his placement in U.A. High. Midoriya made a lot of friends and had a good reputation. Sometimes Midoriya’s sassiness would come out whenever he was dealing with Bakugo or was in the middle of a villain attack.

Who would've thought that a video would leak halfway through his first year at U.A. High? It was the notorious battle between Midoriya and Gima. While Mina and Kaminari wanted the juicy details of what caused the fight. Iida and Uraraka were highly concerned about the video.

All Midoriya did was shrug with a smirk, shooting Bakugo a knowing look. “Had to tame a bitch.”

My Survival Can’t Depend On You

I may be fourteen, but shit happens.

Hisashi Midoriya died. Inko Midoriya was unfit to work. Izuku Midoriya couldn’t get a job. Inko had many health problems which resulted in her being unable to get a job for her own safety. Izuku was not only too young to get a well-paying, full-time job, but he was also quirkless. No one would hire a young quirkless teenager, it just wouldn’t happen.

Izuku wasn’t doing well. Aldera Junior High was a nightmare that he couldn’t escape even when he got home. Cyberbullying chased him in his home and terrors flooded his dreams. To top off his horrible life, Izuku’s secret boyfriend disappeared randomly. No letter, no text, no nothing.

In a state of despair, Izuku gave himself up. Izuku applied for a bunch of rich men looking for a husband. Izuku matches with a twenty-three-year-old being pressured by his family to marry. He was kind and well-spoken. Inko refused to allow the marriage to happen at first, not wanting her son to take the bullet for her. Unfortunately, she had to give in when she realized this would be the only outcome. The only difference would be her existence.

Inko says no, gets a job, and dies. Izuku would be left alone and would get married to survive anyways. Inko says yes, doesn’t get a job, and lives. Izuku would have her support and would be in a smartly planned arranged marriage. This was the better outcome.

Inko surprisingly got along well with her son’s fiancé’s family. Izuku and his fiancé had similar interests and easily got along. The pairing wasn’t the end of the world even if it felt horribly wrong deep down. Izuku had been promised they wouldn’t have to do anything sexual. The marriage was to keep the money rolling in and the family's company in good standing.

Izuku got married within a month of the agreement being finalized. The wedding was glamorized. High-profile idols and celebrities were present at the wedding. Izuku was adored by all, considering his innocent and harmless personality. Izuku was energetic yet kind, making him a magnet for people. He was also headstrong yet easy to compromise with so differences could be put aside and deals could be made with ease.

Izuku and Inko moved into his fiancé’s mansion. The entire family lived there considering it was a ginormous home. The family's name was Tominaga. Yuji was the first name of Izuku's husband. As much as Inko and Izuku hated to admit it, the marriage made them happier. They were no longer alone, brought into the high-status lifestyle by the Tominaga family's new and old money.

Inko now had friends and a good support system. While Mitsuki and Masaru were still good friends, neither bothered to keep in touch. Izuku had a person that would be by his side through thick and thin. Izuku was also introduced to popular celebrities and made his way into the hero world through connections. Soon his ex left his mind as he focused on his husband and helping him with his work.

Aldera became more manageable. Izuku's last name changed so it was now Midoriya-Tominaga. They agreed to combine last names. The principal had a meeting about the situation and found Izuku's situation heartbreaking. Teachers also found out about the name change and didn’t know what to think about it. Some teachers were the same age as Izuku’s husband. The thought of Izuku marrying someone as old as them made them uncomfortable on Izuku's behalf. How could Izuku be married to someone their age?

The school year continued, Izuku met All Might, and Izuku continued climbing upwards. Everything came to a standstill when Izuku spotted Gima Iori, his ex. School had just ended and people flooded outside the campus. Gima was standing a bit before the gates, seeming to look around for someone.

Gima's head turned in Izuku's direction and their eyes locked. Izuku felt a wave of emotions wash over him and soon all he saw was red. The world around him disappeared as he stormed forward. His breathing picked up as betrayal struck his gut.

“Izuku.”

Izuku's fist flew out before he even had a chance to think about it. The one word he wanted to say more than anything beautiful slipped from his lips. “Motherfucker!”

Gima’s head snapped from the hard punch, yelping in pain. “Jesus!”

Everyone standing around outside the Aldera building stopped and watched Izuku punch the shit out of this random guy. Katsuki and his two lackeys Aikawa and Ugumori were stunned into silence. They had been following after Izuku to bully him on his way home. They watched as his pace picked up. They watched him approach someone they didn’t know. They watched him punch the guy into oblivion, sounding beyond pissed.

Izuku pushed a hand against Gima’s face and shoulder before shoving him harshly. Izuku's mouth was turned into a deep frown as he yelled, “Where the fuck have you been?”

The group of students took a moment to look at the guy. He was drop-dead gorgeous. He had stylish black hair that fit the fashion trends. His uniform was red and grey, consisting of a blazer, undershirt, tie, and some slacks. Izuku's punch did some damage as the guy's hair was roughed up. The guy's nose was broken and his lips were busted so some blood decorated his face.

No one knew who he was, but they wanted to.

“I’m bleeding!” complained Gima, touching his face in slight disbelief.

“You disappear! You don’t return my calls!” screamed Izuku as he smacks Gima’s head. Without missing a beat Izuku continues. “My texts—!”

“I had something come up,” grunted Gima in defense, remaining vague about what the problem was.

Izuku visibly didn’t like that answer and wore a pissed smile on his lips as he back-hand-slapped Gima. Gima stumbled, nearly falling from the force of the blow. “Oh! Fuck!”

Katsuki stiffened, watching Izuku attack this stranger with the anger of a thousand gods. He exchanged a look with his two pals and they all looked equally as bewildered. Izuku was cursing, fighting, and making a scene. He never once did these things and avoided them at all costs. To see him doing it so mindlessly made them weary. Whoever this was really crossed Izuku. From the sounds of it, it seems like they’re a backstabber of some sort.

Izuku cried in anguish at Gima. “Fuck!”

Gima ducks away, shouting at Izuku. “Stop hitting me!” Gima rubs his face, trying to soothe the pain in his nose and to check if it was broken.

Izuku took his chance and kicked Gima from behind in his ass.

“Ah! God damn it, enough!”

Izuku kicked him again, resulting in Gima backing away more. “Enough! With the hitting.”

Izuku's fists were clenched, staring at Gima like he was scum. Gima was nothing more than gum on the bottom of Izuku's shoe. Gima swallowed hard and stared at Izuku as he anticipated another attack. Students stood around, whispering and murmuring about what was happening. Some recorded the fight to send it to their friends.

The guy held up a finger, signaling Izuku to wait. “Are you done?”

“Where Gima? Where?” shouted Izuku, anger still visible, but a mix of hurt and confusion is just as present as he searched for an answer.

Gima nodded his head, coming up with a stream of lies. Their conversation died down and wasn’t very easy to hear so some people left, not interested anymore. Many remained, wanting to see what would happen.

Izuku raised his hands to emphasize his point. “For weeks for months?”

Gima nodded, stepping forward. “About a year. On a boat, on a cruise actually.”

“And not a call? Not a text?” accused Izuku, his voice raising again at the bullshit explanation he was being handed.

Gima grew angry upon seeing Izuku wasn't buying his lies. He started yelling nonsense, something about being handcuffed and having a bucket or something to piss in. No one present was buying his elaborate story as well.

Katsuki scoffed, pointing at Gima. “This extra is a fucking idiot. Who would buy that pathetic story?"

“Yeah man. Seems like this Gima dude ghosted Midoriya and is trying to come back like nothing happened,” agreed Ugumori, enjoying the sight of Izuku holding his own.

Aikawa sighed, looking at Izuku. “You’re onto something… but it’s not adding up. Why would Midoriya be so angry about something like that? There has to be more to it. Midoriya never gets angry like this.”

Midoriya lip trembled in anger, getting in Gima’s face. “For a year?”

“For a while, yeah,” spat back Gima, trying to sound convincing as he continued to ramble.

Gima walked around Izuku, causing Izuku to face Katsuki and the others at an angle. Gima was rambling about nonsense and Izuku clearly wasn’t relenting. He looked in a state of disbelief, unable to comprehend Gima’s stupidity. Gima’s performance showed Izuku he thought Izuku was nothing more than a forgiving idiot who had no self-worth. Gima thought Izuku was stupid and that enraged Izuku. Izuku rolled his eyes and scoffed, “That’s bullshit.”

Gima continued talking which was a bad choice as his story got more and more unbelievable. Everything that happened was a stretch and impossible. All it sounded like was an excuse. And that’s all it was: an excuse.

