The most interesting part of the FrankenStan au, at least in my opinion, is the aftermath, and its absolutely heartbreaking that so few people talk about it.
Imagine you're Stan. Your brother, that you thought hated you (and in some cases literally killed you), brought you back to life. Now you have to live with the knowledge that you died. You may not even be entirely you anymore, depending on how damaged your body was by the time he started piecing you back together. Imagine waking up with skin and organs and bones that aren't your own, and now you have a good idea about what happens after death, more so than even those who had near death experiences. You were cold. Your heart stopped pumping for weeks, months, maybe even years.
And now imagine you're Ford. You've spent all your time since your brother's death trying to bring him back to life. The man you thought ruined your life. The man who always was there for you, ever since you shared the womb. Your best friend. Your other half. His blood is on your hands figuratively and literally. You have all the time in the world to consider every mistake you've made, every choice that's led to him laying there on the metal table of your lab, cold as your heart on the day he was kicked out. But, after putting your blood, sweat, and tears into bringing him back to life, he's there. He's alive. There's so much you want to say. So many apologies you want to make.
And then you realize. He's alive, but the world is dangerous. It took your brother away once, whose to say it won't do it again? You've seen his blood, his organs. You know first hand how fragile his body is. The world isn't safe for him. You couldn't protect him once. That's not going to happen again.
they passed ofa around like a basketball game
expanding on the thought of kudou getting the call sign 'hero' and afo getting irked by it for some reason
If all a corrupt politician has to do is say that "they are in favor of Palestine" to have the support of the people, then the people are stupid as fuck.
If you can't distinguish a lie from a sincere feeling, you need help.
Anyway, that fact that Maduro "won" again the elections is not something to celebreate, and im done with people, from USA mainly, saying they are happy just bc the man said "Free Palestine" a couple of days before the elections. And Im saying this as a pro palestine person. If you are from a english speaking country and you have no idea whats going on over here please shut up. We don't need uneducated opinions.
I hug my venezuela brothers and sisters in these hard times.
making a quick disclaimer here: Controversial maybe, but even if he was pro palestine for real that wouldnt change the fact that he is a cruel dictator. People are complex like that. Nothing is always black and white
do you think Vegeta wanted to wish for immortality, not only for the typical evil reasons, but also very strongly likely bc -at that point- that was his only ticket out of Frieza aside from straight up dying? He, of course, stood no chance against Frieza (try as he might), let alone kill him. But if Frieza can't kill him, then he would simply outlive Frieza. That's probably all he had to hang on to. He was really abt to endure eternity if it meant living free of Frieza

Every Saiyan is terrified of something simple. Goku with Needles, Vegeta with Worms...
My thought is that Raditz is petrified of Rats.
Tarble is horrified of Snakes.
Broly might be afraid if cheese. He doesnt trust it.

AU where Inko is the personal Mary Poppins for Todoroki family
1. This is a Dad for One AU where All for One got in a fight with All Might earlier in canon AND his organization was even more devastated. While he was unconscious, the safeguards he set up to send money to his family failed. Inko had to get a job.
2. Because of AFO's early arrest, he never kidnapped Touya after he burned himself. Touya manifested a phoenix ability and regenerated after burning to ashes, surviving and returning to his family. However nothing got better as Enji was even more desperate to stop his oldest son from training and Touya even more convinced he could become a hero and also pull off the phoenix power again if his father would just give him a chance.
3. After Rei burned Shouto and got sent to the hospital, Enji sought out a nanny. However, the Todoroki children drove off everyone he hired. Touya's just a total brat. Fuyumi has a notion in her head that her mother will come back if she can get rid of all the nannies, and on some level resents them for stealing her perceived job. Natsuo got discriminated against by several caretakers for being quirkless, so he joined in. Shouto is the only good kid.
4. Inko got hired because her husband is listed as having a fire quirk and her son is quirkless, so Enji hoped she'd be able to handle his children's unique needs. He also thinks he can use her economic vulnerability to keep her quiet about anything that happens in his house, but he underestimates her. This Inko is a former villain fully aware of his husband's business. Despite her outwardly sweet demeanor, she used to be an assassin with a kill count in the triple digits. She easily sidesteps every prank the children try to pull on her and destroys every trap they send against her with a smile. Touya is convinced she might be a supernatural creature.
