This is so funny to me đ
learning sign language so you can make inappropriate comments to spencer while at work and you sign âwant to suck your cockâ and spencer just looks at you all bewildered like âsince when did you know ASL?â
dirty talking to spencer in ASL genre: sfw with sexual innuendos word count: 1,8k a/n: a lil something while i'm working on kinkfest :)
Spencer Reid is a man of many talents. People say â well, specifically, Spencer once told you that learning a new skill is easiest around the age of ten and how the process will be more difficult once you reach the age of eighteen. Something about neural connections forming rapidly, the unconscious system, the critical period⌠To be honest, you lost your focus the moment he mentioned the new skill heâd learned: sign language.Â
Spencer was excited to tell you about this new skill. He already knew a handful of languages, from Russian to Yoruba, but what appealed to him most about ASL was the hand motions. How he didnât need to pronounce any of the words. You still chuckle to yourself when the memory of him pronouncing a Spanish sentence pops up in your head. How vividly you could picture Elle correcting him. There was nothing funny about him using ASL, though. In fact, you remember the way your throat tightened and your cheeks heated when his hands started moving â long fingers, decorated in veins, flexing into different symbols at a speed that other beginners would envy.
âThat means âI love you, and that sweater looks pretty on youâ.â
You had laughed. Had leaned in to press a soft kiss to his lips. âI love you,â you replied. A hot pink flush made its way onto his face, a shy smile tugging on his lips.Â
âDoes this mean youâll be speaking to me in sign now?â
Your comment was meant as mere teasing, but Spencer had taken it as a challenge. Heâd made sure to at least communicate a couple of ASL sentences to you every day. You could imagine it being a good way of practice for him. For the both of you, actually. Because over time you started to recognize some of the movements. A sign you had mistaken as rock and roll before, you had now concluded meant I love you. A swipe of his hand over his face? Pretty. There were a few others you could recognize, but as the sentences grew longer and his signs faster, you gave up.
You had always assumed everything Spencer signed to you was something sweet. Youâd smile, kiss him as a thank you, and forget about it, assuming he was complimenting you. That was until Derek caught Spencer in the act, signing something to you before the elevator doors closed in front of him, ready to head over to the lab for another case you were on.Â
âMy man,â Derek chuckled heartily, shaking his head like he couldnât believe what had just happened.
Your brows furrowed, the smile that had lingered on your face moments before dropping instantly. âWhat?â
He kept laughing, not noticing the clear confusion you were in.
âDerek!â you said, giving a soft punch to his arm to catch his attention.
âOh, you donât-â He raised an eyebrow, pointing to you and the closed elevator doors before laughing even harder.
âStop it!â You cried, getting embarrassed by the scene you were causing in the middle of the bullpen. âWhatâs so funny?â
âOh, pretty girl,â he started, taking a deep breath to recover, still grinning widely. âPretty Boy over there should be getting the title of Dirty Boy from now on.â
Your mouth opened, then quickly closed when no words came out. âI donât understand.â
Derek looked around the bullpen, finding no one near. Still, he leaned in, shielding his mouth with his hand as he recited Spencerâs words to you.
You gasp, hand clutching your chest dramatically as if starring in a soap opera. âHe didnât,â you say in full disbelief.
âOh, yes he did,â Morgan smirked in full pride.
âHow would you even know that?â
âMy buddy works at a youth center. I teach the kids football from time to time. Some speak ASL.â
You scoff. âKids have taught you these words?â
Derek shrugs. âWhat can I say? Itâs the dirty words that are most fun to learn.â

You had struggled to think of anything else after that encounter, your mind wandering to every possible naughty sentence when Spencer signed to you from then on. It was frustrating, really, how he must be gleaming knowing you had no clue what he was saying. As long as he knows that youâre also up for a challenge.Â
After work that day, you told Spencer youâd be home later, having to pick something up from a friendâs house. It wasnât completely a lie â you had to pick something up, just from a different location. You parked your car in the parking lot in front of the public library, feeling like a criminal as you knocked on the glass doors. A woman in her late sixties greeted you, her kind beady eyes framed by thin glasses that hung low on her nose.
âYouâre the one who called? From the FBI?â
You nodded, smiling. âHi, yes, thatâs me. I am so sorry to be bothering you at this hour, but weâve got a killer on the loose, and itâs very urgent.â
The older woman cringed at the mention of a killer, muttering some words under her breath, and turned to grab an entire stack of books. You reached your hands out, accepting the heavy weight of the books, the title A Beginnerâs Guide to ASL written on the top one.Â
Her hand trembled lightly as she tapped the front cover. âThis one comes with a DVD.â
âOh, thatâs perfect. Thank you for your help.â
âYou better catch that bastard!â You nodded confidently in response as you turned on your heel.
-`âĄÂ´-
Unfortunately, Spencer was right: learning a new language as an adult was far from easy. Especially with the lack of time you had because of working a demanding job. You had to make do with the rare free weekends and some late nights during the week to study as much as possible.
You were tucked underneath a blanket on the couch, laptop in your lap, as you were watching a YouTube video Derek had recommended: âSign Dirty to Me: A Guide to Dirty Talk in Sign Languageâ.â
âThe next sentence weâll be learning is âI want to give you a blowjobâ.â
âA what?âÂ
You screeched, lifting yourself up on the couch at a speed that made the laptop fall on the ground with a thud. You mutter a string of curses as the video continues playing, using your foot to stomp the laptop shut.
âJesus, Spencer, canât you knock?â
You turn your body, spotting your boyfriend's tall figure leaning against the open bedroom door, an amused smile lingering on his lips. âI think youâve forgotten that youâre in my house.â
You groan at his smug grin, trying to find an excuse.Â
âWhat were you watching anyway?â He asks in curiosity before you could explain.
âNothing!â
He takes a stride toward you, and you scramble from the couch to grab the laptop, holding it tight in your arms as a safety measure. Spencer leans on the plush frame of the couch, appearing rather relaxed as a gleam sparkles in his eyes. âDonât tell me you were watching-â
âNo!â You exclaim in offense.
âI wouldnât mind it if you were.â
âI was not watching anything.â
The content look doesnât fade from his face. He looks rather pleased by the scene youâre making. The tips of his fingers brush against the bare skin of your arm. Those damn fingers. âI donât mind, angel. I would just offer you my help instead.â
You swallowed. He was distracting you, and you were not going to fall for his dirty ploys yet again. No way.
âIâm good,â you squeak, hurriedly standing up from the couch. You point at him while your other hand clutches your laptop. âI will go to the bedroom now, and you will stay here. Donât even think about moving an inch.â
Your words were only making you sound more suspicious, but you didnât care. It would be worth it in the end.
-`âĄÂ´-
Two weeks had passed since you and Derek had exposed Spencerâs dirty, little secret. Two weeks in which you had spent all your free time learning ASL. You had been nervous all morning while getting ready for work, trying to resist the urge to sign something to him. But you wanted to do it in the bullpen; you needed to see him get flustered in a crowd.Â
Your fingers had been nervously tapping on your desk, eyeing Spencer at his desk opposite yours. You were waiting on Derek, who you had promised could be there for the âbig momentâ.Â
âWhere are we going?â Penelopeâs voice sounded through the bullpen as Derek grabbed her hand, pulling her toward the desks. You throw your hands up in frustration, it wasnât the plan to make it that big of a show. âAre you kidding me?â You mouth toward Derek.
âNow,â he mouths back as he stays at a safe distance against the far wall.
Here we go.
A single kick to Spencerâs shin was enough to grab his attention. âOuch! What did you do that for?â
Biting down on your lip to hide your smile, you began moving your fingers, a little exaggeratedly, to make sure he understood.Â
Look what new skill I learned.
Spencer beams, smiling brightly as the realization dawns upon him. âHey! Since when did you know ASL?â
You donât give him an answer right away, not wanting to get out of your flow, so you continue signing the variety of sentences youâve learned, each one even dirtier than the last.
You knew you were doing a good job when a few snorts came from your right at certain words, Derek understanding what you were saying. Looking at Spencer confirmed it â his eyes stood wide open, red blotches of heat forming on his neck as his lips moved in a struggle to find the words.
Stop it. Right now. He eventually signed.
You grin, pride washing over you as you can understand him. This new method of communication truly opens up worlds.
But I mean it. You sign back.
He hides the small smile that forms on his face, tugging away a piece of hair before finding the courage to respond back to you.
What else would you like to do, then?
Penelope nudged Derek, looking puzzled. âWhat are they doing? Are theyâŚ? Oh my god, theyâre trying to get in each otherâs pants? Right in front of us?!â
Derek threw his head back laughing. âThatâs right. Theyâre not so innocent anymore, huh?â
âBut dirty talk is our thing!â Penelope protested.
Derek shakes his head. âI hate to break it to you, baby girl, but theyâre outdoing us.â
"You can't tell, but I'm livid rn" is so iconic

This makes me want a kid so bad
in which your daughter goes to the BAU to hand out her extra Valentines
who? spencer reid x fem!reader category: fluff content warnings: horrible tooth rotting fluff, chemist!reader and leah, the spencer reid dilf agenda, valentine's day, reader wears pink (it's FESTIVE) word count: 1.47k a/n: happy valentine's day my loves!!!!
You had just finished helping your daughter put her visitor badge over her head before she proudly approached the two agents manning the security desk.
She brandished two Valentineâs Day cards for them, grinning while they looked down at her in surprise. You watched them tentatively take the cardstock from your three-year-old while she teetered back and forth in her pink Mary Janes. They thanked her while you pulled your visitor badge on. âCâmon, Leah,â you said, holding your hand out for her to take, âLetâs go see Daddy.â
âDaddy!â She chirped, her pure, childhood joy causing people in the lobby to stare. Most people were already vaguely aware of who she was, and even if they werenât, itâs difficult to be truly bothered by a kid wearing heart antennae. Adjusting her grip on her basket of Valentines, she led you to the elevator, practically dragging you through Quantico.