“Then who the hell was that bitch I saw on your account? Yeah, in that post you magically were able to take a picture in the middle of your traumatizing experience?” questioned Izuku, crossing his arms to close himself off. Izuku glared, as he leaned forward in a dominant manner.

“My partner!” yelped Gima. His cheeks heated up as he was caught in a lie.

“Your partner? As in your new play-toy?” remarked Izuku condescendingly, glaring at Gima.

“No, my partner as in crime! And shit, you’re one to talk. You got married!” shouted Gima, spilling the secret Izuku kept in front of everyone.

Conversations halted, cameras stilled, jaws dropped, and breathing stopped. No one believed what had just come out of Gima’s mouth. There was no way Izuku was married, let alone in a relationship. Izuku was a quirkless loser who wasn’t even close to being a legal adult. Gima had been spewing nonsense the entire time so Izuku being married was hard to believe when it came out of Gima's mouth.

Izuku shot back immediately, all his emotions out for the world to see as he bled. He leaned forward, his frown deep as the wrinkles on his forehead appeared from his scowl. His eyes were full of hate, pain, and shame.

“What was I supposed to do? Was I supposed to sit on my porch knitting, hoping one day for you to show back up?” yelled Izuku, the resentment in his words sending chills down everyones spines.

Just like that, Izuku had revealed to everyone that what Gima had said was true. Izuku was married. Izuku also revealed Gima was Izuku's ex-boyfriend and that Gima had ghosted him. Gima was an asshole and Izuku somehow got caught up in a marriage in under a year from the sound of it.

Tears were falling down Izuku's face as he yelled, jabbing his hands at Gima. “You disappeared! Gone! Nothing!”

Katsuki watched Izuku lose his shit. Katsuki stood there, seeing the dam of pent-up emotions flooding Izuku's senses. Katsuki saw the destruction that Gima had caused Midoriya. Katsuki stepped forward a bit, finding the power to move again under the tension of the situation.

Gima pinched his nose. Looking at the sky before letting his eyes trail back to Izuku. “I think you deviated my septum.”

Izuku smiled at him in disgust, crossing his arms. “Good. You’re lucky I didn’t have a knife.”

The comment Izuku made caught everyone's attention. Izuku was never one for violence. Izuku was always talking about wanting to save people and become a hero. Mentioning he would’ve stabbed Gima if he had a knife was the very opposite of the Izuku everyone knew.

Izuku raised a hand to his face, wiping the tears that rested on his cheeks before shaking his head. “Oh, Jesus fuck.”

“I know, I know,” sighed Gima, the guilt and disappointment twisted in his sullen expression.

Izuku stepped back, looking away from Gima. “I can’t even look at you right now.”

“Trust me, I didn’t want to see you either. Finding out your boyfriend is married is the last thing you want to hear,” recalled Gima, making Izuku the bad guy.

Katsuki glared at the asshole, feeling blood boil. “No way this bastard is about to pin this all on Deku.”

“Sorry dude but it seems like that is what’s happening,” sighed Aikawa.

Izuku glared at Gima, pointing. “You don’t get to act like a poor little victim. I know you were happily fucking around on the cruise your disgusting job bought you.”

Most people at Aldera got excited, happy Izuku wasn’t going to let Gima step all over him. Even Katsuki found himself smirking.

“I didn’t even want to get married!” revealed Izuku, throwing his hands out.

“Oh really? Then why did you?” sneered Gima, demanding an explanation he didn’t deserve.

“You proved to me that my survival can’t depend on you. You fucking left without a word. While you were gone my father died and we had no money. My mom couldn’t get a job because I’d rather have her live. So I married a rich guy. Yuji can actually take care of me and my mom financially! I can help him with whatever he needs and I get food on the table, a house over my head, and my mother by my side!”

Katsuki let out a defeated sigh. The truth finally hit him. Izuku was married to some random man and was stuck in a loveless marriage. He never heard about the wedding which meant Inko didn’t even tell his mother about it. This meant Izuku and Inko were going through all of this absolutely alone. Izuku had to sacrifice his love for a random marriage. Izuku didn’t even know what dating felt like and suddenly he was dressed in white and told to walk down the aisle for hundreds to see.

While dread overcame Katsuki, he enjoyed Midoriya insulting Gima indirectly. He also was proud of Izuku for saying everything he did for himself and Inko. Izuku made a big sacrifice for him and his mother's safety and health. Izuku made a selfless choice which as result made Gima look like a huge asshole.

Gima stilled, eyes widening at the information dropped on him. Trying to deflect his guilt, Gima scoffed. “So what? Instead of working an actual job, you turned into a whore?”

It was clear Gima and Izuku were still in their own world because many gasps could be heard. People’s phone’s all shook in rage at how big of an asshole Gima was. Katsuki and his lackeys felt themselves get pissed.

“Gima, are you fucking stupid? I’m quirkless.”

Izuku's hostility surprised Katsuki. For Izuku to call Gima stupid for telling him to get a job was shocking. He and the rest of the class had always mocked Izuku for wanting to be a hero. What no one had thought about was his inability being unable to get a job, let alone a position as a police officer.

Gima rolled his eyes. “All I’m hearing is an excuse. Marriage is meant to be out of love, not convince.”

Izuku rolled his eyes back, letting out an exasperated sigh. “I’ve always known I would marry rich. If I marry, might as well be a rich person. Why would I be ashamed of that?”

“Because you’re sleeping around with a grown man for money.”

“There is no “sleeping around” and there isn’t really any love right now. It’s a business exchange.”

Breathes of relief could be heard when Izuku revealed nothing sexual occurred. The marriage was strictly business. Izuku got money for being married to Yuji and Yuji got money because his status as a married man helped the business. Katsuki felt his fists fall and his breathing even.

“Yeah and that business exchange could also be you working a normal job,” argued Gima, showing he was really bitter about Izuku moving on.

“That’s not possible. I’m quirkless… and as a quirkless person, there’s no way for me to make my own money. Not enough to earn a living or to support my family. And if I had my own money—which I don’t, that money would belong to my husband the moment we got married. And if we had children, they would be his, not mine. They would be his property. So don’t stand there and tell me that marriage isn’t an economic proposition because it is. May not be for you, but it most certainly is for me.

Gima stood there, failing to come up with anything to say. He had been grasping for straws, but he finally ran out. Gima was fumbling out a bunch of grunts and embarrassed huffs. He had embarrassed himself in front of everyone.

Katsuki immediately found guilt nagging him in the back of his head. He had thought he was the worst of it, but discrimination goes deeper than bullying. Izuku clearly had been thinking about his future for a long time, weighing his options. It was being a hero or nothing at all for Izuku. Suddenly everything made a lot more sense. Marriage was the only other way he could make a living since no one would hire a quirkless person for a well-paying full-time job.

Many of Izuku's peers didn’t realize the marriage situation for a quirkless person was significantly different than anyone with a quirk. While quirk marriages were illegal to protect people with quirks, quirkless people were brushed under the rug. Quirkless people could be sold off, owned, or thrown away and the government wouldn’t blink an eye. Being protected by the rich was the only way to survive. Izuku wanted to live for himself by being a hero.

Izuku cleared his throat, wiping his face to erase any hint of care he had for Gima’s existence. “You treated me like shit. I’m happy you ran away because I want nothing to do with you. If wanting to keep my mom healthy and alive makes me a whore, so be it. You’re nothing more than a douchebag who thinks with his dick more than he does with his brain. Get the hell away from my school and stay the hell away for me. Next time I’ll have a knife.”

Gima swallowed hard, frozen under Izuku's glare. Izuku stepped up and sighed, staring at Gima before sending a final blow. The crack managed to echo outside when Izuku's fist made contact with Gima's face. Gima collapsed to the ground, unconscious. Izuku stood over him, looking down at his body with disgust.

“That’s what you get for calling me a whore,” murmured Izuku, rubbing his knuckles.

Stepping on his body before walking, Izuku fixed his hair before disappearing. Katsuki clapped his hands before laughing. “That’s what I like to see.”

Months passed and Izuku got into U.A. flawlessly. Izuku took the recommendation exam. Yuji’s work friend was married to a pro-hero that had attended U.A. and happily recommended Izuku. Izuku remained married to Yuji upon finding the stable relationship comforting. That meant he could easily reject people, avoid worrying about love, and focus on his training.

