Just realised that the “storms will come and storms will go, but Moominvalley will always be here” line fits perfectly into my mini analysis of the moominhouse (and Moomintroll’s bedroom window) resembling a lighthouse in Snufkin’s nightmare as, to him, it’s always been a beacon of light and warmth and security guiding him through the storms of life 🥺😭

like it's snorkmaidens introduction scene, it's the set up and first impresson of snorkmaidens character and moomintroll and snorkmaidens relationship. Like for example the first appearance of sniff shows him being impulsive and quite silly. He also trys to start a business with moomintroll but moomintroll declines and seems quite annoyed with him. Like the first appearances are set ups for the characters relationships and is something your suppose to remember throughout the show. It's suppose to clearly show how the characters and relationships are and what to think about them.

So why the HELL is snorkmaidens introduction literally just moomintroll ignoring her in favour of snufkin 😭😭😭 LIKE IT JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE ?????????

i think my favorite thing about nimona is how genuine it is. like obvi there are other animations out there like nimona but i think this is the first time i actually appreciated it. all the characters have different body shapes and face structure

and their facial expressions are real and exaggerated (BALLISTER SHHHHSHHS ITS OKAY BABY🙏)

Victorian elegance plus space-age flair, with just enough dirt and grime and wear and tear to make it feel real? Thrilled I get to post my part of @ghostsharkpress ‘s transology zine before pride month ends. Our prompt was to recontextualize a formative childhood cartoon through the lense of transness/gncness.

These are thoughts I’ve had spilling around in my head for a while and seeing how important Treasure Planet was for me as a kid I thought it would be perfect. I always struggled with the fact I don’t really have any older male guide or figure to learn myself from so as a kid I tried to mimic the masculinity of shows or my peers. Growing older and wanting to step out of boyhood has really been a journey of self discovery and self worth and I’m really proud of the person I’m becoming.