Her hand couldnât quite reach the button in the elevator, accidentally hitting the number four while wavering on her tippy toes. âHere, lovey,â you said, reaching over her and pushing the number six for her.
Leah beamed up at you. âThank you,â she whispered, lowering herself and standing next to you, tugging on your pink sweater in an attempt to get your attentionâas if she had ever lost it. âYou wanna Valentine?â Her voice was soft, as if you were exchanging state secrets in the elevator, sweetly leaning her head against your leg. She stumbled over the name of the holiday a bit, replacing the second ânâ with an âm.â
âIâll get one after everyone else,â you reassured her, adjusting her headband and smiling at the way the hearts bobbled.
She nodded confidently, making faces at her reflection in the elevator doors as you continued your way up.
You held your breath as the doors opened, once again holding your hand out for her to take so you could enter the bullpen in an orderly fashion, but as soon as they were open, she had taken off, the door being held open for someone else, leaving a perfect gap for her to slip through. There was barely enough time for you to call, âIncoming,â before she ran directly into Luke.
Thanking Anderson for holding the door for you, you followed Leah into the bullpen at a much slower pace and locked eyes with your husband, sighing in relief at the fact that youâd made it with little stress.
Your daughter had already been rescued from a room full of tall people by Dave, whoâd hoisted her onto someoneâs desk, so they were nearly at eye level. âHappy Valentimeâs, Dave,â she said excitedly, urgently rifling through her basket to find a treat that she deemed worthy of his receipt.
Rossi smiled at her, âHappy Valentineâs Day, kiddo. What have you got there?â You werenât sure if he was faking interest for the sake of your toddler, but either way, you were grateful for the opportunity to sneak by them, approaching Spencerâs desk.
He powered off his computer monitor as you leaned on the edge of his desk. âHey,â he greeted, leaning his head up so you could plant a quick kiss on his lips. âDid she have fun?â
You nodded, peeking over your shoulder to see Dave walking Leah around to hand out Valentines to the entire office. âWe severely underestimated the number of parents who keep their kids home for Valentineâs Day,â you informed him. Leahâs daycare class had been nearly empty when you picked her up early.
âWhat does that mean for us?â He asked, placing his hand on your knee and giving it a squeeze.
Raising your eyebrows, you grinned impishly, âIt means weâre bringing a lot of lollipops home with us.â
Spencer chuckled, eyes following Leah as she made her way to Emilyâs office, jumping up the steps and giggling at the sound effects that Tara made when she landed. âHow was your morning?â He asked nonchalantly, and since nothing Spencer ever did was nonchalant, you knew he was on a fishing expedition.
The corners of your mouth quirked up while he shuffled the papers on his desk, preparing to spend his lunch with you and Leah. âOh, I dropped Leah off and then went to work. I only had one class to teach, Physical Chemistry, as you know. I had some time before I needed to be back at the daycare, so I decided to stop at home and found a large bouquet of red and pink roses on the kitchen counter. They didnât belong there, so I tossed them in the trash before heading here.â
âYou did not,â Spencer challenged, grinning up at you, pushing his tongue against his teeth like he did when he was holding in a laugh.
You laughed breathily, hiding your smile behind your hand until Spencer reached up and took your hand in his. âNo,â you acquiesced, âBut I have no idea where weâre going to put two dozen roses.â
He pretended to think about it for a moment. âHow about the kitchen counter?â
Humming, you leaned down to kiss him again. âWorks for me,â you murmured to him on your way back up. You turned your head to find your toddler, seeing that Penelope had made her way to the bullpen and was putting a red feather boa around Leahâs neck.
Listening in on their conversation, you frowned when you overheard Leah complaining that the boa wasnât pink. âLeah,â Spencer called her name, having overheard the conversation himself. âWhat do you say to Aunt Penelope?â
The three-year-old spun around, stumbling a bit when she tried to come to a stop, before looking up at Garcia and jumping, âThank you! Matches my butterfly ears!â She fumbled the word âbutterflyâ a bit in all of her excitementâbubberfly.
Your husband looked at you, confused. âButterfly ears?â
âAntennae, obviously,â you told him, shaking your head in faux disappointment that he didnât understand what she was talking about.
He shook his head in disbelief. âHey, princess, câmere,â he said, waving over your daughter.
You waved to JJ and Emily as they joined the impromptu gathering, with everyone in the bullpen watching while Leah skipped over to her dad. âHi, Daddy,â she greeted, lifting her arms for him to pick her up, which he did happily.
âHi, baby. Happy Valentineâs Day,â he replied, sweeping a stray strand of hair from her forehead. Heâd left before you got her dressed this morning, so he hadnât been able to see her in her festive outfit, complete with a pink and red tutu.
Comfortably sitting in her fatherâs lap, she giggled when he tickled her side. âHappy Valentimeâs Day, Daddy,â she managed to squeak out. Sighing when he finally gave her a break, she asked, âLunch?â
You smiled softly, âSoon, lovey.â The three of you had planned to do lunch as a family, and Penelope had promised to take Leah for a sleepover so you could go out for dinnerâyou were nervous, and she was thrilled.
She kicked her feet contentedly, telling Spencer about the cards she had given away at the security desk in a hushed voice while you watched an exchange across the bullpen. Luke was leaning toward Tara, holding his lollipop in his hand, âWhat flavor did you get?â
Tara peered at him suspiciously. âBlue raspberry,â she replied.
âIâll trade you a green apple,â he offered, extending his arm out for the swap.
Turning in her chair, Tara scoffed, setting her Valentine on her desk, âNot a chance.â
A small gasp to your side caught your attention. âNo trades, Newbie!â Leah shouted from her perch.
Instead of turning on your daughter, Luke immediately pointed at Garcia, âYou coached her!â
Penelope feigned offense, holding a hand to her chest and looking around the bullpen, âIt is my duty as her godmother to warn her against certain people.â
âMeaning me?â
âIf the shoe fits, Newbie,â Penelope replied, leaning against a vacant desk while she awaited Lukeâs response.
He looked over at Leah now. âHow did she even hear me?â
You shrugged. âShe has freakishly good hearing; weâre thinking of having her tested.â
Spencer nudged you at your joke, smiling slightly, âShe saw you.â
Sighing in defeat, Luke gave Leah an exaggerated pout, âIâm sorry I tried to make a trade. Can you forgive me?â
Leah nodded with a toothy smile. Luckily, she was three, and things were easy to get over. âHey, do I get a Valentine?â Spencer asked, playing with the hearts on her headband. Â
Humming, she shifted on his lap. âMommy put all of the pink ones in a baggie for us.â
You flashed a grin back at your husband, pulled a Watermelon lollipop out of your purse, and handed it to him. âIâm very good at what I do.â
I love this so much

ŕ¨ŕ§â ŕ¨ŕ§â ŕ¨ŕ§â ŕ¨ŕ§â ŕ¨ŕ§â ŕ¨ŕ§â ŕ¨ŕ§â
When Oscar saw you for the first time, he was slightly stunned into silence. He knew who you were, everyone in McLaren did. You were one of the board memberâs daughters, and you knew everyone. You were friends with everyone, you knew every driver on the grid, everyone. Except Oscar. Heâd somehow side stepped your friendship despite you knowing every other driver on the F1 grid, F2 grid, and F3 grid.Â
Anyway, he was in love with you, and thatâs all that mattered. You befriended him in his first year, but youâd only been around sporadically in the 2024 season, and when you were there, all of your time was spent catching up with all the other drivers, and Oscar could only steal so much of your time. That didnât mean that you two didnât text though. You and him had months and months of âfriendlyâ texts, and on more than one occasion heâd almost be driven to send the dreaded âwhat are we?â text, but thankfully, Logan usually stopped him.Â
He did not like the way you were talking with Franco and had been for a while. He was touching your arm, you were laughing at something he said, and Oscar couldnât control the frown on his face.Â
âJesus christ mate, heâs actually going to get hurt if you donât stop staring daggers at him,â Lando joked.Â
âIâm not,â Oscar huffed, getting on with eating his lunch.Â
âHave you asked her out yet?â Lando asked, and Oscar just⌠avoided eye contact. âCome on mate! Sheâs never going to say yes to you if you donât actually ask her!â
âWell, sheâs also never going to say no, if I donât ask her,â Oscar pointed out, purposefully waving a piece of salmon much too close for Landoâs comfort.Â
Lando pushed his fork back. âSheâs not going to say no!â
âHey Y/n!â Zak called, sitting at the table next to them.Â
âHey Zak,â you smiled. It was an easy, gentle smile, the kind that drove Oscar crazy.Â
âWhere have you been all day?â he mused, an eyebrow raised as he looked between you and Franco, who was slowly walking abc to Williams.Â
âI was with Franco, actually,â you explained. âI told him Iâd never been at the circuit before so he gave me a tour of the entire paddock, and of Williams. I met all of his mechanics and all, it was great!â
He chuckled. âSo whenâs the wedding?â
You scoffed. âItâs not like that, well⌠it kind of is. Weâre apparently going on a date so, we shall see!â you admitted, a nervous smile on your lips.Â
Oscar and Lando locked eyes. Oscarâs were full of shock and panic, whereas Landoâs were full of amusement.Â
âY/n!â Lando called, alerting half the canteen. âI thought you were with Oscar?â
Oscar had one thought:
Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop.