Katsuki and Izuku had gotten along well after Izuku's stunt at school. People respected Izuku after seeing what he was capable of. Inko reconnected with Mitsuki and Masaru after Katsuki told them about Izuku. That resulted in the duo hanging out whenever Mitsuki and Masaru would visit or Inko would visit.

Katsuki met Yuji and deemed him a respectable figure. He was protective, understanding, and compassionate. They were traits that matched Izuku's needs and the two worked well together. Neither was sexually attracted to the other for many reasons so their marriage seemed more like a dumb marriage pact two friends would have.

Things would work out in the end. Izuku would become a pro-hero. Yuji would find another suitable husband he fell in love with. Izuku and Yuji would divorce. Izuku would buy a place for him and Inko to live that was close to Mitsuki and Masaru’s.

Izuku would finally let himself fall in love. Katsuki would happily let Izuku love him. They’d get together and take things slow. Izuku would finally experience something he’s deprived himself of and grow addicted.

The End.

Inspired by Fiona and Jimmy's fight in Shameless and the conversation between Amy and Laurie in Little Women. They matched up perfectly with the plot I came up with two days ago in the shower.

You’re Not That Special

Bakugo and his two lackeys, Yukimura and Sada, decided it would be a great idea to use Midoriya’s kindness against him. One day, Bakugo slipped a note into Midoriya’s locker asking for him to meet someone behind the school. Even if Midoriya knew it was a trap, he didn’t want to be rude in case it wasn’t.

Bakugo was waiting for him while Yukimura and Sada were hiding around the corner. Midoriya turned the corner, holding the note with a blank expression. He wasn’t nervous and he seemed far from interested that someone wanted to see him. The moment Midoriya spotted Bakugo, he apprehensively continued walking over.

Midoriya was interested, considering it appeared that Bakugo was alone. Bakugo apologized to Midoriya for everything, bowing to further convince Midoriya. Midoriya stared at him in shock, pleasantly surprised Bakugo was apologizing.

Midoriya wiped his tears. “I accept your apology, but it’ll take a while for me to forgive you. You have no idea how much this means to me.”

Bakugo was genuinely baffled to hear Midoriya didn’t forgive him. Something about that drove his hunger. He wanted to play Midoriya until Midoriya said he forgave him. When Bakugo parted ways with Midoriya, he gathered with the other two and laughed. They got Midoriya good.

Time passed and Midoriya was like putty in Bakugo’s hand. Midoriya was easy to mold and manipulate. Midoriya genuinely gave Bakugo the benefit of the doubt once Yukimura and Sada backed off. Midoriya still wasn’t convinced, but he wanted to believe Bakugo was being sincere. Midoriya didn’t want to think Bakugo could stoop that low.

Midoriya was proven right. That in the pit of his stomach, something was wrong. It was a Thursday afternoon. Bakugo invited Midoriya to the back of the school again. Midoriya naturally agreed, seeing nothing strange about it considering Bakugo had been nice. Bakugo confessed to Midoriya, taking his small hands in his bigger ones.

Midoriya’s eyes went wide in bewilderment. His cheeks burned under the hot gaze of his childhood friend. Midoriya never really felt romantic attraction to Bakugo, Bakugo was a bully after all. Midoriya did admire him though, finding him to be a true symbol of victory. His determination and stubbornness never wavered in the face of an obstacle. If he wanted something, he’d get it by any means necessary.

Midoriya still couldn’t help but feel his heart beat pick up, the rapid thumping loud in his ears. It felt like a dream. Maybe he really could fall in love with Bakugo. The blonde did have a charm. Before he could do anything else, Bakugo tugged him in for a kiss. Midoriya squeaked, not appreciating being forced into a kiss he wasn’t prepared for. He didn’t even want to have his first kiss so early on in his life.

Before Midoriya could push him off himself, Katsuki threw him back. Midoriya was having whiplash from all the tugging and pushing, not surprised Bakugo was a bad kisser. When Midoriya’s dizziness subsided and he looked up to Bakugo’s face, the sincerity was gone. The soft expression as he confessed his love was gone. The haunting smile he wore a mere month ago was back.

“Wow Deku. You really thought I actually liked you? Pathetic!”

Yukimura and Sada came out from hiding, cackling like Midoriya’s humiliation was the funniest thing on the planet. Midoriya left dread hit him like a truck. The world stopped. His heart shattered as the last speck of respect he had for Bakugo disappeared.

Midoriya refused to cry, sucking back in his tears. He looked at Bakugo with pure, venomous hatred. “How dare you.”

“Huh? Can’t hear you if you keep mumbling fucking loser,” sneered Bakugo, leaning close condescendingly.

Midoriya hissed at Bakugo, enraged. “How. Dare. You. I knew you’d use whatever you could against me… but my own unpreparedness? I haven’t even forgiven you… and you thought springing that on me was funny?”

Bakugo swallowed hard. He had never heard Midoriya use that tone before. Midoriya’s face had never shown that much disgust before. Midoriya’s eyes never revealed that much rage before. Yukimura and Sada looked just as stunned, not expecting their “prank” to get that reaction. They expected him to cry like a baby and then run away like a heartbroken school girl.

Midoriya couldn’t hold back the tears as the betrayal chewed up his heart. “You stole my first kiss from me without permission—without any indication I reciprocated your feelings. Whether or not the feeling you showed were fake. I wanted to believe there was still some good in you… but Katsuki, you’re a horrible person.”

Midoriya left, holding his head high despite his shaking hands. His knuckles were white from how hard he tightened his hands. Midoriya’s jaw was clenched painfully hard, to the point it made his teeth ache. He was feeling too many negative feelings all at once. He left the campus of hell knowing he would erase his bullies’ existence from his memories.

The next day turned up and Bakugo, Yukimura, and Sada were pulling their usual douchebag stunts like they had before. Midoriya ignored them completely, controlling his overwhelming emotions. It wasn’t until they were dismissed for lunch that the inevitable confrontation occurred.

Midoriya rose from his seat, going to grab his bento when three very familiar chuckles met his ears.

“Deku.”

“Quite rude to ignore people talking to you.”

Midoriya looked up to meet the three with a scowl. He had no time to encourage their fragile masculinity and oppressive mindsets.

“Wow, that’s rich coming from you,” mocked Midoriya, his tone sarcastic.

“Woah. Seems like someone is actually upset,” teased Sada, pushing out his bottom lip to pout.

Midoriya tilted his head to the side and flashed a pissed smile. “Hardly. I’m more impressed you guys have reached a new level of ignorance.”

Bakugo stepped closer, a smug smirk on a his face. “Oo, you really got us with that one Deku.”

Midoriya’s eyes narrowed, his smile dropping in a deep frown. “It’s just an astute observation. Your response is irrelevant.”

“Someone sounds butthurt,” laughed Yukimura, crossing his arms. He was painfully proud of what he had just said.

Bakugo glanced at Yukimura, having a thought triggered by his comment. Smiling, Bakugo towered over Midoriya, failing at intimidating the somewhat shorter male.

“Oh, is this sudden attitude all because I stole your first kiss? Really, you’re throwing a tantrum because I kissed you?”

Midoriya saw red. What Bakugo had done was a form of sexual assault. Midoriya was rightfully pissed about being violated. Throwing a tantrum was the furthest thing from what he was doing. Midoriya drew a fist back and swung.

Bakugo flew back from the insanely strong punch to the nose. He could deep blood drip down, the throbbing overcoming the waves of pain from the punch. Midoriya stood over him, his stare unforgiving.

“Do not act like what you did to me was a childish prank. You live in this make-believe world that I’m obsessed with you. If you opened your eyes, you’d see I stopped looking up to you the moment you put down others to raise yourself on this stupid pedestal of “I was born with the most privilege”. Grow up. You’re not that special,” seethed Midoriya, rubbing his knuckles as he spoke.

Grabbing his lunch, Midoriya snapped his gaze to Sada and Yukimura. “If you ugly, pathetic, weak-quirk losers even try and mess with me after encouraging Katsuki to do what he did… I’ll castrate you.”

The two urgently backed away, covering their small manhoods in fear. Midoriya looked down at Bakugo to see his expression. All Midoriya could do was smile, relishing the sight of a mortified Bakugo. Midoriya stepped over him and walked out the classroom with a pep in his step.

When the two made it into U.A. Bakugo made sure to stay in his place when it came to Midoriya. While he still was aggressive and arrogant to some degree, he significantly toned it down. After all, Midoriya had cracked his high ego and defeated him solely with his tongue. Behind that happy-go-lucky persona, Midoriya was a grudge-holding menace.

