hyper fixations are so embarrassing for me because I make every part of my life center around the thing I'm fixating on like I would get out of bed and serve myself a bowl of cereal and be like "just like my Best Friend Finn the Human would :)" and it's completely unironical
Some Artfight attacks I did

Hello I need this?
Seen a couple posts on the dashboard lately about writing with ADHD. So, for the ADHD and neurodivergent folks who like writing but struggle sometimes… check out StimuWrite.
You can set it to make little sounds as you type (or leave them off), and emojis pop up in the corner. You can change the background, dark and light themes, set your word goal, and it gives you a percentage and total word count at the bottom. Though it’s more meant for getting a draft written up, so it doesn’t have spell check or anything like that. You’re meant to just copy and past what you write here into Google Docs or Word or Scrivener or whatever else you use and go from there. Honestly love it when I’m struggling to get words down, though. And apparently there’s an update now for StimuWrite 2?👀
Anyways, give it a try if it looks like it may help. It’s currently name-your-own-price.
one of these blessed posts came to me thank you
show, don't tell:
anticipation - bouncing legs - darting eyes - breathing deeply - useless / mindless tasks - eyes on the clock - checking and re-checking
frustration - grumbling - heavy footsteps - hot flush - narrowed eyes - pointing fingers - pacing / stomping
sadness - eyes filling up with tears - blinking quickly - hiccuped breaths - face turned away - red / burning cheeks - short sentences with gulps
happiness - smiling / cheeks hurting - animated - chest hurts from laughing - rapid movements - eye contact - quick speaking
boredom - complaining - sighing - grumbling - pacing - leg bouncing - picking at nails
fear - quick heartbeat - shaking / clammy hands - pinching self - tuck away - closing eyes - clenched hands
disappointment - no eye contact - hard swallow - clenched hands - tears, occasionally - mhm-hmm
tiredness - spacing out - eyes closing - nodding head absently - long sighs - no eye contact - grim smile
confidence - prolonged eye contact - appreciates instead of apologizing - active listening - shoulders back - micro reactions
some old random hollow knight doodles
I'm one of those people
stairs be hard
Yeah unexplained supernatural experiences are cool, but have you ever been 9 or 10 years old, having a sleepover at a friend's place, gotten up at night to go pee without turning the lights on, and then heard something coming up the stairs before you see the creature - a long-limbed, gaunt but distinctly humanoid figure dashing up on all fours, who then spots you in the dim light, as mortified as you are horrified, stands up to walk like a human, heading silently into his room without saying a word?
And that's the way you learned that some people like to go up stairs on all fours like a dog when nobody's looking, and that your friend's 15-year-old brother is one of them.
This inspired me to visit my local library more (there is one LITERALLY around the block I live. ik, shame on me 😔) I don't go there often because I was never brought there by my parent (only once after asking for a while), but I just realized I'm old enough to walk there on my own (tell me about living a life where you're not allowed to go past your own yard most times.)
Heck, I may even ask to assist there. Maybe me visiting will get more people to come to it, as every time I pass by it through car or when running with my dog, it looks a little lonely.
I want to thank this post for opening my eyes and giving me another purpose to do things on my own and revisit a place I adored.
If you guys want I can keep y'all updated.
My ancestors, watching me dump an entire stick of cinnamon, two cloves, an allspice berry, and a generous grating of nutmeg into my tea, sweetened with white sugar and loaded with cream, while I sit in my clean warm house surrounded by books, 25+ outfits for different occasions, and 6 pairs of shoes, in a building heated so well I have the windows open in mid-autumn:
Our daughter prospers. We are proud of her. She has never labored in a field but knows riches we could not have imagined.