But he didnât. Oscar buried his face in his hands as Lando stood there, digging him a deeper hole. He wouldâve rather just lived out his friend-zoned life and still be your friend, but with the way Lando was rambling on, he would be lucky fi there wasnât a fucking restraining order.Â
âAnd like⌠all the texts and stuff! I thought you two were hitting it off, they seemed pretty flirty to me! And Iâm an expert on that type of thing. And heâs like⌠in love with you or whatever, and you like him too! Isnât he pretty! You told me he was pretty once when you were drunk, donât deny that!â
You stood there with an amused smile on your lips. âI think if Oscar was actually in love with me, he wouldâve made a move by now,â you chuckled before walking off, but not before ruffling Oscarâs hair. Oscar was bright red. Bright red. Once you were out of ear-shot, the entire canteen was laughing at the situation. Mark clapped a hand on his back.Â
âThat went over about as well as a dead horse,â he chuckled. Oscar shook his head, smiling despite himself.Â
âIâm fucked,â he sighed. âI fucked it up. Sheâs going out with Franco.â
Mark shook his head. âNot if you confess now.â
Oscar stared at him, waiting for an explanation.Â
Mark rolled his eyes. âThe girl is mad about you!â Oscar groaned but Mark shushed him. âSeriously! She adores you. You just need to ask her out! Fuck Franco, heâs a newbie, youâve been his friend for 2 years now, and Lando isnât wrong, those texts are flirty!â
Oscar looked at Mark, unimpressed, but then turned to Lando (who had a very big smile on his face, awaiting a âthank youâ) with a scowl. He got up and brought his lunch with him. âNeither of you are helpful!â
ŕ¨ŕ§â ŕ¨ŕ§â
Somehow, he ended up in your hotel room at the end of the night, his lips on yours. He hadnât told anyone about this. Whatever it was, he wanted it to be his and yours only. No teasing comments from Lando, no âadviceâ from Mark. It had started a few months ago, one drunken night that led to too much, but neither of you stopped. Neither of you were drunk the second time it happened, and since then youâd been hooking up every now and then, just to relieve stress.Â
âOsc,â you mumbled against his lips. He smiled. You'd been making out for about 40 minutes, and the nights either ended with mind blowing sex (with the girl he was in love with), or a movie and sleeping in your bed. Win-win either way. You straddled him against the headframe, his shirt already off and you in your bra and sleep shorts, he was kind of hoping for the first one.
âHm?â he muttered, never pulling away. Having his hands on you, your hands on him, it felt good.Â
You pulled back with a nervous expression, and he stilled. Had he done something to upset you? Had he gone too far?Â
âYou werenât upset today,â you stated.Â
He stared at you, slightly confused. âYes?â
You frowned. âYou really donât actually like me, do you?â you chuckled, but it wasnât a real chuckle. It was too sad to be your chuckle, and the way you pushed yourself off his lap and held your legs to your chest.Â
He panicked. How was he supposed to explain the 2 years of yearning heâd partaken in? âIâm in love with you,â he blurted out, and your eyes widened, so he just buried his face in his hands again. âIâm sorry! I didnât mean-â
You laughed. Your real, gorgeous laugh. âI love you too.â
He ripped his hands away from his face. âBut Franco-?â
âI was trying to make you jealous!â you scoffed. He rolled his eyes.Â
âWhy didnât you just talk to me?â
âWhy didn't you just talk to me?!â you accused, and you both just started laughing at how stupid you both were.Â
âCome here,â he told you. He wrapped his arms around you, holding you close as he pressed soft kisses to your neck. âIâm really fucking glad you tried to make me jealous today.â
âDid it work?â you giggled.
âVery much so,â he admitted, biting into the side of your neck hard enough to make you let out a squeak, which made you both laugh.Â
You turned to him, running a hand through his unruly hair. You pressed your lips to his.Â
âI love you,â he confessed (again). You smiled.Â
âI love you too.â

spencer never needed to define what this was, until you did. now, the box is open, the outcome inevitable, and he has never been so happy to lose an argument.
pairings: spencer reid x fem!reader warnings: situationship (ish? it gets resolved fast lol), mutual pining, friends to lovers (except they've been kissing for months), mention of heavy makeout, lap sitting, shirt removal, spencer kissing you to shut you the fuck up, cat does not survive the experiment (metaphorically speaking, there is no animal killing in this fic LOL) wc: 1.4k request: here
Your body is warm in his lap, your weight pressing down just enough to be distracting â no, disorienting â and Spencer is trying very hard not to look at your lips. Not just because theyâre parted, slick, and kiss-swollen, but because the soft smudge of your lip gloss is evidence that this has been happening. That heâs been kissing you long enough to leave proof of it.
Mascara has clumped just slightly at the corners of your lashes and thereâs a half-moon of pink polish chipped at the very edge of your thumbnail.
Heâs obsessing over details. Your pupils are dilated, swallowing every fleck of color. He knows itâs a physiological response â dopamine, norepinephrine, oxytocin, all working in tandem to make you look like this, flushed and increasingly pretty on his thighs.
Itâs easier to focus on biology than it is to focus on the fact that this moment exists in a state of suspended reality.
This was new. Not just in the way that everything between you had been new, in the way that months of small, careful steps had led to this, but in the way that Spencer had never felt like this. Overheated. Overwhelmed. Overrun with sensation. It had started as everything else had â soft and slow, the kind of kissing that didnât lead anywhere except to more kissing.Â
And for months, he convinced himself that he could exist in this purgatory of lips meeting and parting, of hands resting politely at your waist. That he could always pull away before the ground gave away beneath him.
Today the ground was gone.
Spencer had never been particularly drawn to categories â not in the way people seemed to crave them. Labels had always felt limiting, reductive, forcing the complexities of human relationships into neat little boxes that never quite fit. He had been content in ambiguity, had never needed something to be named in order to understand it.Â
With you, the lack of label wasnât liberating, it was frustrating. Because if this wasnât something that could be named, then what was it?
âIâm just saying, I feel like if Rossi can write a whole book about a case, then I should at least be able to mention it in passing at brunch.â Your fingers skate absentmindedly across the dip of his throat, and Spencer, entranced, forgets to do something as basic as breathe. Oxygen is apparently optional. âBut no, apparently thatâs an inappropriate topic over eggs benedict. Which, okay, sure, but if I have to sit through another conversation about Carlyâs fianceâs fantasy football league, I think I deserve to liven it up a little, you know?â
Your genuine need for an answer is clear, but Spencer canât even remember what brunch is.
You gesture when you talk, and itâs so innocent â just emphasis, just a habit â but right now, itâs destroying him. Your fingers drag absently up his arm, over the soft material of his sweater, mapping the line of his forearm before skimming back up his neck. And then, like you donât even realize youâre doing it, your palms smooth over his chest, fingertips tapping lightly against his collarbone like youâre idly counting his heartbeats. Spencer is painfully aware of every single one.
This is it, he thinks. This is how he dies. But he canât decide what would kill him faster â how you touch him, or the moment you stop.Â
Spencer manages to clear his throat â barely.
âI think your friends donât appreciate you enough.â His voice sounds strained, but any attempt at analyzing tone evaporates the second his fingers breach the barrier of your shirt.Â
Warm fingertips skim over bare skin, and suddenly, the conversation seems wildly misplaced. Because what was that about appreciation? If heâs trying to prove a point, heâs making it very convincingly.
You hum, shifting against him â not intentionally, probably, but it doesnât matter, because he feels it all the same.
âWell, I canât just hang out with you constantly.â
Spencer isnât sure how to respond â because if heâs honest, thatâs exactly what he wants. You, constantly. No breaks, no buffer. Just you.
Instead, he stares at your mouth again, because his brain is broken, and this is the inevitable destination. He never really understood the appeal of making out before you â before that first time, when he was supposed to just kiss you once and somehow ended up losing entire minutes of his life to your lips, to the sheer pleasure of pressing against you, of drinking in your sounds.
His broken brain is built to reinforce pleasure-seeking behaviors. Neurochemical feedback loops, all of it designed to keep him coming back. To keep him wanting. As if he needed the help.
Spencer doesnât even pretend to think about it before saying, âYou say that like itâs a bad thing.âÂ
Your lips twitch. Youâre about to tease him, he can tell.
âIt wouldnât be a bad thing at all,â you say, tilting your head. âBut wasnât it you who went on that tangent about how platonic relationships significantly improve cognitive function?â
Spencer tries to find a loophole in that statement.
âAnd we,â you say, tracing a path down the trail of hair at his navel, âare not exactly fulfilling the platonic requirement.â
There was a time when he would have insisted â vehemently, even â that their relationship was strictly platonic. Foolâs errand.
âI mean, technically, if we wanted to be platonic, we could just⌠say we are.â That alone is egregiously incorrect. Spencer prepares to say as much, but then you pause, rolling the thought over like youâre actually considering it, before adding, âLike if we donât label it, then it doesnât count, right?â
His first instinct is to argue. His second instinct is to really argue. But neither one survives the sensory overload of you pressed against him.
âItâs like when you donât open your credit card statements,â you continue, lips pursed. âSure, the debt exists, but if you donât acknowledge it, then it doesnât feel real. So technically, if we just never say what this is, then itâsâŚâ
âSchrĂśdingerâs relationship?â
Spencer doesnât know why he gives you the words â why he hands you the metaphor like a loaded gun and watches as you take perfect aim.
âExactly! We exist in a state of undefined possibilities. Weâre both platonic and not platonic until we open the box.â
Spencer sighs, rubbing at his temple, because now his entire brain is consumed by the implications of your logic.Â
SchrĂśdingerâs cat was never meant to be a real experiment â just a way to illustrate how, in quantum mechanics, particles can exist in multiple states until measured. The cat is placed in a box, along with a vial of poison triggered by a completely random quantum event. Until the box is opened, itâs both alive and dead, trapped in an impossible in-between, a paradox that shouldnât exist but somehow does. The problem is, that concept doesnât translate perfectly to relationships. People arenât quantum particles. Relationships donât exist in probability states.
Except, apparently, this one does. Because as long as neither of you put a definitive label on whatâs happening here, you exist in an undefined state.Â
He glances at you, at the expectant look in your eyes, and something about it makes him laugh, not because this is funny, necessarily, but because of course it would take a physics analogy for him to see whatâs been obvious all along.