Thirst Traps

Mina was devilishly tapping her fingers together as she stared at Midoriya. “Sorry, but you lost the bet.”

“I didn’t even agree to the bet,” argued Midoriya nervously, not recalling Mina even stating it was a bet.

“Nonsense,” hushed Mina, rising from where she was sitting to grab her phone that was currently charging.

Midoriya groaned from where he was sitting. The sound caught the attention of Uraraka who was returning to the common room from filling up her water bottle. “Deku? What’s wrong?”

Midoriya looked up at Uraraka in despair. “It’s Mina.”

“What is she up to this time,” remarked Uraraka with an amused grin.

“She’s forcing me to do something because I lost a bet I never agreed to,” explained Midoriya weakly, sinking into the couch in despair. When it came to Mina, nothing could be done once she had an idea.

Uraraka nodded, sitting down next to Midoriya. “I’m sure it won’t be that bad. Besides, it’s not like she can force you to do anything outside the dorms.”

Relaxing a bit at the reminder it was storming outside, Midoriya took a sip out of his water bottle. “You’re right. It can’t be that bad right? She’ll probably force me to play a little prank on someone or something.”

“Probably, either that or she’ll make you do her homework,” laughed Uraraka, recalling how Mina once tried getting Momo to do her work but was forced to have a tutoring session instead.

Mina rushed back in with her phone and a bright smile. “I want you to recreate this!”

Midoriya raised a brow, letting Mina squish onto the couch with him and Uraraka. Mina had a video pulled up and it was some guy standing in heavy rain strutting, doing air splits, and backflips over music.

Uraraka couldn’t hold back her laugh. Mina immediately proved the both of them wrong when they assumed the dare would be her usual silly antics.

“I can’t do that! I’m going to fall! Besides, if anyone sees me out there-!” argued Midoriya in a panic, trying to do whatever it took to get out of this.

Mina shook her head and pressed a finger against Midoriya’s lips to silence him. “Nope. Look, I’ll be nice, and I won’t force you to wear the big fluffy coat and ripped jeans.”

Midoriya sighed in defeat, not seeing much harm in the dare when no lightning was outside. The only risk was him getting sick and he decided to set down some conditions of his own.

“Have a towel and warm tea prepared for me. If I end up getting sick you owe me katsudon until I’m recovered,” ordered Midoriya, willing to do the dare, but wanting to have some say in what happened.

Mina extended her deal with a wide smile. “Deal! Uraraka, would you be an angel and grab that stuff? I’m going to go out to record this!”

Midoriya wilted, forgetting that Mina loved having everything on her phone. He couldn’t blame her though, some of these simple funny moments were nice to look back on when things got rough. Uraraka smirked and threw herself up. “Fine, but I’m going to need that video for myself.”

Kirishima was curious about what was going on and approached Uraraka. “Hey, where are Mina and Midoriya heading off to?”

Uraraka crossed her arms with a grin. “Mina is forcing Midoriya to recreate some video out in the storm.”

“No way! I gotta see this!” laughed Kirishima, immediately pulling out his phone and texting one of his multiple group chats. He sent the quick message “Come down to the common room immediately, it's important,” to Kaminari, Sero, Bakugo, and Jiro.

Kaminari and Sero came down along with Sato, Ojiro, and Tokoyami. Jiro came down with Momo and Hagakure, and Bakugo came down alone. It seemed that Bakugo thought it was something serious because he practically exploded when he saw the rest of the class wasn’t there.

“What the hell Shitty Hair?” shouted Bakugo, immediately sending off some small explosions.

“Woah man, calm down! Everyone, follow me to the window!” instructed Kirishima, not trying to set Bakugo off even more.

It only took seconds for the group to understand why Kirishima told them to come down urgently. Mina and Midoriya were standing in the open field as rain was crashing down. Mina had her phone held up while Midoriya was doing mind-boggling flips toward her.

While Midoriya could do a perfect split, he had trained kicking enough that he could fake it. If he did an air split fast enough, no one would be able to tell his left leg didn’t perfectly come up all the way. When Midoriya reached Mina he managed to land his last flip without falling and went straight into a backflip.

Once Midoriya stuck the landing of his back flip he took in a quick breath, jumped into the air and shot his legs out, faking the split like a pro.

Mina collapsed to the ground, cackling. Midoriya crossed his arms and looked up at the sky that was dark and pouring down rain. Midoriya then looked down at Mina, said something, and suddenly Mina was sprinting back toward the dorm building.

Uraraka was already standing by the door with towels and warm tea waiting for them in the kitchen. Mina launched herself inside, the rain covering her face and mixing with her tears. “My phone!”

“Yeah, that’s my bad,” chuckled Midoriya, knowing that they had to retake the dance at least ten times before he got it right.

Walking further into the dorm, planning on going to the kitchen, the two froze when they saw the large group standing near the windows. Only the group was staring at them in disbelief and glee.

Midoriya bolted off before anyone could even ask him where he learned how to do any of that. Mina on the other hand didn’t stick around because she had to make sure her phone was okay. She couldn’t lose the video after just getting it!

Midoriya was fresh out of the shower when he texted Uraraka that he was sorry for not sticking around for the tea she made him. It seemed that Uraraka didn’t mind too much, even going as far as to say she’d reheat it and send someone up to deliver it to him.

Feeling bad and not wanting her to go out of her way to do something she didn’t have to, Midoriya frantically typed it wasn’t necessary and it was no big deal. A knock interrupted Midoriya’s guilt as he stared at the typing bubble from Uraraka. Rising from where he was sitting, Midoriya approached his door and pulled it open.

Bakugo stood in the doorway with a wide smirk. “So Izuku. Care to explain?”

Midoriya yelped, backing into his room. “Kacchan! What are you doing here?”

“Pink Cheeks. Now, tell me why you were out there performing like a goddamn acrobat,” demanded Bakugo, inviting himself in with two cups of tea.

“It’s really not as interesting as you may think. Mina told me I lost a bet and she dared me to recreate a video,” elaborate Midoriya swiftly, not wanting to beat around the bush when it came to Bakugo.

“Go figure. Why do you always manage to get wrapped up in her dumb schemes,” grumbled Bakugo, crashing onto Midoriya's bed.

Midoriya smiled a bit, looking at his desk where Bakugo managed to put down the tea without him noticing. “If I knew how, I wouldn't have been out there.”

Bakugo scoffed, staring at Midoriya where he was standing. “Where the hell did you learn how to do a split?”

“I can’t really do a split, but after using my legs so much I guess I got more flexible,” assumed Midoriya. He didn’t know how he managed to get so limber. He did his usual stretches to avoid injuries but didn’t go out of his way to work on flexibility.

“It sure as hell looked like a split to me,” argued Bakugo. It didn’t take a genius to see a true split.

Midoriya smiled, sitting next to Bakugo on the bed. “When the rain clears up we can head to the gym and see for sure.”

“Alright, just don’t cry when you find out I’m right,” professed Bakugo confidently, making a home on Midoriya’s bed.

“You’re an idiot,” laughed Midoriya, finally lying down next to Bakugo.

“Shut up!”

Bullshit

(minor Langst)

“It’s doesn’t matter.”

Lance maintained composure his face dimming with every word someone spoke to him. Darkness in his eyes eventually forced people to stop talking.

“Who gives a shit, God!”

Throwing his hands up Lance almost immediately shoved past his group into the wide crowd of aliens.

“God damn it Allura! You really pushed him over the edge,” Shiro said as a matter of factly.

“Oh, cause I’m the only one to blame idiot! You should start acting like the leader of Voltron and not a baby!”

Pidge glances to oncoming BOM and Keith, “Okay so Lance is nowhere to be found because of you imbeciles and Keith’s coming!”

Hunk sighed, “I’ll go and look for him...”

Lance was now running, he had no idea when he started but he was and he felt like screaming into the vast void in front of him. His head, light, and brain foggy he didn’t know how to feel. How to be Lance.

Rushing out into a giant open field of flowers, resembling blue daisy’s, his mother's favorite flower he felt the world spinning as if everything around him was not functioning. The wind started picking up, developing into a bunch of flower petals soaring through the entire kingdom.

Allura feeling bad decided she was to apologize and lead the entire team to follow Hunk. Yet upon reaching the door Hunk still stood there seemingly frozen at the scene unfolding before him.

Rushing out they all looked for Lance, soon Keith took the lead seemingly urgent and annoyed.

“What the hell is going on guys?”

Pidge crossed her arms, “Would you like me to explain for you, Princess?”

Allura turning with a strained smile, “If you must.”