5. Shouto is happy because he just wanted a mom who wouldn’t pour boiling water on his face. This boy’s standards are so low that it’s pathetic his family couldn’t meet them.
6. Izuku moves into the house along with Inko and quickly befriends Shouto. Natsuo bonds with Izuku over them both being quirkless. Izuku hates how hard Endeavor trains Shouto and goes to his mom for help.
7. Inko absolutely verbally eviscerates Endeavor for his lousy training plan that is likely to cripple Shouto or burn him out, then presents a much better training plan. She also scolds Endeavor for giving up on his other two children. She presents a list of creative ways to use Fuyumi's ice quirk to kill, including blood-bending and freezing people's blood in their veins. According to her, why can't Natsuo become a hero even if he's quirkless? Finally, she has a plan for Touya to slowly train his body to adapt to his quirk. By this point Touya has been converted to an Inko fan.
8. But Inko isn't done yet. She also chews Endeavor out for giving up too easily on defeating All Might, then presents him with a detailed list of All Might's weaknesses that she obtained from her husband. (Izuku is appalled at this All Might slander, but Inko is not the biggest fan of the hero who maimed her beloved husband.) Endeavor is convinced and decides to re-devote himself to becoming number one. He allows Inko to train his children instead while he focuses on his own career.
9. Inko takes over training all the Todoroki children into unstoppable badasses. They might or might not become heroes, but no one will ever mess with them. She includes Izuku, training him to become a future quirkless hero. In this AU, Inko is more willing to teach Izuku to fight because they no longer have All for One's protection so she believes he needs to defend himself. Plus her husband failed to look out for them so he doesn't get a say. With Endeavor's backing, Izuku has a real chance at becoming a quirkless hero.
10. Izuku's totally going to get One for All, though. Natsuo can become the first quirkless hero.
Hdp , es un bebé, MI bebé.😭
LEAVE HIM ALONE HE’S JUST LITTLE
You know what would be an interesting sci-fi movie? An alien race trying to do a peaceful first contact movie scenario with a non-space-traveling Earth, only to discover that this planet just survived an alien invasion scenario. Double the fun if the first group looks at the Earth after regrouping and immediately knows from the signs which other group of aliens did this, and it's very much a 'dang it, not them again' situation.
The entire rest of the movie is these new aliens trying to coax humans into being friends while we hiss at them from our defenses like an abused stray cat hiding behind a dumpster.
They were at a rather low level of technological development when Cold happened upon planet Sadla, their original homeworld. Many were even still Stone Age hunter-gatherers. With emphasis on the hunting.
They venerated ancestors and practiced animism.
Saiyan children, like humans, are born underdeveloped and take a long time to mature. But Saiyans also have much higher caloric needs than humans. This resulted in lower fertility rates and selected for monogamous behavior even more strongly than in humans.
In pre-Cold Saiyan society, the family was the unit around which all social life was organized. Spousal, fraternal, and parent-child bonds were particularly revered.
In order to better mold the Saiyans for his needs, Cold implemented policies to undermine the family structure. Most notably, taking newborn infants and sticking them in conditioning pods. Some didn’t see their parents until they were already toddlers.
This is where the practice of sending Saiyan infants to clear low-risk planets came from.
Casual sex wasn’t really a thing in Saiyan society, due to aforementioned monogamy. Sex released all kinds of intense hormones that started a pair bond pretty much right away. And the process could be difficult to stop once it started.
It’s for this reason that Saiyan society didn’t have much in the way of formalized marriage ceremonies. Any couple that had sex more than 3 or 4 times was de facto married.
(See also: Vegeta one day referring to Bulma as his wife and Bulma just going along with it.)
They were, for the most part, enormous prudes. Extreme lust for sex was seen as the result of an inadequate lust for battle.
(Vegeta sees humans the way humans see bonobos, basically. It’s especially startling to him because of their outward resemblance to Saiyans,)