âIâm fairly certain that if we opened the metaphorical box, we would find that the cat â that is, our relationship â was decidedly not platonic.â
He hopes youâll take the words for what they mean. That, for once, you wonât take the obvious escape route, wonât let yourself tuck this moment nearly into the realm of plausible deniability.
Because what he really said â what he really meant â was that he wants you. Only you. Singular, exclusive, definitively. If you pressed him for stronger language, heâd give it to you.
Your face was quick to light up.
âAre you asking me to go steady? Because Spencer, thatâs a serious commitment. That means shared desserts, and, like, the expectation that I text you goodnight. And whatâs the policy on PDA? Full access or ââ
The rest of your sentence vanishes into fabric as Spencer pulls your shirt over your head, words muffled into cotton. You let out a muffled protest, momentarily caught in the fabric, and Spencer swears heâs never been more tempted to laugh at anything in his life.
By the time he tosses your shirt aside, youâve recovered, blinking at him like nothing happened, hair adorably mussed.
â â case-by-case basis?â
Spencer drags his hands down your hair, smoothing out the worst of the damage. He sighs dramatically, but his lips are twitching. âIf I had known going steady required this much paperwork, I wouldâve reconsidered.â
You grin at him. âOh, you think this is bad? Just wait until we get into the holiday gift-giving policies and date night scheduling. Speaking of which ââ
He doesnât let you finish. He kisses you mid-sentence, less because he wants to shut you up (though thatâs a nice bonus) and more because he can. Because he gets to. Because somehow, without him even realizing it was happening, this wonderful, impossible thing has become real.
This thing between you, this thing that was supposed to be undefined, a quantum maybe â itâs never been uncertain. Itâs never been both platonic and not platonic, no matter how long he tried to pretend otherwise.
No, the box is open now. It probably always was.Â
And Spencer had never been so happy to kill the cat.

Fucking Perfection.
Summary : Everyone is horrified that Bucky is flirting with a married woman, but then they realise there's a reason why.Â
Pairing : Thunderbolts!Bucky Barnes x florist!reader (she/her)Â
Warnings/tags : Secret wife trope. Cursing, Injury. Featuring the Thunderbolts*. Bucky kinda gaslights the entire team. Fluff!!!!
Word count : 3k
Note : The next chapter of spoils of war is almost here, but I just need to go over a couple of paragraphs! In the meantime, enjoy!
The Thunderbolts knew a few undeniable truths about Bucky Barnes.
One: He was grumpy.
Two: He was a private person.
Three: He never, ever let anyone see where he lived.
That last one bothered them the most. Theyâd pieced together the general area; a quiet neighborhood with old brick buildings, modern cafĂŠs, and just enough charm to make it feel⌠vintage. But no one had ever set foot inside his home, no one had even seen him unlock the door to his sanctuary, since he dodged every casual suggestion to hang out at his place with a variation of âI got plansâ or another. And, curiously, every time they stopped for coffee in this part of town, Bucky would mysteriously slip into the tiny flower shop beneath a brick apartment building.
That was odd. No one wouldâve guessed that Bucky Barnes even liked flowers.
What was even odder was that this infinitely grumpy, emotionally constipated, âI hate peopleâ supersoldier â would be capable of flirting.
With the florist.
With you.
âAre we seeing this right?â Yelena whispered, elbowing Alexei as they peered through the shop window after Bucky made them wait outside.Â
They watched as Bucky stood by the counter, leaning in ever so slightly, a charming grin tugging at the corner of his mouth as he watched you wrap a bouquet.
âHeâs smiling,â Alexei muttered, horrified.
Inside, Bucky reached for the bouquet you were tying up, his gloved fingers brushing against yours. You playfully smacked his hand away, laughing. He laughed, too, and that was enough to send Yelena spiraling into an existential crisis.
Yelena squinted. âHeâs flirting.â
Alexei frowned. âBucky does not flirt.â
âI know. Thatâs why Iâm freaking out.â
They watched as you handed him the bouquet, and in return, Bucky gave you a wink. And then he turned, walking out like he hadnât just transformed into a different person.
That was when Yelena, utterly horrified Yelena, caught a flash of gold on your ring finger. She squinted her eyes. It was unmistakable. âWait a secondââ
As soon as he got back to them, Alexei folded his arms. âYou were flirting.â
Bucky scoffed. âI was not.â
âSheâs married!â Yelena accused, pointing dramatically. âShe had a ring! You flirted with a married woman!â
Bucky didnât even blink. He simply shrugged, tucking the bouquet carefully under his arm. âI didnât see a ring.â
âShe was literally wearing itââ
âI didnât see a ring,â Bucky insisted, tugging absentmindedly at the chain around his neckâ the one that held his dog tags, hidden under his shirt.
Yelena and Alexei exchanged a deeply disturbed look.
Bucky Barnes was flirting with a married florist.
What was the world coming to?
â
Bucky knew heâd fucked up the second he stepped back into Thunderbolts HQ.Â
Alexie had just looked confused, while Yelena had been simmering the entire walk back, her arms crossed so tightly over her chest it was a miracle she hadnât snapped a rib.Â
She lasted exactly two seconds before she exploded. âYou are jackass, Barnes!â
Bucky barely had time to sigh before she stomped closer.
âWhatâs so wrong with what I did?â he muttered, placing the bouquet of flowers in an empty vase
Yelena let out an incredulous laugh, pacing in front of him like a caged tiger ready to strike. âWhatâs wrong?â she echoed, her accent thickening with rage. âYou flirted with a married woman! I should punch you in the face on principle!â
From the lounge, John Walker looked up from whatever government-issued nonsense he was pretending to read. His brows immediately furrowed, his eyes twisting into the signature disapproving dad look heâd perfected. âWait, what?â
Ava, who had been drinking tea in the corner, raised an eyebrow. âThis is scandalous,â she murmured, eyes brightening with intrigue.
Alexei, who was now plopped on the couch like some washed-up, Soviet-era king, said, âIf a man had flirted with my wife like that, I would have hunt him down and mount his head on wall.â He crossed his arms, nodding to himself in approval. âAs is tradition.â
Bucky scowled. âI wasnât flirting.â
âOh?â Yelena snorted, âSo you were just undressing her with your eyes for fun, then?â
Bucky rolled his eyes. âThatâs just how I look at people.â
Alexie shook his head. âSo you look at us like that?â
Bucky opened his mouth. Then immediately shut it.
Yelenaâs hands curled into fists. âYeah. Thought so.â
Johnâs arms crossed over his chest in that holier-than-thou stance that he was so famous for. âLook, man, Iâm married. And if someone flirted with my wife, weâd have a problem.â
âOh, fuck off,â Bucky groaned, dragging a hand down his face. âYou guys are making a big deal out of nothing.â
âNothing?â Yelena threw up her hands. âSheâs married, Bucky!â
âOkay, even if I was flirting,â Bucky turned to her, exasperatedâ âI didnât see a ring.â
Yelenaâs hands flew to her head, fingers digging into her scalp like she was resisting the urge to rip out her own hair. âYou probably chose to look away!â
John sighed like a disappointed youth pastor. âThis is unbelievable.â
âNo,â Bucky still insisted, âI didnât see a ring.â
Yelenaâs jaw dropped. âIt was a thick gold band, Barnes. How could you not see it?â
Ava, who was clearly enjoying the drama more than anyone, sighed. âThat is inappropriate behaviour, Barnes.â
Alexei shook his head again, âYou should apologise.â
âIâm not apologising,â Bucky scoffed, âBecause I did nothing wrong.â
His fingers toyed absentmindedly with the chain that led to his dog tags, and Yelena immediately locked onto the movement. Every person has a tell, a habit they did when they were nervous. And being a super spy, Yelena knew this was his.
She narrowed her eyes. âYou are gaslighting us,â she muttered, pacing again like she was mentally weighing the pros and cons of strangling a super soldier.
âI didnât see a ring,â Bucky repeated, his voice steady.
âYouâre lying,â she snapped.
He shrugged, maddeningly casual in all of this chaos. âGuess weâll never know.â
Ava laughed cynically. âI canât tell if youâre a complete scumbag or if this is just really fun for you.â
Bucky just popped a beer from the fridge, flicking the cap off with his metal hand. âWhy not both?â
He took a long sip of his beer, completely unbothered.
And maybe, he looked a little bit too smug.
â
Three weeks later, Bucky led Yelena and John on a mission to take down a high-scale arms dealer.
And, as always, the mission had gone sideways.
It was too late for any shops to be open, too late for anyone with a shred of common sense to be out on the streets.Â
Yelena was bleeding, pressing a torn scrap of fabric against a deep gash on her arm. John had a busted lip and a slight limp. Bucky was sporting a few cuts and bruises himself, but nothing he hadnât shaken off a thousand times before.
âGuys,â Yelena managed a grunt, shifting her grip on her makeshift bandage, âwe need to get ourselves patched up before one of us drops dead.â
âWe ran out of antiseptics back at HQ,â John reminded them.
Yelena groaned, throwing her head back in despair. âSo what are we supposed to do?â She gritted out, âJust bleed out in the street like sad little orphans?â
John scowled. âThatâs a little dramatic.â
Yelena turned and glared at him. âYour face is dramatic.â
Bucky let out a deep breath through his nose, running a hand along his damp hair. He glanced around the street, making sure they werenât being followed before whispering to himself, âGuess weâre doing this now.â
Yelena tilted her head. âDoing what?â
Instead of answering, Bucky turned on his heel and started walking.
John and Yelena gave each other a wary look.
âI donât like when he does that,â John said.
âNo one does,â Yelena agreed, but they both followed anyway.Â
It didnât take long for them to recognise the routeâ ââIt was the neighbourhood where the team usually got coffee.
But Bucky wasnât heading to the cafĂŠ.
They rounded the corner, and suddenly John stopped dead in his tracks.
It was a closed floristâthe very one where Bucky had, allegedly, been trying to charm his way into a married womanâs bed.