Pidge smiled sarcastically speaking, “Oh it would be a pleasure,” immediately dropping the attitude she turned to Keith, “so team leader here and Allura have been on his ass all the time and it’s no help that I and Hunk haven’t come to his aid, so he finally snapped and walked away.”

Keith sighed, “I’m getting Lance.”

Lance was in the middle of the field and froze screaming, “Is there something wrong with me!”

Crashing to the soft grass underneath him everything fell, blue flower petals in his hair as he sat there all his freckles glowed.

He spotted Keith looking around frantically shouting out for him, “Lance?”

Lance up a single tear fell down, “Keith?”

Keith’s headshot in the direction of Lance, his gaze heavy like the lives of tons of heroes rested a hand on his shoulder. Lance smiled standing up, “Keith!”

The two sprinted to one another, the months of the two being apart, their friendship had only grown stronger into an unspoken of love. Lance took a running starting run to Keith throwing himself onto him. Slamming Keith to the ground he looked at him, tears streaming down his face as he smiled.

“I missed you, you fucking idiot!”

Keith cupped Lance’s cheek looking down at him a tear of his own starting to form before he leaned down and softly spoke the question already lingering between the lips of the two.

“Tell me to stop.”

Yet all Lance did was wrap his hands around Keith’s neck, a smile decorated on his perfect face, with perfect tears, and a perfect everything.

A tender kiss, one not too long but not too short, Keith pulling Lance up and into a hug they didn’t move.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t here for you-”

“Shut up you’re here now and that’s all that matters to me.”

Pidge and Hunk stood there and after a bit, they joined the hug that Lance and Keith rearranged for. Lance then turned to Allura and Shiro and dragged them into the hug.

“That’s better, exactly the way it should be.”

Keith smirked kissing Lance’s forehead, “Hah, that’s bullshit!”

My face fell, “Damn straight, we had a mission so let’s actually do our job.”

Putting on my helmet I generated my bayard, “Okay let’s see what weapon I’m given today.”

Not my surprise it waited for me to choose, I shrugged deciding to go with a smaller gun. The smaller the gun, the easier it is to attack and aim.

Typing up a message to Lotor as Pidge tried to track down the location of the Galra I smiled brightly under the shaded screen of my helmet.

Keith and I kissed -Lance

Oh, really? I’m so happy for you -Lotor

Thank you now all you have to do is confess to Allura -Lance

Pidge’s voice snapped me out of my activities and made me realize everyone was looking at me.

“What?” I slightly snapped at them. Not used to having them sincerely be interested in what I was doing.

They all looked away to Pidge as she spoke, “I found an underground base Galra are camping at. Probably holding valuable information.”

Nodding I made my way as the map was shared with everyone.

Clipping in my ear chip I decided to call Lotor.

“Hey, I thought you were on a mission.”

“I am just bored, what are you doing?”

“Ah, nothing crazy just organizing my papers and information. The chips crazy jam-packed.”

I hummed in response as he became venting about his skincare and conditioner. I walked around taking down enemies. Ducking beneath a stand I shot at two sentries.

“Okay, so it’s not just me who’s having horrible skin! Besides conditioner makes my hair oily.”

Taking down the last enemy before the castle entrance I smiled, “Sorry Lotor I’m about to meet with the king I’ll call you later.”

“Bye Lance better stay safe for me!”

Hanging up I slammed open the doors scoffing at the weakness the Galra presented before noticing something was off.

The fighting wasn’t over.

Feeling a weight in my hand, I subconsciously knew it was my Altean broad sword.

Brightly I smiled as my eyes lit up, Keith rushes in after me but all I did in response was shrug my shoulders, smirk, and scoff all in unison.

I’m a bold voice I called out. Slashing my sword out.

“This is bullshit.”

Grief

Izuku Midoriya was familiar with grief. Throughout his life, his precious heart loved too much. So when tragedy struck, the pain oftentimes felt unbearable. His generosity was taken advantage of far too many times. His compassion was abused. He lost people faster than he gained. Izuku Midoriya was very familiar with grief.

His father disappeared for a job across the world. Hisashi was too busy to send a text. He was too busy to say happy birthday. He was never there. All he was, was an idea. Only the thought of him existed to Izuku. The grief he felt from losing someone he never knew hurt the worst.

The people Izuku considered friends left him at the drop of a hat. No one stuck around. No one defended him. They changed faster than Izuku could comprehend. One second they played in the sand and in the next they were throwing sand at him. They were no longer people Izuku knew.

Izuku lost the one person he desired the most. Katsuki Bakugo became a star. Something so far away he’d never dream of being able to touch. Katsuki glowed and shined brilliantly. He was perfect in Izuku’s eyes. Izuku would chase Katsuki, refusing to give up. While the new version of his friend wasn’t tasteful, Izuku still knew how amazing Katsuki was deep down.

As Izuku grew up so did his list of losses. Quirkless people that he would meet on social media died. Once he got into U.A. he gained a lot of friends and strong adult figures, but just like in the past, people still left. His teachers died, many heroes died, villains died, and innocent civilians died. Midoriya at one point ran away, having to lose everyone he cared about to keep them safe. He watched the world crumble around him. Some of the people he held closest almost became memories.

Through all of it, Izuku persevered. He dealt with grief in many different ways. His method always changed and alternated depending on what and how.

Izuku was now in the middle of his third year at U.A. and couldn’t have been happier. His friends were alive, his teachers were alive, and villains were at an all-time low since the rise of quirks decades ago. Heroes were still needed by all means, but the League of Villains no longer existed and no war was about to break out.

Izuku had time to visit Eri and Kota more often as his workload was not nearly as big as it was in his first year attending U.A. The kids grew so much within two years. One day Aizawa informed Izuku he would need a babysitter for Eri. Izuku dropped everything to do so. Izuku took her out to the school’s garden, finding it a beautiful day to go outside.

Katsuki and Shoto got asked by Hatsume to go get Izuku quickly. She needed his opinion on some gear she was making for a first-year. They wanted recommendations and Hatsume knew asking the quirk analyst would help shorten down her list of ideas. The duo tracked him down to the garden with Eri after asking around.

Eri was currently weaving some flowers together, mimicking Izuku’s instructions. Izuku had asked about Aizawa and how she enjoyed living with him. Eri was more than happy to talk about her father, but suddenly she went quiet.

“Eri-chan? Is something wrong?” asked Izuku, worried that the chattering girl suddenly went silent.

Eri seemed to be contemplating something before looking up at Izuku. “Mister Deku, I have a question.”

“Go ahead,” encouraged Izuku, knowing Eri would ask no matter what. She knew she could ask Izuku anything.

Eri sat down the half-weaved flowers on the ground and focused on Izuku. “What is your Dad like? I can’t remember you ever telling me about him.”

“Oh, that’s because I never met him Eri. He went away for work before I got a chance to remember him,” revealed Midoriya, speaking to her in a soft tone.

“Why was he away for work for so long?” questioned Eri, not understanding why Izuku’s dad just wouldn’t be around.

Izuku shrugged, weaving Eri’s flowers for her. “I don’t know. His work was too important I suppose.”

Eri frowned, sad Izuku’s dad wasn’t around. “What about others?”

“Others?” repeated Izuku back to Eri, confused about what she meant.

“Yeah. The grandpas and grandmas and stuff. All of those people!” revealed Eri, a chipper grin on her face.

“Well, when I was young… they seemed to leave,” chuckled Izuku, unable to bring himself to tell her why.

Eri’s eyes widened, shocked Izuku was a lot like her. “Why did they all leave?”

Katsuki and Shoto arrived at the garden, spotting the two. They approached and saw the two talking. The expressions on Eri and Izuku’s faces signaled they were having a serious conversation. Katsuki walked right over, shamelessly snooping. Shoto went right alongside Katsuki. He wanted to know what Izuku was talking about.

Izuku was quick to come up with something, anything to keep Eri from getting too upset. He raised his head to see the sky peek through the leaves of the tree they were under.

“Sometimes special people come into our lives, stay for a bit, and then they have to go.”

Eri frowned, scooting closer to Izuku. “But that’s sad.”

“It is,” agreed Izuku solemnly. Izuku returned his gaze to Eri, resting his hands on the cloth of his slacks, smoothing out the wrinkles. He remembers how it felt to lose Toshinori. The news that Toshinori wouldn’t be around for much longer struck him in the gut so hard he couldn’t move. He couldn’t lie and say that it wasn’t hard. He smiled softly at her, tilting his head to the side. “But the bit where they were here was happy wasn’t it? Like Lemillion. When he was around, those were happy times.”

