I can hate my own government and hate antisemitic , ignorant and privileged anti Zionists at the same time.

Here are some facts :

Most Israelis didn’t vote for this current government/ don’t support it/ protest against it.myself included.

A lot of Israeli Jews have been here before 1948. Most Israelis are people of Color. We were always here and were not going anywhere.

LGBT Israelis telling you they’re not oppressed isn’t pink washing.

Serving in the idf is mandatory by law and needed as we’re in a constant existential threat.

Israel has never started a war. Literally never.

Western media is filled with inaccurate reporting, misinformation.

Ok no but this literally was announced at 530 this morning as I was waiting to board the shuttle to my flight. A white pilot was there and he started shouting and celebrating and telling everyone after throwing his mask away. When he told me it was almost like he half expected me to throw my mask in the air and dance a jig. I did not.

When we boarded the shuttle, the (black) bus driver refused to drive until all passengers were masked. These 3 (white) pilots, including aforementioned pilot, stared to loudly argue about how the federal government trumps the bus rules and how it was stupid and no longer needed. The bus driver held his ground until the pilots all begrudgingly, sort of, masked up.

When the shuttle dropped us off, I shit you not, this man ran down the terminal telling people the mandate was lifted like he was Paul revere and the British were coming.

I did not remove my n95 for even a second from the moment I stepped out of my car until I got in my rental car over 10 hours later.

As an immune compromised person, the mask mandate was the only thing that really made me feel comfortable flying and now I have to make serious evaluations about every trip I’m scheduled to take this year

reminder that visibly religious people belong at pride. that person wearing a hijab is not a threat to you. that person wearing tzitzit and a kippah is not a threat to you. someone simply wearing an item that is culturally or religiously important to them is not a threat to you. however, your aggression upon seeing a religious person at pride is a threat to them.

Because I'm only seeing other Jews posting about this, non-Jews I need you to be aware that for the past month or two there has been a wave of bomb threats and swattings at synagogues all across the US. They usually do it when services are being livestreamed. I haven't seen a single non-Jew talking about this. High holidays are coming up in a few weeks, which is when most attacks happen against our communities. We're worried, and we need people to know what's happening to us.