To Johnâs absolute horror, Bucky walked right up to the door and knocked.
âBucky.â He said, voice strangled. âWhat the hell is this?â
Yelena blinked. âI donât think we need to seduce a married florist to get medical supplies.â
Bucky sighed, rubbing his temples like he was already regretting this decision. He turned to them, leveling them both with a look. âAlright, listen up,â he said through gritted teeth. "The secretâs out now, so you two gotta keep your mouths shut.â
Johnâs brows furrowed. âWhat secret?â
Before Bucky could answer, the door to the flower shop clicked open.
And there you were, standing in the doorway, wrapped in one of Buckyâs hoodies, looking exactly how heâd expected: exasperated but unsurprised. He knew youâd still be up, cataloguing the latest floral shipment for tomorrowâs arrangements.
The second your eyes landed on a bruised and bloodied Bucky, and flanked by two wounded Thunderbolts, no lessâyou let out a sigh.
âJames,â you said knowingly, your voice laced with fond irritation. âWhat did you do?â
Yelena and John froze in their tracks.
James?
James?
No one called Bucky by his first name. No one. Not unless they had a death wish.
Bucky, unfazed, just stepped inside. âWe ran out of antiseptics, honey.â
Yelena and John exchanged a wide-eyed look.
Honey?
You pinched the bridge of your nose. âAgain?â
Bucky shrugged like this was a perfectly normal Thursday night occurrence.
You muttered under your breath, âI shouldâve known this would happen when I married an ex-assassin.â
Oh.
Yelenaâs mouth opened, closed, then opened again. âMarried.â she repeated
John blinked rapidly. âThis is why we can never go to your place?â
Bucky could only shrug. Of course it wasâ they would have seen the evidence of how much love in his home was carved out for just you.
John let out a wheeze.
Yelena pointed between you and Bucky, motioning erratically. âWait. WAIT. Soâso sheâs your wife? She married you?â
Bucky nodded. âYup.â
âLikeâactually married?â
âMhm.â
Yelena gasped, clutching her chest like sheâd been personally betrayed. In a way, she had. âAnd no one knows?â
Bucky thought for a second. âSam does.â
âAnd Joaquin,â you added, trying to be helpful.
Bucky nodded. âRight. Joaquin.â
âOh, and Isaiah and Elijah Bradley.â
âYeah, they were at the wedding.â
âA teenager knew about this,â Johnâs eye twitched, ââand we didnât?â
Bucky could only nod again.
Yelena rubbed a hand down her face, âYou gaslit us,â she accused, jabbing a finger at Bucky. âYou let us believe you were a homewrecker for weeksâwhen you were married the whole time?!â
You snorted, glancing at Bucky, who had the audacity to look smug. âYeah, that sounds like my husband.â
Yelena let out a string of very creative Russian curses.
John looked like he was about to have a stroke.Â
âAll secrets aside,â you said, welcoming the two disoriented Thunderbolts in and locking the door behind you, âItâs good to finally meet you both.â
John still looked like he was buffering. Yelena, on the other hand, was vibrating with adrenaline, looking like she was trying to solve a conspiracy theory in real time.
âThis isâthis is insane,â she muttered, pointing aggressively at Bucky, then at you, then back at Bucky. âYouâreâyouâre so normal.â
You laughed, shaking your head. âIâd like to think so.â
Bucky just hummed. âSheâs perfect.â
Yelena actually sputtered like an old car engine.
John made a noise that was somewhere between a groan and a strangled laugh. This was all too much.
But there wasnât time to let them spiral further. Bucky, gently nudged you toward the others. âTake care of them first, darling. Theyâve got worse injuries.â
You frowned, wanting to protestâbecause, really, Bucky should always be your first priorityâbut your husband was nothing if not stubborn. You knew better than to argue when he had that look in his eyesâ you knew that fighting him on this would only drag things out longer, and right now, time was precious.
You turned your attention to Yelena and John, motioning for them to follow you deeper into the shop. The scent of lavender, roses, and freshly cut stemsâclung to the air as you led them toward the back, where your little work table stood tucked in the corner.
Years of practice had made you quick. You moved with quiet efficiency, gathering supplies from neat shelves: you cut and split an aloe vera plant for burns, grabbed bandages, and a mix of balms youâd perfected over your time tending to Bucky. It wasnât the kind of sterile, military-grade first aid they were used to, but it would have to do for now.
You started tending to Yelenaâs arm, gently dabbing the wound with fresh aloe. She hissed through her teeth before narrowing her eyes at you.
âSo how long has this been a thing?â she demanded. Bucky, now leaning lazily against the counter with his arms crossed, barely spared her a glance. âA while.â
John scoffed, âA while?â
You bit back a grin as you smoothed a bandage over Yelenaâs arm, âThree years.â
Yelenaâs jaw dropped.
âThreeââ She turned to Bucky so fast it was a miracle she didnât give herself whiplash. âYouâve been married for three years?!â
John let out a long, defeated groan,This was simply too much to process. âFuckâs sake.â
Yelena shook her head. âI thought you were a loner who hated people."
Bucky only shrugged, unbothered.Â
You chuckled as you pressed the last piece of medical tape into place on Yelenaâs arm. âAlright, youâre done.â Then, glancing at John, you motioned for him to sit. âYour turn.â
John sighed but still plopped down. You took his hand gently, turning it over to examine his bruised knuckles before moving to his busted lip.
Meanwhile, they kept peppering you with questions, barely giving you room to breathe.
âHow did you meet?â
âHow do you put up with Buckyâs brooding?â
âDoes he ever actually smile?â
At that last one, you paused, dabbing at Johnâs lip carefully. âHe smiles all the time.â
John let out a scoff. âNo, he doesnât.â
You glanced over at Bucky, knowing he showed that part of him to you and no one else. âOh, he does.â
And then, finally, it was Buckyâs turn.
You turned to him, your brows knitting together as you studied the little cuts on his cheek, the dried blood near his brows. He looked a little tired, a little worn around the edges.Â
Your fingers found his chin, tilting his face toward you as you inspected the damage. Your touch was so featherlight, so incredibly careful. There was no missing the way your thumb brushed over his cheekboneâ how incredibly gentle it was.
âYou shouldâve let me do you first,â you murmured, half-scolding, half-concerned.
Buckyâs lips curved into a small smile, a flicker of mischief lighting his tired blue eyes. âThatâs exactly what you said last night, sweetheart.â
John choked.
Yelena groaned, grabbing the nearest pillow from the nearest chair and hurling it at Buckyâs head. âYou two are disgusting.â
Bucky caught the pillow effortlessly, giving her a smug grin before setting it aside. When his eyes found yours again, his shit-eating grin turned⌠lovely. The tension in his brows eased as you dabbed gently at his cut.Â
For all the blood, for all the bruises, you handled him like he was glass.
And then, without thinking, you leaned in.
It was meant to be a brief kissâ a quick reassurance, a way of saying Iâve got you. But the moment your lips brushed his, you couldnât help but linger.
Your fingers curled instinctively against his chin. His hand found your waist without hesitation, as if he needed you closer. As if the world shrank down to just the two of you.Â
John and Yelena exchanged a look, the previous horror of their teammate hiding a secret wife momentarily forgotten because this was⌠weirdly cute.
You giggled as you pulled away, seeing Bucky looking at you like you hung the moon for him.Â
âAnywhere else?â you asked, brushing your thumb over his lips.
Bucky hesitated just for a second. Then, a little sheepishly, he said, âGot a cut on my ribs.â
You exhaled, shaking your head. Of course he did. Before he could argue, you reached for the hem of his shirt and tugged.
âOff,â you said simply.
Bucky huffed but didnât fight you. He lifted his arms, letting you strip the fabric from his skin, and goddamn.
Bucky, half-naked, was unfairly, ridiculously beautiful. Even now, even after all this time, seeing him like this still knocked the breath from your lungs. His body was a roadmap of battles fought and survived, scars carved into the expanse of his chest and ribs that told stories only he could say.Â
John made a strangled sound, somewhere between âJesus Christâ and âI need to leave the room,â but you ignored him completely. Yelena let out a dramatic sigh and whispered âthey are one second away from sucking each otherâs face off,â to herself.
You tuned them both out, fingers dragging carefully over Buckyâs ribs, searching for the wound. When you found a thin jagged cut just below his ribsâ you sighed softer this time and reached for the aloe.
âYou need to stop getting hurt, my love,â you said, smoothing the cool gel over his skin.
Buckyâs voice came quieter. âLucky I have someone to take care of me, then.â
And thatâs when Yelena finally noticed it.
The thin chain around Buckyâs neckâone sheâd always assumed was just for his dog tagsâheld something else, too.
A ring.
A simple wedding band that matched yours, worn from years of resting against his skin.
She blinked, realisation hitting her like a freight train. Oh.
Thatâs why he always played with it.
Every time Bucky was nervous, every time he was uncertain, his fingers would move to that chainânot just to fiddle with his tags, but to remind himself of you.
Maybe he wasnât a complete jackass after all.
-end.
Note: Hope this doesn't bite me in the ass when the movie comes out.

Today was a bad day. That much was clear. From the moment you woke up to the minute you arrived at the BAUâ youâre convinced that the universe has simply gone the extra mile to make your life a little harder.Â
You slept through your alarm and a few phone calls from Garcia, making your morning stressful and complete chaos. You didnât have time to grab a cup of coffee or a snack, and apparently you also didnât have time to remove the colorful pimple patches that adorned your face.Â
Your blouse is buttoned asymmetrically, your hair resembling a bird's nest, and you left your ID at home, making your arrival more delayed as you had to employ Garciaâs help in presenting a copy of your ID to let you through.Â
That too was not without stress given that your phone was on the verge of dying as you were in the call, but thankfully you could finally breathe in the elevator. Or so you thought.Â
There were two things that immediately caught you off guard as you walked into the bullpen: one, almost all the desks were deserted and two, Reid and Morgan were watching you- as if waiting for your reaction, which led you to look around in anticipation. Is there a surprise? A prank? Did I miss a patch? IâmâŚwearing pants, right?Â
Not wanting to prolong your search, you look at the two for any indication or clue. Tilting your head to the side as if to ask what? But to your surprise, they both nod their heads in one direction. Oh.
