Ok lets assess why you should binge it:

1. Gay (no need for further explanation)

2. Butt loads of trauma. You won't be disappointed

3. Good fandom, amazing fan art and fics

4. Character development isn't progressingx it's unfurling in this beautiful way that maked it seem like the characters have this personality in their core, and now they are slowing revealing it (like the actual personality doesn't change it just gets revealed I guess)

5.deely complicated and devoted relationship

6.cinematograohy is good

7. Main plotline is Edwardian think who is a reperessed gay and 100 ish years old technically serves cunt and bewitches everyone with his autistic mannerisms. Yes genuinely.

8. Lesbian relationship going on although the series is focused on the relationship between the two male MCs their relationship is not shoved into the shadows but doesn't take attention away from the main ship

9. Personalities are diverse and rich with plenty opportunities to discover more

10. Generally a well done unrushed series you can revel in. Word of advice is the first 2 episodes are a bit meh (personal opinion) but you get hooked episode 3 and you won't regret it.

I think Charles grins fondly when Edwin's being a bitch because he genuinely thinks it's hilarious and adorable. But I also think he admires the shit out of Edwin's unwillingness to tone himself down or file off his sharp edges. Charles needs to be liked so much, and he spends so much time setting himself aside and tying himself in knots to be what other people need, and Edwin just doesn't. He is exactly and entirely his snippy bitchy self and everyone else can take it or leave it. I think there's something exhilarating in that for Charles - both a sense that by attaching himself to Edwin he can borrow some of that fearlessness about outside judgments, and a thrill of knowing that Edwin can ignore everyone else's opinion because Charles is always, entirely, inarguably enough for him.

And there are downsides to that dynamic. Charles works really hard to manage the vibe, and the fact that Edwin doesn't really do that back (isn't equipped to do it back, because he doesn't read people and intuit what they need from him the way Charles does) sometimes leaves him feeling like he's carrying that weight alone. (who else is gonna keep spirits up? you?)

But also there's a reason Charles is drawn to stubborn difficult people with sharp edges who don't apologise for who they are, and I don't think he'd give up Edwin's bitchiness for anything.

Asking a favor from Lockwood & Co fans

To all Lockwood & Co fans on Tumblr, I'm here to ask a favor from the bottom of my heart.

Dead Boy Detectives recently got cancelled, and there's currently a push to get the cancellation reversed. I know you all know the pain of a great show cut short, so I'm asking: would you please give it a chance? Or if you're busy and don't have time to watch, please stream it in the background with the sound on but low.

If you could help out another fandom, we would all be super grateful.

Is it anyone else who doesn't ship Tragic Mick and the Cat King? Personally (just my opinion don't burn me at stake) but I find the dynamic between a 30 (35? 25? Under 40 idk) cunty cat god and a 50ish (once again forgive my inability to correctly guess ages) calm, grounded walrus man just a little odd

Drew her 2 ish years ago, maybe earlier and I LOVE HER :3 my two brain cells collided and they were like 'HEY! You know what would be great? EAR TUFTS!' So ear tufts it was.

She was born 5007 AS so 2 years younger than the first prophecy dragons I think. She's an icewing whose full name is Snow elf or elfie for short :).

Her mother is called Eskimo and her dad is called Polar, but he left some time ago because he was abusive and not very nice :(. Because of this her mother was kinda depressed and neglectful (she was s neglectful because of the mental blocks she was facing - she didn't choose this :( )

But she now has a step dad called _____ (haven't decided). He's a mudwing and has slowly been helping Eskimo and Elfie heal for a couple years now. Now Elfie has a younger sister who is half mud and half ice and her name is Caribou :DDDD I can't quite decide whether to nickname her Cari or Beau although I'm leaning to beau :3

Idk if anyone is a fan of Manifest but it was in a similar situtation as Dead Boy Detectives is: canceled on a cliffhanger and then picked back up. There's a fantastic, enlightening article on how the fans managed to make that happen:

So, Point 1 I'm trying to make: REWATCH THE FUCK OUT OF THIS SHOW. Have it on all day, every day and when it gets to the Netflix Top-10 trending DO NOT STOP. Have it on in the background on a low volume, pop some headphones in if you don't want to hear it. Literally KEEP WATCHING. DO NOT CANCEL YOUR NETFLIX ACCOUNT.

Point 2: If you have a family member or friend who hasn't watched Dead Boy Detectives, ask them to. If they're not interested, here's what I suggest - ask them to let you sign into their account and watch it full through to help boost the viewership. Do it at night when they're sleeping or while they're at work and don't need their account. If Netflix sees an uptick in accounts who have never watched this show watching it, that will raise eyebrows.

They do not care about our feelings. They do not care about the integrity of artful storytelling or the importance of queer representation.

They care about views. We need to give them views. A tremendous turnaround in viewership post-cancellation will make them reconsider. That's how we save our show. It's just like Crystal Palace said - we need a unified front if we're going to face the mistress of doom (Netflix HQ) out there!!!

STREAM THE FUCK OUT OF THIS SHOW and do not stop telling others to do the same! If you were on the fence about watching this show, this is your sign to watch it because we need you now more than ever! I promise you will love it, the show is so meaningful, fun, and special... plus we are an awesome, active fandom with talented writers and artists!