Eri’s eyes lit up, seeing the point Izuku was making. She giggled, a bright smile appearing as she nodded. “Yes! I brought his quirk back!”

Izuku hummed, nodding his head in acknowledgment. He recalled how monumental of a moment that was for everyone. Still, the thought reminded him of the war where no one walked away a winner. He pushed those feelings down, finding unconditional love for the girl he saw as his little sister.

“Maybe that makes it all worth it,” chuckled Midoriya, looking down at the flowers before putting one in her hair.

Eri smiled, touching the flower happily. She could understand what Izuku was saying. She missed Mirio always being around, but the time when he was around was a happy time. It made the time he was away bearable.

Shoto stood there, gripping the fabric of his shirt. He could feel his heart pound beneath his knuckles. The expression on Izuku’s face gnawed at him. The way Izuku said everything so mindlessly made Shoto realize Izuku thought of loss, a lot. Shoto lost a lot in his life, yet he couldn’t begin to deal with the grief in healthy ways. It took outside help to get to the point he was currently at. Even with the help he got, he couldn’t say there was anything that made it worth it. Not losing Toya, Rei, and the list of others he lost.

Katsuki watched with a blank expression. No matter what Izuku did, he couldn’t hide anything from Katsuki. Katsuki could see the strain in that smile. He could see the exhaustion replace the hope that was once in Izuku’s eyes. It made his palms sweaty. The way he felt was similar to the way a person would get when they had an itch they couldn’t scratch.

Katsuki loved Izuku. Izuku was like a porcelain sculpture, handcrafted by the heavens. Izuku's heart was made out of gold and he had the strength that could rival Gods and Goddesses. Katsuki looked at Izuku and drowned in hills of green. Izuku was the human embodiment of green: symbolic of life. His eyes, his hair, his everything.

Katsuki fell hard and Izuku had no clue. He watched Izuku tend to Eri with the maternal instincts he knew mimicked Inko. He knew deep down what Izuku was thinking the whole time. He knew what Izuku went through and how he dealt with losing people. Katsuki knew he had scared Izuku on numerous occasions when it came to “going away”.

Katsuki was about to step up and ruin the special moment, but Eri stopped him in his tracks. “Mister Deku… I don’t want you to go. You’re special.”

Izuku looked at Eri and his eyes widened. “Eri, I’m not going anywhere.”

“But you’re going to be a hero next year.”

“I am, but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving you,” reassured Izuku, giving her an earnest smile.

“You’re not?” sniffled Eri.

Izuku scooped her into a gentle embrace. “Nope. Never ever.”

Eri cried into Izuku’s shoulder, hugging him tightly. Izuku rubbed circles on her back as tears made their way down his cheeks. His smile cracked as he listened to the relieved cries of Eri. Izuku pulled back and tucked her fly-away hair behind her ear before wiping away her tears. “You won’t be going anywhere either. You’re just as special.”

Eri smiled, patting Izuku’s tears as well. “Never! I’d never leave!”

Izuku laughed, rising to his feet and extending a hand out to her. “Good, because who else would I have tea parties with?”

“Yeah, and you can’t leave because no one else can make me candy apples,” threatened Eri adorably, taking Izuku’s hand and jumping up.

Izuku patted her head, smiling fondly. “Speaking of food, it’s about time we get you some lunch. What are you hungry for today?”

Katsuki revealed himself to Izuku and Eri. Todoroki magically appeared beside Katsuki and waved at the two. “Hi.”

Izuku’s face lit up. “Kacchan! Shoto!”

Katsuki crossed his arms. “Hatsume needs your help when you get the chance. Also, I’m making us lunch today. You’ll burn down the kitchen.”

“I’m completely capable of cooking Kacchan,” sassed Izuku, raising a brow. Izuku had cooked before Katsuki on numerous occasions.

Shoto lowered his head in shame. “I can’t cook.”

Eri smiled up at Shoto. “Me neither! We are the same!”

Shoto perked up, nodding at the small child. “We are.”

Izuku was distracted by the two’s little scene and smirked. “Well, neither of you has to worry about that. It seems that Kacchan has you covered since he won’t let me cook.”

“Ha! Don’t try and do that guilt-tripping bullshit Izuku,” roared Katsuki, all bark no bite.

Izuku smiled, shrugging his shoulders. “Just saying the truth Kacchan. Let’s go then, me and Eri are hungry.”

As the four made their way into the main building, Katsuki wrapped an arm around Izuku’s shoulder and bit his chubby cheek. Izuku, used to the violent forms loving Katsuki showed, lightly bonked his head against Katsuki’s.

“Nothing makes it worth it if I can’t have you by my side,” murmured Katsuki into Izuku’s ear.

Izuku’s heart melted at Katsuki’s voice and his words of affirmation. Izuku leaned his head on Katsuki’s shoulder, using his free hand to wrap around his bicep. “You know I can’t live without you either,” whispered Izuku.

Izuku may be used to grief… but he will never be prepared when the time comes he loses the ones he holds the closest for good. But for now, Izuku has everything he could ever want. Eri, Shoto, and Katsuki had everything they could ever want. As cheesy as it sounded, it was because they had each other. They had love to keep the grief at bay or they made themselves believe so.

The End!

(also ignore the fact I referenced a scene from the kid's show Bluey in the episode “Camping” 😭 and ignore the fact that I thought about making a fan fiction because of it 💔 it was emotional okay?)

I’ll Pass

Midoriya was a gem at UA High. No one really knew anything about the mysterious beauty that was best friends with Hatsume in the support department. Still, that never stopped people from blindly pursuing the teen. People were so ashamed when Midoriya rejected them that no one ever told their friends when they planned on confessing.

Countless people have been spotted slipping notes and talking with Midoriya in a quiet area. For some reason, it’s like an unspoken rule that being rejected by Midoriya is so humiliating that if anyone knew about it, it could send a person into a coma.

Class 1-A eventually caught drift of the mysterious beauty who was in the support department. Fortunately for them, they were given an opportunity to approach him without looking too weird. Aizawa, too lazy to deal with it himself, told his students to head to the department to discuss any modifications they needed for their hero costumes. For once, none of the students complained about his laziness.

“Oh, I’m so excited,” beamed Uraraka, happy to finally meet the boy who has the attention of the school.

“Me too. I think this will be a wonderful experience to get closer to the support department,” agreed Iida, unaware Uraraka was talking about meeting Midoriya.

Kirishima waved his hand with a smile. “I just want to meet this dude everyone seems to have a crush on!”

“Agreed dude! I feel like everyone in this school has tried to shoot their shot at Midoriya!” supported Kaminari, throwing his arms to the sky.

Mina looked over at Kirishima and Kaminari with an excited grin. “I bet he’s super sweet! That would explain why I haven’t heard anything bad about him!”

Uraraka nodded vigorously, clasping her hands behind her back. “It would be great to make another friend. I just hope he doesn’t blow us up like Hatsume does,” shivered Uraraka at all the memories of Hatsume’s gadgets exploding when she was around.

Bakugo rolled his eyes at his classmates. At the end of the day, they were a bunch of overly friendly idiots. Still, he was a bit curious to see Midoriya. Since he started UA High, he’d constantly heard about Midoriya, but never saw him

A part of Bakugo was left wondering how Midoriya felt. It must have been a jarring experience to go from being the laughingstock of Aldera Junior High to being the unachievable jewel of UA High. He knew that if he had been in Midoriya’s shoes, he’d kill anyone who asked him out. They were here to become heroes, not worry about pointless things like dating.

Taking the lead, Iida walked into the room. Hatsume happened to have a crush on Iida, so he was the best person to enter first. It seemed that Uraraka had already sacrificed Iida even if he hadn’t been willing.

“Iida!” cheered Hatsume, rushing over.

“Hello, Hatsume. I’m assuming Eraserhead has told you about us coming,” greeted Iida, bowing his head as he stepped in to let his classmates also enter.

Hatsume nodded with a bright grin. “Yeah, I got all hands on deck for class 1-A.”

Midoriya made his way over with a clipboard to where the class was waiting. “Mei, I finished up the blueprints to match your detailing.”

Hatsume grabbed the clipboard eagerly, flipping the pages. “Amazing work Izuku!” Seeming to realize that Midoriya hadn’t really interacted with the hero students in person, she started introductions. “Iida, have you met Midoriya yet?”

Iida was stunned, staring at Midoriya. He completely understood why everyone asked him out. Midoriya was gorgeous despite being arguably plain.