Strauss was in Hotchâs office, along with Rossi and a woman you donât recognize. Hotch looked a bit tense, Strauss firm, Rossi is as relaxed as ever, and the woman⌠is looking directly at Hotch. Just Hotch. Huh.Â
You were stood just shy of your desk when you shook thoughts out of your head, slowly approaching your desk to settle your things. Dozens of scenarios were running through your head, trying to make sense of new additions to an otherwise normal day.Â
But the way she was studying him made your chest tight like someone was stepping on it.. and you couldnât figure out why.Â
You approach the two rascals only to lean on Derekâs desk as you whisper under your breath, âWhatâs happening there?âÂ
Morgan shrugs but his focused face remains, âI donât know, kid. I tried Garcia but she doesnât have a clue either.â Eyes studying the people in the room, noting anything that could tell them something.Â
Mulling over more possibilities, you hum in response. Turning to Reid, you ask him- hoping that his eidetic memory can tell you anything about the woman even if theyâd only met in passing.Â
âDo you know anything, Spence?â But Reid only pouts at you, a sign that heâs thought about it hard but is coming up empty.Â
Shaking his head, he soberly replies, âNo..I donât think so. Iâ Iâve never seen her before. Sorry.âÂ
Before any more thoughts could be voiced between the three of you, the door to Hotchâs office opens and all four of them file out- the woman walking a little too close to Hotch.Â
-
Youâre approaching your usual seat on the jet beside Morgan and across from Hotch when suddenly Agent Seaver overtakes you and sits on your seat. Caught by surprise, your eyes instinctively go to Hotch whoâs already looking at you.Â
He nods to himself, moving from the aisle seat to the one by the window. But it appears Agent Seaver misunderstood his gesture and moved beside him, âOh! Thank you, sir.â Even going as far as touching his arm and leaning closely.Â
Now, youâve never been a violent person. Rage has just never overcome your senses like that but today.. of all daysâ you couldnât help the image of spilling your hot chocolate all over her cream blouse.Â
You donât even notice that youâre frowning as you sit beside Morgan, somehow still unaware of how much their closeness really upsets you. You honestly thought youâve maintained an expressionless face until Morgan looks up from his file and leans close to whisper in your ear, âYouâll need claws not paws, baby girl.â Winking at you as you separate.Â
You steal a glance at Hotch only to see him watching you and Morgan with furrowed brows. He almost looks normal if it werenât for the clenching of his jaw thatâs his tell of irritation. Moving your gaze to Seaver, in case you missed something thatâs causing his new mood, you find her reading the case file.Â
As you return your gaze on Hotch, you watch as Seaver touches his arm again and engages him in conversation about the case. Itâs through the whole jet ride that you had to stomach the constant Agent Hotchner, Agent Hotchner! paired with a giggle or a slight touch. UGH!
If it werenât for Strauss personally recommending Agent Seaver as a consultant for this case, you would have doneâ âŚstill absolutely nothing. You had no claim whatsoever over Hotch. Morgan and Rossi may tease the two of you occasionally, forcing that he treats you specially or whatever but his behavior could simply be chalked off as him being a good and attentive boss.Â
And yes, okay fine. You may have some moments here and there⌠but! they could honestly just be built up in your head because of the feelings you have for him. Like when he said he likes it when you stare? Come on, being stared at can be flattering and thatâs just a universal truth.Â
-Â
After a whole day of coming up with theories, visiting crime scenes and M.E.âs, youâre all completely spent. Lounging in the makeshift discussion room, all of you are still working tirelessly on the case given that the unsubâs on a spree and his timeline is alarmingly short.Â
Reidâs been silently staring at the board for 20 minutes while Morganâs pretending to read files of potential suspects with his legs stretched out and feet on the table, âThis is impossible. We just donât have enough.â He exclaims as he tosses the file on the table with a thud.Â
To the left of Morgan, youâre also silently mulling over files of potential suspects. Not wanting to admit that heâs right, you guys donât have enoughâŚbodies. You barely have anything on the guy, barely any clues- for a working profile.Â
You sigh heavily, peeling your eyes off the paper and looking at the board. âReid?â The boy genius shakes his head softly, confirming that the known dump sites donât say much about the unsubâs comfort zones or hunting ground.Â
You suddenly wonder where Seaver, Hotch and Rossi are. You and Morgan got back to the precinct at around 11PM, and you realize you havenât seen any of them, âWhere are the others?âÂ
Morgan, in an effort to lighten the mood, jumps at the chance to tease you, âHmm. I think what youâre really asking is: Whereâs Hotch and is he with Seaver?â He punches your arm lightly, making it obvious heâs only teasing.Â
The smug, playful smile on his face makes you fight one of your own, desperately trying to not give yourself away, âShut up,â hitting him in the head softly with the file in your hand.Â
While you two were exchanging playful glares, Reid interjects, âSeaver wanted to turn in early since sheâs also the one meeting with the families tomorrow so Hotch brought her to the hotel.âÂ
You instantly lift your gaze to him and watch as he removes the markerâs cap and scribbles rapidly on the board, quickly adding âAnd Iâm pretty sure Rossiâs getting us coffee from the diner around the block.âÂ
You want to blame it on your exhaustionâ your inability and ineffectiveness at hiding how you truly feel about what Reid just revealed to you, groaning loudly in pain and frustration. You put your head in your hands, muffling the sounds youâre making that are somehow a combination of a laugh and a sob.Â
Morgan understands your reaction immediately and laughs out loud.Â
âItâs not funny!â There was honestly no point in hiding it. As much as Morgan teased you, you knew he wouldnât tell anyway, and Reid.. well, he was honestly an even better keeper of secrets than Morgan, Rossi and Garcia.Â
He puts a hand on your shoulder to comfort you, âBaby girl, worry not. You know you hold a special place in boss manâs heart.â Then gripping both your wrists to pry your hands off your face.Â
Pressing your face even further into your hands, you let out a muffled version of âThatâs not true!â that came out more as âDaffs noft thwu!âÂ
When Morgan successfully pries your hands off your face, youâre surprised to see Reidâs moved from the board to behind Morgan, half leaning half sitting on the table, curiously watching you.Â
Morgan turns around to look at the door behind you, making sure the coast is clear before he says, âKid. Be real with me for a sec⌠are you blind?â That was not the question you were expecting.Â
You must have looked so lost because he continues, âHotch cares for you. Deeply. And not in the same way he does for us. Youâve gotta have felt that, kid.â Funny, you are starting to feel like a kidâ the only thing missing are his hands on your shoulders to complete that huddle pep talk experience.Â
âThatâs just notââ you try to start. But Reid swiftly raises his hand, signing you to stopâ
âDid you know that every morning Hotch makes sure all the pens and mug handles on your desk are pointing to the rightâ the way you need it to beâ in case the night janitors move any out of place?â
âOr that he never really ate lunch in the office before but started bringing sandwiches and other food he could microwave, while timing his lunches with yours presumably so he could strike up a conversation with you during break?âÂ
âOr do you remember that one time the AC in the bullpen broke and we were all sweating badly, and I said the heat was making me too thirsty then he disappeared into his office and came back with a bottle of water and an orange juice box only to give it to you?âÂ
Morgan lets out a loud laugh at that one while Reid pouts playfully, âI mean I was genuinely dying then.âÂ
Not without his own input, Morgan smiles softly at you with a raised brow âDid you know he personally restocks your favorite hot chocolate in the pantry and on the jet? Including the marshmallows.âÂ
You breathe in deeply, the revelations sounding too good to be true but winding nonetheless. You crack a small joke, trying to play it off âAnd I thought the bureau was just feeling really generous.âÂ
The two, who have grown to be such brothers, give you the exact same look of Really?Â
As Reid rounds the table to go back and stand by the board, Morgan catches your attention and holds your eye, âLook, thereâs so much more, kid. But they all point to the same thing.â He says this as softly as possible, as if to not scare you away.Â
You let out a soft, breathy laugh. Shaking your head, âThat just canât be true.âÂ
With all three of your backs to the door, you donât notice Rossi nearing. You just suddenly hear his voice from behind, rounding the table and settling the coffee cups in front of all of you, âCoffee, anyone?âÂ
As if trapped in the null of the previous conversation, youâre still looking at Morgan as you lean back in your chair, slumping further to seek non-existent cover. Reid, who is now back in his own world with the board, is handed a cup by Rossi, who didnât even turn to look- only stretching out an arm to receive it and mumbling a distracted âThanks.â Â
Rossi, who is simply too smart for his own good, impressively senses something hanging in the air, nonchalantly asking about the tailend of a conversation he was not supposed to hear, âSo⌠what canât be true?âÂ
Back to lounging excessively on a chair that is a tad too tiny for him, with legs outstretched and feet on the corner on the tableâ Morgan spouts, âThat sheâs Hotchâs girl, and has no reason to be jealous of Seaverâ who by the way needs the HR orientation more than Penelope and I.âÂ
-
Nowâ all of your backs are to the door except Rossiâs. Not one of you tried to move due to fatigue, let alone look.
Unbeknownst to you, Morgan, and Reid, on the way back to the precinct from the hotel, Hotch had the genius thought of picking up Rossi so the latter wouldnât have to walk a block with trays of coffee on hand.
Hotch and Rossi arrived together. And as Rossi went around the table to give you your cups of coffee, Hotch stayed behindâ leaning on the doorframe with arms crossed, watching you and the team.
