phenomenally failed at rizzing up my friends cousins at her wedding
In King Ludwig II’s defense, if I had basically infinite discretionary funds, was accountable to absolutely no one, and was king of a country full of picturesque landscapes, you couldn’t stop me from building myself a big gay fairytale castle on a mountaintop either.
I am becoming really fond of Kidnapfam 2.0 (Celegorm & Elured & Elurin) Because In my mind, its like the opposite of actual kidnap fam. Maglor and Maedhros kidnap Elrond and Elros and they become a family, while Elured and Elurin force Celegorm to be their dad.
They kidnapped him
can you imagine you go to a fancy italian restaurant and before you go through the doors the doorman stops you and is like Signore Per Fevore, I Simply Must Remove Your Jacket Before You Enter and youre like well if you must, its getting a little shabby anyways and he says It Is My Pleasure Signore and then he smashes you over the head and cuts you up into little pieces for your flavour and aroma. such is the life of the humble garlic
15 years later, being married to you still feels like getting away with something
Chinese weighlifter Li Wenwen successfully defended her title, winning the gold medal in the women's over 81kg category at the Paris Olympics on Sunday!
In her private life, Li is actually a fan of traditional Chinese Hanfu.

(Saw this post on Facebook and loved it, and since Facebook always steals Tumblr posts, I figure I can do the reverse and steal this Facebook post)
literally nothing worse than when someone hits you up in the DMs and it’s just a man running an entire porn blog 😑 get out of my HOUSE!!! fuck off
NASA advertising "do you want to be an astronaut" to tumblr users surely means something. What have you found out there, NASA? What have you found that you believe tumblr users, specifically, are best equipped to handle?
stupid stupid. i don’t know why im feeling so upset about this i think its just because for the first time in my life boys are being nice to me and of course im mistaking them being just friendly people with attraction. and so of course it hurts
i loved one direction with an all-consuming force when i was younger. it hurts deeply to mourn someone you were a massive fan of as teenager, and became a peer of as an adult.
i know people change and grief is unsure or complicated when it’s attached to a fond memory or the feeling a person gave you and not tangibly the person themself. i can see many of you on here are struggling with that right now and i understand.
a few years ago i purchased a home that Liam previously owned. there were rumors the house was haunted. He assured me it was not, and i believed him. because i know the ghosts that haunt us aren’t tethered to buildings. They live in parts of us that are harder to reach and they go wherever we do.
as a parent, a fellow artist, and a fan, i simply cannot fathom this untimely loss. my heart goes out to his family, friends, and the fans. 💔
This is so wholesome
The funniest homophobia I ever experienced was a Mormon lady at my work telling me she would accept me being gay because we have to get along as coworkers but I really should consider not being gay because gay people have sex like animals (especially gay men) and she just couldn't stop thinking about it and how gross we are. She started really getting distressed, near tears, and saying 'I can't stop thinking about it. I can't stop." over and over and miming some kind of sex acts with her hands and I was like ?????? What is happening???? One of the other Mormon ladies had to come over and pat her on the back and help her sit down to help her calm down and our boss gave her the afternoon off due to being too upset to work.
Exterior, Hillary Clinton’s doorstep, 3AM
Kamala Harris, looking her version of disheveled and unhinged (which is to say she’s still in the same immaculate suit from her speech earlier in the day but she’s lost her high heels, has exactly five hairs out of place, and there is a discreet smear of Dorito dust on her fingertips): I’m sorry, I just didn’t know where else to go.
Hillary, in a cozy bathrobe, but perfectly made up and coiffed: Honey, I’ve been waiting for you to show up since they called Pennsylvania. (Hands Kamala a margarita and ushers her inside.)
I love my people and it's amazing to see so many of us turn up today, but it's like herding very friendly cats 😂
there are times in one's life where one must simply review anecdotes from one's childhood and think to oneself "wow, that was an autism in a trench coat"
this was too good to not post here
A gothic horror story where a gentleman from a good family gets haunted by something monstrous, which follows him around and keeps killing people around him at utter random, in cruel and horrifying ways. Specifically within circumstances where the protagonist has no alibi, and everything indicates that he committed the murders.
But the real horror is not that he would find himself accused of the murders, but that the people around him naturally assume that he did do it, but genuinely do not care, because the victims are never people that the society around him considers "important". The scullery maid of his household is found brutalised beyond recognition in a room where even the ceiling has been splattered with blood, and a constable of the local police brushes it off as a case of household discipline gone wrong, being horrifyingly casual with the assumption that the protagonist severely beat a girl in his service to death, and will dismiss it as an accident. The street urchin that the protagonist was seen talking with - wanting to help this poor little orphan - is found decapitated, severed head in the protagonist's fireplace. This, too, is calmly swept under the rug.
After every horrifying murder, the protagonist tries to seek help, to present the crime to authorities in hopes of getting some semblance of help, or at least clearing his own name of this, but every time it's brushed off. "These things do happen", he is reassured, like it's perfectly normal that a mansion of that size has a secret garden of unmarked graves in one shady corner.
The real horror is the ever-encompassing implication that this is perfectly normal.
A fantasy story of a hero on an epic quest to recover a memory that they have lost - the wizard who wiped it out told them that returning the memory is not within their power. The protagonist specifically asked to have the memory removed, and if they want it back, they must quest to the house of another wizard on the opposite side of the realm, who is capable of such things.
Once the protagonist finally completes this quest, and regains the memory, they see that it was a huge mistake. This memory is horrifying, awful, it brings no fulfillment nor solace and offers no answer or explanation that they wouldn't have already had. It is not worth having, not worth remembering. They ask the wizard to take it back, undo the spell they just did. The wizard that returned the memory says that they cannot do that any more than they could unpour water. To have it wiped off, the protagonist must journey back to the first wizard.
It is heavily implied that this isn't the first time this has happened. As a matter of fact it's been happening for quite a while now. The two wizards keep sending this poor motherfucker back and forth across the realm just to annoy each other.
If covid hadn't happened I would've had a foursome by now