Short, but fluffy green curls with a mixture of black covered his head. His bangs were short and he had strips of hair by his cheeks that curled oh so perfectly. His eyelashes were long and helped shape his big round eyes. His cheeks were coated in freckles with four dark ones in the middle of both cheeks.

“No, I haven’t. It’s a pleasure to meet you Midoriya. I appreciate you putting up with us all year,” thanked Iida, bowing his head to show utmost respect. After all, the only reason they could be heroes is because of those in the support department.

Midoriya smiled charmingly at Iida before waving his hand. “No need to thank me. You hero students deserve the best gear so it’s our fault if it can’t handle the amount of work you’re required to put in.”

Iida grinned, feeling a bit relieved to hear they weren’t being blamed for damaging their gear. They were often reprimanded by their teachers for being reckless even though damage to their costumes should be expected. Nonetheless, Iida commented, “I never thought of it that way.”

“Well, start thinking of it that way now! It’s wonderful meeting you, Iida. I hope you see you around here more often,” chuckled Midoriya, happy to meet someone who wasn’t just interested in dating him. Besides, it was clear he liked Hatsume so he had nothing to worry about.

After introductions were carried out, Kirishima and Bakugo were assigned to Midoriya to gear repairs and upgrades. Uraraka and Mina shook their fist to the sky and cursed Kirishima and Bakugo. How come the good things in life never happened to them?

As Midoriya guided them to his workstation, they finally were able to get a good look at Midoriya. To the surprise of both Bakugo and Kirishima, Midoriya was muscular.

They assumed he was matching Hatume as he was wearing a black tank top. It showed off his developed arms and the outline of his abs could be seen because of the tight fabric. Anything lower was hidden by the baggy uniform. Midoriya had an All Might charm clipped onto one of the belt loops on his waist.

A pretty, red headband was tied loosely around Midoriya’s neck. Bakugo assumed it was to cover his nose and mouth when messing with the equipment. Kirishima on the other hand believed it was purely cosmetic. Midoriya seemed like the type of person to want to work in style.

Wanting to break the ice, Kirishima decided to use the only piece of information he knew about Midoriya. “Is it true you get asked out at least once a day?”

Not missing a beat, Midoriya smiled as he answered, “Not really, no,” as he pulled out his files on class 1-A’s hero suits.

“Wait, guys don’t ask you out?” asked Kirishima with wide eyes, feeling a bit betrayed by everyone who told him about the rumor. It wasn’t that he thought Midoriya was a disappointment after being told he wasn’t heavily sought after, but it seemed that everyone was in on a joke Midoriya wasn’t a part of.

A couple of seconds of painful silence passed. Midoriya licked his finger to begin flipping through the pages before smirking. Slowly raising his head to look at Kirishima, Midoriya clarified, “They do, I just don’t go.

The way those words effortlessly came out of Midoriya’s mouth with such confidence was perfect. Kirishima felt his face heat up and he quickly covered his face with both hands. “You are way too cool.”

While Kirishima was having the time of his life, Bakugo was watching in silence. It was nice to watch Midoriya being his true self without having to worry about being ridiculed. Besides, this was Midoriya’s territory and Bakugo refused to make the same mistake as he did in the past.

Choosing to keep his head down and mouth shut, Bakugo hoped Midoriya would continue to talk casually with Kirishima. He took it upon himself to distance himself from Midoriya, not wanting to bother him any more than he most likely already was.

“Thank you,” chuckled Midoriya as he found the sections about Bakugo and Kirishima in his files. What Midoriya was not about to tell the duo was that he’d already had this conversation a dozen times with all the people who tried flirting with him.

It was quiet for a moment. Kirishima was curious about who Midoriya was as a person, and it seemed that he had one question that would help him know what Midoriya valued. “Is there a reason why you haven’t accepted anyone's confession?”

Midoriya shrugged, putting the book down to look at Kirishima. “Not really. At first, I just wasn’t interested in the people that confessed and I wasn’t ready for a relationship. Now… I can’t trust that the person confessing wants to be with me or if they just want to see if they’ll be the lucky one who is picked.”

Sorrow overcame Kirishima, and he could not stop the frown from spreading on his face. He didn’t realize just how much this situation sucked for Midoriya. It never crossed his mind how Midoriya couldn’t trust that anyone truly loved him because asking out the mysterious support student became a trend.

“That sucks dude,” sighed Kirishima, rubbing his face.

Bakugo rolled his eyes. “Of course, all those stupid extras think it’s funny to play with someone’s feelings.”

“For real! It’s a shame,” agreed Kirishima, not noticing how Midoriya’s head shot up in Bakugo’s direction.

“You really shouldn’t call everyone extras, Kacchan. It leaves a bad impression,” teased Midoriya as he focused all his attention on Bakugo.

“Fuck that shit. I swear this entire school has always been testing our class’s patience, so I have no sympathy to spare. Now they’re treating you as a trophy which is fucking gross,” hissed Bakugo, crossing his arms as he let his overprotective side show shamelessly.

Midoriya let his smug grin slowly soften into a shy smile. He enjoyed having people stand up for him. While he enjoys the attention it brings him, he wishes the attention wasn’t simply objectifying him. He was more than a pretty face and a thing to win.

Kirishima’s jaw dropped. “Bakugo? You know Midoriya?”

Bakugo looked away from Midoriya and scoffed, “I’ve known this nerd since we were little brats.”

“Yeah, we just fell out of touch in middle school,” recalled Midoriya, trying to keep Bakugo from being a target of unwanted attention.

“That’s awesome! If you’ve survived knowing Bakugo this long, feel free to hang out with our class!” cheered Kirishima, ignoring the hissing of Bakugo’s quirk.

Midoriya was glowing as he accepted the offer. “That would be amazing! You all were awesome at the Sports Festival.”

As Midoriya turned all his attention to the suits, Bakugo felt comfortable enough to ask, “So, you still do all that analysis in your notebook?”

“Yeah!” answered Midoriya quickly, not bothering to look up from his stack of papers.

“Join one of our quirk training classes. You’ll be taking notes for the next week,” offered Bakugo, knowing his peers would appreciate a description of their quirk and ways to utilize and improve it.

Not only did Bakugo and Kirishima leave that room with the best model of their hero costume yet, but they also left with a new ally. They achieved becoming friends with the UA heartthrob and confirmed that he was a stunning and smart person.

It was safe to say class 1-A took Midoriya under their wing after he started hanging out with them. It also became a secret bet to see who Midoriya would end up dating. The highest bets were between Kirishima, Bakugo, and Todoroki.

Everyone lost. Midoriya ended up remaining single his entire time at UA High. He knew he was perfect and didn’t need anyone to prove it.

They Did What?

Shinsou and Midoriya had noticeably gotten closer. No one knew what happened to get Shinsou to suddenly open up to Midoriya and accept his kindness. All they knew was something happened between the two and it triggered them to become friends.

Midoriya and Shinsou would occasionally disappear during lunch. That drew some attention and even stirred up some rumors about their relationship. Some believed they simply wandered off to eat lunch together or to spend time alone to talk. Other people believed they were dating and wanted to keep it a secret so they’d sneak off to be lovey-dovey.

Uraraka couldn’t lie, she got a little nervous at the thought of Midoriya being in a relationship. If he was, she'd accept it. It would take her a while to move on but she’d never risk losing Midoriya because of jealousy. Iida didn’t care at all, as long as it didn’t interfere with Midoriya's learning and training, then there was nothing wrong. Tsuyu was, of course, rooting Midoriya on. She was one of the people who believed Midoriya and Shinsou were dating or moving towards that. Todoroki was confused, he didn’t understand his jealousy and he didn’t know what to do with it. He planned on talking to Midoriya about it, he would be the most understanding out of the group about this. Besides, Midoriya helped him before, he could help Todoroki again.

Shinsou and Midoriya were the talk of the hero department and the general department. The General Department knew better than to stick their noses into Shinsou’s affairs. Class 1-A was another story, they had no boundaries and were ignorant when it came to knowing when to keep out of other people's business. Hence, why Midoriya considered himself the number one secret keeper in the class.

Midoriya managed to keep his relationship with All Might secret and the secret of his quirk even though it was so obvious. Like, it was kinda embarrassing. Although, passing down quirks was unheard of, and they don’t even really know about the depth of All for One and One for All. Either way, they didn’t even really care to understand Midoriya’s quirk, and they didn’t even flash an eye at the fact he shattered his bones every time he used it. No one knew anything about his past, such as the bullying. No one knew that Bakugo, the rising star of U.A., had bullied him. No one knew about the fact he never met his father and has no relationship with him. No one knows what All Might had said to him. No one knows he fought the sludge villain to save his back-stabbing childhood friend. No one knew anything. All they knew were the basics and Midoriya’s mannerisms. Yet, secrets only stay secret for so long when you tell someone them.