Imagine his surprise, hearing what Morgan just said. His heart skipped a beat, his stomach dropped. His entire being froze entirely.. What? Jealous?Â
In his mind, he had two choices: Act like he didnât hear it and save you from embarrassment or use it to his advantage and make his intentions clear..ish.Â
-
You gasp loudly at his bluntnessâ and in front of Rossi! Straightening in your chair and pointing an accusatory finger at Morgan, âYou littleâ I am NOT jealous! and I am NOT HotchâsââÂ
Cut off by someone loudly clearing their throat from behind all of you, you all freeze, including Reid who hasnât been actively paying attention until now.Â
The hair on your neck stands up as you hear the nearing footsteps, already envisioning digging your own grave in your head when finally, Hotch is standing right beside you.Â
Youâre all still pretty frozen, save from the slow movement which is your eyes slowly lifting its gaze to the man in question until they meet his hazel orbs. He holds your stare as he leans on the desk, arms straining in his shirtâÂ
Out of the corner of your eye you can see Rossi fighting a smile, and just as youâre about to mentally curse him in your head, youâre broken out of your thoughts by a deep voice,Â
âYou donât think youâre my girl?âÂ

summary - the team is out for drinks and people canât stop hitting on your boyfriend
pairing - spencer reid x bau!gf

âHeâs so hot.â
âUgh that hair!â
âHe is so kissable.â
You had only been at the bar for an hour and youâd already hit your limit for the amount of women that have hit on your boyfriend.
The worst thing about it, is that Spencer is so oblivious to it that you feel silly for being even a little bit jealous.
You were currently at the bar ordering some drinks and were listening to a group of girls lust after your boyfriend, who was currently sitting with the rest of the team in a booth.
âI mean seriously⌠he looks like heâd know how to please a woman.â One of them said.
You gave the girls a brief look to make sure you werenât making things up in your head and to your dismay they were all looking Spencerâs way. Curse him for sitting at the end of the booth.
You then looked back to Spencer who was listening intensely to something Rossi was saying.
He did look good. Like, really good.
Heâd recently had a haircut that made him look that little bit older, whilst also keeping that youth. Hotch had told him he looked like he was part of a boy-band, which in a way he did. The hot one, if he was.
You loved his new hair. It was so fluffy and soft. Perfect to run your hands through.
It just irked you that other people were thinking the same thing. And so openly.
He was even extra handsome tonight with his work clothes on. It was hot so he had taken off his waistcoat, so it was just his shirt - which he had rolled the sleeves up on - his loose tie and his fitted trousers.
âIâm going to go talk to him.â One of them said, making you tense up.
You wished the bartender would hurry up so you could go back and sit next to Spencer already. You trust Spencer more than anything - but it was these girls you didnât trust.
âOh my God. Never mind. Heâs coming over here. Howâs my hair?â
You thanked the bartender as he placed the drinks on a circular tray in front of you.
The girls were all nervously excited next to you.
Until they werenât.
Because you felt Spencer slide up behind you, resting one of his hands at the bottom of your spine and the other placed on the bar edge.
âYou okay?â He asked, leaning down to kiss the top of your head as you swayed your body into his.
Spencer was standing perpendicular to you so it gave you the opportunity to rest the side of your head on his chest. It allowed you to just breathe him in as if it were just you and him in the room.
You nodded slowly, not really knowing how else to answer.
âNeed help with these?â He asked, tapping the tray.
âPlease.â
âMâkay. Iâll get these. You grab some straws.â
You were sad when his hand left your back to reach for the tray of drinks. You also really wanted to take Spencer away from these girls though.
Before you could both go back, one of the girls touched Spencer on his forearm and questioned him.
âExcuse me, are you two together?â She asked, only looking at Spencer for the answer. It was almost as if you were invisible.
âUh, yeah. We are.â Spencer gave a polite smile.
âOh.â She said, surprised.
Spencer didnât respond and neither did you. He just smiled before nudging you to keep walking.
Once you were out of their earshot he asked, âThat was weird right?â
âYeah.â It was your turn to give him a small smile this time, keeping your head down as you returned to the booth.
<.><.><.>
The atmosphere had changed.
You had felt good at the start of the night - an hour ago - but now everything felt a little different.
It no doubt had everything to do with the girls that had been surprised that Spencer was dating you. Also it didnât help that Spencer still looked great and was gaining more and more hungry eyes.
You sipped your drink even though you werenât interested in having a good time any more. You wanted to be alert in case you needed to be for Spencerâs sake.
âTell me whatâs wrong.â Spencer said.
He was still sat on the end of the booth, but he had one arm tucker over the back of the booth and down around your shoulder to keep you pressed close to him. For someone who was okay with not fully understanding social interactions, he had always done a perfect job of being with you.
The rest of the team were talking and laughing over drinks.
âItâs okay.â You shook your head.
âItâs not if itâs bothering you.â Spencer argued.
âItâs silly.â
You looked from the team to the rest of the bar where people were still looking Spencerâs way.
Damn, why did he have to be so attractive?
You werenât sure how to approach the subject with Spencer though. He was too sweet to take his gaze off you for even a second to notice how many gazes were on him. It wasnât even a him problem. Good for him for looking so pretty, but it was just difficult trying to be okay with the extra attention that him being pretty came with.
It sounded so stupid and it didnât even make sense to you, so it was impossible trying to think of how to bring it up to Spencer.
âIs it the case?â Spencer asked.
You sighed, âNo.â
âDid I do something? I feel like thatâs quite likely.â
You shook your head, feeling yourself getting worked up about this.
Spencerâs arm pulled you further into his body and his other arm detached from his drink so he could rest his palm on your thigh.
âIâm sorry for ruining your night.â
âYouâre not ruining my night. I just donât like seeing you upset.â
âI know.â
âWell, you tell me when you want to leave and weâll go okay?â
âOkay.â
<.><.><.>
Spencer was brushing his teeth when you blurted out those three words.
âSorry if I was weird tonight.â You apologised, finishing off your nighttime routine in Spencerâs apartment.
He mumbled something along the lines of âit doesnât matterâ, but it was hard to tell when he had a mouth full of toothpaste.
Your chest heaved heavy breaths as you watched him with adoration.
He looked so soft and homely standing in his bathroom, brushing his teeth in his pyjamas with you. He was just so damn perfect and it was because of that that you had to tell him.
âIt was your hair!â You blurted out before you could control yourself.
âHuh?â He questioned with a mouthful of toothpaste still. He took a brief glance to the mirror to check his hair before turning back to you.
âYour hair! I think itâs made you really hot. N-not that you werenât hot before Spence but- oh my god, what am I saying?â You let out a shaky breath before continuing, âI was jealous okay? Really jealous because everyone at that bar was staring at you like they wanted you and I-I know you and me areâ and you would neverâ and I â but I justâŚ
Spencer spat out his toothpaste.
âY/NâŚâ
âI couldnât stop thinking that like youâre mine and what right did they have to chat you up, let alone look at you that way? I meanâ.â
âBabeâŚâ
âI love you, okay?!â You proclaimed. You stood there in shock for a moment, not knowing where to take this now that youâd announced that.
âY/NâŚâ
âI do.â You nodded rapidly, âI do, I really do love you a-and I think it really hit me tonight when I saw you being loved on by all those other women.â
Spencer dropped his toothbrush and took a step towards you.
âAll of that tonight was because you love me?â He questioned, trying to wrap his head around this.
âI think so, yeah.â
You pulled the sleeves of your jumper down over your hands as something to fidget with. You were growing nervous now for Spencer to say something.
âWell that makes sense.â He nodded, âI.. I think that means I love you too.â
âReally?â You asked, eyes wide as you watched him figure things out for himself.
âYeah. I mean⌠I was frustrated as you sounded at all those men looking at you all night. It was driving me crazy.â
âPeople looking at me?â You frowned.
âYou were the prettiest person in the room.â
âSpenceâŚâ You pouted, feeling your eyes tear with happy emotions.
You canât believe that he had been feeling the exact same as you all this time. All it would have taken was a conversation earlier to talk things through and you both wouldnât have been feeling so vulnerable.
âI love you, Y/N, even though Iâm telling you in the most un-romantic setting.â
âYouâre wrong. This is like the most romantic it could be for me.â You smiled and looped your arms around his neck. You felt his come around your waist.
âThis?â
âYeah. You, me and a little bit of toothpaste. Thatâs all I need to know that I love you.â
âAnd my hair.â
âHuh?â
âI distinctly remember you talking about how hot my hair was beforeâŚâ He chuckled and you thumped your forehead down on his chest to escape the embarrassment.
âStop.â
âNo, never. Just like Iâm never getting another haircut.â
You lifted your head at that, resting your chin on his chest as you looked up at him with heart eyes.
âI could live with that.â You smiled.
Spencer stayed looking at you for a few moments.
You could tell he was taking a minute to process everything as well as continue to study every little feature on your face. You prompted him to say something when he stared a little too long though.
âJust like seeing you smile. Thatâs all.â He said.
It was as simple as that.
You both loved each other. You both loved seeing each other smile. To keep that a forever kind of thing you would have to promise communication and accept thereâll be moments of jealousy. Those moments will be made better though when you remind each other that itâs each other youâre going home to.
I love Bucky đĽ°
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Avenger!Reader
Word Count: 1K
Summary: When a trigger sends Bucky back into the grip of the Winter Soldier, he shadows you with an unyielding protectiveness that leaves the team on edge, though he doesn't harm anyone. After days of tension and careful steps, Bucky finally breaks through the icy barrier, returning to himself in a quiet, tender moment, finding solace in your presence.
You shouldâve known something was wrong the moment Bucky went still.
One second, the mission was wrapping upâjust another Hydra facility wiped off the map, just another set of goons taken down. The next, something triggered him. A phrase muttered in Russian over a radio, the faintest crackle of a long-dead handlerâs voice. You saw the shift in his posture before he even turned around, the telltale tightening of his jaw, the blankness overtaking those usually warm blue eyes.
Bucky Barnes was gone.
The Winter Soldier stood in his place.
And yetâhe didnât hurt you.
Not when he turned to face the team, his body language bristling with danger. Not when Steve hesitated before stepping forward, his hands raised in a placating gesture. And certainly not when you cautiously called his name, your voice softer than the others.
Instead, the Soldier moved between you and everyone else.
A shield.
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
Back at the Tower, you thought the episode would pass. That maybe, after a few hours, after enough familiar sights and sounds, Bucky would shake it off like he always did.
But the Soldier wasnât leaving. And he had decided you were his mission.
Not to eliminate.
To protect.
At first, it was just hovering. You movedâhe followed. You satâhe stood at your back, ever watchful. The others gave him space, exchanging worried glances when they thought you werenât looking. Steve was tense, obviously trying to figure out how to break through, while Tony was less patient about it.
âThis is a problem,â Stark declared after the first few hours, arms crossed as he leaned against the counter. âI mean, I hate to be the one to say it, but we have a fully armed, brainwashed assassin in the Tower again, and we all know how that went last time.â
âHeâs not attacking anyone,â Natasha pointed out.
âYet,â Tony shot back.
You ignored the argument as best you could, focusing instead on cooking something for Buckyâsomething normal, something familiar, something that might ground him. His eyes tracked you the entire time.
Then you miscalculated the heat on the stove.
The oil in the pan hissed and spat, and a second later, you hissed too as a sharp sting bloomed across your palm. You barely had time to react before there was a sudden blur of motion.
Bucky was on you instantly.
His flesh hand gripped your wrist, his metal one hovering protectively over the stove, as if it had personally attacked you. His face was unreadable, but his grip was firm, his hold gentle as he examined the burn.
âIâm okay,â you assured him, but he wasnât listening.
Instead, he took the cold pack you hadnât even reached for yet and pressed it carefully to your palm, his jaw tight, his brows furrowed in focus. You exchanged a look with Steve over Buckyâs shoulder, and the Captain exhaled, something like relief flashing in his eyes.
He was still in there.
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
The Soldier continued shadowing you for the next two days, much to Tonyâs frustration. But as Natasha had pointed outâhe wasnât hurting anyone.
Unless they posed a threat to you.
That was something Steve learned firsthand during a sparring session. You had barely landed a hit before Bucky, watching from the sidelines, had moved. The next thing you knew, Steve was on his ass, blinking up at the ceiling, while Bucky stood between you like a human wall, eyes cold and calculating.
âFor the record,â Steve grunted as he sat up, rubbing his ribs, âI was letting her win.â
Bucky wasnât convinced.
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
It wasnât until you needed a medical checkup that things really came to a head.
âBarnes, I have to actually examine her,â Dr. Cho said patiently, eyeing where Bucky stood between you and the med bayâs equipment.
âNo,â he replied flatly.
âBuckyââ you tried.
âThe room is secure.â
âThatâs not theââ
âShe does not require assistance.â
âI do require assistance,â you corrected. âBecause I burned my hand and twisted my shoulder thanks to a certain super soldier overreacting in the gym.â
Bucky didnât move.
You exhaled slowly.
âOkay,â you said, shifting tactics. âThen stay.â
That got his attention.
âIf you want to make sure nothing happens to me,â you reasoned, âthen you can stay here. But you have to let the doctor check me out.â
His expression was unreadable for a long moment. Then, after what felt like an eternityâ
ââŚUnderstood.â
Progress.
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
When it finally broke, it wasnât dramatic.
There was no grand trigger, no huge revelation.
Just a moment of quiet.
You had fallen asleep on the couch, exhaustion finally winning after two days of Buckyâs overprotective hovering. When you woke up, it was to warm hands gently brushing over your wristâboth flesh and metal, but softer this time, as if relearning the feeling of touching you.
And then you heard itâhis breath hitching.
A tiny, barely-there sound, but one filled with something raw.
You blinked sleepily, looking up.
Bucky was staring at you. Not the Soldier. Bucky.
His face was pale, his jaw tight, his eyes wideâhis real eyes.
ââŚDoll?â His voice cracked over the word, like it had been caught in his throat.
You smiled sleepily, shifting so your fingers curled around his. âHey, Buck.â
His exhale was shaky. His shoulders sagged. And when you tugged him down to you, he didnât resist.
He just buried his face in your neck and held on.
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
âYou scared the hell out of me, you know,â you murmured later, your fingers absentmindedly running through his hair as he rested against you.
âI know,â he admitted, voice rough.
âYou threw Steve like a ragdoll.â
ââŚYeah.â
ââŚKind of hot, not gonna lie.â
A laugh. Quiet, but real.
And just like that, Bucky Barnes was back.
Request from @sunshineeyessss - please something with squish! I miss her, if it can be something angst like her getting really hurt or something in those lines

Author's note: I am not making a Squish series, this is a one time part 2. Please don't request more Squish after this guys.
Lando and y/n are rarely apart at this point in their relationship. But y/n had a bachelorette party to attend and to say she was having a good time would be an understatement.
Lando did get constant text, videos and even a couple short-lived phone calls from the night.
But the joy and excitement came to a pretty abrupt end when he got a phone call from another drunk attendee of the party and finding out that his girlfriend fell down not one but two flights of stairs.
Which is how he ended up rushing to the hospital.
"Squ-Y/n y/l/n?" Lando calls having to stop himself from using her nickname.
"It was mentioned you'd ask for Squish. We've been told." The nurse comments not seeming impressed by the nickname but he can't tell if she actively dislikes him or not. "She's room 2F. That way."
Lando moves to follow the directions and finds the young woman looking pretty beat up. Her exposed knees looking pretty beaten up. But the main concern is her cast bound arm in a sling.
She broke her forearm, her elbow and her collarbone all on the right side.
"Squish." Lando sighs placing the flowers he'd made sure to grab on the way there since he's not going to be caught slacking but in reality he knows his still very much drunk girlfriend is looking very emotional as her good but still bruised arm raises making it obvious she very much wants a hug. "Aww. My Squish."
"I was having such a good time then I need to the toilet and I fell." Y/n hiccups. "What stupid club has stairs down to the toilets anyway?"
"A very stupid one." Lando reaffirms as a nurse that thankfully looks a little happier to be there and happier to see him enters.
"Hi, you must be Lando. Y/n told us all about you while we got the cast on. We did need someone sober to discharge her so we knew she was going home safely. So once you sign and sort out all the paperwork, you're free to get her home. Just keep an eye on her. She did hit her head, not too hard but we always want to be cautious with that stuff."
"Yeah, I got her. Thank you." Lando nods with a smile as she hands him the clipboard with all the forms.
"Lando." Y/n mumbles making him move towards her and absently sit on her better side, not that she necessarily has a good side, just so she can touch him somehow. "I love you."
"I love you too, squish. I might need your help for some of these forms...I think I know most of it, but I just want to double check that I'm not putting anything in wrong." Lando mumbles focusing on the paperwork before he smiles at her and leans over for a kiss at the face she's just playing with the hem of his top.
"Ok."
-
"Alright, Squish. I am all yours for however long you want me." Lando sighs once he's got her set up in bed.
And immediately y/n just wants to cuddle. The woman isn't taking into account how awkward a cuddle is going to be and Lando has to figure out the best means of getting them into a position that won't disturb her collarbone which they actually have to go back to the hospital for in a week or so to check that it's not healing incorrectly, otherwise there might be a need for surgery since collarbones can be a little difficult to heal.
Eventually they settle on her lying with her back to his chest as she sits between his legs. Just as the safest position to make sure he's not unsettling any broken bones or making her uncomfortable but still giving her the comfort she wants from him.
"Squish, are you awake?" Lando asks noticing her body pressing down more heavily on him with him realising she's probably asleep.
Sheâs still on some pretty heavy pain medication since her whole body is pretty battered even if it was her arm and shoulder that took the brunt of her fall. So itâs not surprise sheâs passed out. But the issue is, Lando now has to pee.
By some miracle he manoeuvres himself out from behind her and gets to the toilet but there's no surprise when he's halfway through his pee, y/n appears shuffling with a pout.
"I had to pee, squish. You were pressing on my bladder." Lando laughs as she comes up behind him him and hug him with her good arm as he smiles at her, resisting the usual urge to lean back on hr since he knows her other broken limb is very much pressed gently against him. "How are you feeling?"
"Achy."
He knew that would be that answer but he doesn't like it anymore now he's actually hearing it.
"We'll sleep and cuddle then you get you something to eat." Lando states after tucking himself back away and flushing the toilet before he moves to wash his hands while y/n follows like a little puppy. "Ok, squish. Back to bed for you."

Walking into the paddock for the next race. Y/n is very much latched onto Lando and his concern for her not gaining more injury means he's holding her just as tightly.
"There's Lando in the garage, and no surprise, he is walking in with Squish. I was talking to Lando early in the week, he was saying that she actually fell down two flights of stairs while at a bachelorette party. She must've landed entirely on her arm. She broke her arm, he elbow and her collarbone. I just hope all concern for her isn't distracting him from the race this weekend. I doubt it. Usually having her there with him seems to actually bring out the best of him." Martin states as the camera remains on the McLaren garage and they see Lando continue to talk to y/n as he also speaks to Jon.
Lando proves that y/n definitely isn't a distraction even with how injured she is because his weekend is mega and while y/n is thankfully not feeling the pain she'd been feeling initially and actually the gifts from fans and Lando making sure to spare any attention to her that he can.
"I'm really starting to hate this." Y/n comments while Lando gets ready for bed, having already helped her. "I can't cuddle you properly."
"Hey...come on now just think, squish, it means when you can cuddle me properly and you'll have a new appreciation for it." Lando smiles before he climbs into bed and pecks her lips. "I love you, squish."
"I love you too. I just hate 4-6 weeks healing time."