Todoroki finished up his soba quickly, quicker than usual. He stood up and turned to the others, “I’ll be taking my leave. I’m going to go look for Midoriya.”

Uraraka looked up at the dual-colored boy and immediately agreed to join him, “I’ll come too! I’ve been wondering where Midoriya disappears off to.”

Tsuyu grinned, shooting back her chair, turning her attention to Iida, “Let’s go Iida! I’ve been dying to know if the rumors are true! Besides, Midoriya deserves a relationship, and Shinsou is definitely worthy in my opinion.”

Iida shot up out of his seat after finishing up what was left on the tray, “Let’s go. I would like to congratulate Midoriya on his relationship status with Shinsou!”

Their lunch shift was 50 minutes and they had around 20 minutes remaining. It offered them a nice chunk of time to look for Midoriya. They stopped and checked 1-A, and then 1-C only to find they weren’t there. They then checked the rooftop where Midoriya often was found thinking or studying. He wasn’t there oddly enough. The only spot they could think of where food was allowed was the library. Making their way into the library there were a couple of students there, all studying or just relaxing. As soon as they were about to give up they heard speaking. Peeping through the openings between books, they spotted them.

Midoriya was aggressively flipping through pages frustrated. Shinsou was scanning through books and sitting them on a pile for them to list.

“Why are they covering this up? Everything from All for One to discrimination on the quirkless is being covered up! It doesn’t make sense!” ranted Midoriya, growing frustrated.

Shinsou stood up, staring at Midoriya with a soft stare. “Well, when we become heroes, we could use our platform to finally spread information.”

Midoriya bit his lip, closing the book. “See, uhm. We may not have enough time for that. All for One can literally attack at any given moment, and the public needs to be aware of him! He’s the mastermind behind all villains and there will be a panic. It just doesn’t make sense on why they-.”

Shinsou waved his hand in front of Midoriya’s face. “Hello? You good?”

Midoriya slapped the book closed, rubbing his face. “I’m an idiot. I just realized why they are covering up that he’s still alive, but what I don’t get is why they refuse to tell the story of how he rose to power.”

Shinsou paused, thinking to himself before an idea struck him. “His power was associated with the sudden appearances of quirks, right? So since there is the discrimination of the quirkless currently they try to not talk about him since he was the one stealing people’s quirks from them?”

Midoriya nodded, picking out a book. “Yes. All Might had told me when quirk started to appear some people couldn’t handle it, and it resulted in people shutting down and becoming zombies.”

Shinsou raised a brow, asking a question softly. “Why are you and All Might so close? Like— no offense but why would he sit down and tell you about hidden information?”

“Well, as you know I was a late bloomer. Quirkless up until entrance exams. All Might basically trained me after an incident we encountered together. Between you and me, I think All Might is preparing to fight All for One. I think he’s preparing for me to realize his career is coming to an end,” revealed Midoriya, his shoulders sagging as he finally vented.

“That’s... rough. I mean! It’s amazing he trained you and all but, now you’re in the middle of all of this. How long have you been keeping all of this to yourself?” questioned Shinsou, slowly worried for Midoriya’s mental health.

Midoriya grinned, sitting back down. “I never told anyone anything before. I trust you Shinsou. I know I can relate to you about discrimination and bullying. I know you’ll be an incredible hero and you’ve worked so hard for everything.”

Shinsou leaned on Midoriya, offering some comfort. “Still, you’re incredible. You managed to rise to the top with only what a measly 3 or four months of having a quirk? You literally shatter your bones and don’t complain while others in your class act like babies.”

“I think everyone in my class is great! They all have their strong suits built differently! They’ve all had different experiences and they all have different needs. Since I was physically abused growing up, my pain tolerance is a lot higher than others.”

Shinsou narrowed his eyes, taking Midoriya’s hand and tightly gripping it in a protective manner, “I swear—.”

Midoriya squeezed back, opening his mouth and then closing it. Taking a small breath he finally spoke out. “Kacchan once told me back in junior high... to take a swan dive off the roof of the building. He said hopefully I’d get a quirk in my next life. I then got attacked by a sludge villain under a bridge when heading home from school. I almost died, but right as I was about to tap out All Might saved me. We ended up on the roof of a building and All Might told me I’d never be a hero without a quirk. I was so close to jumping, I had stood there for maybe ten minutes contemplating whether I was going to jump or not. I chose not to. I loved my mother too much to hurt her. Yet, Bakugo was attacked by the sludge villain. No heroes on-site even tried to help. So I did. Quirkless little Deku saving a boy who would beat me up and belittle me every second of every day. The hero’s shunned me while they praised Bakugo. Yet, All Might caught me on my way home. My bravery and impulse won him to train me, to help me become the best hero in his image.”

Shinsou suddenly turned Midoriya to face him, before Midoriya could even process what was happening. Cold lips pressed against his warm ones, covered in drugstore chapstick. Yet, Midoriya leaned into the kiss with a relaxed smile, his hands creeping up to wrap around Shinsou’s neck. Shinsou rested his hands on Midoriya’s hips, pulling him closer. After a couple more seconds they pulled back. Midoriya flushed a light pink.

Midoriya was too happy to be flustered or panicked. Midoriya felt so loved, flooded with passion and new excitement. His high school sweetheart, his first boyfriend, and his first relationship: Shinsou. Shinsou seemed just as happy, content with the minty flavor left on his lips.

“Midoriya, I’m so grateful you're here right now. I’m so thankful to feel your touch and taste your lips covered in mint chapstick. You’re so badass and powerful and smart and optimistic and I don’t think All Might could’ve chosen a better person to train. I have vowed to hate Bakugo even more now, and I definitely will be brainwashing All Might into doing the chicken dance the next time I see him,” joked Shinsou, a tired smile on his face.

Midoriya, picking up some books while rising to his feet, sighed, “I’m glad I didn’t give up. Your lips are cold… it sent lightening bolts down my spine in the best way possible. You're very hardworking Shinsou! Getting into UA is an incredible achievement! Besides, you’ll most definitely be in Class 1-A in no time. Mineta is definitely going to get expelled for his disgusting behavior sooner or later.”

Shinsou remained quiet for a while, trying to remember who Mineta was. “Oh, is he the one who sexually harasses any girl that breaths right?”

“Yeah, I may or may not have punted him once in the hallway because he was going to take a pic under Momo and Jiro’s skirt while they were distracted.”

“Nice! Well, we can train together until that happens! Thanks again for helping me strengthen my quirk.”

“You're welcome! It’s fun to try and break out of it. Sadly I’m just too talented for you to lock me in.”

“Yeah! I don’t even know how you access your quirk in the first place!”

“I have people that live in my head and kinda just send all the power I possess through me till I’m so overwhelmed that I release it through my fingers. Thankfully I don’t break them anymore.”

“Woah— wait, what? You’re like... possessed? Cool, do you think…like… I could get some and have them use my quirk to send me to sleep?”

“Alright Mr. Insomniac. Why don’t we try and get you a sleeping bag? It seems to get Aizawa through the day,” laughed Midoriya, putting the books away and slipping a couple into his bookbag.

“A... sleeping bag?”

“Yeah! And we can get you a purple one!”

“You know what? Alright. It’s worth a shot.”

“Yes! We can go after my personal training with All Might tonight!”

“Sweet, let’s head to the cafeteria! I wanna buy some green tea. Tea somehow keeps me awake more than coffee does.”

Shinsou hummed, taking some books himself. “I’m probably going to get a cold coffee. I really enjoy my double shot of expresso.”

Midoriya sighed walking out of the aisle with Shinsou, content, “You really are crazy Hitoshi!”

The two passed by, Midoriya going deathly still as he stared back at his friends that all looked at him with horrified stares.

Shinsou mutters under his breath only to look at Midoriya and notice him panicking and dissociating. “Shit. God, why can’t you respect people’s privacy. I knew 1-A was known for being noses but jeez you really take the cake.”

Quickly guiding Midoriya out of the library, Shinsou left Midoriya’s four closest friends crouched by the bookshelf to their thoughts and guilt.

Tsuyu finally broke the silence with an uncalled for statement that was what everyone was thinking, “Fuck.”
